| said: Stayed at this hotel in May 07 with my husband on an all inclusive basis travelling with MyTravel.
Clientele - predominantly Dutch, German and French with a few British and Eastern European (I think!). Some families with young children but mainly couples in their 30's, 40's and older but this was outside school holidays.
Decor/cleanliness - a newly refurbished hotel, very clean with very tasteful,contemporary furnishings throughout.
Pool - clean with variety of sunloungers. Had read on hotel website mattresses were chargeable but we were never asked to pay. Reserve your place by 7am if you want to sit by pool. Towels can be hired from reception for 20TD deposit returnable at end of holiday. Can be swopped daily. Pool Bar from 10 till 5.
Indoor pool and gym (unattended).
Beach - hotel directly on pleasant beach with loungers and parasols. Seaweed cleared by tractor in the morning. Sea shallow at first but can be a bit rocky at water's edge.
Bedrooms - twin beds pushed together, fridge and tv showing BBC world. Plenty of storage space and a safe in wardrobe - this is payable at reception but worth it for security. Bathrooms modern, clean with hairdryer and shaving point.
Food - stayed on all-inclusive basis. Main restaurant has generous choice of fresh foods. Vegetarians could cope here (always fresh pizza and pasta stations) but do check the salads as sometimes fish or meat is added. Themed restaurant is available once per stay - quiet with beautiful view of sea. Pizza and crepes available in the afternoons.
Location - next to Hasdrubal Hotel. A few restaurants and shops in easy walking distance. Taxis always available outside hotel - metered and reasonably priced.
Staff efficient and friendly. English is not their strongest language but British are new to hotel. Room maid charming.
Entertainment - stretching, water gym and aerobics (challenging!)provided by animation team at pool. Music loud for these activities only otherwise pool quiet. Evening entertainment provided in purpose built room with stage, tables and bar. Thought evening entertainment very poor.
Would happily returm to this hotel for a quiet, inexpensive break. The sort of place to take plenty of books and a pack of cards!
