On the south-west coast of the island, Laganas beach has shallow waters and fine sand making it perfect for children. Famed for the Loggerhead turtle, during July and August females come ashore and lay eggs in the sand. If you want to see the turtles in their more natural habitat, there are glass bottom boat trips.
