We were very impressed when shown to our room, they had placed us in the Penthouse. The room was very large, spacious and light, as we had a window on all four walls. There was a nice double bed. dressing table and wardrobe, a fridge (with a case of water already chilled when we arrived), air conditioning and ceiling fan. In the sitting area there was two comfy chairs and satellite T.V. The bathroom was excellent, shower with constant hot water, pink low flush toilet and wash basin. It was tiled from floor to ceiling with pretty white tiles, which had little pink hearts on them. The balcony overlooked the front gardens (which are kept immaculate), it had lovely comfy cane furniture and it even had an electric ceiling fan. Because we were so high up, we were level with the coconut trees and it was a delight to watch the birds and chipmunks on an evening.
The room was spotlessly cleaned every day and the sheets and towels were changed every other day.
Jessie and the girls were always on hand and very helpful. We paid 1300 rupees per night for room only (they don't do breakfast) this was ideal for us as we like to have breakfast in Sam's Paradise on the beach.
It is in a really good location for the beach and also a lot of the good restaurants in Candolim. We would definitely recommend Pretty Petals and we are hoping to go back next Feb/March 2008. The only thing I would say to be aware of, if you book the Penthouse be prepared for a lot of steps, anyone who struggles with them could find it hard, other than that it's superb.

| said: Cannot fault this guesthouse, its better than most hotels in the area.
The rooms are spotless & the staff are polite, friendly & helpful. The owner Jessy makes you feel most welcome and always with a smile.
Our room had a kingsize bed, large wardrobe, and other storage, drawers etc. There was a fridge in the room, comfy chair, tv & bathroom. A large balcony with cane padded furniture & a communal balcony at the front. Some of the other rooms had plastic chairs, that's why they vary in price. You can chose wether to have air con turned or or not, I think it was 150rps extra per night.
We paid 1000rps without air con in March last year but that was our choice, however this price was honoured because we booked prev year, should have been 1150rps.
The gardens are beautiful & it is in a peaceful location, yet it's on the lane next to Snow White Laundry, opposite side of road to market near football ground. Infact its a little further down then F/ground & if you come out of PP you can either walk straight up 1 min from main Rd or down towards Peacock pub. We used to sit on the balcony & watch all the beggars get dropped off, locals going about their business & the dancing cow.
There is no safety deposit box but Jessy will store it in her safe. When we arrived there was 6 bottles of water in our room & at the end of our stay we were charged 130rps. There is no bar.
It is far superior to Casa Sea Shells rooms (we've stayed in them). Before we booked we looked around at least 6 rooms that were going to be available on the dates we required.
Would definitely stay here again & no hesitation in recommending it.
