Excellent, can't say enough about this place, great position, only 5 mins walk to centre, 3 supermarkets only 2 mins walk away.

Very clean, very friendly staff, cleaners, bar staff especially OZZ from Wales great fun.

Only bad point Poolside bar very expensive for soft drinks, beer and spirits and food.

Rooms were great, poolside view only 10 meters to the pool.

Don't hesitate to book the Montana all over excellent.

Just arrived back from a week at the Montana club apart hotel in p.d.c. in Lanzarote.

We arrived on the 11th at about 8.30pm booking in was very quick so straight to our apartments, which were very clean and had all the stuff we needed.

The poolbar food was also good and the staff were polite.

It's location is great it only takes 5mins to walk to the strip where everything is beach bars etc.

There is entertainment at the hotel but it dose not start till 10pm and ends at 1am, we will return to the Montana club again as we had a great time and everyone we spoke to said the same, so well done First Choice and the Montana club.

We have been to the Montana Club apartments many times now. The rooms are cleaned daily by very friendly ladies.

If there are any problems with anything they are very prompt to respond. The location is so ideal. It is in a nice quiet spot but then if you want bars, restaurants and night life its only a short walk away.

The entertainment was good the first year but has gone down hill a little since. But despite that it can't be that bad because we return every October.

My two friends and I are 17 and wanted a fun holiday in the sun. It's not Ibiza but it was definatly lively enough for us.

The Montana Club is a really nice hotel for the amount of money you pay, the apartments are clean and spacious and although there is no air conditioning, we found leaving a window open kept us pretty cool. There are a mix of young people and families but it seems to mix well, there was never any rowdiness at night or drunken problems whilst we were there. Everyone is really friendly, especially the waitresses in the restaurant, we stayed half board because I don't think we could really have been bothered cooking properly. There was always something good to eat on the buffet, whether it be the most gorgeous lasagne, tuna pasta, selections of meat or tasty salads. The sausages on the English breakfast were particularaly addictive!!

The two pools are really good aswell, they may not be massive but they certainly allow for abit of a swim. I would advise people to put towels down on the chairs early in the morning in peak season because we got up late on some occasions and had been pipped at the post to the good sunbathing spots.

There is nothing I would say that could be improved and after hearing horror stories of young people's holiday accomodation on various television review programmes we were pleasantly suprised.

The cleanliness was ok in the room.

The location was really good only 3 minutes or so from the main strip!

The hotel staff were great receptionist was a really nice person, the bar workers were great too always cheery and spoke to everyone.

I loved the entertainment especially ABBA REVIVAL they are great and worthwhile watching. The girl who plays the blonde haired abba girl actually is Frankie who sings on a saturday evening she too is brilliant!!

I must say I would not come back to Montana Club for we had cockroaches in the room and a dog barked early in the morning all the time and woke us all up! The pool is very deep over 6 feet I personally think it is too deep for a holiday pool!

This was an excellent apparthotel in a super location just a stroll down the road to the strip.

The beach was in walking distance too, it was lovely, safe to swim in. My sons Jay (17) Adam (14) found there was loads to do, very lively at night lot of bars and eateries.

There was entertainment on at hotel which was very good we would definately return to this hotel a good time had by all.

We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment which had 2 bathrooms it was up 2 small flights of steps which was not a problem to my parents aged 70. We were told by staff that they only had 1 x 2 bed apartments and it was the best apartment they had as it used to be 2 single hence (2 bathrooms) I would recommend the Montana to friends but would say that in high season with no air/con it would be very warm, in November this was not a problem.

There are 3 nice cats which are always around and they seem to be the best fed strays I have ever seen, they will also follow you into your apartment with little encouragement.

We found the bar a bit pricey a large lager which was not a pint was approx 3 Euros, a pint overlooking the sea at a bar called THE PLACE was only 2 Euros with a fab sea view for free. (Both also serve strongbow)

If you hire a car, parking is no problem

Plenty of sunbeds for all.

