the only thing good i can say about this hotel is the location (although on reading previous reviews we seem to be in a minority) we thought the location was good being quite central and easy access to east and west apart from that it has to be one of the worst it is close to a busy main road and very noisy

the air conditioning is rubbish but the little it did work it was too noisy to have on so we had to leave the door open and the traffic kept us awake

we went bed and breakfast which wasnt very good little choice and the fattest greasy bacon i have ever seen

this was a large hotel we were on the 9th of 11 floors and they had one really small toaster , the breakfast plates were the size of saucers, the cups were huge with teeny tiny handles, you cant get your finger in designed we thought to discourage people from having a second cup

apart from that the rooms are large and kept very clean the hotel staff were not very friendly and there were not many of them, the pools were tiny the kids pool was like a foot bath,

maderia is a beautiful place we went to the nuns valley and the east and west of the island, goregous, we went by taxi we always had john taxi no 1029 he was great i would go back to maderia but not this hotel there are much nicer ones

Upon arrival found the reception staff very friendly. Breakfast was satisfactory. Arrived a day late. Went for breakfast the next mornign feeling very tired. No table available for four, so we sat at a table for six, we were then pounced on by waiting staff, one waiter who in partullar, who was to annoy us for the duration of the stay. He showed us the obvious, that the table was for six, whereupon we asked him to find us a table for four, which he couldnt do, and reseated us at the table for six. Following morning, he picked on my son. All in all one waiter put us off our breakfast each morning.
