| said: Just returned from Palm Wings. Overall we had a nice week but I agree with other reviews that this is not yet of 5 star category. The rooms were large but the second room contained pull out sofa beds opposed to a 2nd bedroom (a tip if you're going here. Someone we met had a tantrum and cried at reception and ended up in one of the very select sea view rooms) - however, most rooms have a garden view which is very pleasant. The Turkish and Russian guests take precedence at all times and this can be quite frustrating for us queue abiding British folk! Both at the bars and in the restaurants they are served and looked after much better. Outside each night the chef grills fresh fish and meats and this is what we went for most nights. We found the entertainment dire. My children are too old for mini clubs and most of the entertainment was geared towards the younger guests. The ampitheatre had something on each night but it was of very poor quality! Perhaps as time goes by this will improve. Most families sat round pool area after evening meal playing cards then retired relatively early to their rooms. Decking on the jetty area has to be seen to be believed! Just ensure you keep your flip flops on and tread very carefully. Lots of people tripped over uneven strips of decking when we were there. We think they'd had professionals in to do most of the wood work around the complex then decided to have a go themselves! That said, the beach area is lovely. Plenty of sunbeds and plenty of room. We didn't bother with the pool as this filled up very early and was mainly where the families with very young children chose to stay. Not sure how full the hotel was when we were there but the poolside was full to capacity everyday. Very slippy, very cramped.
Take loads of suntan lotion it is unbelievably hot plus a travel kettle if you like drinks in the room. The hairdryer in the room works well and theres no need to take your own.
In all we enjoyed the week but unlike Club Voyage in Turkey where we return every year, don't think we'd want to return to Palm Wings. Hope you find this useful!

| said: We have just returned from a week at the Palm Wings resort in Turkey. This is a great hotel and I would certainly recommend going this season before it gets too expensive next year as it has just opened in July.
The food was plentiful, there was something being served almost all day From the restaurant or one of the pool and beach bars. Towards the end of the week the hot dishes were being labelled, I hope this continues beacause for vegetarians. There were lots of puddings to choose from too. The food does stay pretty much same all week, but there is so much choice that it doesn't matter. There is always something cooked fresh outside too.
The location is excellent. It was a 2 hour drive from the airport, but not too horrendous. I would say to buy your food for the journey before getting to to airport. The prices in Bodrum Airport were high. We had 3 cups of tea in plastic cups for £10. The hotel has its own private beach which is not crowded. We ventured out of the hotel a few times - once to the local shops and beach and the beach was crowded, 10 umbrellas deep on the sand and very crowded in the water too. We were very shocked! the Saturday/Wednesday market has to be experienced. There is a lot of hard sell. Our kids were targeted which was horrible. One bloke took my husband's sunglasses and pretended to admire them whilst trying to sell us something. Another bloke followed us half way round the market trying to make us come to his stall. There are lots of fake T - shirt and handbags, some pretty poor copies. Try to knock at least 60% off any prices. The bus to/from the market is easy to take. It cost us 5 lira for a family of four.
THe Temple of Apollo is not far - take a taxi, don't book a day trip. It's 25 lira for a taxi and 2 lira entry. This is much better than being taken in a coach and taken via the leather factories on the way back.
Don't have any beauty services from the hotel as they are expensive. Your tour rep will have a cheaper package. My husband had a turkish shave at Cheeky Charlies just outside the hotel at a fraction of the cost.
The staff are very friendly. They love children, especially if they have blue eyes and blonde hair.
Entertainment is good. The team are young and foreign, most make a big effort to speak English. They seem to love kids as well. Our children enjoyed the mini club (free!!). It was good for keeping the kids out of the sun whilst we sunbathed.
There is plenty of room around the pool and the beach. You need to put your towel down by 8.00, but everyone does it and they don't get moved. Keep your towel there all day, even over lunch and your midday nap as they don't get moved. One towel per person is provided each day, and there are plenty of towels in the room.
W would certainly recommend this hotel to you -Grab it now whilst it is relatively cheap.
There are some video clips on U -tube and there is an offical Palm Wings website to look at too.
Hope you choose this hotel.

