The Odysseus has been the heartbeat of 2wentys in Kavos for years simply because this place goes off big style! It's so good in fact it's even been on the telly. The atmosphere round the Big Blue pool is second to none and there's always something going on to take your fancy. A super base for the perfect 2wentys holiday.

stayed in Odysseus aug 2008 it was clean and basic okay we were given the best apartment above the bar (by the way if you get its the biggest and the best apartment by far!) but there is a downside its on top of the bar so you literally have no sleep for a week! as music plays 24hr which does start to get on your nerves as it ridiculously loud at 8 30 am when you have just stumbled in!! But apart from that its actually a much better resort then some of the reviews make out. We had to balconies and the cleaner came regularly. But they are extremely stingy 2 euros for a sunbed each day plus your expected to buy your own toliet paper!!

the upside-the pool area actaully really nice ten times nicer then the kavos beaches and the food served by the bar is good and convenient when you come back at 6 am and fancy some chips-its great!!
alsoo odysseus security guard soo fit!! lookalike of jude law and Maria funniest woman threatned to call the police when i got chucked in the pool.
all in all great holiday wayyy better accomadation then expected no signs of vomit and very little stench anywhere!!
cant wait to go back

This hotel is ideal if your just looking for a place to shower and sleep! The maids never seemed to bother coming in our room and didn't even give us toilet roll! When we asked for some she said we had to buy it from the shop at reception which we thought was a little strange but obviously we brought it anyway!

There was no shower curtains in the bathroom and the hotel stank of sewage - but so does the rest of Kavos because of the rubbish waste system they have!

Around the pool you have to pay 2 euros each for a sunbed and your not allowed to bring your own food or drink round the pool area! If you do, the old lady called Maria who works there goes in your bag whilst your in the pool and takes it away from you!!!!!!!

All in all, if all you want is a place to dump your stuff and roll in at 6am then it's the place to be! Right at the beginning of the strip it's ideal.

Tickets stated we'd either have a terrace or balcony - when we got there our room was over the road(not even withthe actual hotel)and only had a tiny window! We complained straight away and got our rep to change our rooms. Our second room was brilliant, decent size and massive balcony. Pool was good, but music was waay too loud so we went along the beach to find soo many other nice pool that we could use. Hotel was situated in the best place - just at the end of the strip and about 3 minute walk from the beach. Deffinately take your own towels because you only get hand towels and also make sure you dont spread all your belongings all over the place because i had a items go missing that the cleaners most probably took.

Dont listen to anyone that says its a dump because its NOT!

After reading reviews on the apartments and it being my first '2wentys' holiday!
We had an absolutley brilliant time in these apartments, yes - the bath towels they give you are the size of hand towels but just take a spare and yes the showers dont have a wall hook so you have to hold them up but it really isnt a problem!
The maids do tend to come in and clean around you around 10.30 am even if you are still asleep but we just left our key in the lock!!!

If you go with 2wentys i definatly reccommend doing the whole package - the bights out are brilliant and the boat trip is fantastic!

The place is kept really clean and I thought initially having a 24 bar would be annoying and noisy but it comes in SOOOOOOO handy for snacks and drinks when your peckish at 4 am!!! Johnny the barman is absolutley wicked! and all the staff are really helpful and speak good english.

Overall 5* holiday I dont think we could of asked for much more!!!

I didn't read any reviews before me and my friend booked to go to Kavos. And after we booked and everything was final I read loads of reviews and I started to get a bit panicky as most of the reviews of the hotel were quite bad.

But when we got there very early in the morning I must admit the room was very basic. You have unattratively decorated bathroom, a tiny box for a kitchen but quite a reasonable sized room with a balcony.

The only time we were in our room was to sleep and get ready to go out. Occasionally we cooked and ate in and we got used to it after the second day.

The cleaner was lovely and would leave you if you where sleeping. The towels didn't get changed but thankfully we took extra ones. The sheets got changed on our 2nd to last day.

Your bins get changed daily and your floors get brushed and mopped.

Nothing to complain about at all really. It's more then what I expected after reading past reviews

As we went at the end of the season everthing was broken! Cupboards, bed, drawers! They did fix the bed as soon as we told them it was broken which I was very impressed with.

They changed our towels twice, so we had to ask daily.
Luckily we read previous reveiws and took extra towels.

The sheets were not changed once and the cleaners do turn up if and when they please. (even if your asleep, they will come in your room and shout at you in greek! really funny!)

