| said: The hotel room was lovely and clean, only downside just 1 electrical socket. The maid cleaned the room every day. The toilets in the hotel itself were not cleaned regularly. The food was awful quite often cold, and the eggs were black. Lots of nationalities in the hotel. Staff were not very friendly. The lifts in the hotel also broke down on a regular basis and as the hotel had 8 floors that was a problem. The hotel was based in a good location, but was certainly not four star. And while we were there they made it 5 star which is a joke. Would go back to sunny beach but would only go self-catering or bed and breakfast. It is very cheap to eat out and lots of entertainment in the bars and restaurants, mainly singers and groups some of who are very good and some who were awful.

| said: Hotel set back slightly but only 2-3 mins from beach.
Pool is a reasonable size and has a childrens section, there are plenty of sun beds.
Maids clean the rooms daily and change the towels.
Staff are very friendly and helpful, but the bar is very small and there was no entertainment in the hotel while we were there.
Food was ok, but they did not have a very good choice, and after a few days got a little fed up, would suggest eating out.
I would also suggest that you change your money outside the hotel as the rate is far better.

| said: Hotel Alba is in centre of Sunny Beach. There are lots of pubs and restaurants nearby but you dont notice any noise from them after midnight. Its a one minute walk from the beach. It has recently been refurbished to a very high standard. The rooms are a good size and very clean. The food was similar every night. All food is buffet style and is clearly labelled so you know exactly what you are getting. I'm don't eat meat or fish and did find that I was very limited to what I could eat. The pool area is not very big and we did find it difficult to get a sunbed. There was no entertainment at all in the hotel. The reception staff and waiters speak very good English and they are very helpful.

The hotel was very clean and the maid cleaned our rooms very well each day. The location was excellent right at the heart of things the staff were pleasant but most did not understand English. There was no entertainment on but the bar was open 24 hours.

| said: The hotel itself is very good, however the sheets are only changed once per week, the towels are changed daily though, the food was reasonably good but as stated in the brochure under comments, in June 2003 it was said that the food is always cold, sadly nothing has been done to address this, & the food is still cold as is the water for making tea/cofee,complaining to the staff made no difference, the crockery was in poor condition, it was difficult to find a cup, saucer, or plate that was not cracked or chipped, most unhygenic. The location couldn't be better. Entertainment was completely non existant either by day or night,& the email facilities did not exist though there is a sign saying internet, there were no computers so the nearest facilities were approx 100m away at another(cheaper) hotel. It is extremely unlikely that I would visit this hotel again.

| said: I found the food at this hotel quite nice but they have a lot of catching up to do on what the English like. We always found something nice to eat every night.
This hotel was exceptionally clean, rooms were cleaned daily and fresh towels left.
The Alba is in an excellent location (one of the reasons why we chose it.) ask for a high floor with pool view, then you get sea view as well. We were never bothered by any noise.
Most of the staff in the hotel understood little English, but you get by. They seemed friendly and willing to please.
As for hotel entertainment I don

| said: Excellent position in this lovely resort. Rooms of a good size and very clean, towels changed daily. Hotel and pool area also very clean.
Food is what to be expected in Bulgaria, catering mainly for the Germans, so don't expect sausage and bacon for breakfast, although plenty of cereals, bread and fruit, even cakes!
Evening meals mainly the same each night, but you get by. Eating out in the resort is very cheap and worth if for a change. Hotel staff very friendly.
The only complaint was the Balkan rep, his english was very poor and unfortunately we needed to visit the hospital and his lack of english and bad attitude added to the stress.
Sunny beach is a lovely resort, plenty to do especially for all ages of children (mine was 4 at the time and wants to go back!)The beach is close by and very clean. Recommended for a very reasonably priced family holiday.
