| said: Stayed at Los Zocos for a week, overall the hotel was great, been to Costa Tegiuse before so knew what to expect from the resort. The staff were really friendly and helpful. I took my 10yr son who was greatly enyertained allday everyday the animation staff worked really hard to keep the kids entertained Georgie was particularly great. There was a great choice of food the only thing i would say is that is was luke warm sometimes even cold. The hotel itself was clean and the room was cleaned and towels changed almost everyday. The entertainment was ok the hotel worked hard to make it entertaining. All in a great stay i would recommended this hotel for family's mom and dad can relax has the kids are well catered for.

The food at Los zocos is apsaloutly amazing and the bolovard food is particually best. There is non-stop entertainment with activities running through the day and night also the entertainment in club aquamarina is exspecially good as there is a different act on each night soe including the audience.
The staff are the best in the world and you amidiatly feel part of the family with speacial recemendation to jesse teairee agnus and adrian.
The hotel is very clean with maids coming round every day.
this is the perfect hoice if you want a perfect holiday.

| said: we stayed at loz zocos, we went for 14days,
we arrived at 1am,reception looked nice, thought it unusual to see a cat sleeping on furniture but never thought any more about it,
we went to our room to be greated by some nice frindly cocroaches.
as i am astmatic i went back to reception and asked for another room,,next one was better....or so we thought.
on further inspection we found the mattress protector was urine stained,so we took it off the bed,and found the mattress to be worse,we turned it over and it was same both sides, needless to say we slept on top of the quilt.
in the 2 weeks we were there the maid did not change the sheets or bedding.
we did always get clean towels 5 days a week.the appartment wasnt cleaned very well so we asked for a dust pan and brush and did it our self,
the balcony was mopped once on the second day and thats it.
when we arrived we were self catering, but because the cooking utencils were very limited we could not cook vey much,as eating out was so expencive for a family of 5,we had no choice but to pay to change to all inclusive.
the meals were average, sometimes we didnt know what we were eating as in the evening nothing was labeled so we used to go for the nicest looking food we could see and hope for the best,
meals were often luke warm but you could heat them up in microwave..drinks were ok but sometimes a little flat.
the staff in resturant were brill, the maid was jolly,
we found one of the adult entertainers very rude and disrespectful,do not allow your children to use lazer toys or you will get this entertainer coming up to your child and shining it directly into there eyes to show them how dangerous it is.
we will never use this resort again

| said: My husband and I (both in our 60's) stayed at Los Zocos for 1 week in September and we had a great time. As I am a wheelchair user I emailed on ahead to be put on the ground floor as there are no lifts, sadly when we arrived they had put us on 3rd floor but quickly moved us to an empty 2 bed apartment for the first night and then to a 1 bed apartment in one of the refurbished blocks from the second day. This apartment was really comfortable with a lovley big bathroom. There was a TV which we had to pay 3 euros per day to get some sky programmes. There was a fuul size fridge and a 2 burner hob. Also there was a microwave and an electric kettle. All the cutlery and crockery you would need if you were self catering.
The only drawback was the
at there is no air conditioning, but you can hire a fan for 18 euros for the week. The problem with this is that you have to carry it from room to room and the one without te fan in the room is very very hot.
Blocks 1 and 2 have been refurbished and are far nicer than block 3 so try and email before you go to request a refurbished apartments.
All the staff were very friendly helpful and efficient. We found the food to be excellent and never had a disappointing meal all week. We ate in both restaurants and found The Boulevard more to our liking as there weren't children running around. The Mirador was more for children as was the entertainment in there.

| said: We all had a fantastic time at Los Zocos. Our room was very clean, well presented and equiped saw 1 cocroach all the time we were there. Our room was 2127 newly refurbished and the balcony had sun all day and was large enough to acomodate all our inflatables!!! Tip take some pegs for your washing it gets very windy. The reception staff were a little slow at times but were helpful when you got there attention. fantastic pools and i think all rooms have a pool view. The food in all 3 restraunts was fine, in the buffet restarant the food was a little cold by the time you got to your table but that was ok for us.( they do have microwaves in the restruarant for you to use) El boulevard was great nice setting and food lovely. You do need to book at 10 in the morning but it's worth it. The pool bar serves your basics Burger chips. ice cream, hot dog's so on.. Entertainment is poor in the evening for adults you get the odd bit thats good but the early evening is centered at kids aged 4-12 Disco, games and the like. They serve at the bar till 11 pm. No smoking main room and they have a smaller room if you do with a bar which is easer to get served at, as the other gets very busy. I think most of the guests were All inclusive but i did see some people upgrading whilst there. There were no umberellas around the pool i think that was because it was so windy (very windy) mabey it would be better if they had some that were solid and would'nt be blown over in the wind. They do have around 6 or 7 at the quieter pool but they are very tatty and are always taken by around 10:30. We did struggle to get sun beds, its like survival of the fitest to get one, they do lock them up till 10am but you can understand why, when people put towels on them and go out for the day (Yeah, you know who you are!)All in all we had a fantastic time, we never ever go back to the same place twice, and we are not very easly pleased but we would defenatly go back again in fact im thinking of booking again next year and taking my Mum and thats saying somthing.

