The hotel is very well situated and is next door to the more well known Ambassador Hotel which has a revolving restaurant at the top with superb views of Mumbai.
The room was very spacious and very clean but fairly basic. The toilet was very clean with a good shower and there was also TV in the room. The beds were a little uncomfortable probably because the mattress is very thin.
The staff were very pleasant & helpful, the reception is on the 5th (top) floor.
We did not eat there at all so cannot comment on the food.
It is very well situated being near Churchgate rail station and as usual there are plenty cheap taxis waiting outside to take you anywhere. The main restaurants in Mumbai are in the Coloba area only a short taxi ride away (around 50 -70R). However, if you do stay there try the Tea Centre just along the road for breakfast or lunch, it has a great selection of teas and good food. There is also a shop attached to it where you can purchase the selection of teas.
At night there are a few bars around and a night club called Not Just Jazz by the Bay which has a live jazz band most nights and is wonderfully air conditioned. Also try Mocha Bar near the hotel for a wonderful range of coffees.
Would definitely recommend the hotel to anyone looking for a reasonably priced clean and well situated hotel in Mumbai and would use it again if returning to Mumbai.
