This was the first holiday we have ever booked directly with the owner, and booked flights separately and we can honestly say it was the best we have ever had.
We first stayed in this hotel in 1989, the rooms were new, and the resort completely unspoilt, in fact very basic. We looked up the hotel again last Oct when we were staying in Ovacik, and we are so glad we did.
The family who run it, Mr and Mrs Yalcin and their son Eric are still there!!
We stayed in a self catering, 2 bedded apartment. This comprised of 2 bedrooms each with an ensuite, a kitchen and dining room and a hallway. Our bedroom had a lovely 4 poster bed, and the other was a twin. Both spacious, and each room had its own balcony overlooking the pool area. The apartments are very new, and therefore immaculate. Fab air conditioning too!!
The hotel is set back from the main resort of Hisaronu, and is very quiet, but only 5 mins walk away from the main shops, restaurants and bars. Its in a lovely setting with mountain backdrops all around.
The staff are extremely friendly and really want you to enjoy your holiday. We stayed for the Turkish night which was fabulous, food and entertainment excellent, a really good night.
We also had snacks at the hotel during the day, and ate Sunday dinner there, all were very plentiful and good value for money, service was excellent.
Drink and food at the hotel are reasonably priced, you can get beer and food cheaper in resort, but they were not overly different.
This is a 5 star hotel, with 5 star staff, who work very hard to make sure you have a great holiday.
Everyone we met bar a few had stayed there many times before, which was an advert in itself. We made some great friends, and as it was a small hotel, had a really family atmosphere!! Much more personal than a large complex.
The send off we got, was great, if not a bit tearful!!
BUT we will be back, we have already rebooked for 2 weeks next July, cannot wait to return!!