We had a refurbished apartment on the first floor, which was well equipped and all that we needed.
As we were Self Catering we never used the Resturant once whilst there.
Have to say we only used the Entertainment Area 3 times in 2 weeks, and apart from Grease we found it all to be a little tacky!!.
Only complaint regarding the Swimming area was,as it was really hot NO PARASOLS were supplied and for little ones i feel this is a MUST.
The maid service was EXCELLENT and also the Groundsman kept the areas IMMACULATE.
Would deffo go bk to this Resort and Hotel as it is within easy reach of the Beach and Resturants.
FANTASTIC TIME HAD BY ALL, JUST A REAL SHAME WE HAD TO COME BACK TO THE GOOD OLD ENGLISH WEATHER.

| said: Hi There
Just come back from holiday with family at Los Zocos Club Resort in Lanzarote. Really good holiday. The Room was clean. The maids changed the sheets and towels almost everyday. Kids enjoyed it as there was plenty for them to do. Being all inclusive we ate for the duration in both restaurants and found that the food was excellent. The only downside was that the entertainment at night lacked. It was ok for kids in the early part of evening but for adults it lacked. The animation team tried there hardest but apart from Starlight Express show needed more. During the day there was plenty for adults to do. Football,Volleyball, Water Polo but it was much of the sameness. All in all a grand holiday i would go back again as we met some lovely people but entertainment needs to be better and refurbishment of the main club has to be a priority. All in all forget the doubters i recommend it 100%.

| said: We made the most of relaxing at this hotel as it can be a bit boring-it was an excellent place for very young children. The entertainment in the evening was dire, but the little kids enjoyed the mini disco in the evening (we did not venture into the kids club so can't comment there). Went swimming once as the water was too cold for me and him, dreaded getting the sun beds in the morning, you had to be quick as you wouldn't get a bed (I'm sure we was being framed as it was really stupid) Why don't the hotels supply enough beds especially as there was enough and big enough grounds? It is very windy here and it was a pain to make sure nothing gets blown away. What the heck, you are on holiday you make the most of things.
The food was ok, I have had better and I have had worse. The drinks around the pool were awful and warm, the spirits in the evening did'nt seem watered down but I struggled to find something that was not harsh tasting, ending up at the end of the holiday drinking something I don't usually at home or abroad.
Used the El Boulevard twice, it has better food and a better atmosphere but became difficult to book up and towards the end of our holiday you had to pay per person to reserve your table, which I thought was a bit cheeky as we already paid for our meals.
The entertainment team did work hard though and were good - especially Adrian. The outside acts (not many)
were diabolical and more better quality acts were needed, after 11,00 pm it was finished apart from the nightly karoke - no real atmosphere here.
We stayed in block one overlooking the main pool, a nice room, nicely situated although when we checked in at one o'clock in the afternoon we had to wait a hour and half for the room to be cleaned. Big balconies but small bathrooms and all in desperate need of air-conditioning (and that goes for the bar/entertainment ares). Maid does a fab job and overall the complex is kept clean its only the holiday-makers that cause the mess because they cant be bothered to use the bins.
Would we go back - no, and we do like to try somewhere different

| said: Well where do I begin ? Just arrived back from Los Zocos and couldnt wait to share our experience with you.
Arrived at 1.30am got allocated two rooms when we arrived at both rooms they we being slept in! Yes people were in bed and we were in there rooms. This was in block 2 then got put in block three it is disguisting with no wardrobe doors and windows that dont lock. Finally got moved to block 1 two days later and these are lovely.
If you dont like cats dont go to this hotel as cats wander freely around and sit on the furniture in reception.
The food was very poor choice and you have to be in early for a little more choice and the entertainment was fine for younger children but was very poor for children over the age of about ten.
The facilities such as football can be dangerous as there are holes in the astro turf which my son got his foot caught and ended up cuttin his knee.
Finally most things were out of order at some point e.g computers, pool tables, also the small swimming pool for a short time.
Would not recomend this hotel to anybody.

| said: Arrived at the apartments around 1.30am and got dumped by the rep who quickly disappeared. Got booked in quite quickly but was absolutely mortified to find the both rooms that we had been allocated had young children sleeping in them (with parents) when we entered. I closed the doors quietly and luckily had not disturbed anybody. Imagine the scenario, waking up and a 6ft 4" man is in your bedroom. The night manager quickly made his apologies and stated it must have been a computer error, but when I asked who was in the room he could not answer, because he did not know. Having two children myself, this did not make me feel very confident about staying in these apartments.
After a short while and a check by the security guard, we were evntually taken to, two rooms in block 3. If you are going or thinking of going to Los Zocos and you have standards, I would flatly refuse to stay in this block, you will know what I mean if you see blocks 1, 2 and 3. How first choice can sell these apartments from their pictures is beyond me.
The food is of a very poor standard and is the same day in day out, the breakfast is probably the only paletable meal I ate. The El boulevard restaurant is of a similar standard to the El mirador(same food, same bland taste).
The apartment grounds need a good clean as there are plastic cups and litter everywhere and that is amongst the numerous cats dotted around the place, but like the advert 8 out of 10 cats prefer it. The brochure adverises two pool bars, unfortunately one of the bars had shutters down for the whole week we were there. So if you stayed by this pool you had to trek to go and get a drink.
Please do not let me put you off Los Zocos, but everybody has standards, I spoke to people who thought it was great, but that just say's that my standards are higher and spending a week in a canarian pontins doe's not appeal to me.
Entertainment (No Comment) all's I will say is Owl Show

