The location is central to everything, shops, beach, bars etc.
The staff are amazing particularly Asis the head barman and Tony the entertainment manager.
The entertainment is different every night of the week with different shows.
We will definately return in fact we are in December.

| said: Would deff have to agree with the masses here hotel rooms need re-vamping and new beds would be great, hotel is very clean though. Tony works hard to include all the kids in all the activities we didn't do much in hotel on the night but what we did take part in the kids loved, (we tend to go out on the evening).
Pool is very deep BEWARE I had to go in twice fully clothed as the kids didn't think it was as deep as it actually was!! Sun beds could all do with the back rest's fixing, I spent ages looking for beds with backs so we could watch the kids or read our books, but no probs with getting a bed like you usually have :) went to the new commercial centre a few times to the bowling alley if you go here the rates change daily but there is a notice on the wall stating them all, if you remember when you get there go to the supermarket there as it's much cheaper than the netto but but be prepared to either shell out for a cab or carry it back its a bit of a walk. good bus service on the island (not as good as Menorca but still reliable) the bus into the capital gets full really quickly, we went to Corralejo for the day to perfectly honest I wish we'd have stayed here as there was much more charm little cobbled streets and lovley harbour really like the brochures and holiday programmes. Getting back to the hotel , you are close to all the resturants and there are lots of little parks for the kids to play on while you eat, you have to try Frado Rock it was recommended to us by a friend it was great, they bring your meat out on a hot rock and you 'cook' it how you want it, they bring you garlic dip and bread while you wait for your meal, the canary potatoes are by far the best here too. We tried the chinese all you can eat buffet over the road, which was nice but nothing special, we found a really cheap place to eat and it did 'home style' dinners even for the kids not just 'with chips' I can't remeber if it was the blues bar or the one next door (the 60's bar I think but the food was great and really reasonable too, the rib place was nice too!
The beach was nice and the water was always calm, but there was a constant wind comming in, (keep a jacket with you :) and you will be OK.
Would consider going back to this hotel, if the price was right.

| said: We arrived at the hotel early evening, where we greeted by cheery staff, who were really helpful.
We were very dissapointed with our room, it was very small and cramped and the beds were awful, it was like sleeping on a hardboard.
However, the rooms were very clean and the maid service was excellent. We were there for 7 days and during that time, we were given fresh towels etc 5 times! I think that the apartments are just 'tired' and in need of a revamp. If you want to watch the TV you have to hire the remote control from reception, which I think is quite cheeky, especially when it's not mentoned at the time of booking.
We decided that on our first night we would eat at the hotel restaurant which was a buffet. The food was cold and there was hardly any choice and quite expensive for what it was. In fact I decided not to bother and went out for breakfast the following morning.
They have a tennis court and darts board etc, however, when we collected the tennis balls, they were no good and desperately needed replacing and as for the darts, they must have been years old. I feel that attention should be paid to the little things.
We would definately go back to Caleta De Fuste, but not to the Caleta Gardens.

