| said: We arrived at the Lobos Bahia 10pm Saturday evening (first week in April) and was greeted by a friendly cockroach! However, thankfully this was the only one we saw. We had a ground floor apartment at the end of block N just along from the main pool, the apartment was clean, had the basics you need for a self catering holiday, the bedroom and bathroom facilities were good and the maid service was also good. The complex is large, and some of the apartment blocks are located to the rear of the complex, with not so nice views, so it may be worth requesting a pool view.
The main pool was huge, a little cold, and we never had to reserve a sunbed, plenty to go around. There is also a "quiet" pool that had more comfortable sunbeds, but this was used mainly by adults.
The complex is in a good position at the top of "the strip", only a few minutes away from the main area of the resort where there are lots of restaurant choices.
There is also a supermarket on site, but if you walk a few minutes down the road there is a much bigger Netto, and cheaper too!
We didn't eat on the complex and there were mixed reports of what the food was like from those who did. There was an entertainment team who offered the usual games/competitions. I would go back to the Lobos, but would want a pool view again.

| said: Arrived at the hotel lobas bahia on the 26th of april 2008, on arrival staff and rep were really helpful.
Room was very clean and tidy through out the holiday, few ants by the sink cleaner got ant spray straight away and they never returned.
Loads to do bars, clubs, restaurants, and best of all the weather and the beach.
Me and my partner went for a week, whilst we were there we went on a few excursions including the oasis park which entailed a camel safari.
Also went on the catamaran boat journey free food & drink.
The water park was amazing too.
We are booking to revisit the same resort again, take no notice of the negative reviews.
Excellent overall!

| said: Hi, Just returned today (6th Oct) from a 2 week stay at Lobos Bahia, Staff very friendly and helpful, I couldnt agree more with the person below who said about the cleaners and a ''Quick'' mop around, I also cleaned our apartment each day, On the odd time I didnt it was quite funny cause she would even sweep Around our shoes and the dust would stay there until I did it, ha ha... Bar near pool, staff very friendly and service always with a smile, we got quite friendly with a little chap, hotel location is very good, a short walk to harbour etc... very hot it was always in the 40's while we were there. Brilliant place is corralejo and planning to go again next year- But not to stay here!!

| said: This was our 4th visit and probably the last as Lobos Bahia isn't what it used to be. The apartment was not very clean on our arrival. The fridge was stained and mouldy and full of water. The bath was badly damaged and there were ants all around the taps and the bathroom floor. The cleaners were in and out in a flash, just making the beds and doing a quick mop up - if you were present at the time. When you weren't any sand/dust etc would still be there untouched when you returned. I used to sweep the apartment myself each morning only to come back from the beach and find someone else's dust and hair on my floor!! We had an apartment overlooking what used to be known as the relaxing pool. Only managed to get a sun lounger once as these were reserved well before 9am each morning by ... my fellow English holidaymakers!!! Lobos Bahia used to have a "no reserving" rule and would confiscate towels if beds were not in use but they didn't seem bothered this year. It was annoying to see so many reserved sun loungers not in use until the afternoon. As an early riser I could have reserved a sun lounger each morning but that would have made me look as sad as all the rest!!

No air conditioning and myself and 6 year old eaten alive with mosquitos in bedroom.
Main entrance to hotel looked lovely until you went out to the blocks of apartments. Badly needs re painted and pool area covered with broken tiles which where dangerous for kids, even in the pools lots of broken tiles.
When we booked this holiday we were told this accomodation was 4star. I wouldn't even give it a 2 star.

At top end of town ideal position, very quiet but near to supermarkets, shops restaurants etc.
Good supermarket on site but no launderette.
Pools huge but biggest one was cold, kids end was excellent and heated as was other pool.
Entertainment all day and evening if you wanted it and staff very enthusiastic to ensure you had a good time without being pushy.
Kids play are and clubs were very good, crazy golf and tennis courts bike hire. Everything you needed.
Excellent complex.

| said: We had an apartment on the ground floor poolside view, block l.
If we had not been so lucky to get a poolside view I feel I would have been totally depressed for the week, as when I went for a walk round I noticed that apartments behind had a view of the back of another apartment, they were dark and deserted and had a very woody outlook.
We had our towels and sheets changed twice in the week we stayed. No cleaners on a Sunday.
Basic cleaning :- floors mopped and brushed, bins emptied , and out. Not even a surface wiped down.
Toaster broke, had to hold down the button so it would work, then it only toasted one side, reported I had no tin opener!- still waiting for it! Reported the phone not working in room so couldn't phone reception to report anything. Still waiting!
Television was at a cost of 4 euros a day or 21 euros for the week. I thought this was diabolical. We had rain soon as we arrived, so paid the 4 euros, had about 8 English channels which were either sport, news or 2 cartoon channels. I thought it would be for a day (24 hrs), I paid at 18.30hrs and the TV went off at 12.00 hrs next day. So be warned the day rate is from 1200hrs - 1200hrs.
The pool is salt water, so is very cold but soon warms up after a couple of seconds of being in. the sun loungers were filthy and some were broke. Tiles broken at the side of the pool, observed one child climbing out of the pool and slicing the front of her foot. Pool attendants cleaning pool every morning, scooping out a number of the said broken tiles.
Found entertainment at night very poor, just for kids. Could have had more for adults: - live music or comedy acts. Had to go out every night to be entertained