| said: We booked this holiday 2 weeks prior to arriving. On arrival and (after taking advice from previous reviews regarding email the hotel and asking for an updated room), we were given a very nice, clean and airy room. We originally booked self catering and then upgraded to All inclusive on arrival. In Hindsight we would have stayed self catering as the prices in teguise are cheap and the quality of drink especially is far better and the bar areas lack atmosphere.
The hotel is nicely situated at the far end of costa teguise.
The majority of apartments have been updated, however the dining room and the bar areas are in desperate need of a makeover.
The food was good with a good choice available everyday. Getting booked into the other restuarant on site became a real pain as guests were booking at reception at 5 am the day before the wished to visit.
As usual the 'sunbed war' mentality started when the hotel started to get busy as the kids holidays arrived.
The staff at the hotel are very helpful.
The entertainment team are very hard working and do a great job. Whereas the evening entertainment left a lot to be desired.
Even though we enjoyed our stay I dont think we will stay in this hotel again as it was manic when the hotel was full.

| said: Myself and my husband travelled with our children and my parents.
Having booked our flights with jet2 and our accommodation through Alpha Rooms. We had booked a 1 bed apartment and a 2 bed apartment and had asked for these to be close by.
When we arrived the booking had gone through as 2 separate bookings meaning we were in different blocks.....without me having to ask the reception reorganised this and put us as close to each other as was possible....which worked in our favour as we both ended up in block 2 which has recently been refurbished.
We booked self catering and upgraded to All inc for part of our stay. The all inc was 28euro/adult and 15euro/child, under 7s free. Minimum booking 4 days.....so we had 4 days on, a few days off then another 4 days on....this gave us chance to go out and about.
Apartments: The apartments were spacious and niceley furnished....the balconies were quite big with a washing line (take some pegs!!) The 1 bed apartment had only a shower but this was large and easily accessible, the 2 bed apartment (apparently all on ground floor) had a bath with a shower over. The apartments were lovely and clean and were wiped over and clean towels 5 days a week.... I think the beds were changed twice in our 2 week stay. The kitchen was adequately equipped with fridge (with freezer compartment), hob, kettle, microwave and toaster. (When the apartments are cleaned after departure the maids wash all the kitchen equipment ready for the next people)
There was plenty of wardrobe space with about 8 hangers in each room. Spare pillows and blankets were in the wardrobes.
Checkout is at 12 midday you can try to keep your room but can only arrange this the day before you leave if there is availability....and it costs 6 euro an hour!!! There is a courtesy room though and if you have valuables you need to leave they will keep them behind reception for you.
The Complex: The areas were kept nice and clean and the pools were nice, there was lots of space round the pools, as others have said sunbeds were locked up until 10am which was quite good.....but people still reserved them and left them empty for hours! There were parasols but not many and because this resort is windy they blew over easily.....there are shaded areas though. Of the 2 pool areas we used the smaller quieter one....there was less of a rush for sunbeds and it seemed slightly less windy......it was also much quieter.....although more of a walk to the pool bar.
** Most of the sunbeds were cracked which could potentially be quite dangerous, so be careful**
The pool bar was okay with self service drinks and ice cream if all inclusive....also snacks available to order....toasties, burgers, chips. No food is allowed to be taken out of the bar.....they say this is to keep ants and cochroaches down. We did see cochroaches but only 1 or 2 a night, and always outside the apartments......check the bottom of the door before you go in you apartment though as they are sometimes just outside ready to run in if given the chance!!
The Aguamarina bar could do with a facelift.....there weren't always enough seats and it was a bit tatty.
There is a security lady who walks round the complex on a night checking open windows etc. which was reassuring.
Food: The food was okay......you could always find something.....as seems to be the norm they have lots of things but you end up with a mish mash of things on your plate rather than a meal! El Boulevard had a nice carvery and the pizza in there was lovely....also if you like chinese food this is the place to be. This needs to be booked the morning before (ie over 24 hrs in advance)
Entertainment: The entertainment was variable some of it quite good, some of it dire.....the animation team were very friendly and the kids had a great time.......the kids enjoyed playing pool (2euros a game) and there was also internet (1 euro for 10 mins)
They had a fun day with a boucy castle (free) temporary tattoos (from 5 euro upwards) balloon modelling (free) and facepainting (5 euro)and tshirt painting (6 euro), we were unfortunate that the temporary tattoo which was supposed to last 2 weeks only lasted the night! Unfortunately we were travelling home the next day so didn't manage to sort this.
There is a mini club which is in a shaded and fenced off area next to the smaller pool.....we didn't use it, but as we were often right beside it we could hear that the children were having fun.
Staff: the reception staff were very helpful, you were sometimes kept waiting while they were chatting, but your on holiday, what's the rush! The maid was lovely and friendly. The bar staff were okay, I wouldn't go as far as to say particularly friendly though, sometimes they were other times not. The animation team were lovely and friendly.
Overall a good holiday........we felt safe and relaxed. The complex is windy....but this was good as we didn't get too hot and sticky.....just beware you don't burn. The children had a great time. We would go back to Los Zocos.

We were advised when we arrived that as we were only half board we couldnt use the Boulevard Restaurant but during the second week we were told we could!!! A bit annoyed as the staff couldnt get their facts straight. The Boulevard was lovely, nice atmosphere.
Block 1 is the best, all refurbished and a great view over the pool. The staff could have been nicer, some were a bit grumpy! I bought a postcard at 4pm but was told that I couldnt have a stamp until 5pm!!!!!!!
Really couldnt comment on the entertainment as we were at the beach during the day and ventured out in the evening.
I wouldnt visit this hotel again purely because its more of a complex and a bit too busy for me full of teenagers hanging around at night.
All in all we had a great time, Lanzarote is fab.