| said: Stayed in Caleta Gardens room 133 from 19th - 26th December 2007.
Very Poor Xmas effort made by hotel which was a bit disheartening, even a disco/karaoke wouldve been good where the kids & adults couldve participated together
On arrival the whole area of Caleta De Fuste was flooded as it had rained heavily. The hotel floor was very wet & slippery & most of the apartments electricity had tripped due to water.
Anyway, was allocated room 133, slept 3 if required, everything there for self catering puposes including kettle, toaster, cutlery, plates, microwave, cooker, fridge etc etc....so really good in that sense.
Apartments are cleaned 4 times a week, including fresh towels.
TV in room showing some english channels but you will be charged to watch it €12 + €5 for deposit for the remote control.
Safes are in room, again chargeable per week but bolted down & very secure.
Main entrance door to apartment was very secure, no access from outside unless with key but the patio door in this room was very dodgy....if u pushed the fixed frame outwards you were able to slide it open whilst it was supposedly locked, so be very aware of this!
Entertainment in the hotel is quite good actually, Tony is brill with the kids but felt as if the hotel couldve done a lot more for adults & xmas rather than play dated music. Hotel does have a happy hour (2for1)from 20:30-21:30 STRICT! pint of local beer €3.40, local spirits €3.40, Blue WKD €3.90, Smirnoff €4.50!...so a bit of advice, got out hotel cross over road & go into "Netto Supermarket", buy 200 "Progress" cigarettes (like Richmond KS) for €5.89...yes €5.89 & buy ur drink in their too.....have a few drinks before attempting the entertainment lol!!
Jacuzzi is solar powered/heated?? & bloody freezing despite saying that water temp is between 30-35c on the sign, sauna is broken, POOL IS FREEZING & i aint kidding, it takes a LOT of getting used too!
AVOID "IL PATIO RESTAURANT" (out main door of hotel, turn right & next to The Steakhouse which is superb) FOR A MEAL, SERVICE IS A SHAMBLES, FOOD IS TERRIBLE & THEIR "COULDNT CARE LESS" ATTITUDE LEAVES A LOT TO BE DESIRED!
Chinese Buffet opposite Caleta Gardens is really nice & €8.80 per person eat all u can, dont eat at "Slowboat II" (out main hotel door n turn left) its rank!!.
"Scotch Corner" does a fab breakfast (Sandra ur a star cook by the way) although a little expensive still worth it considering you can get full breakfast for €3.50 down in the shopping complex @ "60's Bar" 2 mins walk from "Scotch Corner".
"Flower Of Scotland" bar is a good nite out, late night burger at "Last Chance", down stairs from "Flower Of Scotland"
The Dome, Slap & Tickle, Sean o G's, are all no bad nites out but dont expect the clubbing nitelife as it dont happen in Caleta De Fuste.
Beautiful man made beach (about 10 mins walk from hotel) but beware coz the folk hiring the sun loungers will try rip u off to tune of €6!!!!...my advice, buy a cheap beach towel n enjoy the sand, water is really nice & clean too.
Summing it all up, was a good holiday none the less, but quite limited as to what u can do if u dont have kids, its a kid friendly/family resort.
Make sure u hit the Market....haggle for they watches coz they will try €40+ for just one, i got 2 rolex's for €25 :-), dont let them hit u with big price, make ur offer be very firm & walk away if needed (rolex, gucci, rado, bretling, playboy) and handbags i got one for someone for €15 they will try to get €30+ for one if u aint firm in ur offer (prada, gucci, playboy etc)

We didn't eat at here because my wife has a food allergy so we mainly cook for ourselves.
The location was second to none, central, reasonably flat and close to all amenaties and the beach, excellent.
The staff are by far the friendliest bunch of people we have met, especially the large number of cleaners and Asis & his bar crew.
The entertainment is all arranged by Tony the entertainment guy, he works extremely hard and encourages all ages to get involved, the kids all loved his dance routines.
You will not find a more friendly basic place to stay and not a cockroach in sight.
With two happy hours every day of the week you can't beat the value for money

we did not eat at the hotel restaurant as there are excellent restaurants right along the street.
this was our second visit to caleta gardens and we will deffinatly be back again soon

| said: Just got back from a week staying at Caleta Garden Apts and was very happy with the place. The Hotel pobably does need a refurbishment programme, but on the whole the place was clean, the rooms adequate and the service good. We had a pool view and were not affected by noise from the Bar next door althogh spoke to some othr visitors who were on that side of the hotel who said they were kept awake by the noise. The Entertainer Andy was great with the little kids, his dance routines are not to be missed. We only experienced the entertainment one night before going out and the usual is "Play your cards right, Bingo and quiz" Not our cup of tea but passed the time. The hotel is located in a good position not too far from the beach and bars, we didnt spend a lot of time at the hotel just used it as a base really. but for the price we paid, the hotel was gooe value for money.

The room, a studio, was small & clean but reasonably equipped with the holiday essentials and even had a good TV (rent the channel-hopper!).There are maids round each day cleaning. There are of course much bigger rooms available. It is a good hotel for families as they cater for children throughout the day. There is a sun-roof available just for adults. There is a restaraunt and cafe-bar available for food throughout the day. The pool is clean (& cold)and sun-beds are available.

| said: This place needs some money spending on it! The studios are in a generally tatty state, small and if you do not have a pool view dark and like a prison cell. The bed leg fell off within a minute of getting into bed, cupboard doors just hanging on, paintwork and bath chipped, taps just hanging on the wall - an air of a place that never maintains the rooms. The "entertainment" is too intrusive, the bar/reception area is a dark 1970s nightmare, the lift is dirty and damaged and when we asked for the bed to be fixed nothing happened - we left after one night.

