Costa Teguise is a very nice resort ideal for couples and young children.As it is a little on the quite side i think that teens and those in maybe their early twenties would be a little bored.There are a cople of nightclubs and some bars are open until the small hours.Beware the electrical shops,the guys there seem more like a bunch of "Del Boys".....surely being able to reduce a price for a camera from 140 Euros to around 50 Euros is probably a warning of the lack of qaulity.....i didnt take the chance!!!
There are a number of good bars in the resort ,among our favourites were "Scots and Wry" in the square,"Wild Thistle" upstairs....youll find out were i mean,and "Vito" which is situated under the Galeon Playa apartments.Try the Occidental Teguise hotel bar for a completely different experience.......revolving bar floor!!All in all a very good resort for maybe older couples and those with young children,we will actually be returning.Oh yes an important note:They will tell you that they arent timeshare people but alas they are..be warned!!!

I thought the resort of costa teguise very clean, the entertainment low key nice beaches plenty of nice restaurants family atmosphere a good base for exploring the island yes I would go back but not to club los zocos.

Costa Teguise has lovely beaches the best being las Cucharas beach, the sea was warmer than the pool. Our kids loved the bungee-trampoline!
The resort itself made me regret going All-Inclusive as there are some lovely looking and varied restaurants.

Costa Tequise (in my opinion) is one of the best areas in Lanzarote. I would put it as the upmarket area. I travelled around Lanzarote, and did not think that much of some of the other resorts.

Costa Teguise is a lovely resort, but very windy. Bring a coat!

Clean beach - plenty for children to do. Bars clean - food good - no hassle with touts.

We love the resort of Costa Teguise. Theres just enough to do. There are many bars and restaurants and even a disco! It is one of the better places to stay in Lanzarote. We were pleased that the resort still remanined clean and bright.
The beaches are really nice. The one that is opposite the Galeon Playa is very safe for children to play in. The water is shallow and clear. The bigger beach which is just around the corner is large and just as nice but its more open. There are more waves etc...
The really only bad thing about the beaches are that there are rocks in the sea, which could be dangerous.
We cant wait to go again!!!

There did seem plenty to do in the main part of Teguise but in the main we stayed on the outskirts where our apt,s was.We did hire a car

didnt have to use the entertainment in resort as paul and anthony were fab. we used the beach and it was nice and clean .

Costa teguise was a busy enough resort - not for those looking for discos and late night bars. There are many restraunts and I have yet to find a bad one to eat in Lanis has opened up near the beach area in recent months and the food was fab with three courses each and two bottles of wine for four coming in at

Costa Teguise itself didn't grab us too much, seems a bit spread out. Not as much warmth and ambience as other resorts on the island.We didn't have to spend too much time in and around Costa Teguise though with all the facilities at the hotel and when we did venture out it was nice to explore the island a bit further afield.The island as a whole is very,very special.

Dreadful hotel, but a wonderful location. I would say visit Lanzarotte but stay very clear from this horrible hotel!!!!

We found Costa teguise to be a pleasant resort, catering for most tastes, it was a shame to see the amount of dog excrement along the walkways. The public transport all over the island was poor, and there was no tourist information centre in the resort.

Costa Teguise is a bit like Blackpool in the sense that there is an abundance of tacky shops, English bars and restaurants. Walking along the front is best but my firmest reccomendation would be to hire a car. Dont go through the holiday reps as this will cost you around 30 euro's per day. Shop around the local agancies. We hired a brand new four door VW Polo with baby seat for around 10 euro's per day. We didn't stay in Costa Teguise much but travelled the island in our own transport. Road signs are easy to read and the maps available in the hotel outline each road on the island. Make sure you go to the welcome meeting and then decide yourself which sights you want to see - it's miles cheaper this way.
Jameos Del Agua is a must see and the harbour town of Peurto Calero is quite beautiful. We went to Teguise market on Sunday which was good to see the local singers and dancers in the square, but most items sold on the market you can get from bohemin shops back in england and are very expensive. Glass bottom boat tours can be a rip off even if you decide to choose one yourslef so choose wisely! We didn't! Also beware of the Big Game Fishing excursions as if the sea is rough - which it usually is, the fishing time spent is minimal and you don't get any refund or compensation for the money you have spent sitting on your bum and not fishing - very disappointing.
My best advice is to get out there and cram in as much as possible as there are some beautiful spots which are very unexpected.
Be careful with the food as we ended up with spanish tummy for most of our holiday, which really ruined it. Be sure to avoid ice in your drinks as they make this with their own tap water and always make sure eggs are cooked properly. If you are a fish fan try the grilled Tuna - its heavenly.
Lanzarote has a lot to offer, you just need to get out there and find it for yourself.

Resort is nice and quite clean. The beaches are ok. Entertainment in the resort was medicore.
I would visit this resort but I would go to another hotel.

The resort of Costa Teguise is really nice, even out of the main season, there was a lot going on, we went in January. The shops are open late, and there is a market in the square one night a week. The Cucharas beach is lovely, clean and golden sand, with a promenade behind. Plenty of supermarkets to stock up if on self catering.

we went to club siroco on a late deal with direct holidays as coming from the airport to the apartments got quite a shock as it was realy derilect but once at the resort it was wonderfull the reps were on hand all day and the hotel staff were great the apartments were cleaned every day with clean towels and bedding every day costa teguise was very clean relaxing and hot the resort suits every kind of ages i would recomend this resort as i did not want to leave

costa teguise is a very pleasant place quite low key so suited us good variety of food on offer in the restaurants

The resort was clean and tidy and the beach was lovely the clearest water i have ever seen.

Quite a quiet resort compared to Puerto del Carmen. Beaches in main area got fairly busy when we were there but nothing to awful. Town is quite small but very clean, hardly saw any litter lying around.

We went on the Grand Tour of the island. Worth doing an organised coach tour as it is almost impossible to park at peak holiday times, especially the 'Fire Mountain' as they only allow a certain number of cars there. Teguise Market on a Sunday is worth a visit, especially if you want fake handbags, watches and holiday sourvenirs. However I didn't think it was that cheap, though when I offered less for some fake sunglasses and it was accepted. So it's worth pretending you don't have that much on the original price - mini bartering!

Costa teguise is a very nice place to visit but i would reccommend a week is enough.
The best beach is by far 'Las cucharas' with its white sands
and blue sea.
The resort was very clean and we did not any rubbish lying round.
As we went in April the weather was very hot throughout the day but got very cold and windy at night.
There was not much entertainment but were a few pubs/restaurants doing karoke and live music.
Overall i would rate Costa teguise 7/10.

Costa Teguise is a pleasant resort, clean & tidy, not lots of nightlife but plenty of bars & restaurants about! Beaches are quite nice, not very big, lots of windsurfing on the main beach. Good for walking as promenade walkway pathed and quite flat so suitable for most people!

The resort is not as lively as Puerto Del Carmen,however it does have several commercial centres,dont make the mistake of visiting the nearest "one" and thinking thats all there is.It has the obligatory "Spanish square" (market on a Friday night),watch the world go by from one of several bars, retaurants (recommend CHISPAS),very cheap drinks!Resort is very civilised, no lager louts.Would go there all the time.

It was are 3rd visit to Costa Teguise.Being a couple in our 50's,and one of us having a mobility problem,this resort suit's us well.It is quite flat and easy to get around,although wheelchair user may have a problem with some of the ramp's,which are very steep.
There are restaurant's to every taste's.Bar's of all kind,English,Tapas,Irish and Scottish.Most bars have entertainment of some kind,but you can alway's find a quiet bar if thats what you want.The beaches are clean and have good sand, sun bed's can be hired,but a short walk away from the main beache's you will find nice quiet rocky coves.

The resort is nice offering many bars, restaurants only a couple of clubs though. The people are very friendly and welcoming. The entertainment is mainly bars and they were all excellent but could be pricey in some.

The beach was great very well kept no litter problems and always plenty of people visiting it every day.

We went to other places on the island there are many hire car places around Costa Teguise but make sure you look around for a good price, some are more pricey than other. We found we needed to go to other resorts to find more entertainment.

Overall we did find this resort nice to visit but would not stay again as we preferred one of the more lively resorts in Lanzarote.

This hotel was close to the beach and local ammunities. The beach was gorgeoas and hot the sea was clean, there was not so many buildings so you could get a good veiw where ever you looked.

Costa Teguise is definately a quiet place for anyone to relax but only a bus ride away to Puerta del Carmen which is more the hussle and bussle of Lanzorote but definately advise anybody to go there and especially in the Los Zocos Club resort. Hope to see you soon again - Mrs Mackey

teenages will love the shops along the seafront that sell surf gear such as ripcurl and quicksilver

The resort was very clean, their was plenty of entertainment if you required it.(FOOTBALL BIG SCREENS)as our men managed to find!!!
The beach was not very big but kept very clean.
We would all say YES we would all return to PUNTA JABILLIO.

We came to Costa Tequise a few years ago and couldn't wait to come back this year. When we arrived it looked worn out and tired. The whole resort could do with a coat of paint!
Everything was exactly the same apart from a few more empty buildings.
I do still like the resort and would go back again and again as there is something about Costa Tequise for me that makes me feel at home from home.

The accommodation is in the brochure but does not do it justice. It is a well run, clean and welcoming complex that is perfect for a family group of all ages. We were 8 to 88 in our party. This is the second time we have stayed there, and enjoyed every minute of it dispite the weather.

Costa Teguise was a lovely resort and we appreciated just how lovely when we visited fuertuerventura for the day. There was plenty to see around the resort and the beach was clean. You could hire 2 sun loungers with parasol on the beach for 6 euros a day. There were very few people to pester you to buy things unlike many tourist resorts.

animation team great especially KATIE & KELLY they were great with the kids they really made our childrens holiday Carlie,Steph, Sam and Josh would love to say hi!!! Entertainment was a bit boring the second week as it was a repeat of the first week. your Starlight Express show was brill, Kelly's a great skater so was Mark.The whole team deserve a medal for the long hours they worked while we were there
Food in the restaurant was great good variety, very polite staff all round. Would love to come back next year, recommended Los Zocos to many of our friends.

the resort was great the kids liked the bumgee jumping and had their hair plaited.the beaches were superb especially papagayo.camel riding was excellent.the animation team was great especially KATIE and KELLY they were great with kids and they miss them a lot when we got home my youngest daughter cried we would definately come back soon we made some great friends there we have also recommended this hotel to a lot of our friends.

costa teguise was great for familys and clean

We found the resort to be spotless, as for the resort entertainment we didn't really go out much in the week that we were there but when we did we enjoyed ourselves. there were two beaches local to the apartments we found that the Las Curachas beach was clean with plenty of sun loungers and close to the shops and a good old English Pub.

