| said: This is a quite unique hotel. It is a heritage one and was the residence of one of the Royal families. You are staying in a little bit of history. We booked into a suite. The fixtures and fittings are as they would have been at the turn of the last century with some modern additions such as a/c and a great shower! Room was immaculate and kept spotless. Outside there was a terrace with an undercover lounge area. The grounds are stunning. There is a swimming pool to cool down in after a day of siteseeing.
Breakfast was taken in the dining room with an adjoining lounge area right out of the early 20th century. There is a further terrace area( undercover) where you can have afternoon tea. After the chaos round about that is Jaipur it really felt like a peaceful haven. (Jaipur is fascinating by the way)There is an outdoor restaurant where we had a lovely meal whilst watching a local dance group.
This hotel is ideal for a stopover as part of the Golden Triangle tour we did- its all part of the experience.
