| said: We booked this hotel as a last minute deal, and so were not expecting anything spectacular.
However, the hotel was well situated for bars and shops, with a free bus to the beach (a little too far to walk with all your beach stuff, especially with kids).
The room was cleaned every day, as was the hotel throughout. The carpets in the coridors did look abit grubby, but this in no way affected the holiday.
The food was a good standard, and we even had a champagne breakfast on the Sunday! It was the usual repetative deal though, and we chose to eat out twice during the week.
The hotel has two lare pools, and while we were there the large rectangular pool was the more popular, with the day entertainment centered around it. We chose to spend our holiday at the quiet free-form pool, as this is what we prefer, but the hotel does well to cater for both. We did not experience much of the night time entertainment as we went out every night, but we did see seemed well suited.
Overall, we had a lovely holiday, and would definately return to the hotel.

Yes there was some noise in the evening and the entertainment was not to all tastes, but it is in a very convenient position for beach ( free bus to and from hotel hourly if you don't fancy the 10 minute walk) and plenty of nightlife close by, and also near bus stops.
Food was very good plenty of choice,my partner is vegetarian and he never starved during the week we stayed.
Rooms cleaned daily, some of the fixtures did look a bit worn especially corridor carpets.
Staff polite and helpful.

| said: Went on my own because friend took ill and could not get away, Quite expensive going on your own as there is £17 per night supplement, was there for 2 weeks, cost £750. Hotel very impressive, staff very friendly and polite.
Pool busy and you had to be there early before the Germans put their towels on the sunbeds. Just remove them as hotel has policy about not being allowed to reserve sunbeds, some people were putting towels down in morning and not coming back till afternoon.
Beware the giant iguana that lives in the trees next to pool, it was in trees above me when I was sunbathing and decided to take a dump, quite funny now and other holidaymakers were in stitches but it stank, had to go and take shower.
Excellent room cleaned every day. Not too keen on food, had breakfast but ate out most nights. .
English bar in hotel also very friendly had a few good nights in there although closes about 12.00 midnight which is a bit early when on holiday.

Location of hotel is ideal as it is near the night life, and not to far from the beach, did not think much of the entertainment in the evening.

The rooms here very cleaned (daily)
The food was sometimes served cold (chips every night)
and would pay extra attention to salad bar(creepy crawly's not on menu)
Because of the lack of English speakers we found we were unable to stay and enjoy the evening entertainment (it was all in German). Although a short taxi ride( 2 euro) took you to where you could find many bars and restaurants (taxi outside hotel)
We found the hotel rather noisy to say the least(sometimes went on until 3 and 4 in the morning)
I would never visit this hotel again

| said: Went on a late deal and ended up at this hotel. Very Impressive from the outside.
Rooms were cleaned every day, clean towels, they were very spacious. Lovely big mirrored sliding wardrobes doors, and a hairdryer in bathroom.
The dining room was not big enough for the amount of guests staying at the hotel. Food was sometimes cold, variety was ok but could have had more english dishes.
Entertainment in the evening was not very good as most of it was in the downstairs disco (children not allowed). Entertainment team worked hard although they were all foreign and looked like they were having their own holiday everyday. Lots of pool games. Only down fall was that everytime they anounced something it was done in 5 different languages and then in broken English (got on your nerves as it could take up to 20minutes to say what was happening).
Happy Hour twice a day (3-4pm and 12-1am) Get on the cocktails
Location was good close to nightlife, shops and the beach
I would go back again if the price was right.

The hotel is very big, the rooms were of a good size and cleaned daily but the carpets outside the rooms were dirty and worn. The hotel were trying to clean them but it didn't work and the smell of the cleaning chemicals was overbearing.
There are two pools one quiet and one lively. The lively one has the entertainment team there so come 12 noon they wake everyone up with a song which you soon get used to!.
They arrange games which the Germans love getting involved in. The entertainment team were really friendly and enjoyed throwing water bombs at us and trying to get us to join in but we were happy to just watch.
The hotel is a short walk from all the different nightlife which is good cos the evening entertainment is not up to much.
Overall the hotel was good for groups but wouldn't go there for a family holiday.

We were two couples who holiday together once a year in October and this was one of the best hotels we have been in together.
The food was excellent the hotel was clean if a little dated in places, the location was close to the nightlife and the staff did their jobs very efficiently.
The entertainment staff worked tirelessly entertaining people all day long. Although no pressure was put on you if you didnt want to join in.
A great hotel for all ages.

