| With its lovely views, charming accommodation and friendly, family-run atmosphere, the Hotel Poseidon must rate as one of the most appealing places to stay in Positano. The hotel has evolved from humble beginnings in the early 1950s, when the Aonzo family from Genoa decided to rent out a couple of rooms in the beautiful summer villa they had built for themselves amid orange and lemon groves. Little by little, the villa was expanded into the impressive hotel it is today. The family still live here and continue the tradition of providing genuine, unobtrusive hospitality and creating a relaxed easy-going ambience.