Food at the poolside bar was adequate and prices average. The apartments were at the top of the main street, only a 5 minute walk to first set of bars/restaurants, approximately 15 minute stroll to beach.
There was entertainment on for families in the evenings. The entertainment team seemed to really look after the kids with poolside entertainment.
We would go back to these apartments again although a more central location would suit the less mobile.

| said: We were in block L by the main pool.We had the sun until 3.30pm.
Yes the rooms are basic, but clean and tidy. The kitchen facilities were adequate for our purpose.
The whole complex is clean and well cared for,and will be more complete when the numerous new shop units are let.The tv payment is unusual but,we had 2 days continuous rain.We found it was worth the payment,it kept us out of the bars for 3 nights ,so it more than paid for itself.
The local bus runs along the back of the complex, this is cheap and reliable. We visited the capital with its new shopping centre.
We also visited El Cotillo a quaint old fishing village.Which is about to be ruined by the building of a couple of large hotels. As a consequence of which all old buildings are being ripped apart and modernised. Flaming tourists.
Favourite bar The corner house ,Very friendly staff. Favourite restaurant The Waikiki brilliant steak.
Yes I would go back.

| said: Firstly you wouldn't know this hotel was there as there are no signs saying its the Lobos Bahia.
In the brochure it says it is a 4 star hotel....no-way,3 star at the very best.
You have to pay for your t.v.(3 euros a day for a week or 4 euros a day separately).
The rooms are so so basic, the kitchen is equipped with a toaster,2 electric rings, and a fridge, also a kettle which wasn't there when we arrived.
The area is not bad but after 3 days you have seen everything you need to see.
The beach is mostly windy and looks untidy.
3 days before we were due to fly out we got a phone call saying the pool has been emptied due to filter trouble. No other place was offered but we were more or less told tough!!!!!
The good points to this holiday was the weather. Most days it was in the 20s and the evenings remaind mild, we didn't expect it to be this nice in January! Put it this way ,it is not the worst holiday weve been on
we made the most of it but would not be returning.
They do say you get what you pay for and luckly for us we only paid £570 for this holiday so we were not expecting much.just glad we didn't pay more as I would have felt like Id been ripped off!
Most people that like this hotel have probably stayed in the blocks surrounding the swimming pool, these did look quite nice.

| said: Ok, so here we go, this is my second year at the Lobos Bahia, my family and I went last year, we were supposed to be in the Bristol Playa, but got changed at the last min, which did me a favour.
I never book through a travel agent, (with the exception of last year) I don’t see why greedy travel firms should rip me off I can save 50% and do it myself.
Travel agents wanted £4800 for a family of 5 for 2 weeks, I booked with the hotel direct, and got two ground floor adjoining rooms with interconnecting doorway for €50 per room per night = £956.00 flights for 5 cost me £1350.00, that’s £2306, as you can see that’s some saving before really don anything.
Anyway, the apartment is cleaned on a daily basis, the cleaners are quick and efficient, the whole complex is cleaned each morning, and everything is hosed down.
There are 2 big pools on site, both of which are salt water pools so will feel very cold when you first get in, but once in you soon warm up.
Entertainment for the kids through out the day is top notch the animation team tries very hard to please all ages and do the job very well, there is even a kids (very young) section that does drawing and painting
Breakfasts: we did a self catering thing, so we felt that had we have gone half board or more and not wanted to eat, we wouldn’t be wasting our money, breakfast costs €6 per adult and €3 per child, it’s a mix of continental and English style, and it’s eat as much as you can, in mind worth it, we eat a lot of breakfast then snack through out the day which leave us just right for our evening meal out on the town.
Don’t fall into the trap that we saw with some English people out there, some turn up expecting everything to be spotless, this is only 3 stars, so when a room is not used for a week or so, you may find where water has dried up around the bath, you’ll get ants, but we just asked reception for a can of spray, this did the trick, just dried the bath down after use and gave it a quick spray. Now some at this point may be thinking, why should I have to do this or put up with this, but think on, you’re in another country, this is a different way of life than most are used to, so try to adapt a little in my opinion.
The hotel staff to my mind was first class, if you treat them like dirt; you know what you’re going to get back. When I turned up at reception on my first night, there was a woman ranting on that she was all inclusive, had just turned up and nothing was open, the lady on reception did explain that it was the staff xmas do that night, so they were trying there best but were running a skeleton staff, yes I know if you pay that much you should get it, but its karma, what goes around comes around, and after that, the hotel staff were on the defensive and were not as willing to help her out. I suffered in my room where the interconnecting door was locked and I had no key, at about 10pm I went to reception asked if they had the key, the looked and looked but could not find it, I told them not to worry, I’ll see them in the morning. The next morning, they knocked my door with the key and a smile, job done, or at least so I thought, we went off to the beach for the day and when we got back there was a massive basket of fruit with a note, “Welcome back, we’re glad to see you again, hope you have lovely stay” nice touch I thought, until I went into the other apartment, they’d don the same in there, very nice touch
We never eat in the hotel for night time meals always went out, so here goes my run down of out and about.
As you walk down the street you’ll soon notice that there are hundreds of places to eat, as a consequence everyone is trying to make a living so you’ll find a person from each eating joint standing outside ready to hassle you into there place for grub, this can get a bit annoying, but I don understand they are only there trying to earn a crust, excuse the pun, but just be polite and say no thanks.
You can eat practically anything, Indian, Chinese, Mexican, Italian, English, you name it’s all there, my opinion is that the Chinese who will charge you an average of €7.50 per adult and €4 per child are ok but nothing to write home about, and I love Chinese food, it’s all buffet style but leaves a little to be desired, most to me at least seems to be just warmed up, it may suit you, but not for me.
I’m the sort of person who likes to try local dishes when I go away, cant see the point in traveling a thousand miles to eat fish and chips, but sure enough we English do. Canarian food does not really exist as such, the closest thing you’ll find is Spanish dishes, and most of them are of the rice and fish variety which again, suits me, but it may not you. Fuerteventura is a volcanic landscape for the most part, there is no green other than the golf courses, no vegetables are grown on the island at all, everything is imported from the Spanish mainland, then down to Gran Canaria then onto Fuerte, as a consequence, prices for food in the shops is expensive compared to home (uk) a tin of beans can cost as much as €1.80, bearing in mind the exchange rate is about 1.60, Bread, €2.80, this is not just for the tourists though this also affects the locals. There are loads of Neto stores around and most tourists use them, only because they don’t know where the locals shop, so head up to the top of town and ask or look for HipoDino, or EuroSpa these are stupidly cheap by comparison.
As for somewhere to eat out which is where I started, head for the harbor, there is great place called La Playita, about 5 feet from the beach, great at night, run by a Morocan chap who goes by the name of Eddy, great bloke, has a few guys working with him, Mohamed and Siad, (most in Fue are of muslim origin), the food in here is not the cheapest in town, but in my experience, you get what you pay for. And after trying everywhere else the first year, I went here near enough every night this year.
In Fuerteventura the car is king, the island is great for driving on, there are no traffic lights except for in the town center in Resario, it’s just islands, you can drive from the most northerly tip in Corrolejo to the southerly in about 1 hour 45 taking it easy, currently petrol is cheap, very cheap, about 60p per litre, and who says we are not over taxed!!
Although Fuerte is a part of the EU (classed as Spanish mainland) it is the only island of the Canaries to be Tax Free when it comes to shopping for gifts, but buyer beware, you are limited to what you can take back, and what may sometimes look like a bargain, actually is not.
I could go on an on, but wont bore you, it’s a good place as a resort and a good apartment, I’ll be going back again in a few weeks.