| said: I went with the wife and 2 boys 13 and 15 for the last week in July and 1st week in August. Didnt notice any major building work at all whilst we were there. They finished and opened the disco whilst we were there (but it was always empty)
Before I go on, I just want to point out that I am not someone who expected everything to be perfect. I went on the holiday with an open mind and expected a few problems and just wanted 2 quiet weeks to relax and unwind.
As i just said, I expected some teething problems having read all the reviews before we went, and we did have some with our room but nothing that would have made me demand a room change.
The hotel was ok, but no where near 5 star as they advertise. Rooms are very very clean and spacious but have been put together by Bob the builder.\we stayed in a family villa and it was obvious that we were the first people that used the Villa. The shower didnt just leak, it flooded the bathroom everytime it was used. The wardrobe door kept falling off and the front door could not be locked from the inside, which allowed the maid to walk in twice whist we were getting ready to go out. We spoke to customer relations 6 times whilst we were there to enquire about getting the room issues fixed, and she was useless. Yes she was very attentive and wrote everything down, but not one thing was fixed that we asked her to report to the management.
Pool is great and the middle slide was re-opened on the last day of our stay. This had been closed as people had complained about being hurt by it. They have smoothed it off and now its ok. However there were not enough sunbeds during our second week of the holiday. The beds are tightly packed together and this meant that when an umbrella was put up it could cover a few beds. Fine if you wanted to be in the shade but not so fine if you didnt. The umbrellas wee also getting damaged a lot with the nice breeze that was there every day so they ended up tying the ends of the umbrellas down. During the second week the customer relations team came down twice and removed all the towels from the beds as people had complained about beds being reserved, but they didnt do this every day! If they are going to implement a no-reservations rule, they need to stick to it and not just do it occasionally. People we know were left to explain to some irate Germans why they were sitting on the beds they had reserved ages ago and were asking what thy had done with their towels. Customer relations were not there to explain that they had taken the towels. The poor people who had just taken empty beds were left to take the flack.
Animation team work very hard and you have the usual team trying to get people up for pool games etc which the kids loved but they evening entertainment was the worst I have ever come across in a hotel. The entertainment starts at 9pm with a mini disco for 1 hour then there is some form of show/act/game by the animation team for a max of 1 hour. The standard of these shows was terrible and not what you expect from a so called 5 star hotel. We went into Altinkum very other night to get away from the boredom.
Main restaurant.
Food is presented to a very high standard and the selection of salad and fruit was amazing. However, although there are lots of different dishes to try, they are 90 % Turkish type dishes that were not labeled up most days so you didn't have a clue what you were about to eat. Fortunately, there was always pasta as well so one of my kids ate pasta every evening as the choice for children just didn't exist. Puddings were just as varied.... Lots of choice, but god knows what they where. Its hard to say bad things against the food as I never went hungry, my only criticism is that they catered for the Turkish guests only.
Beach bar/snack restaurant.
We went here most lunch times as the kids wanted burger and chips. There is a choice of Pizza, chicken, burger, chips & salad etc bt most days these were cold as they seem to prepare the food in large batches and then leave them. The tryas of food are suspended over large drums of hot water to keep the food hot but that only worked when they put fresh just cooked food into them. We only saw them put pre-cooked food into them that had been cooked ages ago and had gone cold.
As previously reported, there are few spirits available with the all inclusive and if you want anything else or want a drink after midnight, its dam expensive, but the main thing that bothered me was the ignorance of some of the guests. I was told that there are 3 main weeks in the summer that the Turkish take their holidays and a lot of Turkish people come to Altinkum. The hotel was about 65-70% full of Turkish business men & families They have never heard of the word queue and just walk to the front of a food or drink queue and bark their orders to the staff. Even the small children do it. Many English were getting angry regarding this, but to me its that bar staff that are the problem. All they had to do was to tell them to queue up but they just served them first anyway. Very infuriating !!
Altinkum town itself is the dirtiest part of Turkey I have been to. Last year I went to Hisaronu/ Olu Diniz and found it to be 200% cleaner than here. Im glad I was all inclusive and didnt have to eat at some of the restaurants. The shops and bars were ok though but watch for big price differences between some of the bars.
Overall, I judge a holiday by one simple question, and that question is "Would I go back to the same place again?"
In this case, I would have said yes if it wasnt for he ignorant, selfish people that were staying at the hotel. The hotel itself I would put as a 3 star plus (possibly 4 if they get some decent night time entertainment) The hotel is aimed at the Turkish holiday maker so I wont be going back,