I would definitely return to Costa Tequise and am looking to possibly book an holiday there this year with my family.

Lots of tourist type gift shops, camera shops everywhere
loads of car rental so you can shop around. Plenty of food places. The resort was clean and the beach is fantastic a bit wind swept at times.

The resort of Costa Teguise is looking a bit shabby (there are a few derelict buildings) and there is not a great deal of choice in respect of restaurants or shops. The resort is also very spread out and has no real centre. I expected alot more from the resort in view of the brochure description and reviews I had read.

Evening entertainment is limited away from the hotels and seemed to be mainly karaoke and if it rained during the day there was even less to do.

The Jabillo and Cucharas beaches were both nice but very quiet due to the weather we had. It was cloudy most days and due to the constant wind it was pretty cold when the sun wasn't shining.

the resort of costa teguise is great if you are going as a family, its kept clean, plenty to do (karoke bars and family pubs and plenty of restaurants.
the beaches are clean, though dont go to far out in the sea as my nephew got bitten by a star fish and we had to buy some cream as his foot swol up.
if you are going here as a family you will love it but if as a couple with loads of lively discos and nightclubs dont. jellyfish is the only good bar a around the area of the punta jabillo hotel.

The resort was clean. It was very quiet with entertainment in the bars, mostly karaoke, gets boring after a while. One bar we enjoyed going in was the Sunburnt Arms round by the beach overlooking the sea, they did a quiz night and seemed to get busy.

Overall the resort was too quiet (we are in our early 40s) for us with not enough different things going on, may be more will be going on during the high season.

The resort of Costa Teguise is beautiful and clean, the local bars were very welcoming and friendly we had a brilliant steak dinner at the Paradise Bar down on the beach front and the entertainment at the Lighthouse Bar was brilliant.We loved the beach and stayed until late as it was still warm and the kids loved it. We are booking up again to go back to Lanzarote in August 2005.

As the resort of Costa Teguise is new, evrywhere still looked immacualtely kept. During the days, gardeners etc, could be seen keeping the gardens up to standard. The whole newness of the resort could definately be detected by all visitors. The entertainment in the resort was not particularly good. There are many restaurants all serving up fantastic food, but after eating, there are not many places to go. There a re a few bars and that is about it. The best entertainmet came from one of the hotels, The Occidental, were my family ended up every night. We did not visit the beach during the day, but at night, it looked beautifuly kept. I would not visit this resort again as I feel it is too quite for me and my family. or the past years we have been holidaying in Ayia Napa and Ibiza and Costa Teguise is nowhere near the standard both of these resorts hold.

It's a lovely place, would definitely visit again.

Loved the laid back atmosphere of Teguise.Never hurried anywhere.Clean promenades,beaches and bars.

costa tequise does not really have much to offer to young people, a couple of bars and the same old usual shops that you get in any spanish resort. one worker said the only reason he came out here to live was because of the surf(says a lot really) it would be a lovely place if you are retired and just looking to relax. the most exciting thing we done was head to the water park. and head in to puerto del carmen for the day, plenty to do there!!

The resort is still being developed, it was not very clean, the beaches were ok, but you constantly get hasseled by people in the shops to get you to buy electrical goods (which are a rip off, check on the internet back at the hotel before you buy any electrical goods)they promise they are cheaper than back home but they are not.

Resort very shabby - in need of cash injection. Very little in the way of resort entertainment - unless you class street vendors as entertainment!

Lovely restaurants - had good meals when out. Stay away from the water park cost 72 euros for 2 adults & 2 kids then expected to pay for sun lounger! no shade and kids not allowed to wear t-shirts so lots of sunburnt kids at the end of the day. Keep applying the cream mums!

Costa Teguise is a very attractive fairly quiet resort with plenty of bars and restaurants. The night-life was quiet and would not suit people looking to go clubbing. The bus services to other resorts was very good. Bad points about the resort was the time share touts and camera shops were dodgy. Also Costa Teguise is at the North of the island and therefore cooler and windier than the other resorts which we hadn't realised and was a little disappointing in February.

all i can say is go there and you wont be disappointed and thats a promise

We found costa teguise to be a lovely family resort. The beaches were very clean. Our hotel was near to jablillo beach which is great for young children very shallow water. We didnt use the entertainment in costa teguise as we went all inclusive but we did go out for dinner two nights and both times had a lovely meal. We would definately go back to this resort again.

Costa Teguise is a lovely resort for families and anyone who doesn't really fancy the rowdy clubs and bars of Puerto del Carmen. We were near Legends and Cactus Jacks, which we didn't visit but they seemed popular with a few people from our hotel. There are also plenty of British/Irish pubs around the resort.

The Las Cucharas shopping centre has some nice little shops, but if you're a keen shopper you'll prefer Puerto del Carmen. Stay away from the electrical shops (your resort rep should warn you about this anyway). If you need to buy food for your apartment, the cheapest places are the Netto stores, which are everywhere, and the Spar stores. Netto and Spar are also very reasonably priced for spirits and wines to take home, but if you want cheap cigarettes the best place we found was a couple of shops near Legends/Cactus Jacks (near the Los Carmenes, Sol and El Trebol Apartments.) I paid

If you walk along the beach front heading right as you come out of the Los Zocos then the beach is much better for the children.

This resort is absolutely beautiful,very clean,i never saw one piece of litter anywhere.The beaches are glorious and the promenade is lined with cafes and bars at good prices.There is a market in the resort on a friday which in my opinion was better to go to than the large market in the old town of Teguise itself,(this is on a sunday and costs about 10 euros on a coach),the market in the old town is massive but it is made up of a repetative number of the same types of stall,about six different types of stall in total.The Friday market has the same stalls but on a smaller scale and it won't cost you any cash to get there either.

We liked the resort as it isn't commercialised enough as yet to be overly busy and therfore it seems to attract families and couples of all ages,no lager loutes here guys!.There are plenty of lovely shops,banking facilities and a couple of chemists.The resort is quite flat on foot so its nice to walk around in and the view out to sea is breath taking.

The weather is deceiving as a warning,use lots of sun cream and re-apply as even through the cloud,(which there is alot of especially on a morning),you can as we did on the first day get quite badly burned.when the cloud shifts in the afternoon you really see just how hot it can get,so if you're visiting in July/Aug be careful!.

Resort is generally clean. Local beach also clean and looked great until you tried to get into the water. There are large rocks at about waist deep, enough to break a toe or leg on.

Restaurants and entertainment OK if you like Blackpool with sun - all British working men's clubs and pub grub although we did find one good Spanish restaurant - spoilt by a miserable head waiter who moaned all night about "the bloody lazy Moroccans" that were working for him.

Costa Teguise impressed us because it was clean and there seemed to be gardeners everywhere tending to flowerbeds, either on the roadside or right in the middle of the roads. Although we didn't go onto the beach it looked clean and popular. However the beach across from our hotel was very, very small and rocky but some guests went everyday and enjoyed it. The sea was a beautiful blue and in Costa Teguise small boats were in a sheltered area. It is quite windy and at first I found it a bit annoying but after a couple of days I was very glad of the breeze because it was so hot. At night the wind drops completely. There are a lot of touristy shops in Costa Teguise and it seemed a supermarket on every corner as there did seem to be a lot of self catering blocks (but all are small no bigger than 3 storeys high). We saw British Pubs offering full English breakfast for E1.97 and large larger for E1.79. None of the prices in any of the shops or cafes seemed to be expensive. I can't comment on the evening entertainment in the main resort as we stayed in our hotel but some guests had gone in to watch the England games (despite the hotel having a room with large screen and the games were freely available to watch on the tv in your own room).

When we went to Arrecife we were a little disappointed because we didn't know enough about the place to realise it wasn't really a tourist place. However, the walk along the seafront is beautiful and there is a beautiful long beach which was almost totally deserted. The walk provided many photo opportunities, from the small marina to the little parks full of gorgeous flowers. Marble arches and seats are provided to sit and enjoy the view. There were also fountains and a bandstand and the locals were sitting playing dominoes which they took very very seriously. Small cafes line the promenade so it is a pleasant place to see but further away from the promenade and in the small streets it's a bit hectic.

We did want to visit Playa Blanca and Pueto del Carmen but we enjoyed our hotel too much to leave it. There are organised excursions too but we just wanted to lie in the sun and relax and despite the hotel being completely full, it was peaceful and relaxing and I would totally recommend this hotel to anyone and the resort of Costa Teguise. Although we didn't have children with us, families we spoke to said despite not receiving a price reduction for children over 12 they considered it excellent value for money. My husband and I wished we had gone there when our offspring were young. It was such a safe place to stay as the children were constantly supervised by caring staff who offered activities to suit even the most fussy child. We are considering going back in October and never before have we wanted to revisit a European resort within so short a timespan.

Beach great, very good for wind surfing.
Very quiet so don't go expecting loads of disco's etc.
Lovely scenery, go to the market on the sunday if only to practice your haggling.

The resort has brilliant eateries. Avoid Lani's though it looks nice but the staff are rude and they are quite expensive.

The Cutty Sark and the Dolphin are next door and both do great grub and great meal deals of buy one meal free and they were on average about 11 euro.

The beach was lovely and there are some great places for scuba diving.The people are great and if Frank, Annette and Onya are reading you helped make it great too.

Very Very windy, should invest on some windbreakers!! Beaches were very nice but we wern't able to enjoy them as the wind was so bad the sand would hurt.

Quiet place for people who like to walk!

We found resort of costa teguisa was clean and there was enough bars and resteraunts with entertainment to suit all ages. the beach's we visited were small but clean and the main beach had watersports for all

the resort was fairly clean, some rubbish blowing about in the wind but 5-600 people are bound to make some litter,the beach was about 5 mins. away clean tidy and plenty of sunbeds.shops ok. but electrical retailers were a real pain calling you into their shops to buy crap copies of sony/hitachi goods.grocery stores excellent value and choice

The resort was very nice and clean with a good promenade to walk along the sea front, there was lots of pubs and eating places and the beach standard was very good with nice clean sand on the main beach, but if you walk further up to the sands complex you will find a better sandy beach with fewer people on it the only problem there , there is no parasols so you would have to take one with you, as the sun can be very strong and you tend not to notice it as there is a very strong wind blowing all the time.

Resort was clean and tidy, if a liitle shabby.
Entertainment in the resort revolved around Euro2004.
Beach was excellent, although rocky at the waters edge, walk further along the front for less rocks.
Constantly harassed to buy jewellry, sunglasses, hair braiding and watches.
Avoid the electronics shops.