| said: We have just returned from a two week holiday at Lobos Bahia and had a wonderful time.
The hotel complex is fab - especially for children - the childrens swimming pool was ideal for our 3 1/2 year old and our 1 1/2 year old and they were both happy to spend all day besides the pool. The largest salt water pool was also lovely and you soon got used the the cold temerature of the water!
The cleanliness of the hotel itself was quite good - pools kept fairly clean and reception was spotless.
Our room was a nice size with basic kitchen facilities - we only used it at breakfast time so was adequate for our needs - although if you were wanting to cook a meal you would struggle as only two rings and a toaster. Our room could have been cleaner - in particular the bathroom tiles could have done with a good scrub but we think our cleaner was not as good as the rest as everyone else we spoke with commented on how clean their rooms were.
All in all we really loved the hotel and are definitely planning on staying there again next time we visit Corralejo.

| said: We have just returned from a family holiday at the Lobos Bahia. Firstly I will say that we had a great family holiday and stayed there for two weeks. We were self catering which was just as well as there were masses of restaurants to choose from down the main strip.
The room; We requested ground floor pool view and this is what we got..Couldn't get a better situated room, we were in J Block room 1177. We were at the quiet pool which although was deep allround it was lovely and clean. (other pools seemed to have a lot of debris at the bottom and a bit slimy)
A little disappointed with the kitchen facilities, which was 2 hob rings and a fridge with a tiny storage cupboard that never even held a cereal box!
The bathroom was OK but fag burns on side of bath and typical mold round the edge of bath a little unsightly. A nasty smell would appear through the night/drainage but we found that if we left all the plugs in the sinks and bath, toilet seat down etc then that seemed to help.
There is no air con so we needed to hire a fan which really only helped a little and we were there Sep/Oct..I can only imagine the discomfort if you were there peak season.
Holiday Weather - fantastic 37 C average, came home with a lovely tan although the kids are still white as covered in factor 30 every day.
Reps - the reps are really good and are nearly always available and the kids reps are really good a big shout out to wacky Jackie and crazy cat who were terrific with our kids who had great fun.
All in all we had a great holiday and the things I've mentioned are really just a few niggly details which dont effect how good a holiday you have.
In all it has an official two star rating which I would say is fairy true. next years holiday that we have booked though we have now upgraded to 4 star.
Happy Hols.

| said: The Lobos Bahia apartments were great, the lovely styling of the apartments coupled with the beautiful cacti gardens were a lovely backdrop to our hols. The apartments themselves were spotless and functional, if I were to be picky I could say that maybe a microwave could be added and as there was no air con a fan provided (both could be hired at extra cost).
The pools were tremendous, the main pools being ideal for all and a large quiet pool away from this for those who wanted it.
We took no children but if we did would have been delighted as the ent. staff worked with them nearly all day. they loved it.
The pools are salt water but I thought this was great as the added buoyancy was a plus.
I cannot comment on the food or the entertainment as we used neither though I will say that passing the ent. complex in the evening it was quite noisy as you would expect so if you did not want to hear it then ask for an apartment further up the complex.

When we arrived we were very impressed by the lovely air conditioned reception which was very clean with a lovely water feature and leather furniture. The room was basic but very clean with a maid service 6 days.
The only thing the room lacked was air conditioning. The whole complex was kept lovely and clean,
The pools are the biggest in Corralejo. There is a quite pool and then a pool where they play music. The salt takes a little getting use to. It was very near to Baku Water Park which was an excellent day out and only a few minutes walk into town centre. Have already decided to book for next year.