the maid service wasnt consistent one day the room would be cleaned and we would have towels folded into swans and the next day we had a pile of un folded towels dumped on an un made bed.lots of choice of food for dinner but after the two weeks it got very boring. had to get to dinner early to avoid fly coverd food. we found staff very ignorant espeically in the bars, they would ignore you and serve turkish people standing behind you and turkish people would push infront of you. limited choice of drinks you have to pay 2pound for fresh orange juice in the morning.all sunbeds were reserved by 9:00 in the morning, we managed to get some twice during are stay early in the afternoon. there were no water sports there were 2 pedalows the first two days. in the second week a new one came but a familly where made to get off it and it was towed back up to the town by speedboat. adult entertainment was very bad!!. lots of building work was still going on. fire detecters in the villas were not connected!.aircon- was being fitted to restaurant and signs were being appearing everywhere with rules and regalations, not what you want to see on your holiday just as we were leaving.on our second day we booked a turkish bath and face mask in the resort we payed 112 pound for 3 of us which would of cost 30pund down the town less a face mask.
it was our first time in turkey and i would deffintly not go back. we know this is a new hotel but they have alot of work to do if they want to call themselfs a 5 star is it is deffintly not one at the moment! it was the attitude and unhelpfullness of the staff that was more unpleasent then being in an unfinished hotel.

| said: We have just arrived home, from a 2 week all-inclusive holiday at palm wings beach resort. We arrived there at 6am and got checked in quickly then we got taken to our apparment by a golf buggy.
Well dinner was ok, but prefered to eat in the snack bar which served chips, burgers, pizzas and chicken. But on a night time there was the restaurent which served fresh grilled stuff like chicken but sometimes this wasn't cooked. After the first week and got sick of the same food we decided to start eating out.
The entertainment was good but more for younger kids, apart from the pool games which was once a day at around 12:00 anybody could join in. There was 3 slides but after the first week one of them broke (yellow one) and was yet not to be fixed, they have a life guard making sure you go down safely also people were going down in rubber rings but this was no problen unless you were underneath the slides.
But over all i could say this holiday sort was exellent but they just need to get the food catering for more english than just turks! ****

| said: We arrived at the hotel on 21/07/08. 2 Adults and 2 children. We were met by staff who took our bags and took us to check in. We were then taken by Golf buggy to our room.
Hotel Cleanliness :- All public areas were constantly being cleaned. The pool and restaurant toilets were cleaned several times each day. Our room had the towels and sheets changed every other day but there were only 3 sets of towels and there were 4 of us. The floor was a bit mucky by the end of the 2 weeks as I don't think it was cleaned that often. I had to put a couple of steralsing tablets down the drain in the bathroom because it was getting a bit whiffy.
ROOM - The rooms are outstanding, they are very big and quite homely. There is air con in both rooms and flat screen telly in the main room. We did have water coming in the patio doors when the gardens were watered but we told staff about this and it was sorted in 24 hours. The shower was also leaking but not enough for us to report it.
DRINKS - There is a very limited selection of alcoholic drinks. Beer, Wine, Vodka, Gin and Raiki (there may have been others but they weren't advertised) and if you wanted other drinks they were very expensive (Malibu and Coke 13 YTL!)
DIABETICS BEWARE - if you ask for a diet coke you don't always get it. We had a diabetic in our party and his sugars became very high on 2 occasions, there are no other sugar free drinks available.
FOOD - The food was OK, very samey and not very hot. There are still lots and lots of flies, but in a hot country i'm not that surprised. The food was recycled a lot, I could have had brocolli for breakfast or croissants for afternoon cakes! My husband is a vegetarian and there was very little for him to eat other than salad and pasta. On the Turkish night there was not one hot dish that didn't have meat in it. When we complained we were told by the chef it was Turkish and the Turkish don't have vegetarians, we were not offered anything else, so had to go out for a meal. The food is not labeled every day so it is difficult to know what you are eating. Contrary to what is advertised there is only 3 places to eat one is the main Panorma restaurant and the other is the snack bar that is open 1000-1700 (and the food tasted like it had been there for hours). They do have an a la Carte restaurant in the Panorama restaurant but from what we were told by people that had eaten there we didn't use it. Again there was no vegetarian food here or at the snackbar.
FACILITIES - The beach is lovely, there are lots of steps but it is much quieter than the pool. It has gravelly sand which is great for making sand castles. The hotel shop is very expensive, nearly double the price of the shop a few minutes from the complex. We didn't use any of the games rooms but they looked good and were well used.
The Wi Fi connection at the hotel very rarely worked whilst we were there.
POOL - The pool has a marble floor surrounding it and gets very very slippery when wet, children fell on a regular basis. The slides are good fun for the kids but are not that well made as you could feel the ridges as you went down, but the children loved them. There are loads of sunbeds which all have cushions, if you want one at the pool edge or by the baby pool you will need to get a towel out by 8.00 am.
Unfortunately the pool is believed to be responsible for a stomach infection that spread round the hotel whilst we were there. My 3 year old son ended up in Hospital on a drip for 5 hours because he kept being sick and could not even hold water down. We made friends with a few people and 8 out of 12 of us had either diorrhea or sickness. We were told by the local chemist that lots and lots of people had come to him from the hotel with the same problem and the hotel Dr said that it was either the pool or the food that was making peple ill.
LOCATION - The hotel is about a 5-10 minute walk from the edge of Altinkum resort. Unfortunately sunwings don't have a welcome meeting so we had to find out about transport and local atractions ourselves.
HOTEL STAFF - The hotel staff were OK as long as you didn't have a problem. But apparently 7 staff quit in one day so that probably explains why, things obviously aren't that good for them.
ENTERTAINMENT - We only really saw the kids entertainmet which was exactly the same every night and my 5 and 3 yr old were bored of it by the end of the 2 weeks.
The hotel is not by any means 5 star. The rooms are a good 4 but everything else is a 3. The holiday was worth the money we paid but if rumours are true that the price will double next year it will not be worth it.
I believe this hotel needs to stop trying to do things on the cheap and it would be much much better. They are very guided by times, the ice cream que started about 10 minutes before it opened and you had to que for about 10 minutes to get an ice cream and if you were in the que and it got to 5 o clock they just closed the freezer and said no more ice cream.