Nice clean resort with a frequent breeze which made the heat bearable during the day and made the evenings enjoyable. Adviseable when walking along the beach front to venture into some of the alley ways off it as they lead to nice pubs and restuarants. Only thing I was disappointed in was the lack of nice shops for buying holiday gifts and treating yourself to their nice nick nacks.

Costa Teguise is a quieter, less commercial resort than Puerto del Carmen - it has a more gentle way of life and is especially suited to families and those who enjoy less noisy resorts. There is a market in Pueblo Marinero (just ask any taxi driver) on Friday evenings where you can buy reasonably priced jewellery, crafts and leather goods (remember to haggle). The beaches are good and there are numerous safe rock pools where snorkelling is ideal. Also fishing from the rocks can be great fun (I caught a gurnard on my first try!). Restaurants are abundant though do try the local Tapas cafe just opposite the main car park in Pueblo Marinero - the locals eat here and it is cheap and gives you a more authentic taste than maybe the more touristy eateries. The 'looky, looky' peddlars are everywhere, selling anything from 'designer' sunglasses, lighters and children's novelties - if you really don't want to purchase anything just be pleasant and firm and they won't trouble you too much. Recommended visits during your stay are: Lagomar - a beautiful restaurant/cafe built into the volcanic rocks near Nazaret. The museum of Cesar Manrique in Tahiche. Mirador del Rio for outstanding views of the island of La Graciosa. Puerto Calero - a superb, peaceful suntrap and marina where you can board a submarine and explore the shallows around the cove, or the catamaran for a great day of sunbathing, drinking and generally having a good time!
Thoroughly recommended.

costa tequise is ideal for families that want a relaxing holiday by the pool or beach. quite a few shops all mainly selling the same thing. it is a quite resort maybe this is due to the time of year we went?? but we enjoyed the hotel so much that we would go back.

Resort was quiet, just a few shops and bars and a small shopping complex. There were a few pubs to go to in the evening the best one we found was LEGENDS which had acts on every night, Beatles tribute, Abba tribute, hipnotist etc nightly quizes between acts, and happy hour twice a night.
The resort was always clean, there were a few people going around trying to sell you watches and things but they didn't hassel you to much and there were no time share people about. There a couple of beaches nearby and although clean they are quite rocky in parts.

Costa Teguise was perfect for us with a group of children as the breeze meant that the kids were never flustered with the heat. You still have to be aware of the stength of the sun though and we all came back with great tans.

Pubs, eateries and coffee shops were in abundance but some of them on the front prom were a bit 'blackpoolish'!! However the area around the witches hat had a great italian. Bit more pricey but excellent food.

Typical brits bar is Legends, good basic food at cheap price and no-where better to watch the England match. Mike the owner is friendly and will give you all tourist gen on the places to go etc. He also does the best sangria..................

One thing you must do is the Catamarang trip. Seems quite pricey but absolutely worth it. All drinks and food included along with a jet ski ride and an opportunity to snorkel. Brilliant.

costa teguise is clean tidy and friendly. i recomend going to jelly fish which is a club/bar, and any of the bars on the second level of the building. we didnt shop or eat out. the beach was nice and had a lovely view in the evening.

Town was very clean and friendly, the bars and clubs are pretty good for a quiet resort. Didnt eat out but the restaurants looked really nice, didnt shop, i did see the beach but i wasnt quiet concious, but the view at the end of the rocky road where i think an old church was is absoloutly amazing and very romantic, if you have got someone to share it with!

A quiet up and coming resort. Ideal for families and windsurfers. Quite breezy but in the height of summer this is needed. Small selection of bars and restaurants. If you are wanting a all girls/lads holiday this isn't the resort for you.

Very clean with place and enjoyed a nice stroll into the busier part of the resort. Visted the usual Irish and Scottish pubs. Enjoyed eating in a couple of nice restaurants on the sea front. Can be a bit breezy but at times you really needed it to cool you down a bit.

costa teguise itself is a nice peaceful family resort good for couples or families wanting shops bars and restraunts but not too much. legends is an amazing place to visit shows every night cheap drink and food is british (heinz beans!!!) we ate there every night. the resort itself was very well maintained there were no bad smells or cockroaches runnin around and people are friendly. we ver rare saw looky-looky men and women only down on the beach front.beach was amazing and the views of the island good too.aquapark was very big but only worth the money if children like the slides as it is 80 euros for 3ads 1 child and u have to pay for sun loungers!

Costa Teguise, We have visited three times now and prefer it to any other place in Lanzarote,nice big sandy beach,nice bars on beach,windsurfing also interesting to watch,we like the constant breeze,although take care re burning,car hire is recommended to see the rest of the island,autos martinas are very good,no hidden charges,or Lutons tours if you prefer an island tour,good relaxed atmosphere about Costa Teguise,not too busy,unlike Carmen ,but its different strokes and all that,pay attention when booking as you might end up in accomadation which is way up by the aqua park,which incidently is a pure rip off,we will go back to Costa Teguise.

We found the resort of Costa Tequise to be exactly what we were looking for in a holiday. Probably not ideal for someone who is looking for lots of clubs etc. but there were lots of restaurants, selling good and reasonably priced food. Excellent location for family holidays. Resort entertainment was variable but good overall. During our stay we hired a car and visited various other places on the island but I think we were in the best resort for a good family holiday.

The beach nearest to our accommodation was very poor, only stones and empty bottles/cans etc. The cleanest beach (and the one shown in all of the brochures) is a good 15 minute walk away.

Sorry, but going for an early morning walk to see women older than my mother staggering around still drunk from the night before and throwing up in the street is not my idea of a nice clean resort.

If you like lots of bars (all selling British food & beer), amusement arcades and tacky gift shops then you will love it.

Eating out is good,never had a bad meal your usual holiday type food.The beaches were good but we could'nt get anywhere near them as you got totally sandblasted!!

Not much in the way of nightlife as such. Most places closed at 12 midnight so I can understand why this place is so popular with families and couples. Binmen clean down the bin areas when they empty the bins so the whole place was very clean and tidy. No rubbish lying around and therefore no cockroaches. Although we did see one on the main road at night.

The entertainment is always vibrant and exciting. We wanted to take VIKKI from TEGUISOL home with us. God that girl works hard for her pittance!!! What a star!

Costa Teguise is a super resort with a constant cooling breeze. Friday market small but excellent.Will definitely visit again in summer.

Costa Teguise was a big disappointment. No major shopping areas and the place doesn't have any major attractions. We visited it twice and went to Puerto Del Carmen for the rest of our shpooing trips.

The resort was great for a family - fantastic food.

The beach was fantastic with sunloungers and umbrellas - it is advisable to go early as they are taken quickly. Massage is also available and brilliant.

A recommeded visit is to Teguise Market on a Sunday and Timnafiya Mountain.

Costa Teguise is a quiet family resort with lots of excellent restaurants and bars offering something to suit all tastes. We ate out every night and never had a meal which did not match anything available in the UK. Most mornings are quite cloudy/hazy but this usually burns off by late morning leaving the afternoons with brilliant sunshine. There is always a breeze, sometimes strong, which helps to make afternoon temperatures bearable but you can still burn even through the cloud so slap on the sunscreen. The resort is much quieter than it's neighbour Porta Del Carmen. The transfer time from the airport is only about 20 mins.

Didnt go out into resort much cos we were in all inclusive in los zocos. Well we could hear a karaoke going on and both myself and my hubby like karaoke, so we asked miguel one of the animation team about this, he told us go to cactus jacks/joes. What a big mistake. The beer was warm, when i complained about this i was told (rather rudely) by a woman that every thing was warm, she was, the glasses were, and what did i expect!! I was furious, we left our drinks and left the bar. Therefore my warning is STAY AWAY FROM THIS BAR.

Nothing wrong with Teguise although it always seemed to be windy,we preferred Puerto del Carmen which had more shops and a longer promenade.

Great for entertainment. A lot of bars are open to late at night. They often did karoke which we all took part in!!!! Very clean. LOADS AND LOADS of shops and restaurants which are good quality and cheap!!!

Costa Teguise is a very beautiful resort. I would go back but go to a different hotel. The beach is small but very clean.

Costa Teguise was one of the cleanist resorts I have ever visited, you never see any litter and people are always around cleaning.
I didn't really see a lot of the nights entertainment because I was back at the hotel but the stuff I did see was great.
The beach was lovely but painfull, you couldn't go in some of the sea for the painfull sharp rocks. But if you pick the right beaches your fine...
I loved it. I'd recomend it to anyone.

Costa Teguise out of high season would be lovely. I travelled there in low season and loved the peace, but variety of shops. I dislike the "Brits abroad" entertainment and sadly don't welcome English bars and wet T-shirt contests.. some of us like to travel and expand our horizons out of drunken English people and Karaoke!

The resort great for wind surfing and getting a good tan!

the resort was ok if a little out the way from where we were staying. it was very clean but it looked to me like it wasnt yet finished. the beach was exellent but water too cold to swim in. the best bar for entertainment is the bull dog where oggie does the karaoke.plenty of places to eat and very reasonably priced!

Beaches very clean. The cove was brilliant - you could easily see fish in the water. The water sports beach was absolutely fantastic - the waves were extremely good fun. Resort itself had much to offer.

The resort is good with bars, restuarants a plenty. The beaches are also very good, one for swimming safely, another next door for wind surfing etc. all good for getting a tan.

Didn't spend a lot of time in the resort but went out for several meals at the Galeon Restaurant which made a change from the boring food at the hotel!Had a look around the shops in the evenings .
Beach wasn't very nice- very crowded and sunbeds close together-12 Euros for 4 sunbeds and 2 umbrellas. Water was murky and very stony to get in which the kids didn't like, although not cold.

If you are looking for a quiet resort then this is for you. Several bars scattered around the resort. Beach is rocky and no where as nice as Puerto Del Carmen a 40 min bus ride away , for just a few Euros

We have been to Costa teguise twice now and it is a relaxing holiday, not too much hustle bustle. We find it an extremely clean resort, very windy though, which helps when it is red hot. Nightlife is relaxed and quiet.

Cactus jacks,legends are ok,try the buffet resturant near shopping centre good value, family of four can eat and drink as much as you like for 28 euros.

On the whole the resort was relatively clean, although there were some areas where people just threw their litter rather than using the litter bins provided. I cannot comment on the entertainment as we only went out to eat. Having a young child makes it difficult to enjoy any entertainment fully. The main beaches were always very busy and appeared clean, however there are some thoughtless people who bury sharp objects (glass) in the sand. We mainly used a quieter beach to the left of the main beach, this was brilliant for swimming, snorkling and hunting in rock pools at low tide. Although there were rubbish bins provided on the beach area, these are not always used. We all liked the resort of Costa Teguise very much. The best advice which we received was, to avoid all the electrical shops in the area. The tactics of these sales people is very intimidating, and they will try to entice you into their shop in any way they can. We steared clear as much as we could, but were still approached whenever we walked past one of their shops.

