| said: we stayed at flora 1 from 10th-24th sept and we enjoyed our stay. we went all-inclusive, partly because of the strength of the £ to the euro and we were pleasantly surprised with the good standard of food which was available at meal times. always plenty of choice and plenty of it. the complex was clean and there was plenty of cleaning staff and maintenance men around who always seemed to be busy. the staff, (bar,waiter/ess,reception) were all excellent and carried out their duties in a professional manner. pool was good with no problem getting sun-loungers, maybe that was the time of year, but no complaints. animation team did their best. usual bingo and quizzes and different shows at night and water polo and shooting during the day. some people a little impatient at how long bingo and quiz were taking, but as there were different nationalities there at the time Lewis/loui? was doing it in 3 different languages (spanish/english and german while we were there)so should've been applauded really.
would go back again, but not so sure I would enjoy flora 2 as much which was across the road or via the under walkway (tunnel). only because the bar and restaurant are at flora 1. don't let the idea of a tunnel put anyone off, it's an underground, brightly lit walkway between both complexes.

| said: We stayed at the Flora Apts.1 week end of july begining Aug. Very nice friendly Staff. Food average but edible bit samey. Entertainment mainly for kids but quite fun. Drink was suprisingly good for A/I. Main pool area very good tho sunbeds were in short supply (early morning wake up call needed!) Bar shuts at 11pm but that was ok by us (just got a few extra at last orders)The only fault, and unfortunatly in 50degree heat its huge! No Aircon! theres no ressbite from the heat even in the shade or at nite! My Girlfriend slept on the balcony to try and alieviate the heat of the Apt. but dont think it worked. id recomend it to anyone but in high season i wouldnt go back its just sweltering hot. One minor thing if you dont get towels changed after a couple of days, Ask! because they seem to only change them when you do. The Apts. were a bit of a walk downhill to the old town and quite away from the beach and main strip but Taxis are everywhere and quite cheap. All in all a nice place to go for your holiday espcially with kids ours is 13 and she made loads of friends which is always a good thing

| said: This hotel is a great place to stay, it's close to local shops and some great resturants, the appartment that we stayed in was close to the pool and over looked the sea, which was a good ten minuite walk.the hotel it self is very clean and tidy, the staff there are very good, and very nice to talk to, the only thing that did come to my attention is that the edge of the pools are slippery, so take care when walking around them, otherwise fantastic place to stay, only used the hotel resturant once, not bad, we eat out most days, there is a great pub/ resturant called the crafty cow not to far from flora does a great full english breakfast, and evening meal. would recomend to anyone.

| said: We originally booked as half board but upgraded when we arrived as it was really good value for money to do so. The hotel complex was clean and tidy just a few issues by the pool with broken glasses as my daughter got glass in her foot one day.We found the food to be tasty and varied, great salads and cold meats at each meal. My youngest found the food hard to eat as he is very picky but my older daughter was up for trying most things and ate very well. By the end of the second week though it got a bit repetitive so we enjoyed some really cheap snacks in the bar to break it up a bit. Hotel staff all seemed friendly enough but were that bit freindlier if you spoke a bit of spanish. Entertainment for the kids in the day was good fun around the pool, the kids club was ok for the younger kids and some fun shows on the night, especially the entertainment team shows very funny!! Some shows (reptile show, bird show) were repeated second week which was a bit boring cos they had already seen them the previous week. Remi, inga and jim were fantastic and fun and seemed to really enjoy being with the kids. My kids loved them!!! they made our holiday! I will visit again just to see if its as good second time around but this time i will ask for a room near to the pool as we were right round the back and had trouble getting a sunbed most days as they were all booked with towels.

The place was exceptionally clean and the staff worked very hard to maintain this standard.
The breakfast was okay and the snacks and lunch menu great but if you want a proper english and dinners I would recommend the purple turtle about 5 minutes walk, we ate there every morning and evening.
We hired a car through flora appartments who collected us and dropped us back at the end, so location was not a problem.
The poolside entertainment was brilliant fun even if you were not participating! We were out every night so I cannot comment on the evening entertainment.
You can also hire almost everything for a fair price. The sandwich maker was a definate hit after returning from the bars late!!!

Iscka and Janine very great with the kids but my daughter was upset as there was nothing for the teenagers to do and she was the only teenager there.
Iscka was lovely to everyone and very very very nice as the same was Janine.
The bar staff were all miserable except one who kept the whole place going.
The evening's were never boring and very entertaining. After being there four times I think we have visited as much as we can but may return as we grew very close to Iscka.

| said: Good value 2 star hotel, but location may be too far away from resort centre for many. Positioned at the top of a long steep road approx 15 mins walk from the quieter harbour area and the start of the main resort area. 45 mins to an hour walk to the other end of the main strip, good excercise but boring by the end of 2 weeks. Get taxi back, only 2-4 euros. Some nice restaurants in the harbour area with a modern shopping centre not very far away.
Had a few problems with the maid service, missing us out, not changing sheets often enough and not leaving enough towels. Complaining at reception had mixed results, sometime immediate action sometimes had to make repeated visits. Rooms and facilities good for a 2 star, so good value for price. Some creepy crawlies but no cockroaches, and spray provided in room.
Had buffet breakfast for a few days, good value at 3.50 euros. People on AI complained of lack of choice some days and rude bar staff especially to children. Very limited choice of ice creams etc to AIs.
Real problem with lack of sunbeds and umbrellas, one morning all towels were removed and dumped in a pile.
Entertainers good with smaller children, but no much for teenagers to do.