| said: We went to the resort on 21st July 08. Arrived there OK after the drive from the airport and checked in. No towel cards available till midday, so we couldn't use the pool or beach as we had not taken our own (considering it is 5 * we thought that would be catered for). When we got into our room it was boiling (at 7am!), so turned on the air con. Unfortunately it blew air but not cold air. We spent the rest of the week sweating like anything at night with the patio door open and not sleeping very well as it was hot and humid in the room. 4 calls to reception and the guest relations still didn't seem to get it fixed, even when we rang to tell them it was leaking through the ceiling and down the walls......maybe the maids will say something when they see the buckets of water on the floor....no, they didn't clean the room that frequently. Not a big issue really but it is nice to have clean towels and the water that is promised. We needed the clean towels as the beach was made of builders sand and stained you orange! Generally the hotel was very clean though. Food was OK but a bit samey......was cold on more than one occasion.
The entertainment was very much in your face if you didn't avoid it, so great for those who want to get involved but not for those who want quiet. And the music by the pool was so loud and very Turkish!
Beach was a bit hard to get to with pushchairs and totally inaccessable for wheelchair users as there were far too many steps. Kept us fit though, only put on a pound for a week all inclusive!
The hotel was good and it was a good holiday, few teething problems and we probably would have felt better if we have been kept informed of the progress (or not) of the air con situation. It reminded me of Majorca or Tenerife in the 1980s when I holidayed as a kid. Good hotel for families, not really a couples place.

| said: we arrived at palm wings for a 2 week family holiday. on arrival the staff were very kind and took us to our apartment on a golf buggy. the apartment was located very close to the pool, restaurant, and bar.
the shower was extremely dangerous as it flooded the bathroom after every use and my 3 year old slipped on numerous occasions, the fridge didnt work for the whole stay and the air conditioning broke once which was fixed quickly after we managed to get the reception staff to understand us.
there were plenty of sunbeds for us with staff arriving with more beds and tables and chairs everyday.
the food in the main restaurant had a variety for adults but not enough variety for children, although the beach bar did open after being there 3 days which my son and daughter named the new mcdonalds. there was no air conditioning in the main restaurant which made it quite uncomfortable to eat and had a tendency to attract flies i have since read this has been sorted,i hope so. staff in the restaurant were friendly and i believe are still learning as they listened when you had a problem.
the pool was the biggest we have seen just abit dangerous as when we got there no depths had been put up good job my kids are fishes. slides were very good after life guard organised people coming down on dingys with no consideration for others.
the entertainment team worked hard to keep you occupied and tryed to get you to join in if you wanted. my children took a shine to diego he was great the best, they also went to the mini club where they had lots of fun.
yes the place had teething problems but nothing that we let spoil our stay,we would definately return to this hotel as i think it will be amazing when its all finished