The resort was very clean the shopkeepers always cleaned there doorsteps.
The entertainment was ok. there were alot of kareoke bars and there was alot of restaurants which we visited as the complex we stayed in lacked in that catergorie.there is a lovely restaurant on the beach front of punta jabillo take a left and you are there.It is a really nice restaurant you must go there.
The beach was really good but you couldn't stay on there for very long because it was really hot.It could have had a beach hut on there because you have to walk quite a way to get a drink or something to eat it was also quite clean.
I wouldn't visit this resort again because everything was kareoke...kareoke.

We were a family of 5 (children being 9, 8 and 5). We tried the main 'Las Cucharas' beach but found it too busy and the windsurfers were very near the swimmers. We moved around the beach next to the big hotel on Teguise Playa - it's almost a man-made lagoon - perfect for snorkelling and safe swimming. The children loved it. We spent most of our two weeks in Costa Teguise and can't complain about anything.

It's not a place for the young reveller. This is no Puerto Del Carmen or Ibiza!!! Families can book a holiday here safe in the knowledge that it's not filled with party goers.

Don't expect too much on the shopping front. There's a small market on Fridays which is nice but little else apart from the tourist boutiques, oh and the electrical shops which are just looking to make a quick sale from you.

We'd definitely recommend it and return (although not for a few years).

We loved Costa Teguise, this is the second time we have stayed in this resort. Excellent for families and couples. No noisy youths, just the right amount of restaurants and bars. Costa Teguise is not set along one long road like many resorts, so initally you may think there is not much there, however on closer inspection you will often stumble across small squares with several restaurants, bars etc.

The resort is quite small but has a lovely beach with plenty of sunbeds which you pay 6 euros per day to hire. There are plenty of places to eat and a couple of netto supermarkets to purchase any items you need. There are some local shops for souvenirs. The electrical shops are definitely to be avoided at all times. They are rumoured to double scan credit cards and not actually put in the box the item you are led to believe you are purchasing. They also hassle you when you are trying to avoid them. We would recommend this resort to families and would visit the resort again.

The resort itself was great for families. I would not recommend it for youngsters looking for night life entertainment. Most of it was closed by 10.30pm. For us just perfect!

Excellent resort, I've never had as many good quality meals on a holiday. Everything from tapas to Swiss - would recommend any of the places serving chateaubriand, gorgeous! Great to see an area where egg and chips is not in high demand. A small resort in comparison with Puerto del Carmen but we liked the pace there and were never bored. Clean with lots on offer. Would definitely go back.

It is a very pleasant place to stay - lovely climate, warm and breeze. There is a choice of beaches within 5 minutes walk of each other -one with waves and lots of belly boarding and windsurfers, the other is more peaceful with gorgeous fish which swim around you as you snorkel.

This was our 1st time in Lanzarote, but it will not be the last. The smaller beaches have lots of rocks in the sea and people were having difficulty paddling. However the larger beaches were clean and lots of room. We went to a few local bars (mainly to watch football) and found the bars very friendly and welcoming.
We went on a few organised trips around Lanzarote,the fire mountain tour is a "must" for anyone visiting the island.

We didn't venture out past the shopping centre and the nearest beach, the resort though is very nice especially for families looking for a quiet holiday.The locals in the shops are very friendly and helpful even if you say no to them .

The weather however was fantastic, we hired a car and visited Timafaya national park as well as riding on the camels en-route. Prices are expensive in comparison to mainland spain. Glass bottom boats are great day out. watersports are also available. But these facilities are in Puerto del carmen 15 mins drive south of costa tequise.

The hotel was in a great location with the small shallow beach just 100 metres across the road. 5-10mins walkaway you'll find the larger, busier beach and where the shops, bars, etc are located.
The terrain in the resort of Costa Teguise is fairly flat so pushing buggies/wheelchairs is not a problem.

Families are well suited to this resort as they are well catered for and pretty quiet. We only saw one police car drive by during our stay in Costa Teguise. In contrast, on a day trip to Puerto del Carmen, police presence was visble with foot patrol on the streets and beach front.

Litter was minimal in Costa Teguise though we did see fag ends. More importantly, there were no broken glass around whereas in Puerto del Carmen it was a hazard. There were loads of broken bottles on the beach as well as the pavements along the beach front which made it dangerous for my children to walk. Especially my toddler who's still wobbly on her feet!!

All in all we really enjoyed our holiday in Costa Teguise and certainly would not hesitate to visit Lanzarote again

Could not fault the entertainment, the Thompson Reps were absoulutly fantastic!!, Alex, Ruth, Tony, Paul, Natalie, Becky, Hannah, Jenny, Jo,Clare 1 & 2 and all the rest all very friendly & helpful at all times, a really great bunch of people who do their job extremely well.
We have been on plently of holidays in the past and these guys are easily the best we've ever met, they really get you envolved and always have time for you and the family. Rancho Texas night out is a must, it was excellent and the Aquapark really good too.
Sports Cafe does really great food, The Slow Boat Chinese-beautiful, we didn't have a bad meal the whole two weeks. If you are due to go this year and you want any specific questions answered we will respond as best as possible.

There isnt really much to do in costa Tiguise.There are shops and bars but Puerto del Carmen is much better for shopping and nightlife.
We didnt go to the beach often but if you went into the sea you paddled on rocks.There is a nice beach for snorkeling if you like doing that.
If i was to return to Lanzarote i would stay at Puerto del Carmen.

costa teguise is a lovely place to stay, very beautiful and clean, very chilled out place to stay.

Only one word of warning. Between 8.00am-11.00am each morning I would watch, from our balcony, the Engish Time share Tout's working next to the hotel. They start with "Hello are you English?" and pass scratch cards to eveyone in you party, with some speel about winning money. The number of times I heard "wow you got five!!!" and the poor unsuspecting family are driven off to Porto del Carmen to collect their price but don't return for hours having been interigated about Time share appartments with no idea how to get out and back to Costa Taguise. My advise is DO NOT BE POLITE, REFUSE TO TAKE HOLD OF THE SCRATCH CARDS AND WALK AWAY FAST. If not the holiday could be more expensive than you ever imagined.
On a happy note. Underneath the jelly fish bar is the Slow Boat Chinese Restaurant.WHAT A FANTASTIC PLACE. The staff are excellent as is the food and value for money. The best time to eat here or anywhere in Costa Taguise is about 9.15 pm when the Brits are off to the pub and the locals come out to eat....it's much quieter and ther are more tables available.

Costa Teguise was in my opinion run down away from the main tourist area's and was in need on a good clean up. ie litter patrols as if we think we have a problem, we dont in comparison. The beach was nice and there are plenty of good eating places especially the Engish Carvery. There is some entertainment for little ones and late night spots for older ones

Costa Teguise manages to be a busy resort with lots of bars and restuarants but somehow not seem too noisy.
Plenty of beaches to choose from and the further you walk along the promenade the nicer they got.
Our favourite places were the Portifino italian restuarant for food,the Dolphin by the sea for good football coverage, the Vali cocktail bar on the main road but for all round entertainment you have to go to the Lighthouse esp when Robbo is singing its a great laugh!

Costa Tegiuse is a good excellent resort this is the 4th time we have visited and already booked for next year.

Excellent choice bars and restaurants, everything within walking distant. Lots of shops for all you duty free.

Costa Teguise was a nice resort to stay at.There was lots to do including days out to the Aquapark which is very good fun and I highly recommend it, trips to puerto del carmen, Teguise market and plenty of shops to keep you occupied. The beaches were quite nice, although they were quite small, there were lots of rocks around which were very good for snorkling and seeing lots of fish. There is lots of night life in Costa Teguise, including live music bars and there was one family fun bar called Saxos at the end of the road which was great and we spent a few nights in there.

Overall we enjoyed our holiday and would probably visit the resort again.

Costa teguise is a nice resort we went with family and friends there was 17 off us all together aged from 4 to 38.

If you have young kids look for the snorkelling beach its great for the kids if u walk round past the surfing beach to the right and follow the path round you will find it.

Its in a cove and its got rock pools full off fish take some bread with you for the fish and watch them all come my kids thought it was great.

We hired a car from a local company and i would recommend that you do the same as there is some lovely resorts to see.the beach was clean and had all the facilities you would need. the town was small but had lots of shops and resturants to visit. we were pleased with our holiday and would go back again in the coming years.

We stayed in Sands Beach most of the day and ventured the easy walk into town for the restaurants. Some seriously good food to be found. Can't say I would have eaten in the "British Carvery" or the "Scottish Bar" but restaurants off the main drag served great tapas. Try out Angelos for great Italian food. Town was clean, seemed very safe but didn't use the beach. Only twenty minutes from airport. Grab a cab for only 15 Euros.

costa teguise is geared towards the british tourist and you will be hard pressed to find any spanish dishes in the majority of this resort. the closest beach to the hotel is not very nice, walk into the busier area and it is nicer. local supermarkets have a lot of well known british branded goods. be aware of the "looky looky" people sellinf obviously fake sunglasses and not cheaply either.

Not the cleanest but was very good for our children in kids club and entertainment. we are returning next year because it was very enjoyable and central to pubs,shops,entertainment and different types of food tastes.

We hired a car from Sergio next to Legends at the bottom of the road for 120 euros for 5 days. Sergio is really good and shows you on the map where the best places to go to that the locals use. (Fantastic beaches that are not used by tourist's)

The local's are really friendly and helpful. We have made some good friend's whom we stay in contact with.

The resort is quiet compared with Porta del Carmen but on the whole found it more suitable for kids.

The actual resort of costa teguise was very quiet but nice at the same time. Ideal for families or couples {young and old} who are looking to get away and relax and soak up the sun. Very breezy which was a good thing it kept you cool in the heat.

Costa Teguise is a nice clean area and the beach is immaculate. There are plenty of good resturants(via mayor)is the best,we would go back here.

The Galeon Playa is in a great spot right in the centre. There is lots of shop bars which are all family friendly.
Plenty of supermarkets to choose from. The beaches are nice some small and one large one which is full of windsurfers.

Costa Tequise is lovely. The food is great. It is very clean. The beach can get guite crowded at times.

We ate out and also had chinese takaway as well. Lots of variety.

We went to our hotel entertainment but it is there in the town if you want it. It is a quite a quiet resort though not for the people who like to party all nite.

There is a bar called cactus jacks that stayes open till late and so do the other bars in that area.

Too lively for me though.(i like to stick to bingo in hotel ect)but all in all i would recomend it.