We stayed all inclusive at los zocos which was ok for drinks all day but i have to say that the food at lunch time wasnt the best, same stuff, different day. Breakfast was really good though. Evening meal wasnt bad, although it was very repetitive. The boulavard is a must, food was to die for,no complaints at all, but be early to book this 24 hours in advance.
The entertainment at the pool was great for adults and children, animation team are brill,my 6 year old son loved them.Entertainment at night really needs sorting out, what a load of rubbish. Some of the bar staff were quite rude to all inclusive customers, virtually grabbing your cards out of your hands and slamming your drinks on the bar.
The location was pretty good, beach not far away, only across the road through a shopping mall. All in all it wasnt a bad holiday, not bad value for money.I think the evening entertainment really let it down for my family and i would honestly say it is good for very small children.I would not visit this hotel again

| said: We stayed at the hotel in June and we did enjoy it fortunately we were in block 2 right near all the ameneties which was great. I agree with other reports the rooms were cleaned regulary and of a good standard, the food was fine breakfast was the best meal of the day but the Boulevard was wonderful less hetic less like a canteen! We ate there most nights. The Aquamarine bar is very hot and stuffy would benefit from air conditioning and I should imagine if you have little ones then its great but my children wer a bit old for the 8.30pm mini disco but she loved the "Go West" dance at the end of the night and thought Adrian was the best at it. The entertainment team did work very hard and were very friendly making the effort to get to know you, especially Steve and Thierry! To sumarise we did enjoy our stay here and would go back but did find the nightime a bit hetic and and cramped and the staff were a bit unfriendly, I would also budget for a few meals out as the All inclusive does get a boring.

| said: We booked all inclusive because we spent so much on food and drink on other holidays plus I thought I needed a total break from cooking.
The food was lovely something for everyone the kids loved that they could choose anything they wanted, go to get a drink and ice cream whenever they wanted it was great.
We stayed at block 3 I don't think it had been renovated but it was absolutely fine anyway clean and everything you needed.
The pool was absolutely freezing in fact I could easily say that it spoilt the kids holiday they usualy stay in the pool all day when on hols but this time they were hardly in it at all.
The pool side bar was ok for drinks but the snacks and ice cream was horrible.
The entertainment was OK the kids enjoied the mini disco and some nights like the bird show.
The all inclusive closes dead on 11pm so get your drinks in early it dosent matter even if your standing there before 11 if its past 11 by the time they get to you you will be told no.

| said: After reading some reports about this hotel we nearly didnt come but i am so glad my husband talked me in to it. This complex is fab we have stayed in alot of large complexes like this with having 4 kids 15,12,7,3 its the kind of holiday we look for to keep the kids happy and they were the apts in block 1 were fantastic very clean maid excellent she tided all our bits and bobs up every day she went in even tided the bathroom bottles of shampoo and my sons toys in the shower. Food we thought was great help yourself to beer, wine and soft drinks which was a god send the kids could get their own when they wanted snak bar great pool great they lock the loungers up at night and when we were there they didnt open them till 10am which was good we got up had breakfast and then got loungers no rush no early get up some people were not happy about this but it fitted in well with us. They were'nt alot of umberellas by the pool when we were there and with temps at 105 we found it a bit poor but on our last day umpteen umberellas and bases were put around all the pools. I have to say we did see 1 cockroach but is was outside the bar and if my son had'nt of seen it and point it out then nither would I. We did see cats but if you ignored them they did'nt bother you the kids loved to watch the kittens but they also kept away. All in all it was a great place and a big thanks to Clare (scotland) from first choice she was a star she was so helpfull and fun we had a fab day with her on the Kattermaran (spelling ?) trip which I would recommend the kids and us really enjoyed it swimming in the see was cold but great it was so clear and the jet ski was fab would definatley go back.

| said: myself, husband and 2 children aged 6+4 have just returned from a weeks holiday at Los Zocos.
The hotel was absolutley spotless the maid cleaned our room 5 days out of the seven which included mopping the floors cleaning all windows and even sweeping up any leaves etc on balcony, then she topped it off be folding our nightwear on our pillows after she had remaid our beds!Through the whole stay we only found one cockroach which was outside we never found anything in the apartment! Yes there are a few cats but they keep themselves to themselves and wernt a problem!
The teams that work with the kids clubs work very hard to make sure each and every child has a fantastic holiday. My children personally didnt use them as they are water babies and spent the whole week in the pool, but you could see the kids club from where we were and every child was having such fun!
I cant really coment on the evening entertainment as we were that shattered from the day we didnt really venture out on the night!
The food was very nice with a good variety so that there was something for everyone. I do feel it got a bit repetative but for 56 euros a day including drinks and icecreams i cant complain!!
Overall we had an excellent holiday and would reccomend this resort to anyone. we liked it that much we will be looking to return again next year!

