| said: This is the 3rd time we've stayed in Bulgaria and would recommend this hotel to if you require a fairly quiet location with no reps bothering you to join in day time activities.
The rooms are very spacious but basic, clean and safe and cleaned everyday without fail.
The mini bar in your room are very reasonably priced and the maids refill and keep a check on what you've have had throughout your stay.
In this hotel there is no entertainment and not much goes on in the disco either. However close by there are loads of resturants/bars etc to entertain you and the family..
The staff in the hotel are very friendly and we experienced no rudeness from staff (like a previous review). The staff in the resturant went out of their way to cater for the english and my father who is allergic to gluten. They prepared extra meals and even served them directly to his table andthen kept checking everything was okay. The staff advised is you dont see anything you like to ask and they will make it for(especially at breakfast.
The downside to this hotel is the breakfast, they do seem to cater for Germans, Swedes, Dutch, Russians etc (mainly sausages) but to be honest if you asked they made you other things.
The food in the hotel is very good, which varies everyday. My children are 16,12,11 and tried everything and enjoyed the food. As for the sweets, these always went down well. No funny tummys at all.
The pool service is great and as long as you give your pool card to the attendant he will bring you hotel towels and take you to a bed (or find you one). However, we spent most of the time at a swimming pool straight across from the hotel which hs a inflatable trampoline(in the water) and water slides.
The beach at this part of the resort is great and not as crowded at the other end. There are always beds available at a cost of 6/7levs each for a bed/matteress and parasol.
Things in Golden sands have increased in price since joining the EU but the prices are still cheap -large beer is 3.(£1) levs and cocktails are 6levs(around £2) and happy hour tends to be very popular now(last year not so many doing this offer).
I would go back to golden sands again next year but we have aleady booked for Turkey (5*) may come back the year after that. The weather was between 86 - 107 during the day (there was a heat wave )and cool at night (needed jacket/cardigan). great for everyone for sleeping
love Golden sands(harbour side), the beach the weather, loads of places to go to eat and drink.
I would recommend this for family's/couples. if you want more to do you can get the mini train to the opposite end of the resort(remember to get the train from the far end of the fishermans village as its get very full by the time it reaches this hotel)

| said: Stayed at Lilia Hotel spotless, cleaners on the go constantly.
Stayed bed and breakfast, much the same every day but ok. Ate out at night food very cheap and good quality loads of choice.
Nice pool not huge but ok no problem with sunbeds as the pool attendant polices them so you can't just go and stick towels on and leave them for the day he will remove them if you do not use the bed, so we had no problems getting a bed.
Location at the quiet end of Golden Sands but away from the noise but about 10 mins walk to the centre or get the little train costs about 70p. Across the road from the beach and not too many steps down to the main road, beware other hotels state 50 metres to beach but don't mention you have to climb a mountain of steps.
Staff at hotel all very friendly and helpful.
No entertainment other than a TV in lobby bar but plenty outside hotel at bars and restaurants

| said: The Hotel Lilia is a wonderful hotel. Our room was spacious, carpeted, mini bar, table chairs, large beds, large tiled bahtroom with bath with shower over plus hair drier.
Two pools with which you were supplied with two clean towels, sunbeds and matress were given to you each day by the two pool lads. Internet was available in the hotel and 24 hour service from hotel staff together with a medical centre and shops. Access to your money via the safe deposit boxes 24 hours a day too.
The restaurant staff and food were excellent with a variety of choices. We had the early sitting for dinner (6.30 p.m.)which suited us as we like to walk off our excesses in the evening.
We thoroughly recommend this hotel to anyone who wishes to have a safe, clean, friendly hotel for their holiday.

| said: The hotel was fabulous.
It was cleaned 24 hours a day and the reception were available to help at all times.
The bell boys worked hard to make sure that you did not have to do a thing. The staff was all very helpful and we were always greeted with a smile. We had no problems what so ever whilst we were there and the food although some what different to English cuisine was gourmet and the restaurant staff were wonderful.
The rooms were spacious and air conditioned and the bathroom was excellent.
There wasn’t really much entertainment in the hotel but the resort more than made up for that.
The pool areas both main pool and rooftop pool were excellent and fresh towels sun loungers and mattresses plus an umbrella were provided each day.
The internet is available in the hotel as were newspapers and a postal service at the reception.
The lifts were in good working order and hadn’t broken down once in two weeks we were there.
We hired a safe which was extremely convenient and we had access to it 24 hours a day.
Everything about the hotel was fantastic and I can’t urge anyone enough to go there.

| said: The hotel was fabulous, spotlessly clean and airconditioned, the public areas were spacious and immaculate.
We found the food to be as good as any in the resort and the dining room was airconditioned making it very comfortable to eat there.
We had a choice of times to eat 6.30/8.30 and there was live entertainment every evening whilst we were eating.
The hotel is situated just across the road from the beach.
The staff were helpfull and friendly and there were even two guys who placed towels on your sunbeds for you which were washed and replaced every day.
There was plenty going on in the resort which and even though it was busy it always felt safe.