The entertainers where Vicky ( the head entertainer) Lexi and mahoney. They were all excellent. Vicky was a fantastic singer and so where the other two. They really worked hard and where always on the go fro around 10 or 11 in the morning until 12 midnight. Also the kids loved them and they loved the kids.During the day the girls had all sorts of things going on, darts watergames,poolside quiz,they even dressed up one day as superstars, water-polo and the had football on in the afternoon. It was so funny the girls had a dance which they did every evening, i managed to escape doing it although my fiance always seemed to have been pulled onto the dancefloor. some of you who have been will know exactly the song & dance im talking about! " the roof, the roof is on fire.....follow the leader! haha!" top class! It was funny watching everyone do that.
They did a disco at night for the kidsf ollowed by games & bingo ( i dont personally like bingo but this was a laugh) then they had adult entertainment with different shows every night. while we were there they had name that tune,pop stars the Rivals ( the entertainment team did that) pantomime type thing! jugglers, mexican and spanish dancers.and loads more.

we are trying to get booked up for march time to take our little girl erin to the same hotel. We know she would love it. we only hope its the same entertainment team because they really where terrific. So well done Vicky,sexy-lexi! & Mahoney.
The teguisol had everything, you didnt need to leave your apartment, there was a supermarket, a chinese resteraunt, and another two within the place. two pools. tennis courts, play area for children, 2 or 3 poolside bars which all sell nice food and 2 bars at the reception. The beach was also lovely, i think you had to pay something like 4 euros to hire a sunlounger though. We would definitelly go back.

Costa Teguise is a busy resort but not crowded, due to all the hotels being low rise (no more than five floors).

Entertainment is mainly dining out, which is excellent, or the normal run of bars - of which there are many.

You can chose to spend your time on the front overlooking the Atlantic, or in the resort centre where the market square is a busy centre for wining and dining and a small market is held on a Friday night. All the main coach trips have a pick up point in the resort.

It is true that the resort is windy, you either find this pleasant and cooling or too much and annoying, personally we found it pleasant and cooling and were glad of it on most days.

Not a place to come if you want to go clubbing. If you just want to chill out for a week, then you will like it.

The resort overall seemed very clean with loads of shops and restaurants and a variety of different choices of foods. The weather was great... very hot into the 40's I believe.

We didn't go on any of the beaches but they looked lovely and busy. Craig did go fishing off the pier which was a good day out even though we didn't catch many big fish.

There was great entertainment at night with lots of bars and pubs and arcades for the families. Watch out for some of the "happy hours - buy one get one free" more like buy one pay for one and watch out for the looky looky men too!

I would go for Costa Teguise again but not for another couple of years as the resort seemed unfinished and quiet.

We had such a good time there that when we got back we booked to go again next year.

The resort was clean. Nice beaches although they are naturally rocky in areas. Some good snorkelling to be done. Lots of Brits so prices were very high.

The Sol is situated two minutes from shops (but Netto is cheapest), bars and five minutes from the Playa De Las Cucharas beach.

lanzarote is a very nice place to go on holiday it is very hot. The entertainment at night is sooo good! The food is nice and very big! Costa Tegiuse is a nice place to go!

This is one of the best resorts ever. There is plenty to do. You can never get bored

Costa teguise is a lovely little resort and this was our second visit to Lanzarote, myself and my husband like quiet resorts and this fits our needs quiet but with plenty to do and a great selection of bars and restaurants to suit every need.

We particularly recommend the Chinese restaurants for value and taste.

Costa tequise is ideally suited to families and couples who like a relaxing and enjoyable holiday.

The beaches are beautiful very clean and well kept and you even have the bonus of the breeze to keep you cool on those very hot days. Cannot find one fault with Costa Teguise and would recommend the resort we hired a car out at a very reasonable price and we visited a couple of the other resorts in Lanzarote but found Costa Teguise to be the nicest and the cleanest.

Costa Teguise is a beautiful clean place good bars and eating places. Good weather.

One small crib live music ceases at midnight unless it is Spanish owned.

Nice safe sandy beach but lots of electronis shops doing the sales pitch as you pass

The resort was lovely, although we did have a few days of cloud and there was a lot of wind. It is also not as hot here as in the other resorts of Puerto Del Carmen and Playa Blanca. It was clean and tidy with some lovely bars and restaurants.

Popeye's in the shopping centre opposite Los Zocos is worth a visit, very friendly Scottish couple with great food - they also do sandwiches etc to take away to the beach etc.

Of an evening, we went to a different restaurant every night and had some lovely meals, it would be difficult to recommend them all, but Las Curachas Restaurant is also well worth the visit if you like fish. There is a terrace at the back, the staff were lovely and the fish I had was just fabulous.

There is an Irish bar called the Irish Fiddler towards the main area and they have some great live entertainment to sing along to and relax with of an evening.

The beach was clean and tidy, when the tide goes out then to get in the sea you have to go over rocks, but it wasn't really a problem. Great for snorkelling and if you like watersports then the beach next to it was perfect, so there was something for everyone.

The resort, Costa Teguise was extortionate.

The resort had typical holiday values such as booming clubs and bars and classic Spanish shops!

The locals were friendly and enthusiastic and we were never short of things to do with easy access to some other fantastic places!

The water skiing was top dog!

Great restaurants, good value for money, nice people.

Don't expect to buy anything decent. It's either fake (Burberry, Rolex, Gucci) or cheap tacky stuff

Costa teguise is a fairly big resort with plenty to do. There are lots of bars and restaurants, go to the Columbus bar/restaurant behind the cucharas shopping centre the food is nice, prices reasonable and the staff are very nice.

Go to the little beach just behind the big occidental hotel for great snorkelling saw lots of fish. We tried the mini bowling which was great fun and the sports bar just along from it is nice with huge portions!

The beach was very clean although you have to pay for your sun beds. Try the trampoline thing on the bungee ropes it is great fun 5 euros for 7 minutes. Overall this is the best holiday we have had in a very long time!

This resort is very pleasant our hotel was near the bus stop and the buses run every 20/30 minutes there are plenty of bars and restaurants and some shops selling the usual souvenirs as well as electrical items. The beach was nice with plenty of sun loungers. Beware when booking excursions as you can often get them cheaper by booking outside of the hotel as we found out too late.

Costa teguise is a great family resort ideal for kids we tended to go to the smaller Jabillio beach which is well sheltered with shallow waters with hundreds of fish in.


There a lots of different resturants there from Chinese, Indian, Mexican, and great steak grills there.

We could not fault Teguise in any way.

The resort itself was always kept fairly clean, except for the odd bit of rubbish here and there. The entertainment for the kids could have been slightly better, but saying that there were quite a few restaurants and amusements to keep you happy. Everything is within walking distance.

Costa Tegiuse was clean enough, loads of bins everywhere. There seemed to be any entertainment that you were looking for British, Irish and Scottish pubs too. Internet cafes and amusement arcades. The beach was cleaned every day and was sandy. Loads of little shops selling the usual tourist stuff.

We loved the friendly safe enviroment of this resort, It had
everything we like on hand, good beaches, great restaurants, fabulous for families.

The resort is a good size with plenty of bars and restaurants all serving a wide variety of foods. The beaches are lovely sand and interesting. They are safe for children and good for swimming/snorkelling.
Would come back to this resort as it is cental to the island and there is plenty to go and see if you hire a car.

The resort was clean and the beach was lovely and near to the hotel the only problem was there was not a great deal for younger people to do.

We went on a boat trip on the Blue Delphin which was really good but the Aqua park nearby looked like a building site and only had a few things to go on it also seemed very expesive so we didn't go.

We go on holiday to relax and have a few trips out which we did if you like sightseeing there was a bit more to do.

Costa Teguise has everything that to offer a family either in self catering. half board or full board. Entertainment for all ages and choices readily available, with most atractions centered around Teguise Playa and the more central areas of the resort.

The staff at most places are very friendly and helpful, with a discreet police and Gardia Civil presence there is very little rowdiness after the bars and the three main night clubs close.

At first sight Lanzarote looks bleak and featureless, I can only paraphrase the saying "Look stranger and behold".

This is a great resort for families, the beach would be nice if bigger, we loved it here and can't wait to return.
It is so clean and friendly, and has enough to do if you want a quiet family holiday.

The resort of Costa Teguise was lovely. The beaches were lovely and there were many places of interest to visit. A very clean resort and an overall excellent choice of holiday.

We hired a car for the week as most of the trips were quite expensive, most attractions was only 8 euros when you got there so it worked out cheaper for us to hire the car. the water park was the most expensive 21euros for adults 15euros for kids over 12,the water was cold at first but like getting into any water its cold at first but you get used to it the kids loved it there even though it was expensive. Would definately go again.

The resort is clean and family friendly the nightlife tends to die about 11.30 ,the beaches are corse sand and the sunbeds cost 6 euros for two people,the resort itself is split into two sections about ten minutes walk apart and both are o.k. I certainly will visit this resort again but one other thing its allways warm but sometimes the breeze becomes quite strong and at night when the sun as gone it can be a little chilly.

The resort was always kept clean at all times. The entertainment was really good. There was always a club for the children to go to that would keep them entertained. The beach was lovely and clean. Water was fantastic. I would be visiting again in January with my friends.

Very good what little we saw. Market trip on a sunday is really good, but beware if you have got little ones, not much shade and alot of walking.

As we went self catering, there was a lovely palce to eat just as you come out of the apartments called The Britz. it serves food and drink all day, staff (from England) really nice and helpful. There were a lot of places to eat nearby including a Chinese called the Slow Boat and the Shanghai. These were both lovely everybody will tell you to go to the Slow Boat if you want a lovely dinner.

Me and my sister (both aged 17) thought it was absolutely brill that we came home for a week and then booked it the week after for a week. it was fantastic. good places to go:

These were all fantastic. definitely going back in March for a week and then Jul/Aug for 2 weeks. Absolutely brill!!! Definitely reccommend it to anybody with small children. Suitable for people of all ages

The resort was very clean we didn't see any creepy crawlies all week!!

Although out of season it does seem to be very quiet.

Resort cleanliness was really good.

The entertainment could not be faulted.
We didn't see the beach but the trip to Fuertaventura beach was great.

The resort of Costa Teguise is fabulous and so laid back.

You must try the Irish breakfast in the Irish Bailey or a meal in the Cutty Sark - fantastic meals and choice.

Footy fans head for Paradise football have a drink and watch your team or 3 other games live on a Saturday.

There is a bit of litter around but you expect that anyway but all in all a great resort with plenty to do for the young and old you will enjoy Costa Teguise.

The pavements on the pedestrian area were very clean. Although we didn't visit beach much, it was lovely. A good choice of reasonable restaurants.