Staff were friendly all the time. They had Animation team around most of the day encouraging people (and kids) to get involved with activities. They were excellent. Always very friendly. Food was a bit repetetive, but always something for the children to eat. Overall excellent holiday. Great value for money.

| said: We have just returned from Los Zocos and totally disagree with the previous review. On the whole we all had a brilliant time. My kids are aged between 7 and 18 and the entertainment was fine for them all, the animation team work really hard to make sure everybody has a great holiday. All day long they come round getting people to join in volleyball, football and suprise games!!! At night the younger ones love the mini disco and then later on there was karaoke which was a good laugh. Our apartments were cleaned 5 days out of 7 and the cleaners left clean towels on each visit. The staff were very helpful. There were some cats around the complex and 2 of them already had kittens but not giving birth around the pool!! In fact they were hiding their kittens out of the way under trees and bushes, and we were not bothered by them at all. The food was great, we had never been all inclusive before and we were a bit apprehensive about it. We need not have worried though as everybody enjoyed the food. I would definately go back to Los Zocos in the future and would recommend it to friends and I am not easily pleased!!

Location was good 5 mins form the beach shops near by. Staff were very helpfull. We flew with First Choice on a late deal we had the best holiday ever......the only thing that let the hotel down was the the bar it was like a Butlins camp bar but im sure it will be next on the list for a refurb.
Hopefully when we go again it will be differnt but dont be put off as there are lots of bars outside of the hotel which are good (The Cuttysark).

| said: I stayed in the Los Zocos for 7 nights with husband and two kids (9&5) during March 2008. Booked flights with First Choice- would not recommend them unless a bargain as seat spaces very tight!
Took Airport taxi, cost 20 euro and only took 15minutes. Check-in at Los Zocos quick and our Apartment was lovely Block 1 and 2 are the nicest.
You can upgrade to All inclusive for 23€ an Adult and 11€ a child 6 and over per day.
You must take a min of 3 days so we took 5 as we do like to go out a couple of nights. Your photo is taken and put onto a plastic ID Card. No wristbands!
Breakfast was always lovely (fresh bread and normal English bacon etc), Lunch usual soups, salads and selection of main meals.
All day 10.30-5pm snack bar which has all-inclusive section with help yourself local wine, lager, soft drinks and tea coffee machine. You had to order any snacks (hot dogs toasties, burgers and chips) from staff and show your card. Dinner was nice most nights but can get a little repetitive.
Fortunately they also have El Boulevard Restaurant which you need to book well in advance. This was slightly different as it had carvery section with Gammon, Beef, Chicken and Pork. They also had Chinese section where Chef’s cooked in front of you. There was no charge for us to use this restaurant on All-inclusive but I heard there can be at peak times so I would say there is not that much a difference to main restaurant to warrant extra charge.
Kids Club was 2 hours am and pm which was brilliant. In 3 Large rooms one with climbing area and ball pit. Although I didn’t use them Mini golf, tennis and football pitch looked fine.
Teen Club from 10 years up was often busy which is always a good sign. Unfortunately we had 5 days of very windy weather which although still warm during the day, it was very cold at night.
We were told it was a windy place but didn’t expect gales like we got.
Overall I would recommend this apartments for a good family holiday but be prepared for the wind.

| said: Me, My partner, our 2 friends and thier baby daughter (17 months) travelled to Lanzarote in March 2008 and did not expect any great weather. Luckily every day was hot apart from one which was abit over cast.
Upon arival at Los Zocos we were greeted with friendly staff who quickly got us booked in.
We went straight to our rooms which were in the 2nd block and were lovely. It was abit of a pain though as we were on the 3rd floor and had to carry the buggy up and down the stairs. The receptionists did offer to move us but we new that block 2 had recently been renovated so didnt want to take the chance. Also our rooms were right near reception and the restaurant and the club.
Pools were lovely although absolutely freezing.....there was no getting used to that coldness! So unfortunatley only went in the pool once. Pool for infants was really nice.
Food was lovely, especially El Boulevard which had a choice of chinese, carvery etc.
Children's entertainment was excellent. Adults entertainment was ok although it didnt start untill 10pm.
Lots to do durning the day, pool, bowls, rifel shooting and diplomas were given out the the winners in the evening.
Beach was a 5 minute walk along with the parade of shops. Pharmacy also close by which always helps!
Overall it was a wonderful holiday and would definatley go back.

There was always lots of varietys of food to choose from. The enterainment was ok however this started after the kids mini disco which was around 10 o clock. The hotel staff were very friendly especcialy in reception if you needed any help no need to hessitate.
The pools were very cold this time of the year (March/AprilO8) therefore was not alot of people in them. The accomidation has lots for the kids for example football courts, tennis courts, mini golf,5pools,Volleyball Court Etc. Overall The Holiday was very good and i would reccomend it to families.