| said: We returned from this hotel on the 27th July after 7 days.
We had a good holiday only booking at the last minute so was very pleased with our accommodation and the hotel overall, not sure how we would feel if we had paid full price.
This hotel is probably going to be lively once all finished - music played almost all day around the pool and we were constantly asked to join in the activities.
We struggled for the first couple of days to find anywhere to sit around the pool, not enough beds (but solved the problem by getting up at 7.00am to put out towels!! this wasn't ideal when your on holiday)
The hotel was almost finished but nothing to bother us with - the beach disco was still being built which is probably going to be very loud (lots of testing going on while we were there and we could hear it all over the hotel).
The entertainment was just about ok for our two (7 & 5) but not sure what there is to do if you have older children. The slides into the pool were enjoyed by our 7 year old but one of them wasn't working after a couple of days and remained closed for the rest of our holiday. The beach was peaceful and kept very clean, loads of beds but not enough parasols to go round, although we did see regular deliveries arriving so the hotel is trying to keep up with demand.
Food was brilliant plenty to eat and very well presented (did get a bit bored by end of week though)
Take care of the floor which became slippy on a few occasions, my daughter went flying with a plateful one evening (the waiters all rushed to her aid and were very apologetic).
The drinks were ok although we did pay for some drinks that were not included which was costly although they were 5* prices. Which leave us to say the hotel in our opinion is great and we had a good rest but it is definitely not 5* (not at the moment anyway) not if you compare it to many other 5* hotels available.
It is excellent value for money if you are paying the reduced prices currently on offer but if we had paid more we would have been very disappointed.

Booked seaview but got all seaview were taken and unable to move us to the room we had booked. Maids daily routine was to clean but hard pushed to receive proper cleaning, kitchen roll instead of toilet roll.
Shower leaked, bedroom door locked us out, air con froze, waited 6 hours for engineer who wanted to gain access at 12.30 in the morning when all asleep, maids decorated rooms lovely with swans made from towels but decorated with items that was hidden in drawers, hand towels instead of bath towels if lucky, sheets changed 3 times in two weeks and i had to pinch brush from maid so i could give it a proper clean, booked early morning call for thursday at 6 a.m for booked trip, received call weds 6 a.m! booked early call for trip home and they forgot! no tea or coffee facilities in room, only get coffee before 10 a.m in reception bar but not allowed to take back to villa, have to drink there or not at all! started using cup and saucer but by second week had to use polystyrene cup like you get from a roadside cafe! 5 star!! reception staff laughable! ask them a question and they plead ignorant and pass the buck, food was 4 star apart from flies but disappeared in second week as air con was fitted, first week was very clean but second week staff seemed less enthusiastic and tables were not cleared from breakfast and still sat there at lunch time. Entertainment? watched one episode which involved two men dressed as babies attacking each other????? As for booking again, we got it fairly cheap but description said five star but would only rate this as a 3 star at a push!!

There is no beach bar, no disco, no watersports, and the airco in the fitness area was broken. This would no be a problem if everyone was friendly. But even the managers are not friendly. Only the last day they said that, because there were so many problems during our holidays, we could keep our room untill 4 in the afternoon if we signed a paper that the hotel was good and everyone was friendly. Altikum is a nice place but the hotel is located one hour walking from this nice place. We spent almost all our holiday in Altikum were everyone was nice and there was much more to do then in the hotel, were you can do nothing in the evening. There is a show that only last like a half hour and after that there's is no music or so and you have to wait a long long time when you want anything from the bar.

Everything was very clean and tidy, with waiters constantly clearing and cleaning tables, whether in the restaurant or by the pool.
The pool was great - massive and cold enough to be very refreshing in the heat. It is all the same depth (1.5m), with depth markers next to each set of steps and there is also a children's pool. There were plenty of sunloungers (with cushions!) and parasols to go around, as long as you didn't turn up until 11am!
The private beach was nice, but not very big and will benefit when the terraces around it are completed.
Food was good - a wide selection and lots of healthy options, it got a bit samey after 5/6 days, but you would expect it to. I don't think there was ever a time when food wasn't served somewhere in the resort though - burgers, chips, cake, ice cream, pancakes - you name it, it was there!
The only spirits on offer were vodka and gin and be careful of paying extra for others - at 13 Lira for a Malibu, it soon adds up! However, it's not like you get a 25ml shot - more like 75ml, so I guess £5 for a triple/quadruple isn't so bad!
We didn't really watch/join with any of the entertainment, as all we wanted to do was relax, but the guys singing and playing guitars by the pool bar were very good!
There are still a few things to be completed, such as the disco bar and when they are, this will be an ever better place to stay than when we were there. We had a fantastic time and would thoroughly recommend Palm Wings to couples and families alike!
If I can figure out how to add some photos, I will post them up!