The supermarket we felt was a bit expensive on the complex, but there are loads of Netto's all over in town.

| said: Just got back from two weeks at the Lobos Bahia. We had a good family holiday and would certainly go back again in the future. The weather in late May was perfect with hardly a cloud seen in two weeks.
The hotel is a little way out of the town centre but is on the main street that leads into the town so is close to many cafes, bars and restaurants. It is about a ten minute walk to the beach from the hotel.
Hotel facilities are good and standards of cleanliness etc. seemed high. We were half-board so ate in the restaurant most days. The food was of reasonably good quality and there was a good choice but we were a little put off by the cafateria style self-service and the fact that food was left out so long that it didn't always look appetising. The Staff, however, were splendid and assisted us with anything we wanted.
The apartments were pretty standard with a small kitchen area and bedroom with twin beds. They were cleaned thoroughly, 6 days a week with regular towel and linen changes. A TV was in the room but had to be paid for at reception. Free TV was available in the bar and they even put the footy on a big screen for any big games.
There is a small supermarket on-site and a number of others on the main road but we did find them all to be a bit more expensive than the Hyper-Dino down in town - especially for beer and wine.
The hotel offered an 'Animation Team' of young Staff to offer activities for all age groups. They were a bit much for our tastes but I do think it is good to have this on offer - there was certainly no need to be bored and they were not too pushy if you wanted just to lie and relax. Our First Choice Children's Reps were fantastic and kept our 5 and 3 year olds entertained for hours on end - thanks Little Jimmy and Sunny Sarah.
The pools were great and were huge though were a little chilly. There is a kiddy pool for toddlers, a big deep pool and a relax pool which tended to be a quieter area.
All in all we had a great time and look forward to returning some day.

On a whole it is very clean although we had to ask for fresh towels & one of our apartments was covered in ants all the time (but you can get that anywhere)
The hotel staff were great most of the time except for the bar during the day (a little bit rude) & I wouldn't advise to eat from the BBQ that they do on one of the days its €12 (not great value) & the food is out in the open with flies all over it!
We would all definitely return & would recommend the Lobas Bahia

The whole of the complex is very clean & tidy.
The pool is excellent, but incredibly cold. The kids didn't really enjoy the pool because of the temperature, but I bet in the summer months when it heats up a bit it will be great.
Reception are great, but I wouldn't advise changing any money in there, as their rate was really poor.
Entertainment was awful! They tried really hard bless them, but it was just bad.
Will go back again!!

| said: A super place to holiday. The location just outside of the main centre but not miles away was quiet but not a huge distance to walk to the beach etc. Very clean, always somebody cleaning away somewhere, and well maintained. Entertainment a bit cheesy, but not any more than is usual in these places.
There is some building work nearby, but it did not cause a lot of disturbance, the work at the front is all but complete. Very nice resturants nearby, make sure you visit the "Corintia" on the beach.
Also, make sure you go to Hiperdinos for your shopping- or pay double the price in the local supermarcado. All in all an excellent place to stay, well done to Lobos Bahia! We will be returning one day!

| said: Just returned from holiday here, we were a bit concerned re reports of building works in the complex and surrounding area, however I can confirm the work within the reception area is now complete and the building work which is ongoing around the complex, although obvious when you leave the complex, do not cause any problems to most sections of the hotel blocks but could be of more concern to those staying in accommodation on the north side nearer the construction work for new apartments.
The swimming pools are great, very large and there is ample loungers for everyone. Entertainment within the hotel is a bit naff but the entertainment staff are very enthusiastic and full of energy.
Plenty of shops, pubs and restuarants in the vicinity. The Rock Cafe just down the road has live music at night and is well worth a visit. Local Netta Supermarket is reasonably priced but the Dino Hypermarket in the old town which is about a 15 minute walk away has a much larger selection of food.

| said: We stayed at the Lobos Bahia for our 4th time. There was quite a bit of work going on to update the complex as well as building works going on behind the complex. This did not affect our holiday whatsoever and there was no real noise or disturbance.
The Lobos Bahia apartments now have all the basics needed for a self catering holiday - kettle, toaster etc and these no longer have to be hired. The bathrooms have all been updated in the apartments and the reception area is now quite large and very nice (although no furniture there yet). The grounds are very well maintained and the pools cleaned regularly. Both the large pools are salt water and unheated but very welcoming in the heat. The children's pool is freshwater so no worries about them getting salt in their eyes.
We are returning at the end of May 2006, with family for our 5th visit and have another 2 weeks booked for October 2006. Very good accommodation for a family holiday.

The maid cleaned every day except Sunday, she sometimes came when we were in the apartment and had no problem being asked to return later.
The entertainment staff I found to be excellent keeping the kids occupied, and the entertainment in the evening was sutible for all ages.
We ate in both restauants during our stay, while the saloon bar menu was basic it suited the children, the restaurant was excellent.
I would certainly return to the Lobos Bahia.

The rooms are spacious and well laid out with all you need for being for you stay. They are cleaned everyday except Sunday. Towels are changed 3 times and bedding 2 times a week.
We went out everynight so didnt try the restaruant or the night time entertaiment. The daytime entertaiment was the usual mini golf ,water polo, table tennis, darts and snooker.the pools are salt water and takes a bit of getting used too . Saying that we did spend a lot of time in the pool to keep cool. There is a lifeguard on dutyfor most of the day.
There is a small onsite shop which as most of the things you need at reasonable prices.
There was some building works still going on as we left but it wasnt intrusive and did not spoil our holiday at all.
We have just booked for next year.