The maids cleaned room every day (clean towels and bed linen etc...), and always made the effort to speak to you in the best english they could, and were always friendly.
The food at the hotel was very good and the choice was very good, but after four or five days the food gets very boring because the choice of food does not change from day to day. The location of the hotel is very good as it is near to the bars, clubs and the beach.
The entertainment was very poor as it seems only to focus on the german holiday makers and no one else. The only reason we would visit this hotel again is because of the cleanliness of the hotel.

| said: This hotel was the nicest ever with only 1 fault - the food in the restaurant was the same every night - if you like pizza, chips and pasta every night then you will do ok but believe me it does get boring. With paying money for half board you would expect to never eat out - but we did on about 10 nights of the 14.
The hotel is situated in a great location - near both the Irish center and the Kasbah - which is amazing!
When you go abroad you expect loads of insects but we never had one in our room. The rooms are very spacious although they do tend to get really warm because there is no air conditioning.
The staff were lovely and tried their very best to understand English.
The hotel has its own nightclub under the hotel Ozono which is open till 6am but tends to be full of Germans but it’s a good laugh!
Can’t really comment on the hotel entertainment because we were out most nights but every night there is a different show on. From Grease to Starlight Express to Wet-T-shirt competitions!
All in all Hotel Buenaventura is a great hotel and would recommend it to anyone looking for a clean hotel with everything to offer and that is near everything.

| said: We arrived expecting something very special following reading the reviews but this is definately not a 3 star plus hotel.
We were moved rooms 3 times due to the cleanliness and finished decor of the rooms. The coridoors on each floor had threadbare and heavily stained carpets very well worn.
There was paint falling off the walls and they resembled floors on a multi-storey car park with 3ft high painted numbers painted on to breeze block walls, with little to no lighting.
There were 5 blocks to the complex and the journey to your room entailed taking two separate lifts and three very long coridoors to walk along.
The rooms were very basic no carpets or heating/air con and in need of desperate upgrading(all 3 rooms were of same standard)this hotel was 95% Germans with all the entertainment in German.
The food was often cold and undercooked and the choice mainly continental. Be prepared to wait for a clean table and your food. There did not appear to be near enough staff to cater for the numbers of people waiting.
We witnessed a number of insects running over the food. A large number of people were taken ill during our week including all three of us with a stomach bug which was an issue with the hotel and not an isolated incident.
The staff were friendly but there was always someone complaining at reception on a daily basis.
Both swimming pools were very cold and the main pool was very noisy with load music being played constantly and pool games more for an 18-30 age group.
The lifts were constantly breaking down and with an 18 month old baby in a pushchair this was no joke.
This hotel was only a 3 star plus due to facilities on offer and not for quality or general cleanliness. This is a 2 star accomodation - be aware judge for yourself.

The rooms and corridors are fully carpeted so no overhead noise.
The food and staff @ this hotel are first class, but be advised when booking request a room overlooking the pool and on the fifth or above or all you will see is palm tree trunks rooms numbered 502-510 are best as the balconies are in sun all day.
The things our rep did not tell us.
The door lock swipe card also acts as your credit card so you can charge every to your room and pay on departure.
When entering the dining- room pick up a reserved ticket & place on the table of your choice, then every one knows that table is taken.

| said: We booked this hotel at the very last minute and only wanted to go for a few days and they were happy to fit us in for 4 days which was great.
The hotel was spotlessly clean and our room was fantastic. There was a large sofa, TV, hairdryer, 2 full length mirrors, and dressing table with a large mirror, a gorgeous balcony and large full length curtains making the room very homely.
The food was excellent as well. There was everything for everyone. A huge selection of fruits, hot food, milkshakes, bread and every kind of ham and cheese you could possibly think of. It was fantastic. The restaurant was great as well. The decor was amazing and was always cleaned the minute you had finished so the there were always new tables available. There are also A La Carte restaurants inside of the hotel so you didn't have to choose to eat in the main restaurant if you didn't want to.
The location was also good. However there were a few Blackpool kind of casino places which are best avoided.
The staff were extremely friendly and made our welcome very nice. The entertainment was brilliant and there are 2 pools. One for the younger generation and the others are for those you want to relax. The entertainment goes on throughout the day, however as 90% of the holiday makers there are German, most of the entertainment is in German but it is still fun to watch.
Overall I would definitely go again to this hotel

For those of you on a low carb lifestyle the food choices were varied and excellent and the amenities were first class.
Hotel gym is well equipped and the three hot guys in attendance made sure I went back as often as possible!
Plenty of room at the poolside, as long as you're up early! Yes, there were a lot of Germans at the hotel, but so what! We found everyone to be friendly and polite and just had ourselves the best time ever.
Stay at this hotel, you won't be disappointed!

| said: This was my second visit to the hotel having first visited in January we found it such good value and enjoyable we decided to vist again in October.
The hotel is rated 3 star yet has most facilities offered by higher rated ones. It is part of the creative lopesan group and obviously has a group reputation to maintain.
The rooms all have balconies and a pool view, there are 2 full size outdoor swimming pools, both heated in winter months, and a small kiddies pool as well as spa whirlpools.
Entertainment is superb but you have to know whats going on and when, so watch the posters in the hotel entrance and lower walkway near the resturant for details. The creative team start their day at the poolside theatre at noon and arrange sports, water arobics, ect then early evening there is a nightly poolside show not to be missed, followed by a disco with barside tables, which takes you until 11.30.p.m. at midnight there is an adjacent free disco show with themed entertainment ranging from starlight express and grease to male and female strippers but all tastefully done and non offensive.
The entertainment is every night and sometimes poolside theatre sometimes indoor at mon cheri bar.
Only down side to holiday apart from comming home is there is no air conditioning in bedrooms although double doors to balcony work well in this respect, and although a strict rule not to reserve sunbeds with towels the Germans seem to ignore this and still do it.
The germans do outnumber the british but most are pleasant enough and the friendliness of the staff and creative entertainers makes up for this.
The courtesy bus to the beach is hourly but I found no problem walking there also taxis are cheap within the resort. Buses cheap for further afield.