| said: Hi Guys, my husband, kids and I came home on 10th July, we had a relly lovely time and are booked to return at the end of May next year. Our daughter made some good friends, some of which are also returning the same week as we are.
The hotel was very nice, yes, a few minor problems that were sorted out quickly (well, we ended up getting our curtains on the last night, but had nets up so that didn't really matter)! The problems and incompleteness of some things no way ruined our holiday, it's just making us look forward to our holiday all the more next year.
The staff were really friendly, couldn't do enough to help you out and loved the kids. The Turkish Baths opened on 5th July, my husband and I would highly recommend using this, yes, you may pay a little more than if you were to go outside of the hotel for any of the treatments, but it is definitely worth it, and they do offer you discounts for repeat visits down there.
My husband used the gym whilst we were there and thought us was brilliant. i had problems trying to get my daughter out of the swimming pool!! She loved the slides, except the blue one, that was a little rough, maybe needs some sanding down. The pool was thought out very well, although it didn't have depth markers on.
We couldn't fault the food that was there, it was first class and the service was great too, look out for Yusaf in the restaurant, he's one of the managers in there, say hello from Jemma!! He went totally out of his way to help, on our last day we were being picked up at 13:00 and lunch starts at 12:30, so we just had time to grab something to eat, because Bodrum Airport is so expensive. Anyway, our 15 month old son had fallen asleep, well, Yusaf found us a couple of tin foil dishes and gave us something to wrap them in so we could take some food for him to eat on the journey to the airport, which I thought was really kind of him to do. The only thing I would say is that there wasn't a specific kids menu, but if your kids are anything like mine and eat pretty much anything, then there's something for them at each meal and the snack, ice cream and cookies and cake times during the day!!
The evening entertainment was good, and yes, if you're not on the ball you get dragged up, I know, I was up a couple of times!! The mini disco was good, my daughter is still going round singing the spanish song and doing all the actions!! The mini club opened a few days into our holiday, our daughter went a few times and really enjoyed herself. The play park that is next to the mini club is really good, although the best time is in the evening when the sand has cooled down.
I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone, the longer we were there, the more things became available. Can't wait for next year, not looked at flights yet, but I'm sure I'll find some bargin!!

| said: Could not have been happier with the room - so much better than we expected. Okay there were no curtains when we arrived but we made do for the first morning (arrived 6am) but when we returned after lunch they were up and sorted.
Only things lacking at present is the number of toliets in the public area and better lighting and safety rails on some of the stair or tiered area's. Pool side can be slippy but more than enough seating and parasoles. We never used it ourselves as we prefered the beach which was fantastic - however at this time it would be difficult to access this if you had a mobility problem or very young children as lots of steep steps and no ramps going all the way down - yet!!
Entertainment seems to be of the continental variety - lots of europoppy songs for the kids club and some strange but funny games for the adults - close enough to walk to the nearby strip if you want or rooms have nice balconies if you want to relax and read. TV only had one english channel although later should be six. No tea making facilities - just to warn you.
Some communication problem with staff and felt especially the security and recption staff should have had at least passable english.
Food was fresh, plentiful and varied and was superb. Unfortunalty many of us brits had no manners and it is always nice to acknowledge good service and the staff really appreciated it. Yes there are some teething troubles but mostly minor and will not spoil your time at this resort.
We would have booked to come back before we left if we could have.