The hotel is situated at the top of the main street and is close to the water park as well.
There is entertainment on during the day for adults, activities like mini golf, darts, water polo and boules. For children they had mini golf, tennis and water games. There is entertainment at night as well with parrot shows, sketch shows and they had a theme night around the pool which involved the ring of fire. The reception is now completed but is not furnished yet, it is huge.

The rooms had no T.V's which was a shame, the only T.V on the complex is in the bar which is in need of a good clean. On the complex the outside bins were full of rubbish and stank and there were cigarette butts everywhere even in the childrens play area which was disgusting.
I would never go to this place again, even the Rep who was lovley admitted it was "shabby". As you walk up the high street it is definately the worst complex.

| said: These apartments are given 4 keys in all the brochures that we looked at.
We have stayed in better 2 key apartments in correlejo ( Playa Park ). The whole place looked shabby and in need of severe updating.
As you walk upto reception the flags are old and in pieces, everything was sunworn. We were told prior to the holiday about the building work going on, so when we were given an apartment in block I, we checked it out first, thankfully.the balcony had a great view of the building site just across the road.
We were given alternative accomodation on block D. The room smelt musty, the tap in the kitchen was wobbly, and there was a huge gap under the door for the wind to blow under, not very nice for the person that had to sleep in the living room.
The maid was not informed we were there, and the room was not cleaned for 2 days, until we complained at reception. Even then the room was never cleaned to the standard we expected.I could write "clean me" in the 2 weeks worth of dust on the telephone and all wooden surfaces at the end of the holiday. The maid and service men enjoyed morning chats at 8.30am most mornings right outside the bedroom window, not a very nice way to be awoken! The maid also seemed to clean ajoining apartments at this time as well, dragging and bumping furniture constantly, the walls must be about 10mm thick, you can hear EVERYTHING! balcony and wardrobe doors were the worst though, running along the runners and banging into place.
Salon Lobos looked dark, smelly and dingy, so we never ventured in. Would we ever go back to lobos Bahia? not even if somebody gave me a free week there. It is in severe need of a facelift, the only nice thing about the accomodation was the reception staff.
Please consider this review if you are thiking of booking for this place, I'm not joking!

Pools absolutely great esp. salt water pool, tho didn't manage to get the hang of the jacuzzi!! Didn't ask anyone either so ..... Second pool was brilliant to relax in after a day on the bike to El Cortillo.
Shop, laundrette and bike hire all used and appreciated having all on site. Didn't get time to avail of tennis court or mini golf - perhaps next time.
Appreciated the presence of security staff and the fact that the main gate is shut at night. Reception staff very friendly.
Did not visit restaurant nor Salon Lobos, but had a drink at pool bar a few nights.
Would return to Lobos Bahia should we be in Fuerteventura in the future,

| said: We stayed for a week in a party of 3 families, all in 1 bed apartments.
The apartments we had were lovely and clean. We all had pool views. One of the apartments had been refurbished and the other two had not. We didn't have a problem with the unfurnished ones. We didn't experience any of the problems mentioned before, lights were fine, and shower we thought was quite good, the chips in the toilet seat were from the lid banging down, which we saw in quite a few restaurants as well, the grouting was fine.
The bedrooms were fine, the pull out bed was fine when we realised it had legs (day 3) but that wasn't a problem for my 12 and 5 year olds.
The kitchen was what we expected, okay if you don't want to cook a Sunday roast. We don't go away to spend time cooking, Mum has a break too.
The staff we cannot fault. They were polite and cheerful.
My family had a problem when we locked the door from inside and then went out through the balcony. The maintenance man came straight away and sorted the problem very quickly, even the pool man helped! Reception were very helpful, the bar staff were great, the lifeguards were really pleasant.
The kid’s club reps were great; they really made our kids feel special. Thank you to Fanny, Isa and Luba. (The kids club is run by the hotel, not First Choice.) They ran the entertainment at night as well and they did really well considering there wasn't many people in the salon.
The complex itself is still undergoing refurbishment and some of it looked a bit sun washed but it's to be expected in that type of climate. We thought it was very well kept.
The smell when the plants are watered is quite strong but it's not done every day all around the complex, just one part each day and the smell fades quite quickly.
There is some building work going on behind the complex at the moment, but even though we were quite near to it, it didn't disturb us at all.
The pools are great. Very deep in places, so you have to watch the kids closely. The kid’s pool is great. The relax pool is warmer than the big pool, but they are both bearable considering the time of year. We didn't have a problem with the salt water at all. The pools are very well maintained, cleaned everyday and tested once a week.
We really enjoyed our stay and would go again.

| said: This was our third time at the Lobos Bahia and we would still go back.
Rooms are cleaned on a daily basis (apart from Sunday) and towels are changed 3 times a week.
The reception staff are friendly and helpful but the poolside bar staff are a bit miserable, but didn't spoil our holiday. Food at the poolside bar is okay for lunchtime snacks but never ate in the restaurant so cannot comment as we ate out every night.
The main pool is one of the largest in the resort and is a bit salty. We never had a problem finding a sunbed. The quiet pool (although not always quiet if there's kids around)is less salty and good if you want to do some serious swimming.
Gardens are well kept and pool areas are cleaned daily.
The pull out bed in the living area does have legs on the bottom so can be raised off the floor.
We always feed the stray cats when we go to the Lobos Bahia but if you don't like them they won't bother you. (I've only ever seen 4 or 5).
These apartments are located at the top of the main street, so are in a good location. The market is just across the road every Monday and Friday.
The organised daytime activities are quite good here & kept our chaps entertained. Didn't think much to the evening entertainment but spent most evenings at bars in the town.