The resort was the best part of the holiday all the pubs we went into was great! kareoke every night happy hour every hour!i sugest you go here if your looking for fun with the family

Lovely resort, beautiful sea views nice beach's lots of work gone into landscaping promanade areas using natural volcanic rock.

Loads of shops, pubs,eateries in fact every thing you need for a great holiday.

Costa teguise is small, there are not many shops, which our partners were very glad about as we are shopaholics!

They do have a small market on a Friday evening in one of the commercial centres but would recommend a visit to the market at Teguise on a Sunday it's huge, and we got some great bargains at the end of the day just before they closed.

There is a good selection of bars and restaurants along the promenade, very nice sitting drinking sangria overlooking the sea.

Not really the place if you are a bit of a clubber, it had quite a sedate feeling about it.

There's a water park just outside the resort although we didn't go there we heard some good reports about it.

The beaches were lovely and clean, you could walk for miles along the sea front in both directions.

e would go back to Lanzarote, but maybe to the livelier resort of Playa del Carmen next time.

Teguise town is lovely.

Look for lively places if you want or go for the family option like us, lots of different pubs & restaurants to choose from with ranging prices.

Beach was lovely & clean, we visited it most days.

The town itself is pretty spread out but we like to walk around a lot and so saw a lot of lovely little shops and bars that we might not of found.

One tip if you are self catering - find Nettos!!! It's brilliant and very good prices!

Restaurants are generally very good and reasonably priced.

Entertainment is fine, but not much variety. Beach was clean, but overcrowded. There are too many hotels and apartments in the resort for such a small beach.

We would not visit again because we like to visit different places, but we would recommend the resort.

Costa Teguise is lovely, both in the layout and the people themselves. We ate beautiful meals in many pleaces, the British Carvery needs a special mention though, Jim & Co were amazing, especially on my birthday, providing a special personalised cake!

Shops were plentiful and there was a good selection, the resort was fairly flat and easy to get around. The beach was lovely if not for a fair few discarded cigarettes, needs a bit of a good brushing down but that's just something that needs suggesting.

A lack of good public toilets made it awkward also, meaning a trek back from the beach to the apartments if you needed to spend a penny or two.

African salesmen were about but never intrusive and always took no thanks with good heart and wished you a good day, not overbearing at all.

Hopefully going back as soon as possible, which shows what we think to the place!

Good small resort with clean streets, small and large beaches and a small selection of shops.

Did not spend much time in the resort itself, although beach and streets very clean but sea areas rocky. Plenty of bars and shops and a nice promenade when you get away from the main centre. Promenade pavement horrendous if you are pushing a buggy, but okay towards the north end.

Plenty of different bars and restaurants although very quiet when we were there.
Some parts of the area look a little run down with closed up buildings/shops/bars.
Lots of different beaches to choose from - large sands, small coves, rocks, etc.

The resort was excellent, as we were self catering, there were plenty of restaurants to choose from. The beaches were also great, especially the one to the left of the galeon playa - it was massive and also very clean.

Just be wary of the timeshare people that pretend they are friendly but soon they try and coax you into going to an "exhibition" in puerto del carmen (they even pay for your taxi. We got caught one day and we were told that we had won the star prize and that we had to go to this exhibition to claim the prize. We got in the taxi and went to this place. We soon realised that it was a time share and we made our excuses and left (they even gave us the 15 Euros for the taxi fare back) hence we spent the rest of the day in puerto del carmen courtesy of ILG I think they were called.

Overall, it was great to get away and sit on a beach 5 weeks before christmas and would definateley go back.

There are many bars and restaraunts in CT, they vary in their styles and standards, you will find whatever you sort of food you fancy. We loved the Sports Cafe and Mandy the owner there makes you very welcome!! (hiya Mandy!!) Nearly all of the bars show British football and have all sorts of entertainment that you could think of.

The beach was relatively good and close to the Galleon, there are some rocky areas but on the whole the beach was good. Lots of rock pools for the young at heart to get a fishing net to go hunting!!

This was my childrens first foreign holiday, they loved it and we are looking to return to this hotel in the very near future.

If you want to have a rave then perhaps go to Puerto Del Carmen Costa Teguise has plenty of night life but more of a relaxed theme. Eating out is this resorts main attraction followed by the excellent beaches not to mention the

The entertainment in Lanzarote is really really quiet on a night, sometimes too quiet, on the other hand juring the day its really loud. The beaches are really nice 100m away from the Galeon |Playa is the nices beach the only downfall is that its got loads and loads of dead locusts. The sea is really clean with lots of fish, be careful though its really rocky!!!!

The resort of Costa Teguise is fantastic I would certainly visit the resort again. There is everything you may need there is a few little supermarkets and shops bars everything that you may need.

I recommend the resort to anyone.

Resort was clean the entertainment in Costa Teguise was terrible not much there. The beach was nice but not very big not the one by the Ficus. Anyway I wouldn't go again not enough going on but nice holiday

Costa Teguise was quite quiet when we were there. There are enough shops to keep you going, but if the weather is not too good not much to do. Notice a big change since they are now using the Euro. Lots of nice restaurants and the people were friendly. Would not go back to this resort too windy and the beach too small.

Costa Teguise is a great place to stay with a young family.

There are pleny of beaches to choose from and a long promendade to walk or cycle along. You can hire great 'family' bikes from a garage near the toilets and diving centre - it took us a while to find them but they were well worth it!

There are masses of restaurants and bars to choose from - including plenty that show football and soaps!! The 'Jug and Platter' in the square also has a bouncy castle which was a big pull for the children.

The restaurants along the beach, past the diving centre and round, tended to be a bit cheaper than by the Galeon Playa.

I really loved the resort, even though the weather was a little blustery at times.....would love to visit in the summer. The beach looked really nice, and lots of rocks to climb and explore.

There were plenty of restaurants, bars etc, but nicely spaced out, so you could have a nice walk around in between. Particularly enjoyed the Italian restaurants, and couldn't fault the food or the service.

Costa Teguise is a lovely resort with just the right mix of bars and restaurants.
There are two main beach areas, one below the promenade just to the front of the Galeon, and another longer stretch further round the prom to the left of the Galeon.
The sea is extremely salty here, and children may complain if they swallow any water - it does taste awful!
The resort is very clean, and by midday was spotless even after the New Year revellry.
You can have as much entertainment as you want.
We had rather early nights as the children are quite young, but you could easily stay out very late if you wanted.
One of the activities that our children really enjoyed was the 'high jumping' - jumping on a trampoline whilst being attached to bungee ropes. Sounds dangerous but was really safe.
All in all one of the best resorts that we have stayed in.
Don't worry about the breeze - it really is nothing to worry about - in fact you will be grateful for it on a hot day.
We are looking forward to visiting Costa Teguise again.

Costa Teguise itself was a pretty resort with plenty of bars and restaurants. The majority of the staff in the resort were helpful although there were plenty of "looky, looky" salesman. The guiness however in the Irish bars was better than that sold in England!

This resort was very clean and tidy the people were very friendly apart from the men in the camera shops who made you feel afraid to carry your video and digital camera's whilst walking around.

Went to the Tegise Occidental at night time, there entertainment was fantastic. Great bars and the beaches were beautiful. Couldn't of asked for better weather. definitely go again

It is not hilly so we found it very easy to cope! Apart from some high pavements trying to get off them at night was sometimes a bit tricky but other than that I would advise it!

It is sometimes really quite windy but usually its just a nice breeze. The nights are cool, which I found good as usually my youngest cant get to sleep for the heat in some other countries !! GREAT !! :)

You can catch a courtesy bus 4 times a day from the Tabaiba to the resort centre. We normally got on the 6.35 bus into town with a taxi back costing 2.5 euros - not bad.

The centre was quite lively, surprising for early Jan, we visited Saxo's bar for Karaoke which was a laugh - happy hour between 8pm and 9pm.

A good chippy next door but one and a nice kebab shop just down the road. Indian restaurant next door which was a bit pricey but looked lovely (table cloths - posh!) The chinese restaurants were good value with fixed price 5.60 euros per head for 2 courses but got lots.

Some very nice surf shops with great clothes and shoes. Relaxed atmosphere, good family place. The beaches were fab, clean, sandy with huge waves on some days which the kids love - also lifeguards.

Nice paved promenade for those that like a walk - watch out for the 4 wheeler bikes - which we had great fun on. The supermarkets in town were Netto providing everything you need for self catering. Just felt like a relaxed place.

I'd go back tomorrow - got to be better than grey skies and rain!! Also no high rise buildings and the property is very nice. Weather was lovely.

I normally stay in Puerto del Carmen, but decided on Costa Teguise as it is flat for my mother and aunt to get about.

Right opposite Los Zocos is a small shopping mall through to the promenade and beaches. In the mall is a small bar/cafe called LOS CHARCOS run by Felix, Cora and Don, it is well worth a visit not only for the fabulous breakfast, but the welcome they give you; nothing is too much trouble and they are excellent with children.

The beach was clean and only 6 euro for two sunbeds and umbrella. There is a scattering of tourist shops and a pleasant promenade walk up to the next section of costa teguise. I have to admit that I enjoyed my time there as much as in Puerto del Carmen, which is only a 2 euro bus ride away.

Small walk to local beach which was clean. General resort was nice - loads of restaurants with a choice between more local fare and the odd theme pub.

The italian restaurant was notable by the rudeness of their staff. There is a nice beachside restaurant with amiable staff and great food.

Hiring a car was a good idea with drives round the Lanzarote coast a good idea. There were a few scary moments where oncoming car + precipice with no crash barrier and a comlete lack of awareness about the width of the car combined.

Lanzarote is a beautiful island and I thought that Costa Teguise was a great base to see the island from.

Do go to Timanfaya - its very very surreal.

The resort is clean, and the grounds are well kept. There are plenty of sunbeds, but the pools are very cold, the entertainment is good especially for the kids.

The beach is only 2 minutes away with clean sandy bays, but watch out for the rocks.

There are plenty of bars and restaurants with something to suit evereyone.

And many many shops with a wide varity of goods on sale.

I would go back to the resort as every thing around you is just a short walk away.

Costa teguise is a quiet, tranquill and boring little town but i would recommend and wish i had booked to stay at playa blanca dont stay in puerto del carmen it is very trashey. Best towns were the local villiages untouched by tourism.

Excellent for cleanliness, plenty of entertainment from quizzes to drag shows. Beach safe for kids nice & sandy.

The resort is very clean. The beach pathway which stretches for a few miles makes a nice walk, or jog for the more energetic. The beach nearest to the hotel was disapointing as it is very rocky but a sandy beach can be found up in the main are of Costa Teguise 10 - 15 minutes away. The beaches are also kept very clean.

