We were told we would be staying at the Laguna Mare and using Laguna Beach facilities. I had visions of walking for miles between hotels but how wrong I was. This was absolutely fantastic. Both hotels are adjoining and they are right on the beautiful beach at Albena.
There were a lot of French and we know what they are like but apart from that we had one of our best ever "beach" holidays.
I would struggle to go back to Spain after this. Drinks all day and never hungry - kids loved free ice cream and drinks.
Entertainment was not too good but it was aimed at the French so Hey Ho........

Although when we arrived at the hotel the porters whipped your luggage off you before you could get off the flaming coach, which we did think was fantastic and made us felt like royalty…until he held out his hand begging for a tip (English money is fine if you have no Bulgarian change) We were led into our hotel room with majority of rooms having fantastic view of the pool, when I first saw it I nearly cried at how beautiful it was! (Yes, I know! My hormones were all over the place! The photos in the brochures DID NOT do the place justice!)
The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, they obviously took care when doing their jobs and clean towels were brought into the bathrooms daily. The showers were huge, and were also cleaned daily leaving the place spotless! Along with this, the mini bar was restocked every morning, bed linen was changed once a week, and your room was tidied every day.
The cleaners took care with your privacy and if they arrived and an unsuitable time for you, they offered to come back later. We were also warned before hand, that the cleaners were so poor they may steal any valuable possessions on show from your bedroom, so we kept them out of the way and hired a safe from the hotel reception to keep our money in (just in case) although they were so friendly, and happy, they just loved the fact that they were cleaning an Englishman’s room! (It sounds strange, I know, but they believe we are rich!)
The waiters that serve you around the pool area (which I must say were superbly clean) are very eager to help you, all you have to do is click your fingers and they come running! Although they expect a tip of about 5 or 10p but the service they give is well worth it, when they treat you like royalty!
Entertainment in the evening was limited but the bars are fantastic for chatting with your family or others, with a cocktail or two with a live band in the background (That wasn’t too loud I must add!) There was also an English bar for the English guests. English people run it and here they have quizzes, karaoke etc.