Great food all a la carte from fillet steak to pasta, great breakfasts, really the food was that good we were dissapointed when we ate out.
Best beaches are about a 10 minute walk from the main beach, just on the right of the main beach, infront of the Atlantico shopping centre.
Legends bar opposite hotel great for Adults with entertainment every night, and the Blues bar was good for cocktails.
Didn't use hotel pool or bar as we like the beach.
Great place for couples or families.
Great resort and the weather was in the 30's!

| said: After reading other reviews we were a bit concerned about going here, we were pleasantly surprised when we got there.
We have just returned from two week here, the accommodation was basic but all essentials provided, toaster, sandwich maker, kettle, tea, coffee on arrival. Maid service 5 times a week, place was always clean.
Hotel staff were always very polite, bar staff brilliant with kids, loads of kids there from little ones to teenagers they all seemed happy and to be enjoying themselves!
Jooles the entertainment manager tried her best, I think it was her first season so she is still learning, the kids enjoyed her, she did a mini disco every night for the little ones, there is something on every evening and afternoon if you want to join in, you can, if you don't then no-one bothers you.
We didn't eat at the hotel so can not comment on that, we spent most nights at Fado Rock just down the road, it was brilliant there, the Chinese over the road Great Wall was also very good, Mexican however opposite was rubbish in our opinion.
So after all our fears about it going to be a awful place, we needn't have worried. We spent a restful and relaxing two weeks in the sun and both of the kids enjoyed it too.

The pool area is small, every one is on top of each other!!
At ten to nine in the morning its like watching insects appear from every nook and kranny to get 'their spot', didn't manage once to get by the pool as there were towels on all the beds in a matter of minutes (even tho no one was sat there).

Could imagine it been very busy and annoying in the height of the season. well located with plenty bars and resturants on your door step.
Some ground floor rooms are a step over the terrace onto the poolside so grab the beds outside early or you might as well have people on your balcony for company.
Would we stay at the caleta gardens again ? Yes but never at peak times.

I would also like to add that the others who stayed there, commented on the noise of the entertainment finished at early hours of the morning, when in fact it finished at about midnight.
We will definitely return thanks again and keep up the good work!!!!

| said: We have just returned from Caleta Gardens and have had a very enjoyable holiday.
The staff were just about the friendliest and most helpful that we have ever encountered.
The rooms were basic but had everything that you could require for a self catering holiday, i.e microwave, toaster, toasted sandwich maker, kettle, a two ring hob, and plenty of pots, pans, etc.
There are tv`s in the rooms but they are only usable by paying a seperate hire charge at reception.
The rooms were cleaned daily, always clean towels, and the bed linen changed once a week.
The only let down to the cleaning was that the balcony could have done with mopping as if you went out with bare feet they came back in dirty.
The pool area was kept very clean and tidy and the pool itself spotless.
Sun lounger space seemed a little cramped but that seems always an issue wherever we have been.
The entertainment consisted of one (DJ AL), My god if ever there was a candidate for a Tony Blackburn impersonater then this is the guy, although a very friendly and to be honest a really nice bloke the night time entertainment he provided became a little predictable, but once more I have to be honest in saying that the kids loved him.
All said we would not hesitate in returning.

The apartments were clean and extremely well kitted out, kettle, toaster, sandwich maker, microwave and tv with UK chanels. Better than many places I have read reviews of.
The pool area was well kept but due to the bad weather could not test it out! We also needed to wash clothes during the week and there were facilities for this.
Did not eat in at all so cannot comment.
If hotel entertainment is your thing this is the place for you. An excellent, well run programme of all types but it is not my kind of thing. If you had kiddies and wanted to stay close in the evening it was good.
Perhaps in high season it would get noisy from both the hotel entertainment and the bars across the road and beside the restaurant, under the rooms.
As a cheap and cheerful holiday it was a good place to go.

Three rooms our party were located in were directly above the disco and bar (No's 215-217), so sleep before 1am was out of the questioned. Al must be the loudest dj in the world why he needs a microphone is beyond me!
On the plus side the hotel staff were excellent, hotel spotless, maid service regular and helpful. Can recommend the breakfasts these
Were well presented and the selection of cold and hot
Meals would satisfy anybody. Nice play areas for the children. Would return to this hotel again only if we were guaranteed rooms away from the bar area.

| said: We stayed in the Caleta Gardens Appartments, our first impression was good, the rooms are small but very clean, we didn't eat in the resturant but always had a good selection of food available.
The staff were always helpful and friendly and Linda the PR was always on hand should you have a problem.
That leaves the entertainment, well what can I say DJ Al was totally superb during the day and evening he is a all rounder who deserves an awful lot of credit we were all entertained by this man and can't thank him enough for making our holiday great.