So much choice of restaurants and bars that you could never eat at them all in one holiday. We found the Spanish bars to be more friendly and cheaper than the selection of English bars in the main area.

No problems with resort, good bus service, plenty of shops, easy access to seafront.

We were ripped off by Thomsons, diabolical standards of cleanliness. Room was filthy, pool freezing. Hotel food poor. Not three star standards.

We are taking this up with a solicitor,to claim some compensation, Thomsons won't admit anything wrong with accomadation.

The resort wasn't very clean so we would'nt visit again never.

Didn't go on the beach as it was so cold, weather was around 75F but freezing as we didnt take jumpers with us, really windy there and I didnt dream of it being that cold.

We like lots going on around us, this resort is nice if you just like a beach holiday, nothing to do in the day. Pretty boring, done lots of excursions, the only one worthwile is rancho texas night time.

Would never visit again. Very dissapointing. Theres a nice restaurant called Via Mayor in resort. I would not go there again. Dont go Lanis or Erics.

Take jumpers, trousers etc. Its cold in January, believe me!!

Our balcony overlooked a small bay but by walking up the main street and turning right at the Galeon Restaurant you come to a large sandy bay.

Along the path to this beach are sitting areas which are little sun traps and give plenty of shelter from the Lanzarote breeze.

The choice of pubs and restaurants is great and all within minutes of the Galeon Playa Apartments. All tastes can be catered for.

There are several supermarkets, one opposite the apartments, so self catering is not a problem if you do not want to eat out. Avoid the cheap 2 euro breakfasts though - cheap but not the best of quality!

Lots of Irish Bars in the resort, some better than others and we can recommend the Shamrock. Another great bar, where you are really made welcome, is the Sunburnt Arms. Staff are friendly and full of fun.

We loved Costa Teguise and will be returning again later in the year.

We didn't really see much of the resort as we only went into town once so it would'nt be fare to rate it.

The resort has not much nightlife for the younger adults, but it was a few years since I last went and there were more features being added whilst we were there, i.e. Aqua splash.

Resort was great, suited whatever you wanted to do if you wanted it quiet or a bit more life it was where.

The resort of Costa Teguise is lovely, lots to see and do. The restaurants were all excellent and we never had a bad meal.

The place was clean and you always felt safe, my mum and dad who are in their 60's went out sometimes till 1am and felt safe to walk anywhere.

Be warned though pack a jacket and trousers and warm clothes for you and your kids as it is freezing a night time outside and in the Hotel!

Resort was pretty but because our hotel (sands beach) was so disappointing we failed to enjoy our holiday at all!

The resort was clean apart from the fact that dog mess doesn't appear to be cleaned up by the owners.

The resort doesn't really have a lot going on but there is a bowling alley and lots of nice places to eat. We did find it quite expensive eating and shopping here though.

The beaches were lovely and everything is kept clean.

I don't know if I would visit here again as for me it was a bit quite but we did enjoy our break. As the island is small we done everything we wanted so no real reason to go back. There are too many other places in the world to see!

Nine years ago we visited Puerto del Carmen and really loved Lanzarote, this time we decided to go to Costa Teguise and loved it even more.

It's a quietish town (not boring) with a lovely bay with plenty of pubs and restaurants all within walking distance. We caught a bus to Puerto del Carmen for a day out and found it be be too busy this time.

A main road goes right along the sea front and it was so busy, the town itself looked very worn and some of the restaurants looked shabby and in need of a lick of paint.

I was so glad we chose Costa Teguise, it was much nicer!

The resort of Costa Teguise was wonderful with lots of fine eating place and lets face it if you stayed in the Punta Jabillo you were going to use them a lot.

The resort was great very clean everything you could want or need was there.

There was live entertainment somewhere everynight. Lots of all kinds of different bars and you could eat anything you wanted from Indian, Chinese, Italian, anything.

I would most definitely go again. In fact we have already booked for later this year.

Since our first visit to Lanzarote in February '03, we are now frequent visitors to this island. Costa Teguise in particular.

A very clean resort with families in mind.

There are numerous bars, restaurants and shops within easy walking distance and some great beaches.

We take our 4th holiday to this resort in March '05.

Although I did not like my hotel the resort had good bars and restaurants.

I wouldn't go back to Costa Teguise only because I don't ever do the same holiday twice.

It is very clean with a wide variety of restaurants. As a family with a teenager I felt that there was not enough to do during the day if the weather was bad (which it was!).

The day trips are good but as the island is so small these can be done in 1 day. A good bar for value is Chispas in the small square (accessible by the side of the Lighthous). Happy hour from 7pm and less than 3 euros for 3 drinks.

We ate at Le Gourmet trattoria (Italian), very nice, Casa Blanca - very good selection of meat, fish dishes and excellent quality, always busy. El Patio next to Chispas in the square was good. For English food and Sunday lunch Cutty Sark was good. Don't go to San Remo - absolutely disgusting!

What a lovely resort, plenty of bars and restaurants, shops with great duty free perfumes available.

It is well compact so you needn't walk miles to find everything.

As the weather was so dissapointing the week we went to Teguise (it rained hard for 3 of the 7 days and was cold on the other days infact I only enjoyed one day of pleasant sunshine.

We didnt do much touring of the attractions. There were a number of restaurants on the seafront which were really nice but that many bars. The beach was very clean and beautiful.

I dont think I would visit this resort again as there is very little to do and see, it seems under developed compared to the other resorts and there were alot of building sites near to where we stayed which were not very picturesque.

Perfect in every way didnt want to come home.

There's a lot of work being done in the resort.

Beaches are very nice (clean) watch out for the fella's selling watches and sunglasses.

Got told there was a lot of time share pests but we never got asked

The resort of Costa Teguise is lovely.

It is the second time we have been, the first time we went to the Teguisol in Costa Teguise which was really nice.

The resort cleanliness was good throughout but when you are told Lanzarote is not prepared for rain they are telling the truth - We had one day where there was heavy showers and half of the island was flooded due to there being no drains. We found our selves walking along sea wall to avoid the huge puddles.

I haven't graded the resort entertainment due to the fact that we did not really see any of it.

The beach standard was ok although very rocky due to the volcanicness of the island.

I wouldn't return to Costa Teguise again but would vist the south of the island.

Costa Teguise is a lovely place to visit

There are numberous bars and resturants and its not too noisy if you have children.

The weather can be a little windy (sometimes very) and it can be hard woek for the kids on the beach.

Just beware of the electrical shops (they aren't always what they seem) your rep will be able to recommend a good one in Purto Del Carman.

Plenty of bars/restaurants shops that all sell the same thing. Bars mainly English same old thing football/ singing act/drag act/ kareoke, and that's every bar.

People very friendly not pushy at all, an all round good holiday but not for us we like a more lively, varied holiday but if you like it quiet then I would recommend Costa Teguise.

The area was very quiet and quite clean, liked the village type of set-up as facilities were not too far apart.

The beaches were compact and tidy.

The restaurants/cafes were of a wide standard.

This resort was fantastic for families with basic needs... by that I mean those who are happy to go to the beach for the day as opposed to explore. There were loads of excursions on offer, but with two young sons (aged 6 & 4) we had everything we needed on our doorstep.

I think we were in the best bit of the resort, which was on the edge, as opposed to the main road. There was a good variety of restaurants and snack bars - all accommodating to families.

I think we'll definitely be going back at the same time next year.

Oh, the weather was great too,and we came back with really good tans, but do take a jacket and a jumper for the evenings.

Paths in bad repair when it rained they held huge pools of water and the only thing to do was wade through.

Mainly pubs and sports bars usual mix of music blaring from the pubs of an evening. Mini golf took a degree in map reading to find, hidden behind a Chinese restaurant.

Beach was fairly clean and improvements were being made whilst we were there, plenty of sunbeds and free space.

Everything is a stone's throw away and there are plenty of restaurants to choose from.

The beaches are clean and the water too. No mosquito bites.

The resort itself was nice and clean but nothing to do if the weather was bad. There is a large selection of restaurants to choose from but not much in the way of evening entertainment.

The beach is clean and tidy and plenty of sunbeds had the weather been kind to us. This beach is great for windsurfers so they had a good time as the weather was breezy and changeable.

I would go back to this resort but to different apartments.

We did try Costa Teguise but didn't venture onto the beach but it did look nice though. Myself and Abbi did a lot of walking and in and out of the many shops on the strip. The bars and restaurants were lovely and there were quite a few Irish bars around which we loved but one was very expensive see if you can guess which one that was.

Costa Teguise is a lovely resort suitable for all age groups.

Beaches very good especially for children, plently of slopes for pushchairs and wheelchairs. Plenty of supermarkets and shops.

Entertainment of every sort with live music, karaoke bars, and also many small quite bars.

Area very flat so suitable for walking around.

Taxi cabs are also very cheap. Costa Teguise is also only a short transfer from the airport.

We went here in December expecting a bit of winter sun. Unfortunately we didn't get much.

Costa Teguise felt dead and there was no atmosphere or anything going on.

The resort was a bit grubby and the usual tacky shops were the norm' here.

When the sun did shine it looked a bit better but there was no getting away from the shabbiness.

The beach looked nice enough but the sea was very rough.

The resort is lovely have been quite a number of times now, and will return again later this year. Very clean and tidy.

For me entertainment was fine.

The beaches are spotless and the sea crystal clear...if a little on the chilly side, but if you want warm sea don't holiday on the Atlantic ocean.

I love this place.

The resort of Teguise is wonderful. It is very clean and has a good selection of bars and restaurants. Vali's is great for cocktails and is on the bottom of the Galleon hotel.

The best club by far is King Arthurs although the drinks are quite expensive at 5E each.

Watch out for Mambos, the only club to serve alcohol after 6am, it is full of shifty Spanish!!

The beaches are fantastic all over Lanzarote, but the beaches at Teguise are the nicest.

We stayed in Costa Teguise . It is quieter than Puerto del Carmen but this is what we wanted. The beaches are small and very clean. You can swim,sunbathe,snorkel and fish if you want to. Resort has plenty of restaurants to choose from and will cover every taste from Chinese to English hotpots. We found that the staff in all the restaurants,bars and shops we went to were always friendly and courteous.

Costa Tequise is perfect thats all I need to say mind you I`m biased as a friend of mine owns a bar The jug and platter.

The beaches are peaceful, the sea great for snorkling in.
As for the restraunts I think I`ve tried over half of them and never found a fault yet.

The resort was brilliant not too busy and enough to do. We went to some lovely restaurants and enjoyed ourselves dancing at some of the bars. The beach was great. Definately would go back.

The resort cleanliness was at a good standard. I travelled for a short break to relax in May 2004 with my mum.(I knew it was quiet as I work for Thomas Cook.)

