| said: The hotel was spotless and the staff were lovely,the view was amazing,it would be hard to find a piece of dirt around,the food was ok, but if you were in a place like goldsands you wouid'nt want to stay in the
hotel for a bite to eat from the many their is outside.If I were to choose a hotel in golden sands my first choice would be there.

| said: The hotel is like a new shinny penny ,bright,spotlessly clean and well maintained.
Its reception area is of stone a marble and it has three lifts to all the floors (one glass lift outside)
the hotel has a sky bar which is a bar on the roof excellent on a warm night with a clear sky...wow!
The rooms are large and air conditioned with large balconys the rooms have mini bars and a tv.
Food........well its the only let down,I as a chef myself found the food boring tastless and on most occasions cold...and for a hotel that is by the black sea I never saw any fish on the menu?
They use a buffet system with shaffing dishes which do not keep the food hot enough....I was very dissapointed but with the price of eating out so cheap....I did!
On the whole a cracking hotel to stay not to eat.

| said: The hotel Sofia is amazing - Very very clean, staff all very polite and helpful and friendly!!
We spent most of our days by the pool, as you could relax and chill out - If you needed a drink you didn't need to leave your sunbed as there was always a couple of ladies walking around asking if you required food or drinks - They certainly worked hard.
The food in the hotel was okay even if a little bit repeated - an awful lot of veal - but we did manage to get something every day.
The Irish bar served lovely food and drink if you fancied a change from the hotel restaurant - The staff here were very nice and helpful.
We would certainly go back here again and again.

| said: The hotel Sofia was everything that i had read about.
It was absolutley nipping clean, with the cleaners seeming to be working 24 hours a day.
The pool was massive and excellent for our two kids as there was a small one with it. Lovely little poolside bar, where you could sit and watch the pool area where the kids play and know they are safe. The seats in between the swings and the pool were our favourite, as we could keep an eye on the kids no matter where they were. Also always at least one life guard on duty.
If there was one little snag, it was the food. It wasn`t that it was bad it was just a bit boring at times, and catered more for the Euorpeans more. However if you are like me, you can always find something to eat.
The staff were great however, and couldn`t do enough for you. All in all, one of the best hotels i have ever stayed in. Certainley recommend it.

| said: Visited the Sofia Aug/Sept 04. The hotel is right in the heart of the resort making it ideal for the beach and for shops/nightlife. Immaculate standards throughout with our room being cleaned daily. The hotel has 5 bars,poolside,terrace,lobby Irish pub and for the late nighters the skyline bar on the roof ( 10pm to 5am). Found staff to be friendly and helpful. Only downside was the food which caters more to its German/Continental guests, however most nights you could get something to suit. Irish pub did do good food more to the English palate and if all else fails a visit to the fish and chip shop 40 yards away did the trick (£1.60ish for fish and chips, nice they were too)

| said: Couldn't believe our luck when we drew up at this hotel. absolutley fantastic. Room was excellent plenty of room. the whole complex was spotless. Staff extremley helpful and friendly, paid special attention to the children.
Just a short stroll from the beach and the main resort. Pool area brilliant at least two life guards on duty at any one time. Drinks and food served by the pool if required. Food in hotel wasn't the best it was better in the irish bar down the stairs. Staff in irish bar really friendly and attentive without being over powering.
Not much entertainment but it was good to relax after walking around the resort at night. Have been to the hotel since and have just booked again for next summer.

| said: The Sofia hotel fully deserves it`s 4* rating and is always spotlessley clean.The rooms are quite well appointed and have air conditioning.The rooms are serviced every day,the bedding and towels being changed.
The swimming pool is very large and and is cleaned regulary and have lifeguards on duty to ensure the kids are kept safe.The only complaint here is that you have to pay for your sunbeds and umbrella.
The choice of food was quite good, although it tends to be slanted towards the german taste.There is a bar in the beautifully appointed reception area and an Irish bar downstairs which also serves good food.The poolside bar also serves meals and snacks.
The hotel is in the busy part of Golden Sands but since our room faced the beach, no noise could be heard at night.It is also just a couple of minutes walk to the fabulous beach.
Entertainment in the hotel is limited to some shows for the kids, but there is music every night in the Irish bar.
We would certainly visit this hotel again.