The hotel is in a great place and right at the top of a huge street packed with bars shops and restaurants.
The rooms were spacious and contained one bedroom living and dining area and bathroom. The only down side was that the kitchen area was very small, and considering this was a self-catering holiday this is very strange...
However, the entertainment at night was fab and the staff were very friendly and helpful, very very nice staff.
The daytime in Lobos Bahia was just as good, with there being water games on it the day and activities running through the day for both children and adults, so there was always something to do. The pool was very nice and had several pools which were all clean.
I certainly recommend this hotel as it is great for all ages and different interests...it was great

| said: Well, where do I start. We paid nearly £2K for the three of us self catering for two weeks. Paying a reasonable amount of money one would have thought the accommodation would have been of a reasonable standard.
The bathrooom was filthy, with no enamel on the bath. My 4yr old refused to get into the bath as she thought the black chips, and the black grouting all around the bath was very dirty. The shower must have been installed in the 80's as it was held on by a small hook on the wall, and controlled, by the hot and cold taps!! The was also old soap in the bath left by the previous residents.
The bedroom had several stains down the walls. The light fitting was hanging from the wall. There was big chunks of plaster missing from the wall near the door, as the door would not shut properly, which resulted in having to bang the door, hence the plaster falling off. The kitchen area was adequate but also poorly maintained.
The bed in the kitchen was meant to be a pull out bed, but it was basically a box that slipped under the sofa, which again my daughter refused to sleep on. Plus the fact there was an inch gap under the front door, and anything could have crawled in.
On the 1st day we complained about the state of the bathroom, and we did get a replacement toilet seat, as the previous one had big chips out of it!
The rep was quite helpful, but reassured us that there was no other accommodation in the hotel or on the resort for that matter. At this point we did contemplate moving resort, but the manageress, with the head cleaner arrived looked at the problems and then offered us a refurbished apartment. Which we took.
The bathroom was much better and we were a little more satisfied then we realised that we had no kitchen or patio light. So in darkenss when returning in the evening.
It took the electrician two days to sort out the fault.
There is also no air conditioning, so for the price of 10 euro per week you can hire a pretty noisey ineffective fan!!
The complex itself I feel had been let go. The entrance was once, I assume, nice pine, but the weather had done its best to make it look old and flake away, but 1st impressions count. There was an attempt being made to do some refurbishments, but lord knows how long that will take.
On the plus side the areas surrounding the rooms were quite pleasant with lots of nice flowers and shrubs. There were tennis courts, crazy golf, and sqaush courts.
The pools were lovely, and a good pool for the little ones.
I can't comment on the entertainment, or the food as we ventured out every night.

| said: We were very disappointed with this accommadation. It was very shabby. Our apartment consisted of a dirty bathroom, one bedroom a livingroom with a kitchen and a balcony. There wasn't enough storage room.
There was no aircon and the (dirty) fans had to be rented (10 euro per week.) It worked out that it would have been cheaper to buy one. There was a safe, but again the key (12 euro per week) needed to be rented. There was no television in the apartment either.
Right from the start it was obvious that the hotel/apt was very much for families. All activities were for children and being two adults we felt a little let down.
There were two adult and one childrens pool. Both the adult pools were salt water which took a lot of getting used to.
We were SC and were told by other guests that the food on site was not great. The staff were fairly helpful but the onsite little food store was expensive. There was pool bar which showed sky tv but it closed at 10.30 on the dot.

| said: Myself and my children, aged 12 yrs and 10 yrs, have just spent two weeks at the Lobos Bahia Aparthotel. Our room was situated in Block L which was on the ground floor with a pool view. Some of the rooms in other blocks had been upgraded but our room had not. Whilst it was basic it was of an ample size but more storage space for clothing would have been beneficial. The rooms were cleaned and towels exchanged on an almost daily basis and the sheets were changed every two to three days. The only down side to the accommodation was that a lot of noise could be heard from the other apartments especially from the movement of furniture and women walking in high heels. This was particularly noticeable from the apartments above. If there is excessive noise from an apartment (partying etc), then a phone call to reception would result in a security guard being sent to speak with the residents of that room.
The poolside was very large with plenty of sun beds and was cleaned every day. However, the drawback was that people were reserving their beds from as early as 7.15 am, which meant that in order that I got a parasol I had to be out of the apartment by 8.00 am. As with most accommodations the reserving of beds was not allowed but people did it anyway. On some occasions a female poolside attendant would go round and remove the towels from the beds on which the owners where not present and put them in a big blue box situated in front of the animation/sport centre hut.
The entertainment was held in the Salon Lobos and was quite good with a mini disco for the kids from 8.30 pm till 9.30 pm followed by shows put on either by the entertainment team or outside entertainers.
The childrens club was held from 11.00 am till 1.00 pm and from 3.00 pm till
5.00 pm. My children did not wish to attend, but from what I heard the other children enjoyed it.
The adult daytime activities consisted of water polo, darts, billiards etc
The entertainment team - I must say that the team were excellent all round performers who were multi lingual and so patient and good with the children. They worked very very hard putting on their own shows and with the children who themselves took part in the shows. They managed to accomplish so much in such a short space of time with the children and always managed to entertain us all. Each and every one of them deserve a medal and are a great asset to the Lobos Bahia. I must give a special mention to Fanny whom I thought was particularly talented.

