| said: Got back late last night and had a great holiday at the Fan. It was recommended by a friend who stayed there last year.
The room cleaning and fresh towels are sorted every other day and the cleaners do a thorough job. No sign of roaches in the area and only a few mossie bites in our group.
A friendly dog and cat patrol the area which I believe belong to the owners, pet lovers will enjoy the dogs company as it comes and lies beside your sun lounger in the pool area during the day.
The pool is not as good as others we visited due to the lack of a shallow end. It has a small half moon toddlers pool but the steps into the main pool lead straight into 6ft of water and thats as shallow as it gets so beware poor swimmers.
The pool area is lovely, plenty of loungers available and some sunny spots so no need to get up with the larks to put a towel on a sunbed, some still do this embarrassing exercise only to find they could have had a good spot and sun loungers any time of the day as it is reasonably quiet at the fan. It appears to be used only by those staying there.
The bar is very under utilised, good meals, snacks and drinks available at decent prices but nothing happens there at nights. Its a pity because it could be a little goldmine. No particular comment to make about the staff, they do their job but thats about it, not unfriendly but no real chatacters amongst them.
There is a supermarket just across the road, slightly more expensive than the ones on the main road but handy for essentials. The bloke in there is always happy to chat and always has a smile and welcome when you go in.
The apartments are a very short, safe walk to and from the beach at any time day or night, and just about in the middle of the main drag of Stalis.
Most families will have a good stay at the Fan and we would go back sometime if we head back to stalis