Reception open from 8am until 9pm with a security guard at other times.

The location is only a 5 min stroll to the main road with bars, restaurants & small beaches (Which do not have beds to rent) and a 10 to 15 min stroll takes you to the main nightlife & larger beach complete with beds to rent.

One thing I nearly forgot to tell you is at 4.30pm the bar holds happy hour which you can have draught beers & a selection of about 5 or 6 local shorts 2 for the price of 1 you cannot miss this because the barman puts on some loud music & blows a horn to let everybody know, the music was loud for approx 10 to 15 mins then faded (no problem)

Fab apartments we don’t often return but the Montana would be a strong candidate for a 2nd visit

We recently stayed at The Montana Club after being moved by our rep from the Atlantis Las Lomas apartments because we had no hot water.

The Montana Club was a ray of sunshine, they had hot water, the apartments were modern with excellent self catering facilities and very clean.

We stayed in a ground floor room directly opposite the pool, they were spacious and well maintained.

The staff were excellent and always willing to help.

We only stayed here for 3 nights but would definately recommend The Montana Club.
(only negative comment is that the pool does have alot of chemicals used in it - so would recommend some goggles!)

This was our 2nd visit - previously visited christmas 2000 and had a really good time - would not hesitate for a 3rd visit.

staff very friendly and elkin behind the bar really makes the happy hour - keep blowing that trumpet boy !!

the entertainment needs changing though the duo singers arenales or something were there the 1st time around and she fancies herself too much - get rid and get fresh entertainment.

a nice 5 min walk to sea front past a pizzeria and a bar - very pleasant

weather in august though 47 degrees - too hot phew the rooms need air conditioning. the things that were free though on our first trip are now being charged for eg. umbrella at the pool, mattresses for the sun loungers - come on guys.

lovely place though and would recommend a vist to el rancho texas watch out for those low flying eagles though.

Have arrived back from a pleasant holiday in the Montana.

Our accommodation was marred by a huge tree outside our apartment which cut off any view for us. The settee was extremely uncomfortable, godness knows how it felt for children to sleep on.

The food in the hotel was excellent but they did not have a lot of takers. There were only 15 people or so on half board, the others had to pay 19 euros each for an evening meal, needless to say people ate out much cheaper. The food itself was excellent.

The entertainment was not great but there were a few around the bar.

The swimming pool was kept very clean. We enjoyed ourselves in Lanzarote, but mainly because we hired a car and got out and about.

I'm 12 Years old and this hotel is great for kids all ages. There are 2 pools but one has a baby pool in for the little ones. The hotel has 2 pool tables, a pool bar and a restaurant, which is located under the hotel. There is also a cinema screen for the kids. The entertainment is good. There are parrot shows, karaoke and some others.

I went on this holiday with 6 of my friends and we were very impressed with the accommodation. It was very clean- fresh towels every second day etc (although the maid ended up giving up on our very untidy apartment by the end of the holiday!!!! Four 18 yr olds, what can you expect?!) The rooms are spacious and I think our two apartments (4 of us in one and 3 in the other) were practically the only ones which did not have a pool view- which didn't bother us anyway since we were hardly in the apartment.

I only saw one cock roach in the apartment the whole 2 weeks and that was one the last night, so if any of you are like me and very scared of creepy crawlies, you have nothing to worry about!

We always managed to get sun loungers at the pool, although in saying this we were there in mid june and just as we were leaving, the resort seemed to be getting much busier so maybe loungers are harder to come by in high season.

The pool bar was nothing special, food was ok (all toasties) but not very good for vegetarians, if you are like me!!! The receptionist was fairly friendly, although I think she thought we were pulling her leg when we had to report two problems with the apartment-1) Half way through our first week our extractor fan above the cooker started stinking of fish, and even after the maintenance men fixed it, our apartment smelt foul!!!!
2) Our door handle broke- we were only able to open it from the inside- quite a safety hazard.

