BRILLIANT! what a great time! We stayed on the 7th floor (and I dont like heights or lifts!)which I overcome.
There are many steps down to the beach front, not really suitable for the older person, but taxi's are very reasonable and the taxi guys outside the hotel are reliable too.
The staff were polite and very friendly and most spoke good English, if they didn't they tried to understand, I wouldn't say the food was appalling, but it was mostly labelled in German, I'm a fussy eater and I could eat well most days.
As for the entertainment it was OK, from circus acts to bingo to billiards contest(animation team were very trying).
The poolside bar was great and so were the staff, especially happy hour 2 cocktails for the price of one! bargain!!(just watch the pool when staggering to hotel).
The cleaners deserve a big praise they changed our towels and linen daily and were nice and jolly(they deserve a tip)
Overall this hotel is very clean and I would certainly come back again!
I would recommend this hotel.

| said: The hotel maids were excellent, it was a very clean hotel (They even folded our nightwear under our pillows).
The food was labelled in German not English, although if you ask they will explain. Breakfast consisted of toast, egg (cooked in every way you can think off) and meats, cheeses etc. Lots of fruit available also. If they had bacon, mushrooms and tomatoes it would have been fantastic. Please read this - the chef at Eidelweiss.
To get to the beach and main strip we had to climb down two sets of steps (we counted 118 in total!) Not good for the elderly. Fantastic exercise!
Hotel staff were very efficient and friendly. Kristina makes the best coffee.
Unfortunatley we went a bit early in the season; entertainment was just starting when we left. The computers were just arriving and the nightclub had just opened.
There were plenty of sunbeds to go around and at no charge.
All in all a good hotel!

| said: We stayed here for a one week. The hotel Edelweiss (4 stars) is very beautiful, but is situated on the hill - not for older people.
The individual air-condition is perfect in very warm days.
The rooms were cleaned every day.
Food in hotel restaurant was excellent - many vegetables, 4-5 mixed salads, 3-5 kinds of fruits, meal for vegetarians, 3-4 warm meals, good deserts. The breakfast was 8-10 a.m., the dinner 6-8 p.m. constantly was the meal complemented.
The entertainment was almost nothing. Only 2 young singers sang with a piano after dinner. We walked every night to the center.
