| said: I cannot fault this hotel or the staff. We have just returned from a 3 night short break and we really enjoyed it.
The rooms were great, clean and had everything you needed. Pool towels were a great bonus.
The staff were very helpful and friendly. I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a good quality hotel.

The Portuguese even stayed there so it must be good ! The staff are very friendly, helpful, polite and hard working, the facilities are fantastic. I would recommend upgrading to a Sea View room as the panoramic sea/cove view is amazing, see pictures from our balcony.
We had a large balcony and a pristine room. The only negatives if you can call it that was, the rooms, have older charm if you want the modern look this is not the hotel for you, however we loved it.
The hotel food was ok but Cavoeiro itself has some fantastic restaurants within walking distance hidden away in every nook and cranny.
The only thing that slightly made us laugh were the seagulls, lively buggers (not cheeky but had a few words to say every now and again!). You can even adopt one as part of the environmental programme which the hotel runs, after a while the sound just blended in with the sea !
The hotel has an excellent children's programme, keeping them entertained with swimming pool activities and in the hottest part of the day other indoor/shaded activities like table tennis & archery.
For us more mature people 18yrs + they have scuba diving, tennis, squash & a games room all on site and golf can be organised at a local excellent 18 hole golf course.
Other facilities in the hotel include indoor swimming pool, 2 restaurants, 2 snack bars, spa/beauty rooms, diving school & a football pitch, how could anyone get bored.
The hotel is located on the edge of Carvoeiro, the town square is about a 10 min walk down a slight hill, and 15 mins back up it or 5 euro in a taxi if you get lazy.

| said: Overpriced 4 star hotel in urgent need of modernisation and improved customer care.
Poor standard of rooms - many overlooking service areas - noisey air conditioning in bedrooms - or open patio doors and endure barking dogs all night.
Breakfast and many evening meals in underground restaurant.
Hotel caters for Golfers and coach parties not couples.
AVOID.

| said: This hotel is very expensive for what it is.
Very clean hotel, average food - snotty waiters who won't let you wear shorts if you are English, but let the French and Germans wear them.
Location was great, lovely cliff top views from the pool.
Then the mother of all loud silly females call aquarobics take place at 11 and you need ear plugs, the rep who does it is a loud, loud, half witted female who shouts " comon 123" for the next hour.
I say that you could do better for £700 for a 2 week stay .