Also had to wait half a day for a fan I had hired and paid for in advance. Also a slight problem with cockroaches but spray was provided! Hotel staff on the whole were helpful.
Didnt have much to eat at resort as we were s/c but snacks were reasonably priced. Supermarket ok but slightly expensive as you would expect.
Entertainment provided by Iscka and Andrea was good and catered for everyone. Iscka was brilliant and my kids loved him! He was a very popular bloke amongst all the holiday makers and had time to stop and chat to everyone.

Cosmos rep Danny excellent , he took us out twice to the local drag bar Flannigans, this was a brilliant night out. Not for the easily offended but definately worth a visit. Would not go AI again as the food was not very good and you can eat out for about 5 euros each. Pool kept clean every night. Maid service every other day. Not much for the teenagers to do, but Puerto Del Carmen town never sleeps so a 10 minute walk and you can party all night. Papagayo beach is a must and a well kept secret (lots of nudity mmmnnn !!!) you will need to hire a car to get there. Volcano trip a must, and the caves.

Whilst staying at the Flora I must say we had a great time, the apartments were clean and tidy as was the rest of the Flora.
The entertainment team Andrea and Iskca were absolutly fantastic they always kept the kids and ADULTS!!! entertained and were always there if you needed them.
It was nice to see the pools cleaned daily and that the staff were always testing the pool throughout the day.
The bar staff are friendly and get to know the names of people very quick.
The apartments are situated at the top of a hill but don't be put of by the reviews that say it's very steep, we only used that hill twice in the 2 weeks and that was to sample the bars at the harbour.
All in All we had a fantastic time and are already looking at going back in november but to sample the All inclusive.
Happy holidays

| said: Just returned from a 2 week holiday at Flora appartments.
Stayed in a studio, a little small but very clean.
Our doors opened up to view the pool area, the quieter pool, pool was cleaned every morning. The rooms were cleaned on a daily basis.
We ate in the restaurant for breakfast one day which was only 3 euros each and there was a very good selection of breakfast, from cooked to cereal to meats and breads, teas coffees and fruit juices, as much as u wanted of anything. We had a snack at the pool bar which was good value for money, toasties etc.
Entertainment was poor, they couple did a Grease show which was diabolical, they were miming but could not even get that right! They did not do anything to get anyone going, in the day they were too interested in throwing people in the pool! BUT that was the only downside to the complex.
There is a underpass connecting both sides of apartments, dont let this put you off, its very well designed and well lit. Reception very friendly staff.
Would not hesitate to book again, but would go for a appartment as has a look round one and were lovely.

| said: Hiya just back from Lanzaraote. Had a great time in the Flora apartments. Would definitely return. We were greeted with excellent English speaking reception staff. Rooms are very spacious and kitchen equipment was excellent which was what we needed with a young baby.
As it was very warm and there was no air conditioning we rented a fan that was great value for money. The beds were two singles that were extremely comfy. We had a room with a pool view which was brilliant.
The food at the pool was good value for money. The supermarket was quite expensive so we done our shopping down the road. As the apartments are situated at the top of a very steep hill its best to pay the extra and buy your water at the apartments.
The pool was quite slippy and we seen losts of people slipping. So be careful.
There was also entertainment most of the day at the pool. The island hopping tour to Feurteventura was an excellent day out and was very resonable.
As we went allocation on arrival we were very pleased with the standard service and value for money we recieved

| said: The hotel was very clean, the pool area especially. The rooms however, were quite shabby and the studio we were in was very cramped.
The hotel is split into 2, and we were in the quiet side over the road from the main building. The pool on that side is very deep and not suitable for young children. There were nowhere near enough sun loungers for the people staying there with many people just lying on the ground! The noisy side was literally that, music blasting out all day, and the entertainment staff doing "morning campers" all day, ok if you like that sort of thing!
The hotel supermarket has extortionate prices. Lack of air-con in August was hard but you could hire fans from reception.
Food was basic/limited choice but hot and varied.