The hotel also had internet access (1 euro for 12 mins) which came in handy since most of us were awaiting our uni exam results which were being posted on the web!!

The hotel location is about a 10-15 min walk (longer if you're wearing heels) to the main nightlife strip. This does cause a bit of a problem when returning home from a nightclub when you are drunk and tired!!!- We sometimes got taxis though which were only about 2-3 euros!

The entertainment was a bit timid for our liking and seemed to never have many spectators. I think there was Karaoke, a parrot show and cabaret singing. I can’t really comment on any of them since we never went to any. The only thing which the hotel had of interest to us were televisions showing the Euro Cup, but you could watch this on your room TV anyway.

All in all, we were very impressed by the Montana apartments; only thing we would have changed would have been the location- Closer to the nightlife!

We stayed at the Montana in the first week of June, 2004, booking the holiday about 6 weeks before departure. I found the hotel generally very clean, with the pool and surrounding areas being cleaned and well maintained each evening. Being half board, we ate in the hotel restaurant each evening, and although there was not as much choice as some of the larger complexes we have stayed in there was something for everyone and the food was of good quality. The weekly barbeque, free for half board guests, was particularly impressive and went down a treat! The location was good, only about a 10 minute walk down a steady slope to the main resort. But ladies, be prepared and pack some flat shoes as heels aren't really suitable when walking very far as there are some slopes and pavements are not very level. Staff were on the whole polite and friendly but the entertainment was not excellent, maybe suited better to older couples. One suggestion I would make to the hotel is to provide a luggage room, as there isn't one, and luggage has to be left in the bar, which can be a bit choatic on departure. Also, there is no allocated courtesy room to freshen up before your flight home. But we found if you ask your rep or at reception, a free apartment was provided.

Having returned from Lanzarote 4 days ago i am still in the holiday spirit and much of this is from staying in the montana. This is my second trip (and not last)to Lanzarote, and this is by far the better of accomodation. The last time i stayed at the Atalaya Apartment, absolutely nothing wrong with them. The apartments were clean and spacious, the staff curtious and polite, the location (as a family) were excellent, although a hell of a lot of stairs if you were on the second level so therfore not so great!!. The Montana is only set on two levels, a short walk from 3 beaches, (do not believe what the brochures say, Playa Grande beach is not the nearest, it may have all the usual trappings there are nearer ones that are more like large coves but you can let your little ones run and still keep site of them and the beaches do not shelve so quickly as the main ones and are safer for paddling and the locals use them so that is saying something).. I agree with further reports that the entertainment on site could be better but if you wanted that then you would book to go somewhere else, but bear in mind that if you travel with any of the first choice companies, you can use the facilities of the Aquamar hotel, which is located just over the road, which has a childrens club (which is payable locally at a very reasonalbe 3 Euros and hour), entertainment and so forth.

In conclusion, my family and i booked this 6 weeks prior to departure and met various families, couples returning to this particular complex not just for the second time and in my own opinion would have extremely hard pushed to find such a hotel/ apartment complex if we had booked as far in advance as the brochures come out and been as happy as us.

Just as a point to note, we were staying on a self caretring basis but did become friendly with a family who there on a half board basis and were very happy with the amount of choice there was on offer of a breakfast time and an evening. The food was hot, again the staff curtious and a bar to boot.

All in all an extremely enjoyable holiday.

High recommendations and i would have no problem returning there again.

I can not failt this property the food was great they cooked you what you wanted fresh of the grill the bbq was great so much to choose from and well dessert eat you heart out. The complex was always so clean and tidy and all staff were great to us and made our holiday one to remember. Entertainment was abit cheesy but it certainly was a laugh. Iwould recommend this complex to anyone close to the sea front, close to the centre and close to the night life but not that close that it would keep you awake at night.