The apartment was rather small and with 4 of us, we did tend to get in each others way.
The staff were solemn at best, and miserable at times and the bar service particularly poor.
The pool looks excellent but it is not freshwater and the mineral content was far higher than the sea!
At the begining of the 2nd week the place did start to improve with maintenance being stepped up but it was too little.
It was probably a very good resort at one time but now appears in decline, maybe it will recover

| said: Me and my partner went to Lobos Bahia in June 2004 on a last minute deal with my 14yr old disabled son.
At first we were really worried about the place and the fact that first choice couldnt guarantee a ground floor apt but when we got there we had been allocated a groundfloor room with minimal adaptions in the bathroom and had an excellent view right by the poolside!
There were ramps everywhere including into the pool! Although some were a little steep it made our holiday easier. (an ablebodied pusher is probably required!)
Our apartment was very clean and towels, sheets etc were changed every 2 days. Around the hotel was clean and tidy too although the crazy golf could do with a fresh coat of paint!
We didnt really try the hotel food as we ate out all the time.
The location was brill, couldnt wish to be any closer to town and shops!
The staff were ok. not overly happy and pleased to see you!
The entertainment in the pool in the afternoon seemed to be good and eveyone who participated seemed to enjoy it but it was the same day in day out. night time was good, excellent "Bob Marley" impersonator.
We went on 2 excursions, the first was the jeep safari.
nothing was too much for the driver who lugged the wheelchair off and on. My son sat in the front seat and was even allowed to steer the jeep for a bit! excellent.
The end was the catamaran which we were told was a totally disabled friendly not quite...took 4 men to lift him in his chair onto the boat ....not much space to move around, spent most of the day sat at the back.
Toiletting was a huge problem....down a very tiny rope ladder to a very confined space!! When you dont walk this is near on impossible so a coca cola bottle had to do!! Apart from that he thoroughly enjoyed himself and even got carried onto the jetski and was taken for a ride. great fun!
Would we go again? yes is the answer to that one. We have booked 2 weeks in 2005 but instead of the last minute bargain @ £535 for 3 of us we are paying well over £1,000! worth every penny though I say!

| said: I looked on this site and was pleased with the reviews, we arrived on the 9th May 2004 with first choice airways, the apartment was spotless when we arrived with everything you would need for basic meals the kettle and toaster had the lead with them so no hiring but you could hire mircowaves etc, there was no air conditioning but this did'nt matter as the temp was just right. The maid service was every day exepect sunday they also clean your patio area every other day if you are on the ground floor. we did'nt try the food onsite but the staff were very good with all of us. the kids club and daytime entertainment was good but the kids evening hour was the same every single night but the kids loved it anyway. (Head shoulders knees and toes!! Arrrrah!). The pools were very nice, the kids pool as some of the other reviews said was clorine and the other 2 pools were salt water, they were very cold but very clean. We would return to the Lobos Bahia Aparthotel again

| said: No complaints about the apartments; they were your average holiday apartment, nothing more, nothing less. Cleaned and linen changed very frequently.
Only problem was that ants kept getting in through the patio door. Reported it and it was dealt with; however the little buggers returned! TBH, it didn't bother us too much - would have been a different story with cockroaches!
Facilites at the Lobos Bahia were very good - lovely pools etc. Food at the snack bar was a bit bland, but what would you expect?
Staff mostly very nice.
Location within Corralejo was reasonable. Whilst there are bars and restaurants (and the very cheap Netto supermarket) on your doorstep, the actual centre of the action is at the other end of the strip approx 15 mins walk away. Not really a problem though.

| said: Myself and my boyfriend travelled to Lobas Bahia last September. We went for two weeks. We throughly enjoyed our holiday.
The apartment are clean but absic. Thaya re cleaned 5-6 times a week. The cleaning ladies were asleep. If you are asleep when they call, they come in the afternoon instead! We staying in blockD which overlooks the pool! Before we went I was told not to Stay in block A as this was at the back of the restaurant and its here where the smell arises.
We had self catering. We ate in the pool bar twice. The food was ok but nothing to write home about!!The food was simple- burgers, chips, pizza etc. We also ate in the Restaurant once. This was buffet, all you can eat, It was a fantastic meal. And very good value. The location of the hotel is excellent, it is at the beginning of the strip. just a short walk from all the shops and bars. The Hotel staff were all very nice, no complaints. We only went down to the evening entertainment once. It was a karoke night and we had fun, but most nights the entertainment area seemed pretty empty, therefore a turnoff! The entertainment seemed mainly for children! I would definatley visit this hotel again. I have reccommend the accomodation to my parents who are travelling there this summer with my two younger brothers.

| said: My boyfriend and I Visited lobos last sep excellent accomodation, fantastic pool, brilliant staff. Accomodation very spacious and cleaned regularly.
Only a 5 min walk to start of main strip where you will find ample bars, shops and restaurants.
Corralejo is brilliant for a relaxing holiday but we found plenty to do. The day trip to lanzarote is well worth the money and the unsettling seasickness!! If u do go on the catamaran I would advise taking seasickness tablets before boarding, or sit on the lower deck as it is not as bad!
Make sure you visit the beach at RIU OLIVIA, only about £2.50 each way in a taxi or there are regular buses which we didnt use, much quicker to use taxi's. Sand is white and the sea crystal clear paradise!
We hired a car for five days a great way to see the island and reasonably cheap.
No more to say except if u are thinking of visitin Lobos, book now it will be the best thing you ever do we cant wait to go back!