Pool food is decently priced and quite nice but beware of the wasps-everywhere!

Location is 5* could not be better, close enough to stumble home! If you still want to drink when you get back take advantage of 1 of the only 24hr bars in Kavos!

Beware of the reps when they get on the mic round the pool You will not be able to have a nap! Otherwise its great fun.

The room was very basic, two beds pushed way too close together which is rubbish if you want to bring someone back to your room.

Staff were OK and generally helpful, although don't eat anything out the welcome pack because they charge you 10 euro when you check out.

The toilet was tiny with a tiny square for a shower which you had to hold above your head, no hot water either which really doesn't feel that great first thing in the morning. On the whole the room was OK because you really don't spend alot of time in it anyway, but it could be improved.

Plenty of places to eat and drink, the hotel location is excellent because you are in walking distance of everything so after a few too many drinks you can pretty much fall into your room from any of the bars.

Entertainment is spot on, there is something for everyone to do from clubbing and drinking to watching latest movies or going to see the hypnotist if you want a quiet night.

The excursions are pretty expensive but its worth it because you do have a good time and fills up your week with loads of different things to do.

The Reps are cool, kind of slow and not very organised but they are great for a laugh once we get going. The stories they tell you are well manky but so funny!!

I would go back to Kavos and to the Odeyseus hotel but I think its better suited for large groups of people rather than two friends or couples.

One warning though you will get eaten alive by mosquitoes, especially in your bed so if you go take plenty of insect repellent.

Was kind of clean but as a group of lads and one girl we didn't really care how clean the place was cos we spent most of the time out.

Pool was very nice especially at 4am in the morning apart from one of the hotel guys shining a torch in our eyes telling us the police are coming if we don't get out.

Food was ok Johnny the barman was funny with his lovely thought provoking words.

Didn't like the way we got fleeced for every penny, sunbeds cost us, so did every event nothing is free.

Absolutely awesome time in Kavos!!

The rooms themselves are basic but clean, the maid came almost every day and generally did a good job. We were lucky as our room had a large bathroom, complete with a bath. The shower is a bit tricky because you've got to hold it yourself but you can easily get a hot shower depending on what time of the day/night it is!

Just make sure you don't tuck into your welcome pack, costs 10euros! and check nothing is broken before you do anything, so that you don't get charged for it when you leave!

The pool it quality, great music playing all day. Our room was not right next to the pool so we didn't get woken up by it!

The 24 hour bar gives a great atmosphere with a legend of a barman! You do have to pay 2euros for a bed but you get a free bottle of water (more if you're clever enough to sneak them out the fridge)

The location is great because it's just on the beginning/end of the bars so you're a 30 second walk from the nightlife but the noise doesn't keep you awake til 6am!

I would definitely recommend the Odysseus to stay, it's got a great location, atmosphere and eventhough it's basic, it's clean.

Hope you have a good a time as we all did!

In short, if you are looking for a basic place to crash after a night out and somehwere which provides entertainment during the day this is perfect. The rooms themselves are fairly average, with a very simple cooking area, bathroom and beds. The hotel itself is quite spread out, streching from the bar area around the pool to above the bar next door but all roomsare really quite close to one another.

Cleanliness wise, i think that the hotel was lacking a bit. Although the maid came everyday the room was still dirty and the sheets and towels did not get changed throughout our stay, but as i said earlier its a basic place.

Staff were friendly at times but downright ride at others, but very easy to talk to most of the time and provided most of the amenities that you would need.

Location wise, i would say that the oddysseus apartments are some of the best situated in Kavos. Right at the beginning of the bar strip close to places to eat and the major clubs. Also the good sections of the beach are only about a 10 minute walk away.

So to sum up, pros:
- Amazing location with anything you could neeed walking distance away.
- 24hr bar at the pool
- All rooms have the avaliblity of aircon (49€ per week i think)

Cons:
- Little unclean but bearable
- Music starts at 8am every morning which seriously starts to get annoying after a week
- Rooms have to be vacated more than 12hrs before pick up for flights

However i would still stay here again, due to the friendly atmosphere andgreat location.

We stayed in the room’s opposite and above the Net bar. This was a fantastic spot as you were out of all the noise from the 24hr bar but still close to the pool and bars etc.

Cleaners didn’t do any cleaning and sheets and towels never changed at all during our week, glad I was not there for two. Other staff were polite enough but not very friendly.