The hotel is beautiful as soon as we pulled up outside we all knew we had picked a good hotel the grounds were kept spotless and the hotel was even cleaner. The staff are all extreamly polite and are always there to help. The rooms are very spacious my sister an I shared a twin room it had 2 single beds a sofa bed coffee table dressing table a chest of drawers and a stand for your suitcases and a balcony big enough to sunbathe on. The rooms are cleaned and fresh towels are left every every morning. Breakfast and dinner was buffet style with plenty of options like cereal fruit and fry ups for breakfast and salads and pasta to cooked meats and pizza for dinner. I never stayed in for the entertainment in the hotel so couldnt comment on it. The hotel location was for me perfect it was a 5-10 minute walk from the hotel to most of the nightlife you have the irish center to the left of the hotel and the kasbah center to the right of the hotel the beach is about a 15 min walk all in all everything was close enough to reach by foot but far enough away from noise. The swimming pools are quite big I only saw 2 but I have been told there are 3 of the 2 I saw both were clean and tidy one pool had entertainment during the day the other was good for those who liked to sunbathe in peace we picked the quiet one to sunbathe at there was always plenty of sunbeds available morning and afternoon. There is a bar beside the reception and they serve delicious cocktails. I would reccommend this hotel to anyone I would definetly use this hotel again.

| said: Well this was a family and friends holiday, mum dad me and my friend hayley. Me and hayley were left on our own most of the time, being 18 and all.
The hotel staff were lovely, the entertainment was amazing! especially Joke Rebecca & Nadine! From our first night I went up and did kareoke and from then on they remembered my name, and were calling me to join in the games and everything! Which I thought was great! The water aerobics was a great start to the morning!
There were 2 pools, we spent one week by the quiet one and regreted it when we found out there was lots of entertainment going on with the other one! Some of the games had drink involved which was great, people of all ages joined in!
I met some lovely people, though most were german and we did meet a few English families but still a very enjoyable time!
The food was amazing, I've never seen so much food in my life! So much to choose from it was hard to make a choice!
There is a nightclub on sight, and being part of the hotel you get in free! So that was bonus! Everynight upstairs at the hotel there was some kind of show, my favourite was definatly starlight express, done on rollerskates I may add! Then after thats finished they go down to the nightclub to do games and lots more!
The entertainment staff really work hard and they have always got a smile on their face! and they are up for anything! Whether its wrestling on floats in the pool to dressing up as babies! Its just a good, fun holiday!
Oh I cant forget DJ Shadow! He played any request you want! He was so lovely, always smiling! Lovely guy!
I am definatly saving up to go here again!

| said: This was one of the worst places I have ever stayed in - overpriced, rude staff, 100's of rude 'european' guests who stare at you when you are eating your dinner, make jokes about you AND have sex really loudly at 4am, and horrible food. As British guests be warned that you are substantially out numbered and you cannot get a sunbed for love nor money. I always thought the old joke about sunbeds and germans was a bit far fetched until I came here!!!
Despite being half board we spent over £100 a day, the 1ltr bottles of WATER were 1 euro each they could only be purchased from the tremendously overpriced shop or the vending machines that more times than not swallowed your money.
The sales men in the Kasbar are really pushy and generally awful and one even chased my other half out the shop and told my other half to F off because he didn't want to buy the 11 euro binoculars, he wanted the 8 euro binoculars. You have to pay to use the toilets (by an old woman sat outside them), and I didn't even use them because there was no toilet paper!!!
I am sure that one day we were served rabbit labelled only as 'chinese-flavoured meat'. Initially I thought how lovely the dining room was only to discover that you get pushed out the queue by germans, the nice food is gone within a few minutes of the dining room opening, the tables are dirty and the poor catering staff run around like billio to clean them and the chips, pizza, chips, pizza cycle gets very boring.
During our stay the hotel decided to shut the 2 english bars for refurbishment so we were left with german entertainment or cabaret keyboard in the hotel lobby where a spanish lady made a pass at my other half and then glared at me for the rest of the evening.
The only saving grace was meeting a lovely English couple who felt exactly the same as us but they left after a week and we were left to sulk!
The rooms were very clean and quite posh with a good sized TV but again the channels were mostly for the german guests. We didn't get bitten by any insects and found no nasties in our room!
Overall very disappointing as we had saved so hard and were looking forward to it so much. We wouldn't go back to this place if you paid us.