| said: These apartments were a pleasure to stay in. They were very clean and spacious and had everything to offer. (only down fall was that you had to hire kettles and toasters from reception for a small charge)
The pool area was vast and very clean. The pool was cleaned everyday by staff and tested thoughout the day. All shops bars etc are a short walk away and a few lovely beaches all within walking distance. There is also a train that runs through the resort if you do want to be lazy or explore the beach further away, which is well worth it as its in a cove and the sea is boiling...LOVELY!!!!
The entertainment at the complex was very good too!! Kept the kids entertained and was good for adults too. They seemed to cater for everyone. This is an excellent choice for couples and families who like everything close at hand and an excellent standard of accomm.

| said: My partner and I booked a one week stay in Corralejo with TV Travel Shop staying at the Lobos Bahia Aparthotel and our operator was First Choice who we had never been with before. We flew from Gatwick and had no problemswith the flights or transfers which went very smoothly and we arrived at Lobos Bahia late afternoon.
Accommodation
The Lobos Bahia Aparthotel is about 5 minutes walk from the town centre and has a market opposite, open Mondays and Fridays. Although there seemed to be a lot of building work going on in Corralejo, we were at a safe enough distance from any disruption and felt really sorry for the people staying at San Valentin as this was virtually opposite a building site!
We had requested a pool view from TV Travel Shop and probably had one of the best rooms as it was right in the centre in Block L overlooking the main pool. There were three pools, all of which were kept incredibly clean by the hotel staff. I was also impressed that there was a ramp going into the main pool for the disabled to use, which is something you don’t see that often when abroad. The gardens surrounding the pool were also maintained well and were clean and tidy throughout our stay.
Our room was basic but clean and although the kitchen facilities were fairly limited (kettles need to be hired, no toaster, etc.) we didn’t plan on doing any cooking anyway. The maid service was 6 times a week and usually called in around 11am.
The reception staff were helpful but the animacion staff were a little annoying, but most of the daytime entertainment seemed to be German/Dutch anyway so the staff mainly picked on them! Lobos Bahia did provide evening entertainment but we only watched one show which was enjoyable. There was also a snack/pool bar but unfortunately our experience with their food and service was pretty awful so we decided to stay well clear. There was a restaurant on site for those staying half board but we never sampled the food from there.
There are loads of friendly cats around the apartments as a warning to anyone who doesn’t like them, but being animal lovers, we welcomed them into our apartment!! If you don’t like them, they won’t bother you as they go wherever the food is.
We did notice the ‘sewerage’ smell at times which wasn’t a problem. There was only one morning I got up at 7am and the smell was so strong I had to shut the lounge doors. I think it could possibly be the sulphur content in the water and not sewerage.
Food
We ate out every night in Corralejo, except for the last night where we got a Chinese takeaway. We didn’t have a single bad meal during the evening but breakfasts were another story! Although I like to try the local food, I must insist on an English breakfast!! The Waikiki bar was the worst for this – they brought us the wrong order and the food was stone cold and tasted really bad. Next worst was Talk of the Town, then the Chablis Wine Bar and finally Barry and Sarah’s, which was actually the best and most reasonably priced so I’d recommend going there as the service is good too.
In terms of evening meals, our favourites had to be Don Camillo III (Italian), La Tasca (Grill) and Slow Boat (Chinese). Unfortunately we didn’t get to try the Poco Loco or Blue Jeans and I couldn’t find La Mamma anywhere but the Banana Bar was nice which had a really trendy atmosphere and seems to be run by surfers (watch out for the spicy food!)
I couldn’t find any discos but there were a number of surfer bars and English and Irish pubs. We didn’t try the Irish pubs and the only English pub we liked was the Underground Pub.
Excursions
Neither my partner nor I drive so I can’t comment on the car hire facilities! However, First Choice offered us a number of excursions. I had been recommended to book trips with local suppliers to save money so I just booked the Lanzarote trip with First Choice and looked elsewhere but couldn’t find any local excursion companies offering similar trips. Thus, I learned my lesson because when I went to book another 2 trips with First Choice, it was too late!
There are shopping day trips to Puerto Del Carmen in Lanzarote and trips to Lobos Island available from the harbour for very competitive prices but we booked a full tour (the guide, Roger, was very good) for around £40 pp and thoroughly enjoyed the day, albeit a long one! We had a tour round the volcanoes in Timanfaya National Park, the vineyards and Jameos Del Agua underground caves. I ended up going home with more knowledge about Lanzarote than Fuerteventura.
Other trips from Corralejo including a day to Jandia, Betancura, a jeep safari, catamaran cruise, glass bottom boat trip and something called Saturday Night Live where the reps put on a show.
Weather
The weather was beautiful the day we arrived but unfortunately got worse with it raining every day, although it was never cold, unless around the harbour area when it rains - at other times, it was cloud mixed with sunshine. Although Fuerteventura is supposed to be the windiest of the Canary Islands, I found it reasonably still while we were there. It was only windy around the harbour with a gently breeze on the beach. Most evenings were warm enough to go without a fleece or jacket.
All in all I had a good holiday and would definitely recommend the Lobos Bahia Aparthotel if you stay in Corralejo. Despite the occasional dodgy smell and snack bar, I'd still give the hotel 10 out of 10!