We visited the beach a couple of times on our stay, it was clean but when it got cloudy was cold.

The resort will only be suitable people who like relaxing as there isn't much to.

The shops and restaurants are limited, but one to recommend would be the Sports bar, good English food and nice people.

Costa Teguise is a pretty, quite quiet resort with some fantastic restaurants. Tapas and T Bone steaks the speciality.

Beaches were clean and safe.

Overall you feel safe walking around late at night.

Very clean with numerous bars, shops and restaurants and great beaches. Can be windy sometimes but kids and adults alike enjoy jumping over the waves.

This is our third visit to Costa Teguise and will be going again next year.

The resort was only good for old people there was only 6 bars and 3 were closing down.

Nice place would love to go back all very clean and great entertainment

Costa Teguise is a pleasant area for a relaxing stay. The roads are not too busy, though there are a number of bars in the area, which may not be to everyones taste.

Most buildings are 2-3 stories at the most (except the Occidental which stands out like a sore thumb against otherwise attractive surroundings).

There are 3 or 4 good beaches between rocky areas along the shoreline with an excellent walkway for pedestrians, cyclists, etc. It has a couple of rises and dips, but is easy usuable by people with mobility problems (which are not too severe). The walkway is situated at the rear of the Punta Jablillo and stretches for a good distance in both ways along the coastline.

Costa Teguise was clean and quiet. Enough shops around only ones I didn't go to were the electrical shops as the staff try their best to get you in and I can't be bothered with that.

One cafe/bar facing Cucharas beach on the far left short changed me which I was mad about as they did it deliberately also they played Will Young songs very loud and be careful of ordering chilli in this place as it was disgusting.

I would go back to Costa Teguise again

We love Costa Teguise, we have visited it 6 times now and have watched it grow, although we hope it does not grow too much as this would spoil it's charm.

We know it would not be to everyone's taste as it can be quiet, however this is what we like. We chose to go self-catering this year in order that we could sample the many new restaurants that have sprung up and were not diappointed, except perhaps the large Lani's which we thought looked beautiful but I'm afraid in our experience this was only skin deep.

The staff were not great and the food was mediocre. The beaches are lovely, although it is a windy resort more suited to wind surfing and the likes. The entertainment for us is to sit in the square and have a drink in one of the bars and people watch. There is a market on a Friday night in the square which is also very interesting. Hire a car and see the rest of the Island it is truly a paradise - we certainly love it anyway and will soon return.

The resort itself is clean and tidy and I also think that to see the best beaches you need to walk for a while but its worth it because they have got a small lagoon type of beach, just past the Occidental hotel its ideal for snorkelling and for kids to swim and its really pretty too.

It is also well worth catching the local buses to see other parts of Lanzarote and its really cheap as well we caught a bus to Arrecife and it cost 1.90E for us both.

Costa Teguise is generally a nice clean quiet resort, but is now beginning to look a little tarnished around the edges as more and more facilities seem to be closing down or going up for sale.

My wife and I particularily enjoy eating out, and certainly C/T has many good and varied eateries. However to get best value, not just in C/T but anywhere else it's best to hire a car and tour the island at leisure.

We will be going back in November and it will be interesting to see what if any changes have been made. At the time extensive work was being done improving the gardens around Las Cucharas, and this beach area is now beginning to look quite pretty.

Costa Teguise is very nice for couples and families. Not far to travel from airport, only 15 mins by coach. Is known for being windy.

Very good will go back next year.

Costa Teguise is fairly large tourist resort which really has something for everyone entertainment wise.

The beaches are long, wide and very clean. There is a windsurfing school on the walkway at the beach and also the Calypso diving school which offer either one or two day scuba diving courses.

In the little square behind Las Cucharas shopping centre there are these trampolines with bungee ropes and they are great fun for all the family!

If you follow the beach round towards the huge Occidental hotel, you come across more restaurants and there is also an arcade with loads of games etc. and a mini bowling alley which is great fun. It also has several pool tables, an air hockey table, table tennis and internet access. Next door to that there is a karaoke bar which is a good laugh!

There is a little cove bit in front of the Teguise Playa (occidental) which is a bit more sheltered and is fantastic for snorkelling.

There is a fantastic range of restaurants to suit every taste. In the little square behind the shopping centre there is a bar called the Columbus and the food is nice, entertainment is top class ad the staff are very friendly. They also do brilliant cocktails and even a fruity one for the kids which is delicious! I wouldn't recommend the Chinese in that square as it looked really dirty. Lanis is good and also there is an Italian restaurant underneath the bowling alley which does really nice food. The sports bar just along from the bowling alley upstairs has nice food, they serve the HUGEST mixed grills we have ever seen!! and the owner is a really nice Liverpudlian guy.

Down the hill you pass a tiny sports bar which do nice baked potatoes and stuff for a light lunch. We can't remember a lot of the restaurants names but we really didn't have one bad meal in the whole fortnight we were there. There is a circle bar/cafe thing just off the beach a wee bit along from the shopping centre and they do carry out roast chickens and pizzas etc. which were lovely.

Costa Teguise is a small and very quiet resort. Not much shops. Weather was warm but very windy.

The resort was very clean throughout. We didnt even come across any of the flying beetle things! The resort was very quiet given the early season and was a bit breezy which we knew was expected.
Although we never bathed on the beach we walked past and it was all golden sands and looked very clean.
We would definately return to the resort and would hope for the same type of weather!!

We have visited this resort on many occasions spanning over eighteen years and unfortunately this time feel that the area was run down, neglected and unloved.

Tacky bars lined every street no traditional feel, disappointing.

This is the place for you if you like wall to wall televised football. A mini Blackpool in the sun
the beaches still remain clean and tended for.

The resort could be doing with a tidy up as it is a bit run down. The entertainment is good in the town our favorite the scoth and rye pub good live music and good beer.

I would not rush back to Lanzarote as it is to windy for a start and Gran Canaria and tenirife are much better places to go.

Costa Teguise is a clean, relatively quiet place which is excellent for a nice relaxing holiday. There are several beaches (we recommend Playa Bastian which is the closest to Tabaiba Center) all very clean with white sand and tropical looking sea. Wind surfing lessons can be arranged through a few of the shops on the promenade, and from the fun the pupils were having it looked well worth it!Lanzarote is well known for being windy, but this is quite nice when the temperatures rise.
If you're looking for a lively nightlife then Puerta del Carmen is not far away.

The resort had a beach around the corner which took about 30 seconds to get to,nice weather and it is fun.

The resort was kept clean and tidy.

Didn't really see much with us been all inclusive, there was no need to go out.

Cracking little tex mex restaurant by the diving school, really good service and comp honey rum after your meal.

Great place for families.

We did not really get out that much as we tended to stay by the pool by day, but the bits we did see seemed good to us.

However, as it was not peak season there were not as many bars open as they would normally be. The beach was great although it was very windy. It was very clean we did not see much rubbish on the floor.

As I have said we stayed in Costa Teguise a fantastic friendly resort suitable for all types of people.

We spent most of our time in 3 places being the Sports bar for excellent english food and of course sky sports for crucial football matches that no english footie fan could miss ! Paradise was next in line a few games of pool and darts and lots of fun and laughs drinking at the bar with our photos being taken for the gallery on the wall ! Best of all has to be SAXOS this is a fantastic place for all the family we loved it here , the staff were amazing here they were such good sports joining in all the kareokes and making us feel like we were right at home.

If you only go to one place in Teguise make it this one you will love it, Brian and your crew we luv ya ! x

Costa Teguise is a purpose built resort. Its much quieter than Puerto del Carmen, and does not have that many shops.

The restaurants were good, and all catered for children and babies with provision of kids meals and highchairs. Restaurant San Remo was very good for value and quality, but the steaks in any of the restaurants will be quite tough!A Good chinese restaurant was the Shan hai, in the same road as the main supermarket.

The beaches were well kept although we didn't visit them much. It is very windy in Costa Teguise although not sure if its due to the time of year.

The nightclubs were noisy at night, and this could be a problem for some families.

Costa Teguise is quite a small resort with numerous bar and restaurants scattered around. The beach is lovely.

Nightlife centred around the local bars, no discos or anything like that. This suited our party fine.

We had breakfast several times at The Columbus, situated in the main square. Very nice breakfast, indeed. However, we had our evening meal there once, which was a little disappointing.

Overall, a nice quiet, relaxing family resort.

It is a very windy resort and it was cloudy most mornings. The sun did shine on an afternoon but it was very cold on an evening so coats are required this time of year. I didn't think much to the resort it was a bit too British, not enough traditional Spanish restaurants.

I would advise to get a car and travel the island. It is a very family resort and the beaches did look clean.

The beach does get windy and this has a tidal effect which produces some strong waves. If you get a car travel to Puerto del Carmen beach which is great for the kids and it is also a livelier place.

Not much to do in the way of activities- but a lovely beach and a few nice bars to eat in, in the evening.

One good place we went to every night was Cactus Jacks, just round the corner from our apartment. 2 happy hours every night- one 8-9 and one 12-1am. entertainment everynight followed by karaeoke every night.

Bar staff are very friendly and serve good food at very resonable prices. Nice little bar next to the supermarket called Ferrari's- this was a great place to go if you were missing your soaps on holiday- (Emmerdale,Corrie,Eastenders).

If you are going self catering cheapest places to go are Nettos's-as the local supermarkets are pretty dear. If your looking to hire a car the cheapest place would probably be 'plus car' which is down at the local supermarket.

The chinese across the road from Cactus Jacks serves very nice food too. If you are looking to visit tourist places, we found it cheaper hiring a car,buying a map and driving there ourselves as it only cost a couple of euro's each to get into most places.

The resort was spotlessly clean. We were warned by our rep to be careful when purchasing electrical goods in resort because of historial problems and the staff of these shops often tried to encourage you in. However, a polite no thank-you was all that was required. The sandy beach was reasonably clean, good location, with bars and shops nearby. It was reasonably quiet entertainment wise, but that suited us, a quite drink in a bar with music. We didn't try to find anything more lively.

Having been here year after year I would go back no problems.

Simply the Best.

Costa Teguise was impressively clean, don't know if it was just because it was start of the season, but we were really impressed. Bars were fairly quiet, again, start of season.

The resort of Costa Teguise was very nice plenty of places to eat an drink would not of minded a few Spanish places though, traditional Spanish food would be nice.

The beaches were exellent I would definitly visit again.

The resort was beautiful, well kept, and friendly. It had alot of different shops, places to eat/drink, pubs, clubs, and bars. It had an excellent night life and there was places for all ages. The beach was lovely and the sea water was clean, warm, and blue. There was all sorts of different fish when I went snorkeling. I will visit here again!