| said: Our family group consisting of myself, Husband & 3 boys aged 6,5 and 3 arrived at Los Zocos via resort coach transfer, along with about 10 other families.
The reception foyer area was clean, bright and airy with plenty of seating. We were greeted by very helpful reception staff who efficiently and speedily processed everyone so we could get to our rooms.
We had a 2 bedroomed groundfloor apartment in block 4 which was clean, tidy and quite spacious, although a little dated (It had been refurbished but was not as modern as the rooms in the other blocks and had a very small terrace/balcony in comparison)
The maids cleaned 5 days a week - towels changed on each of these days and bedding twice a week.
The apartment could have done with Air-Conditioning, but all in all the room had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.
The complex itself had a very relaxed atmosphere and felt very safe, which is always a worry if you have children.
There were 2 pool areas within the complex, both were cleaned early every morning whilst we were there.
We tended to use the main pool area purely because thats where La Jaima pool bar was so the children could have a snack, ice-cream or drink whenever they wanted. Also thats where the poolside entertainment was (Kids/Adults activities, Mini-Golf, football court etc)
The pools were lovely (a little cool when you first got in but fine when you'd been in a few minutes) but there was a pool to suit all of us.
A toddler pool 50cm deep, One ideal for my children which was 90cm deep and a very deep pool more for the adults. We just had to be a little vigilant with the children as one end of the very deep pool was situated between the toddler pool and the one my children used.
We had no problems getting a Sunbed everyday and didn't see anyone getting up at silly o'clock to reserve one either, which makes a refreshing change from some other resorts we have been to.
We booked All-Inclusive but have to say next time will definitely book Self Catering and upgrade when we get there. Saving ££££££s.
The food was of a fairly good standard for a 3* complex, although like anywhere could get repetative, we only stayed a week so didn't find it so.
El Mirador Buffet restaurant - Full English breakfast, Continental Breakfast, also cereal and fruit. Lunch and Dinner, all were Buffet style.
We enjoyed the breakfasts each day, prefering to have a snack at the pool bar instead of Lunch here and only had dinner here on the 1st night of our holiday.(Thursday)
El Boulevard - You have to make a reservation at reception the day before to eat Dinner here, as this restaurant is also open to the general public.
(Closed on Thursdays)
This restaurant has a completely different atmosphere and a bar shaped like a Galeon Ship complete with sails.(I lost count how many times my children asked me to take a photo of them standing next to it)
The Chinese was fantastic and they had a great Carvery, lots more stuff for the children to eat other than the usual chips. Much of the other food was pretty much what was on offer in El Mirador. After eating here on the 2nd night we were lucky enough that the guy at reception booked us in for the rest of our stay.
Needless to say I have come home quite a few pounds heavier.
Evening Entertainment was held by the Animation Team in Club Aguamarina. The evening usually started with a Mini Disco then Bingo or Quiz or such like, Most nights the ENTERTAINMENT was Lacking. Sometimes there would be an outside proffesional Act......the Hypnotist and Drag act were Good.
There were plenty of other Bars and Restaurants close to the complex if you fancy a change. We found a Bar Cactus Jacks, we had a great late night out with a few other families that we met, and watched a drag act called Star Ladies- absolutely Fab- see it if you get chance.
The location of Los Zocos was Excellent, it was only 100m fron Las Cucharas Beach (not great if you are expecting sweeping golden sandy beaches, but then Lanzarote is a volcanic Island) which was just across the road through a small shopping centre, lots of bars and restaurants etc and a lovely stroll beside the sea to yet more bars and restaurants etc.
Supermarkets located next to complex and just across the road for anything that you might need.
We met some lovely families at Los Zocos........but one thing I will say, don't forget to take your E111 cards with you. A couple of the families needed medical treatment/Doctors and had to pay. Just pop into the Post Office before you leave the UK and fill out a simple form if you don't already have your E111.
We had an absolutely Fantastic holiday at Los Zocos and my Children didn't want to come home (we made some lovely friends)..........We really wished we had booked a fortnight instead of the one week, especially as they were all staying another week to soak up the sun.
We would definitely go back to Los Zocos!!!!!!

| said: Just arrived back from the los zocos and it was amasing. We had booked on a self catering basis but after reading the reports on this website we had already decided to upgrade to all inclusive, and boy was it worth it. It was 25 euros per adult and under 6's were free. It was def worth it.....especially when malibus were 4.5 euros a time. The food was fine, the boulevard was lovely....although closed on a thursday....turkey carvery was to die for.
We was pleased with how tidy the hotel was, there was staff cleaning around the pools etc at night time and it was immaculate.
The bar staff could be abit of a pain....always asking for your cards, but once they got to know you they were fine. The all inclusive finished at 11.00. There was a few times when we had been up dancing with the children and missed getting to the bar for 11.00 by minutes but they wouldnt let you have a drink. But over all it was fine.
The entertainment staff were fantastic, lots of things for the kids to do....I played archery and killer pool a couple of times and won a diploma, recieving it at night time, which was always fun. The shows at night were sometimes very amatureish but they were ok.....very good really to say they didnt have many resourses.
Excellent hotel, definitely value for money and I am already looking at prices so that we can go again next year!!!!!