Reps were all fantastic and made sure they spoke to you all the time, always checking your ok etc and even became one of the group. They all worked really hard to ensure we had a great holiday and made us all feel really welcome, keep it up Zoë, Jay, CJ, etc.

Rooms were very basic but what we expected being a 2wentys holiday. We didn’t eat in the room as we were on holiday so ate out every night.

You do get charged for sun beds, air con and safety boxes so make sure you take extra money for it. Mosquitoes are about but if you have air con they don’t come anywhere near your room.

No entertainment as such just the trips put on by 2wentys--these were expensive and can be found cheaper elsewhere, but they are worthwhile doing with 2wentys as you get to know the people in your hotel (and others)and make your nights out very exciting. Lots of new friends can be made on the trips.
Really glad we did them all although the pool party was also carried out for free back at the hotel which was a bit annoying.

Would go back to the hotel again just maybe not Kavos.

The hotel its self was quite good all you needed but just not of the best standard. The rooms were small, the shower had no curtain or a hook so you had to hold the shower whilst washing.

The hotels got a great pool good for getting to know everyone before the nights out also has a 24 hour bar which is great johnny the barman is a legend.

Room was clean but needed some repairs.

Aircon in room but you have to pay an extra 34 euros if you wish to use it. Safety deposit boxes available but again an extra 20 euros to use.

Sunbeds around pool cost 2 euros and if you wish to stay in your room later on the day of your departure that will cost you an extra 15 euros per person (minimum 30 euros per room). Consider all these extras when booking because other hotels/apartments offer some of these extras for free. The food was OK for snacks.

The location was good for the beach and bars and there is a taxi stand directly opposite. The female staff were OK, friendly enough but the male staff were a bit ignorant.

I only met one of the Twentys rep, Zoe, very nice but not up to the standard of other reps I have met on 18-30, Escapades holidays. Entertainment was basically the same CD played over and over again, starting at 8am at full volume which doesn't go down well when you have only been in bed for 2 hours.

So basically OK if you get a cheap deal but if you are paying the full price I would try somewhere else.

I stayed in the Odysseus in June July 06. When we arrived we had to wait to be booked in for about half an hour not very good when you have been travelling all night.

Staff were very friendly and helped a lot when you needed a simple question answered.

Rooms were quite small but was expected as it a 2wentys hotel. They were very basic but ok. It’s only somewhere to stay so I weren’t bothered. The only bad thing was the sheets were never changed once the entire time I was there.

Location of hotel was very good right at the start of the strip. Nightlife is excellent so good I've already booked to go back sept the 4th same place and same hotel.

I definitely recommend this hotel it’s the place to be.

Do not stay in the odysseus unless you want to buy your own bath towels, toilet roll and bed sheets and get eaten alive by mosquitos.

We didnt get any clean sheets for the full week we were there - even though they were dirty. As for the towels how on earth do they expect us to dry our bodies and our hair with one hand towel?

Had to go and buy three beach towels - two to dry with and one to put on the bathroom floor cos there are no shower curtains.

Oh and there isnt a hook to hang the shower on so you have to wash and hold at the same time. Kitchen was a shit hole - still stuff left in the fridge from whoever stayed there before us. Needless to say we ate out all the time.

The only good thing about it was the fridge to put the alcohol in! Plenty of alcohol needed if you want to sleep. Music played and people shouting and screaming 24 / 7. And its not just one song either, different songs throughout the hotel and all you can hear is boom boom boom cos its too loud for the speaker system. If you dont get a headache from a hangover, youll certainly get one from the music! Make sure you take some CDs aswell cos they play the same CD every day about five times.

Location of the hotel was good in relation to the strip. Bars and clubs right on your door stop so you dont have far to stagger after a night out!

Hotel satff not very helpful at all. Only helpful when they want your money!! Oh and the brochure stated there was air conditioning at a price but they fail to point out that it is only in three rooms.

I definitely will not be staying in this hotel again.

When we first arrived the hotel looked gorgeous, then we went to our rooms- they were so basic, beds were solid to sleep in, kitchen equipment was not cleaned properly. Everything was falling to bits. You only got one supply of toilet roll the whole two weeks, we also only got two towel changes the whole time as well - and they were tiny.

The pool area was lovely, nice and clean.

You get absolutely eaten alive my mosquitoes at night so be prepared for the first night with all types of repellent.

We didn't eat out the kitchen as it was horrible.

If you break anything even if it's not worth much you have to pay big fine's.

The staff at reception are so slow. Jonnie the bar man takes tips with your change all the time.

