| said: Booked this accomodation via expedia. We had read that it was located 25 steps from the beach however is in fact 79 steps down a steep cliff, which in the hot weather is quite a climb.The hotel is located about 1 km from the village of Olhos de aghua and is therefore a bit isolated.The guests were mostly portuguese families with young children. The pool kept the kids occupied and was never busy, most days they had the whole pool to themselves. We never had a problem getting sunbeds at any time which made a change. The rooms were cleaned daily however the sheets were only changed once a week and with no a/c they should really be changed on a more regular basis as the rooms became very warm at night. The staff were very relaxed to say the least however were helpful when needed. The hotel would not change travellers cheques which caused a bit of a problem therefore we had to use our cash cards. There was no entertainment on at the hotel. We had a really good week and would visit again possibly earlier in the year when the nights aren't as warm. If you are looking for a nice quiet break and dont mind a bit of walking i can recommend this hotel.

| said: The Club Maria Luisa is extremely clean and well looked after. The grounds are very well kept, the decor is slightly old however it is pleasing on the eye.
The apartment was always well cleaned by the cleaners and had all the amenities of a home from home! The apartments had all that was needed to conduct a self catering holiday, even a washing machine if you didn't want to take dirty clothes home!
The staff were friendly, the main reception wasn't always manned however the man in charge was never far away!
There's a main swimming pool (quite small in size) and a smaller kiddies pool, bar, restaurant area, snooker tables, games machines, internet access. There may have been a small gym (as advertised) but I didn't bother to find it!
The location of Club Maria Luisa is in a predominately residential area of Olhos D'Agua, approximately 15-20 minutes walk to the main beach and restaurants and approximately 10 minutes taxi drive to Albufeira Old Town.
Great complex, couldn't fault it at all. Had a great holiday there and would happily go back! If you want everything on your doorstep, then it's not the place for you, however if you don't mind a bit of walking when your away then I would recommend Club Maria Luisa!