| said: We arrived at Palm Wings 4 days after opening, hoping that it would be complete but it was incomplete and still was when we left 7 days later. We had a lovely huge appartment but it had a few teething problems we had no tv, no curtains, no safe deposit box and the door frame fell off when we attempted to close the door ! The first two problems were resolved after a few daays/trips to reception !
Once completed Palm Wings will be lovely but at present families will struggle to entertain teenagers on site, this was also echoed by a number of guests on our stay. But for those who are happy to lay around the pool its fine. The pool is huge, but did get cramped for sunbed space as more guests arrived. As we left the internet cafe and gym were just being completed and the spa was up and running (fantastic turkish bath, well worth a visit ). The only place to eat on site was the main dining room.
The food was as usual for an all inclusive nothing special, but the flies were annoying in the dining room. 1 fly killer was placed on a table near the door after a couple of days, so maybe this is something they are looking in to.
Over all Palm Wings was full of lovely people, great value for money at the current prices and will be fantastic !

| said: Hi we were amongst first guests to arrive at this hotel, flowers, champagne and fruit on arrival. The hotel was not quite finished but did not deter us in anything we wanted to do. Few teething problems (as expected with newly opening) with the rooms but sorted as soon as complaint. The rooms were fabulous with flat screen TV, fridge and A/C and patio with table and chairs. Staff very friendly, food nice (sometimes we bit cold for ma liking), entertainment crew very friendly and mingled amongst guests at meal times. The pool area was lovely and had flumes for the kids (and us lol). We preferred the private beach with really comfy beds with cushions, only thing would say about the beach the water had few large rocks which I thought bit dangerous for kids although when we were leaving some of the staff were attempting to remove some of the bigger rocks so maybe that wont be a problem now. Beach towels supplied everyday (more room in case magic). As we were first guests we were given a free week next May and I cant wait loved our holiday and met loads of lovely people.

| said: hi there, we have just returned today from staying at palm wings resort in its first week of opening. on arrival we were greeted with wine and very helpful and friendly staff. we got transported to our little house bit by golf cart thing, lol they dont even want you to walk! the wee housey thing was very nice. double bedroom with loads of storage space, nice living room with 2 sofa beds and a plasma tv and patio doors out to the patio where we had a table and 4 chairs. there was A/C in the living room and bedroom but the bedroom one was a bit dodgy until about the 3rd day when it suddenly started working fine.. much to our delight as it was bloody roasting!
meal times were nice when we got to eat outside for the first 2 days, but as more guests arrived food was served in the big pnorama restaurant which was fine but flies seemed to swarm in and were all over the food which made you want to eat first to ensure the food wasnt covered in fly bits.
the staff were mega friendly however the turkish holiday makers there did tend to get preferencial treatment. the waiters would be bringing bread and wine to their table whilst you struggle to even get them to bring you some cutlery..
the pool is MASSIVE but the surrounding areas for loungers isnt. it seems crammed in comparrison to the total hugeness of the pool.
the hotel is in a really nice area, youre just a short walk to a supermarket and other bars if you like it a bit rowdier, dolphin square in altinkum is 15lira in a taxi away, kinda like blackpool but without the charm! the way to get around the area is by dolmus. they are every 15 mins or so and run all day till late at night, its 1lira 25 for the fare wich is roughly 50p? so its really cheap to use to go up to temple of apollo which i recommend and to go to the pazar market in didim on saturdays but prepare to get hassled!!
the entertainment team were very enthusiastic and the kids seemed to love it. the outside amphitheatre is cool but mega loud whilst the entertainment is on and sad for you if, like us, you want an early night before you leave in the middle of the night for your transfer to the airport. we were quite close to this though so you might be ok if youre further away..
all in all we had a fantastic week, i'm really nitpicking here and it really was jsut finding its feet. we were offered a free week next year all inclusive for being the first ever guests and we'll really look forward to this! just need to find some cheap flights :)
overall i'd give this hotel 9/10 when its up and running fine, highly recommended.

| said: We were the first people to book into this resort that opened on the 1st July we were moved to this hotel as had been double booked in previous hotel. On arrival we were warmly greeted where the bell boys took our luggage to our apartment. The accommodation was above average for this type of holiday, where we had a flat screen tv, air conditioning and plenty of space. We also had a fruit basket and a bottle of sparkling wine waiting for us in our room. The staff were very friendly and always made an effort to talk to us. Having been to 2 previous hotels on this holiday (due to booking problems), the food was very good for an all inclusive holiday and the waiters were very helpful. As the resort had just opened, some of the facilities were not open, which was very frustrating. however, by the time you read this, everything should be up and running. As with all new hotels, there were a few issues. When the sprinklers came on, they soaked us when we were sitting on the patio and our towels were wetter in the morning then when we had put them out to dry in the evening
