The bar (situated 1 level below reception) was used quite a lot during the day but during the evening/night times it was deserted. This is probably because the appartments are about 15 minutes walk from the Strip in one direction and the Old Town in the other. There was entertainment on only once during our stay hence a rating of 2. This doesnt reflect on the quality of the duo, merely the quantity.
Rooms at the front of the hotel can be very noisy because of the busy roundabout (the watches roundabout) which is just yards from the front door! The noise levels meant we didn't use the balcony very much. At the other side of the hotel, where the rooms overlook the pool it was very quiet.
Our room was very clean and well serviced by the maids. An iron and ironing board were provided. There was always plenty of hot water.
The pools were always very clean, there were plenty of sunbeds available and quite a few umbrellas.
About 4 minutes walk away is a very large supermarket. |

| said: Our opinion on the Alagoamar was as above. It was our first time in an apartment and we were impressed. It was worth paying the supplement to have a separate bedroom.
The position was excellent as it was about 20mins walk to the Strip and to the Old Town. We had a room over the pool and it was not noisy at all.
The supermarket was very good.
The entertainment was not very good but mainly because it wasnt well supported. We went into the next door appartments and theirs was much better. |