| said: make sure you pack your earplugs or you wont get any sleep if you get a room over the bar like we did the noise goes on until 3 o clock in the morning Dj Al is very loud and I know lots of people love him but we didnt find him very entertaining or amusing at all and we would make sure we were out until at least midnight to avoid the evening "entertainment" which was really cheesy.
The noise was so bad that we eventually asked if we could swap rooms and the staff were helpful in arranging this for us and we got a nice quiet room at the back of the complex.
Room was clean with basic facilities everything you need really maids were very efficient and did an excellent job.
Pool is far too small for the amount of rooms and sunbeds are difficult to get unless you get there early in the morning not a problem for us as we like to be out and about. An alternative for couples is to use the roof terrace which has sunbeds a jaccuzzi and a small bar no children are allowed up here so its a lot more quiet and peaceful.
Overall I would say its a good place for families as there is lots for kids to do but couples looking for a quiet break should steer well clear we wont be going back

| said: The Hotel was ok in most respects apart from the Bar staff who seemed to vary from being lethargic miserable, and inaccurate to over the top and patronising. On at least three occasions after ordering drinks I was given the wrong ones, which was made worst by the staff implying that it was me who gave them the wrong order!.
Other than that the Hotel was clean and tidy. The other gripes were that the constant smell of sewerage from the drains in the courtyard was disgusting and when a machine broke, or ran out of stock (i.e vending machine) it took forever to restock.

| said: Caleta-Gardens (Caleta de Fuste) Fuerteventura was recommended to us as a great family holiday complex. First impressions were very good, hotel was clean and the rooms well equiped for self catering. The staff were very friendly and helpful especially reception. Bar service was a little slow and sometimes presentation of bar snacks served was not accepatble. Food in the restaurant was excellent, three times in all we ate there, two evenings and once at brekky. The kids club was great and the kids reps do a brilliant job entertaining the kids. Now for the bad points!!!!
I feel that entertainment during the day for children who were not at the kids club was diabolical. All the entertainment provided was for adults only......water polo, volleyball, killer darts and pool ect ect The small kids wre even asked to leave the shallow end of the pool for their own safety so the adults could play polo ( not very fair) The evening entertainment was ok if u like bingo, play your cards right and all the things you would normally expect to do at BUTLINS!!!! All that was missing was fish n chips, candy floss and blackpool tower. Evening kids club was on offer but it cost 3 euros per child, which when u have three kids gets a bit pricey, we didn't mind payin a couple of times because the children enjoyed being there. Our room overlooked a karaoke bar on the street and sometimes the noise was terrible going on until 4 or 5 in the mornin. DJ AL was ok to start with but then he got too much and too loud. Not our type of holiday and we will definetly not return

| said: WOW! what a great holiday. Didn't have great expectations for the cheap price we paid but value for money. We had a back room so was quiet.. it true walls are bit hallow you hear footsteps eveyrwhere. If you get one over looking the pool or over bar can't have been very quiet. Room service most days except sunday - be carefull they rang the bell didn't give me chance to answer and caught me naked! Our loo broke down on sunday night.. they wouldn't do anything to sort it out until monday which annoyed me so we sorted it out ourselves!! The reps are amazing at the place kepe the kids going, and DJ AL is the start of the night! If your goign as couple take about £40 each for a catermagen to Lanzoraote the most relaxing day you will ever have! Sunday is a day of rest so be warned to be stocked up the day before.

| said: we went to caleta garden apts in may 2004 and although its in a prime location if you dont mind a lot of noise, i mean until 4.30 in the morning that is. the local bars close around this time and we found that it was pointless trying to go to sleep as the kids couldnt. the local bar downstairs cafe tequela was a god send. tiny little ants were ever present also in the apt but there are always crawlies everywhere you go. would go again...

General building could do with lick of paint. Room was ideal and kept clean by hard working cleaning staff (Lolita). Ideal location very handy for shops, bars and restaurants etc. Beach only 5 min walk. Entertainment - family orientated and Al made it for us. Bar staff friendly also.
We enjoyed it so much we are returning in October.

| said: I went to Fuertaventura on my Honeymoon and really enjoyed it. Caleta Gardens was a great hotel.
From the entertainment From big Al to the bar manager Aziz(whose favourite phrase was Happy Happy Ole Ole). A wonderful atmosphere in lovely surroundings in great weather. I went Snorkeling, Jet ski riding, Catemeran sailing, a day trip to Lanzarote and Boogie Boarding.
As well as lounging on the beach and going for walks to feed the islands chipmunks. Only downside about the hotel is the cleaners seemed to knocking your door every morning at 9.30 to clean the room, which was a little early for me.

Entertainment very good
Resort hasn't got to much to offer but we enjoyed our time there
Chipmonk mountain a must but you better be fit.
