| said: We stayed at the Kosma Sun apts from 2nd to 16th Sept 08. What struck us most was how clean the apts were, sheets are changed every 3rd day and towels also, rooms were cleaned every 3rd day too, by a charming lady named Diana.
Kosma the proprietor was extremely polite and as helpful as anyone could wish for, nothing was too much trouble.
The surrounding grounds were well cared for and the pool was cleaned daily.
We went to these apts for peace & quiet and that is exactly what we got. Bearing in mind these were 2** apts (Greek 2**) I was very impressed I have been in 3*** that was not as well kept as these were.
The majority of guests were couples ranging from mid 20's to 70's, it is not a place to take children, or disabled people there are no facilities for kiddies to do anything, and is rather a long walk to the beach 20 mins, I have been to Crete 8 times now, and this was one of the nicest places I have stayed in, for friendliness and relaxation.
A special mention must be made to Nikos, Natasha, Dimitri & Tomas who made our stay even more comfortable by feeding us very well at the poolside bar.

| said: We have been to Greece many times on a self catering basis and have always found the accomodation to be basic but spotlessly clean. Unfortunately we did not have that experience repeated here! We have always found Greek people to be the most friendly accomodating people in the world, unfortunately we could use that description for the owner of this hotel. The one saving grace was the pool bar which is run by Nikos, Natasha and their two sons. They made us feel so welcome and nothing was too much trouble for them. They are wonderful people.
We would never contemplate returning to the hotel however we will most definately being visiting Nikos and family when we go back to Crete

| said: I stayed at the Kosma Sun in August 2007 on a little "Shirley Valentine" vacation I treated myself too....I thoroughly enjoyed it.
The low-rise apartments are simple but spotless, relaxing and peaceful. The two brothers who run it are extremely friendly and helpful, the pool area is an added bonus - attractive and clean although there was an issue with the number of loungers available to guest last year (it was their first year with a British tour operator and I think Olympic planned to pull them up on certain things like this for future seasons). Air conditioning was 50 euros I think for the week, the safe was in reception for all your valuables (rather than in your apartment). Poolside snack bar, great local bottled beer (mythos) went down nicely in the afternoon.... There were a few families with 12-18 year olds there in the week I went (summer hols after all) and luckily they were all fantastic - its the kind of pool that you can chat away to folks and make friends if you want, but if you fancy a quiet day lounging about you wont be bothered. I would request a hillside view room, very relaxing and the other side of the apartments are poolside which can restrict your balcony privacy.
A 10 minute stroll (all I could manage in the August heat) down a tarmac lane (reasonably lit in the evenings but a bit off the beaten track so I didnt chance it on my own) takes you to Anissaras, its tavernas, an atm, a few supermakets and the beach.
Just one last thing, I don't think I've ever been on a holiday where the owner of my apartments and his girlfriend take me out to their favourite bar to meet their friends and have a taste of the real Greece.........just one example of how well I was treated there. I would definitely return.