| said: On arrival at los zocos with 4 children age 11 10 6 and 15 months and of course my husband.
I was very pleased with the complex the work has now been finished and all rooms so i was informed were refurbished. So no need to email ahead now.
The apartments were brand new lovely and clean maid service 5 times a week just wish they had aircon but hey i wasnt complaining. Everything you need microwave ect.
The complex itself is very safe you dont need to be worrying some one may rob your bag or anything very relaxed which was good and i felt safe with the children.
The pools were lovely we stayed around the main pool were the snack bar was just because the kids club was always doing the games ect around there.
There is something for everyone its depends what you go on holiday for i guess.
The all inclusive thing works like this i booked self catering and upgraded when we got there 25 euros per adult and 14 euros per child under 6 free.
You have to do a minimum of 4 days we did 12 out of the 14 and have to say no one can eat and drink all day for that price so fantastic value.
The food like i suppose anywhere does get abit repetative after 2 weeks but it was ok.
The el boulavard restaurant is the posh one which you must book the day before each night other wise you wont get in.
Its abit of a con really as they open it to the public and only let so many guests in from los zocos but if you book you will be fine.
The chinese is to die for and they do a nice carvery all meats and then more english choice in the there for the kids too.
Pools were good little pool for the toddlers and then a standing height pool for kids to swim and then a seperate adults very deep pool. Which is close by to the kiddies so you will have to watch your kids.
Staff in the pool bar got on my nerves abit always getting at the kids to check there cards when they knew full well they were all inclusive just awkward really. Yet never asked for adults cards they were just awkward really i guess but thats was nothing.
Hotel location was spot on in the centre across the road through a shopping centre to the beach its lovely with bars the whole stretch and glorious sunshine. A few lucky men but there no bother not like teneriffe.
Lots of restaurants if you fancy something different to eat and bars we went to cactus jacks for a late night watched star ladies drag act you must see it.
Hotel entertainment do a kids disco but i have seen better however first choice kids club is coming back from april so the hotel animation team will just do night time i think.
Thats one thing there lacking getting good entertainment on at night.
We did see a few cockroaches not many but there are a few weather was fantastic got great tans overall we had a cracking holiday.
Supermarket next door you can get everything you need for babies at the chemist 2 minute walk away asis the doctors.
One thing i will say we needed the doctors for our little boy and we had to pay £75.00 as we didnt have out e11 cards as weve never heard of them your insurance wont pay the doctors you have to claimit back.
Bit of a pain really especially if it was costly for the sake of a form at the post office it will save you time and hassle.
We met some great people here and definetly would go back.
Overall the hotel is in a good spot you have glorious sunshine swimming pools and on ahot day your glad of the breeze the pools are fine once your in what more could you ask for in a holiday its what you make of it.
We would definetly go back back again.

| said: This was our first foreign family holiday, and yes we read the reviews on here before we went so we were expecting a few hiccups.
I e-mailed ahead requesting one of the refurbished rooms, which we got, but from what we could tell there were no other works left to do.
We had a 2 bedroomed apartment which was very clean, tidy and quite spacious, maid service is 5 times per week and the towels were changed on each of these days and bedding twice a week.
The pool area was cleaned every morning whilst we were there, yes the water was cold but was ok once you got used to it and we managed to get a sunbed whenever we got to the pool.
The entertainment team were great especially for the kids, activities were run twice a day 10.30am and 2.30pm and included amongst other things, archery, rifle shooting, water polo, mini golf, french boules.
All us joined in the activities at various times and all managed to win certificates hey-hey.
The evening entertainment was usually quite corny, kids enjoyed but could get quite repetative.
The weather was glorious everyday quite humid on a night and the only downside to the rooms was the lack of air-conditioning, although you could hire a fan at the reception.
Although we booked self catering we decided to upgrade to all inclusive when we arrived, the food quality in general is quite good but the variety is extremely same old same old, and we thought that more effort could have been made in varying what was available, the kids enjoyed the all inclusive aspect.
We would definately go back to los zocos.

| said: We have been to a number of hotels on the island and for us as a family we enjoyed staying there.
The staff were lovely, food ok but did get alittle fed up with lack of choice by the second week.
Distance to the beach is only a few minutes away, there are shops just across the road and right next to the hotel. At night there is so called entertainment which was awful. Even my kids thought so. It would have been better to have a disco for the kids, then to watch there so called shows.
The boulevard was nice but again same old food not alot of choice. And you have to book a day inadvance if you want to eat there.
Pools very clean and the pool bar was good as the kids could have a snack and get there own drinks.
My son enjoyed the mini golf and water polo. The only thing was we felt they could have changed the games every few days,to keep the kids more entertained.
Overall a lovely holiday.
Maid service was good and very friendly, we had a good supply of clean towels.

We decided to opt in to the all inclusive menu and must admit we were a little disappointed with some of the food; however, that's not to say it wasn't nice.
All in all the facilities were really good and the shows that the staff put on were fantastic. So much so that we're visiting again this year (2008) and can't wait!

The apartments were spotlessly clean with no foul odours as most people are all inclusive with no need to use the cooking facilities.
The main pool area does have music from 10.30 till 20.00 therefore anyone not happy with this can use the second pool area which does not have music.
There was a choice of evening entertainment venues, one where the entertainment was provided every day by the animation team (mainly for families) and the other in the boulevard live independent turns 4 times per week (mainly for adults).
Both these venues are non smoking but there is a separate bar which allows smoking between these venues.

| said: We arrived at the hotel at 10:30am and met by the reception staff who were very helpful.
The food was brilliant the best I've ever had considering the hotel is a 3 star, I've stayed in 4 and 5 star hotels and the food was better at Los Zocos.
The entertainment staff worked very hard and made a really good night for everyone.
The hotel was only a 10 minute walk from the beach, there are 2main pools either side of the hotel one is lively and the other is quite which is good if you want to chill.
Very happy would definitely go back again!

| said: This is only the second time I've tried all inclusive, after a bad experience the first time.
I woke the first morning and decided to try the breakfast expecting continetal cuisine....and poor at that. What I found was a fully cooked English breakfast at a really high standard. Of course continental was also available, as was a range of cereals. Needless to say I made sure that I made breakfast everyday and I wasn't disapointed in the week I was there. I was always too full to try lunch but found dinner to be of a very high standard, sunday roasts every day, Chinese, Mexican etc,and a choice of pizza and burger for the kids, all good.
The hotel was in a quiet location but there was a shopping centre and bars not far from more excitement if wanted.
The hotel staff were friendly and the drinks good.
I have visited this hotel previously on a self catering basis and will definitley go back all inc.