We were given a room close to reception which was handy.
We had our 2 year old daughter with us ( her first holiday ) and I have to say that their kids entertainers Alan and Jaap were the best anyone could ask for, they even showed us round the area on their day off.
All in all I would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay there again when in Lanzarote.

| said: When we arrived at apartments we were greeted well, but the room we were given was not with a good view ie looks over a road. We asked if we could have a different room with a pool view. No problem we had to wait an hour and half.
We had the apartment for 4 which was right on the complex, if you have a studio for two you are across the road. The apartment was very spacoius and clean.
The entertaintment tried to do there best, but like us we went out at night to look around Lanzarote.
The food was lovely, value for money. I was worried we were going to have a long walk up, but that was no problem at all. Road not steep at all.
If you wanted you could always get a taxi from reception which took 10 seconds to arrive,(as taxi rank was right outside). This cost pennies to go to the old town, and a couple of quid to go to the new part.
I would go to Flora again without a doubt.

| said: We travelled to Puerto Del Carmen at the end of January 2005 expecting to have a relaxing week in the sun, instead the weather was miserable!
First impressions of the Flora apartments weren’t too good. Firstly, when we arrived we had to wait in reception for around 20 minutes as we were told our room wasn't ready yet. This wasn't actually too much of a problem but when you've been up and travelling since 5am you just want to settle in to your room.
The apartments are in two parts and our room was in the second half, which was over the road from the main part of the complex which meant dragging our cases over a fairly busy road. We later found out that there is actually a tunnel that runs under the hotel and the road.
The room itself was very basic and smelt a bit musty. The bath leaked every time we had a shower, however we did not actually report this problem so it’s probably unfair to complain about it now. The room didn't not have any air conditioning or heating and as we travelled in January it was freezing at night. Also, the sleeping arrangements were two single beds pushed together we couldn't even keep each other warm! The maid seemed to come in most days and she was very friendly. Towels were changed every time she came in. Overall the apartments were kept very clean.
As we travelled in January and the weather was rather cool, we did not make use of the pool or any other facilities at the complex.
The hotel was in a fairy good location. Although it was about a 15 minute walk to the main resort centre (restaurants, bars, beach) this wasn't a problem as we didn't go back to this area after the first day.
The harbour and the old town with its numerous restaurants are located just a few minutes from the Flora apartments. This is where we spent most of our evenings mainly because of the great seafood restaurants!
Overall we had a great holiday in Lanzarote and a pleasant stay at the Flora apartments.

| said: Just got back from the Flora Apartments 1/11/04.
Weather great around 30c in the day and around 22c at midnight when we were getting in, had 2 very light showers in the morning near the end of our break and one heavy shower one evening while out.
The apartments are very spacious, one bedroom and have an L shaped sofa in the living area suitable for kids. The maids came in most days and changed the towels and bedding was changed twice while we were there. Excellent service from the handymen around the complex when we reported the electrics out caused by a blown bulb somebody was with us in less than 15 minutes.
We were in room 109 which is ground floor by the pool which was excellent to be able to nip back to the room whenever we needed anything.
The pool area is quite large and there are plenty of beds to go around. The pool varies in depth from 0.9m to 1.9m with a seperate pool for small kids. The only problem with the pool area was that around the pool was painted white and when this was wet it became very slippery and quite a few kids fell over.
We were s/c so I don`t know what the food was like in the restaurant but there are plenty of places to eat in Puerto Del Carmen.
The apartments are at top of a steep hill but about halfway up the hill is The Purple Turtle which is an ideal stopping off point for a rest and a cold drink, they also have some good acts on and will stay open as long as people are buying drinks.
Overall I would say these are excellent apartments in a quiet location but not too far away from a range of shops and bars.

The apartment was very basic but suited our needs as just a base as it were, we went out nearly every day and visited family staying near by. The cleaners were out every day and the apartment was kept clean and tidy with the lineen being changed twice and the towels three times a week. We hired a car as it is the "last" one on the route so to speak at the top of the hill, if you walked down you would be ok, but after an evening of partying and sangria even the fittest of people would find the hill a challenge. The entertainment was great, Josh and Pablo the great duo act kept us entertained and the Happy Half an Hour was different to say the least, 11.00pm till 11.30pm buy one drink get one free but be there early to beat the rush.

| said: We arrived approx 9.30pm to a very pleasant surprise of a very nice and large reception which is manned 24/7 by English speaking staff.
We were last off the transfer bus as this accommodation is at the far end of the resort and quite a distance from the centre and also quite a hike up a hill to get to.
The hotel is however very nice and well set out with a large pool and area, its own supermarket and entertainment most (if not every) nights either on the terrace or inside with 2 well stocked bars.
The apartment was well maintained and equipped and a good size with a view from the balcony over the pool. Cleanliness level was high on arrival but only cleaned once while we were there and bedding and towels changed once also. Beds were singles and very comfortable and ample wardrobe space was found.
We had friends and family in the same resort at the time so didn't spend too much time here but overall would recommend it and stay again ourselves. The only downside being its location but taxis are widely available and a bus stop is situated 100mts away
