| Ian Posted this report and said: well impressed with the area, planty places to explore specially if you venture down the side roads and little alleys. We found this to be the best way to find the better bars and restaurants.
The beach a little bit of a let down due the shingle but it was always clean.
Everyone is so friendly here i wouldnt hesitate to give it top marks and suggest if your about to book up, its a little treat, dont hesitate. |

| babs Posted this report and said: This was a very busy resort, it is in fact where lots of greek people have their holiday homes. It reminded us of Scarborough a bit, lots of holiday shops, arcades, even a fun fair complete with big wheel and candy floss!
The two weeks we were there were the main greek holiday period therefore very busy. It did calm down after this but still there were lots of cars/bikes everywhere. There are lots of very good tavernas, especially serving fresh fish. The beach is long and narrow and there is a busy road running alongside which made relaxing sunbathing difficult. However the sea is very clear and excellent for snorkelling. We still enjoyed our holiday despite the traffic but perhaps we'd give this particular resort a miss and try some of the ones further up i.e. Kriopigi |

Helen & Kevin Winter rated Pefkohori as follows:| Cleanliness | | | Resort Entertainment | | | Beach
| Helen & Kevin Winter Posted this report and said: We stayed in the resort of Pefkohori. I would recommend this resort to couples and maybe young familes with small children. Not for the party going type though.
There is plenty to do in the resort. There are plenty of restaurants for you to choose from and various different cuisines.
During the day time there are plenty of shops and supermarkets to browse in and the beach, although it is narrow and shingly is still ok. The sea was quite warm and very clear, good for the snorkellers amongst you as you could see lots of fish in the water it is so clear.
Of an evening there are still plenty of bars that are open till the early hours of the morning.
One of our favourite bars has to be "Mamos Internet Cafe" as you get such a warm welcome from it's staff and the drinks are cheap. Try some of the cocktails there they are really good and always served with the usual bowl of peanuts!.
It is a resort that I will hopefully be returning to in the very near future.

Stephen Ross rated Pefkohori as follows:| Cleanliness | | | Resort Entertainment | | | Beach
| Stephen Ross Posted this report and said: The resort is what I call the 'tacky'part of Greece, built for drinking and sun bathing, shops selling cheap tacky stuff, not up market at all.
If you wanted to feel as if you were in Greece and not Blackpool you had to walk right along the beach to the very outskirts of the resort.
I also didn't like the number of homeless dogs and cats roaming about the resort getting under your feet all of the time particularly when you were eating anything. There was also a dog that had been killed on the side of the road and it was there the full stay of my holiday.
I've been all over Greece and can honestly say it's the only resort I would never go back to although the apartments were one of the best that I've ever stayed in. But I must emphasis that I like tradional Greece the more quieter resorts not this "new" Greece built mainly for drinking booze. |

Si rated Pefkohori as follows:| Cleanliness | | | Resort Entertainment | | | Beach
| Si Posted this report and said: The resort itself was very bustling at the weekends. This reason is that Greek people have holiday homes here so they come to get away from the cities to Pefkohori, so the resort can get very very busy.
There are loads of shops bars and restaurants both ways up the main drag, and also in the old square. Also Hanioti and other resorts are just a short taxi ride away if you want to go a little further. There were loads of clubs and bars for late night drinking, and also lots of gift shops. There are a couple of super markets also which are of good price on food. There are a couple of 'booze and fag' shops as well if you want to take any back.
The beach is very long and was nice and clean, is was also shallow at so its great for small children etc. But the beach can get very busy so get there early, there are loads of sun beds to hire as well. |

You don't have to pay for your sun lounges there and there is music. Only four bars in resort though they are open late. Resort is really for couples and familes. |

Pauline rated Pefkohori as follows:| Cleanliness | | | Resort Entertainment | | | Beach
| Pauline Posted this report and said: I did'nt think much of this resort if we had been there 2 weeks I think we would have been board. We also went to a restaurant called Maxims on the main street and were served chicken that was only half cooked, having got food poisoning abroad last year I was rather annoyed that when we asked for the meal to be taken away then not being able to eat anything else we were still charged full price. The beach was very narrow especially when the tide came in and it was really packed, |

| Joanne from Nuneaton travelled to Pefkohori in 6/2009 |
Joanne rated Pefkohori as follows:| Cleanliness | | | Resort Entertainment | | | Beach
| Joanne Posted this report and said: Pefkohori is a very quiet little beach-front resort with some nice places to eat, but not much to do overall. The beach runs along the entire length of it, but is more pebbly/gritty than sandy and it is also quite crowded. If you decide to swim then please watch out for sea urchins (black spiky things on the sea bed) as their spines can puncture your foot if you step on them and this can cause quite a bit of pain.
Overall it was a nice enough place and fairly tidy, but there was grafitti around much of it and the actual entertainment around the place was lacking.
To get a lot out of a holiday here you have to be prepared to spend money either hiring a car, or on excursions (we recommend any trips to the Sithonia peninsula, which is far superior). This is the same for nightlife.
Unfortunately there were just not enough to do to satisfy us at this resort and we did not budget enough to be able to get out to explore much else, and so we became quite bored.
An ok place for those looking to lie on the beach and relax, but a week in definitely long enough. |