| said: We stayed in Block One which has been re-furbished. It was immaculately clean and we saw no insects inside the apartment. It was cleaned thoroughly almost everyday and we were given fresh towels every time and bed linen frequently. Only 3 days were missed out of 14.
Self catered so cannot comment on food, entertainment and didn't have much contact with staff.
On arrival staff could be more helpful in showing you on the map which direction to head in because the complex is large and you tend to be a bit disorientated at first.
You have to pay for the TV.
Very near to the sea-front.
Good large balcony but no lift so hard-going on arrival with cases if you are up the two flights of steps. 3 floors in all.

| said: On arrival our room smelt of cigarette smoke. We were surprised that the 3rd bed was in our room and not the lounge.
The kids loved the pool bar and getting drinks when they wanted was good. It was nice to come out of a bar not smelling of smoke like you do at home.
Food very monotonous, the boulevard restaurant was good.
The pool was colder than the sea but bearable.
We were lucky enough to be there when the carnival was on in Puerto del Carmen that was great.
The submarine trip is worth a visit. We did jeep safari good day out not for small kids though.
Weather was great after a week was not ready to come home.
Ask for refurbished room we did not get one.

| said: Los Zocos is a Butlins in Lanzarote.
The rooms were very basic and of very standard quality we were on a bottom floor and the room was very damp and the curtains very moldy. The walls of the rooms are very thin and you can hear every thing going on around you. Not ideal if you like an early night.
The buidling works are in a limited area and did not effect the holiday except for the fact that from one of the swimming pools you can not get to the Pool Bar without walking quite a distance.
The food unless you ordered from the snack bar was always cold. Choice of food was very limited and other than the Chinese night I think you might like to eat out more than once. We did not eat out however you found bread and butter very boring. Even the Desserts were very limited in choice.
Evening entertainment got very boring if you didnt have kids the kids disco could get on your nerves.
Excursions were very good would recommend the Jeep Safari to anybody who really wants to see the island in a day and having a bit of fun. The Grand Tour was good however the rep on the coach did go on a bit.
Overall I was impressed that we did not see to many cockroachs. However when we ate in the Boulvard there was a cat wandering around inside when we were trying to eat. The areas could of been more cleaner not to bad if you like to feel the floor squelch underneath you.

| said: We visited the los Zocos for the first week in February and to be honest were a bit apprehensive after reading some of the reviews on here.
On arrival we were checked in quickly had photographs taken for our all inclusive cards and were guided via a map to our room in block 3.
the room was set up for self catering and had all the facilities you could expect.
The bedroom could sleep 3 with a further in the lounge area.
The food in the El Mirador Restaurant was buffet style and was the best we had had in any hotel we had stayed in, however the Boulevard topped this with its carvery and chinese/pizaria. A great night out.
Dont be put off, go with an open mind and make you own mind up.
No creepy crawlies just a few stray cats around.
The building works are ongoing, but we didnt let this spoil our holiday, they shouldnt be too long before finishing.

| said: We stayed at the Los Zocos, and were very impressed.
Every member of staff was excellant, reps very friendly and spoke all national languages.
The hotel was under renovation, but nearly finished when we left. We were in a new part and was very well equipped. Beds were very comfortable.
Food is out of this world Tuesdays in main restaurant is Chinese got to try it. The Boulavand is great too try the carvery .
My 20 mth son loved the mini disco, but I got a little bored same thing every night. Alcohol was quite a good quality especially the red wine(normally like vinegar)and they do a selection of cocktails.
The beach is just across the road(which was resurfaced while we were there.
Hope you enjoy it as much as we did!

Plenty to do for children and those who need something to do during the day. One pool very noisy with piped music all day the other pool very quiet. The staff were very good as were the Animation Team - but do you really want this on holiday?

| said: When we booked this I visited this site after and I must admit I was a bit worried about the apartments we got there quite late and we were shown to our room in block 1, I was worried about the state of the room but when we got to it, it was really nice it had just been refurbished and brand new, we had two rooms with a connecting room for the children so we could still keep an eye on them.
The bathroom only had a shower which made more room for getting changed, the balcony had a washing line attached to the wall a table with four chairs.
The food was first class with different main meals to choose from the kids loved it because they could have chips everynight if they wanted.
The Hotel is in the middle of all the shops which was wonderful just dont buy electrical items from opposite the hotel we got stitched up with an mp3 player which did work when we were there but not when we got back home but we will go back November and play up.
The staff were really friendly alot are English the entertainment team were fantastic really worked with the activity programme my two girls had a fantastic time and overall we had a fantastic holiday and will definitely be going back this year.

| said: I would recommend Los Zocos to everyone, I did actually and my parents booked up and went 2 months after I came back! They were really impressed too!
There was myself and my 2 year old son a few single friends and another friend with a 5 year old son.
The accommodation was great, spacious and recently refurbished with modern decor and fittings.
We had a pool view which was great. The food was lovely, but got a bit boaring as the same food was served every night almoast but saying that there was a variety to choose from.
The staff were friendly and the childrens entertainment was great my little boy absolutely loved it!
I would recommend all inclusive, we actually booked self catering |
