| said: This hotel is clean and comfortable. The food Im afraid wasn't that great. Some days were better than others. Became boring after day 3. AI includes breakfast, lunch, dinner and after coffee and cake. Free soft and local alcoholic beverages. Many times the food was cold. They cater more for the German/Russian tourist.
The hotel is situated directly on a beautiful beach. This is its only saving grace. There are no eating places or bars near by. To go anywhere you have to either brave the hourly bus which passes the hotel, and is always stacked full. Or you can pay for a taxi. The nearest village of St.Vlas was approx 10 minutes away and should cost around 12lev. [£6].
The staff are the most unfriendly, rude and ignorant I have ever come across. The bar staff were the worst, closely followed by the waiting staff. The reception staff were friendlier, and the cleaners were exceptional and very friendly.
No entertainment to really talk about. Techno music was a favourite around the pool and the beach bar. A nightly show was put on by the entertainment staff but not really worth going to watch.
The hotel had three bars to choose from. A bar area near reception, a pool bar and a beach bar. No snacks or food is offered at any of the bars so if you want food you have to go back into the hotel dining hall to eat. The hotel also has two shops selling essentials. They also stock crisps, chocolate, cigarettes, juices.
The hotel has a problem in the summer with wasps. They are everywhere. Many people were stung. They do get on your nerves a lot. The hotel has its own doctor and if you need treatment all you need to produce is your passport and your insurance details. One family from Ireland were charged £150 for an injection for their son after he was stung. They had forgotten to take their insurance details. Also if you leave your inflatables on the beach overnight then the security guards will lift them and store them under a set of stairs. They don't tell you this though so be aware. Tipping the bar staff in the hope of getting better service or a smile simply doesnt work - so don't even bother.
So, the hotel is nice, the beach is lovely - but the staff ruin the whole effect.