A lot of people at the apartments reported break-ins, we were OK though. There is noise 24/7 but when you have been out drinking you can sleep through anything.

You have to pay 2 euros everyday for a hotel sunbed at the pool.

The reps were great, but your half skint after the first day if you book all their activities. Good fun though.

We have booked up for the reunion in November in Skegness- so that should be fun.

I would not recommend this hotel to anyone as it's far too pricey for what you get. I would not go back.

Me and my sister stayed in the Odyseuss in September would definitely recommend.

I found the hotel clean, it was basic but fine if that's all you're expecting. Only problem was the shower, only has the base and you have to hold the shower head, water does soak the bathroom but it dries out and the cleaners mop it. Had a really nice balcony to relax in the sun and the music from the pool bar didn't really bother us.

Pool is great. Barman is a bit pervy but really funny. Gives you alcohol for being thrown in the pool, which normall happens about 4 in the morning!

Location was great, right at the start of the strip.

Twentys reps were good fun, normally turned up late for pick ups but no big deal.

Recommend this place for groups of friends and anyone up for a laugh.

When i first arrived at the Odysseus hotel its looked like a very clean respectable hotel, but when i walked into my room i coudn't believe it.

I was welcomed by a dead cockroach on the floor, the room was tiny and insected invested, with a bedroom, toilet room and a kitchen. The kitchen was small with a plug in hob, a fridge and 2 cuboards, very small i definatly didnt cook anything! The bathroom small agen, no shower curtain ment water went every wear and finally the bedroom, 2 beds and 3 draws, Me and my partner was looking for other hotels when we first arrived but just ended up staying there. Every hotel is near the main street so its bound to be noisy, but the hotel its self puts really loud music on 24 hours and our room bein on the ground floor we had no sleep.

For the would rate the hotel at about 1 star, the pool was ok i would give that 3 star the food and drink are expensive so 2 star, in total i would rate this a 1 star hotel, worst hotel ive ever stayed in, if u go there remember ur insect spray and plenty of sheets and towels of your own.

We arrived at the apartments at around 4.30 in the morning, Charlie the rep showed us to our rooms, which consisted of a "kitchen" - I mean a plug in hob and a fridge, a loo and a hole in the floor for the shower, and 2 beds in the room which were quite comfy. When we slept in them.

After arriving we dumped our bags and went to have a look out the front. It looked like a ghost town but we soon found out over the week that it wasn’t, Johnny the barman was a bit pervy but very entertaining, throwing you in the pool at all hours, he couldn’t be bothered to cook anything but there’s a great snack bar over the road.

The reps were a bit rubbish, too busy entertaining themselves than us lot. But would definitely come back here again

The Odysseus was a good hotel, the reviews were pretty spot on.

If you stay in a hotel like this you'd expect it to be basic (being a 1 star) and noisy, and it certainly was noisy being in the apartment above the bar, 24 hr music and people in the pool at ALL times.

The room itself was huge and very clean, but I can't say the same for all the apartments, painted orange and green, small and smelly! But we had 2 large bedrooms, 2 balconies, even an attic (quite dusty though) but good if you need somewhere else to sleep!!

The apartments were the ideal place, right at the start of the strip of bars.

The hotel staff were average, some nice, some not.

Very hard for them to make food as they couldn't be bothered! but the bar across the road is excellent and cheap.

I would go back this place again, only if we got the same room! It was a great girly holiday, exactly what you'd expect

I have been to Kavos 5 times, I stayed here on my second trip to Kavos and I thought it was ok.

I stayed in the first building opposite the bar, there was a fair few steps to drag my suitcase up but the staff did help.

The studio was clean, quite spacious and everything worked.
it also had a kettle which is amazing for Greece let alone Kavos.

My view was on the street but I only paid late deal price so I didnt care.

I think the location is great its set right at the begining of Kavos a little out of the noise but close enough to walk to the bars in high heals and not break your ankles.

The pool is clean and there is a small snack bar which was fairly priced but the food is much better at the Net bar I also found the little old woman at the snack bar a little scary.

I also had the chance to look at someone elses room this was located right next to the pool, it was not as nice as mine, it was not clean, it had green slime all over the kitchen, the bathroom had lots of broken tiles the toilet backed up every time you flushed and the door which faced the public pool didnt lock.

I am glad I didnt have that one.

The reps were lovely and the location of the appartements were a two min walk to all the bars - I recommend staying here!!! x
