| said: We booked our rooms through thomascook and our flights with Globespan. When we arrived at the Cerro Malpique 11 Apts the staff were very helpful, they helped to carry our cases to our aprts and supplied us with maps and advice on getting around. The aprts were spotless and the cleaners came in every day always very cheery. The apts must be the largest i have seen, the balconies were massive plus we had a sun terrace of our own.I must admit the location of the aprts at the top of a steep hill was a bit of a minus but there is a very regular bus service that stops just next to the aprts which runs from the old town centre getting down to the centre is only a five minuet walk

| said: After tavelling abroad for three decades Cerro Malpique 2 was a real find. The apartment was very well suited to our needs, and were kept spotless by the cleaning staff. Our apartment had three balconies to laze about on or eat alfresco.
There is no bar (no late noise), though the old town centre of Albufeira is a five minute stroll downhill, it is a little bit of climb back up(taxi's are cheap enough).
Reception is at the nearby malpique 1, and we found the staff to be helpfull and friendly.
The kids loved it as the pool was not crowded and it was again a short stroll to the beach. All in all a nice relaxing holiday and we will be going again.

| said: We arrived at the hotel the weather was nice. Although it was on the top of a hill so every night we went out it would take ages to get up the hill.
I have never been away before where there was not a bar all they had was a few cans of beer behind recption which were walm.
The pool was not that big.
The staff were not helpful at all.
The only good thing about the holiday was when we went to recption to change out travelers cheque we gave the lady £100 and she gave us £200 back she did this twice and never did anything about it.
The maids came in the week they were very moody to.
Overall the holiday was ok but we wouldnt go back again.

| said: Stayed at Cerro Malpique II, fantastic apartment, one of the best i've stayed in and I have been travelling for over 25 years.
Location a problem if you're either elderly or have walking difficulties as it is on top of a hill. That aside, for a couple "perfect"
Very peaceful and relaxing, staff were very pleasant unlike some of the reports I had before we travelled. Room was cleaned to a high standard Mon - Fri.
Overall I would highly recommend for couples or families but not elderly.

| said: Cerro Malpique II wasn't the 4star accomodation advertised by direct holidays. It is the first time I have been anywhere, where there is no bar (unless you count reception with stale wine, warm beer, etc). Besides there being no bar there was no restaurant nor entertainment.
The location was terrible at the top of "heart attack hill" and there was only one restaurant and shop in the vicinity, nightmare!!
Staff were rude and very unfriendly.
