| said: This was our second visit to the Fuerteventura Princess our first visit being about 7 years ago. The only differences we noticed were The Palm Lounge off reception where the palms were previously full grown and about 30ft tall, they have now been replaced by smaller plants The chairs in the Coco Loco Bar are still very comfortable but have had their rocking mechanism removed. Also the chocolates on pillows only arrived on a couple of nights and not every night as previous we did get a bottle of bubbly as returning guests
The room was as we expected very clean and comfortable the only problem being a noisy AC unit but as we didnt need this it wasn't a prblem.
The grounds and pools are still immaculate and well maintained. There was some sun bed hogging but this is not allowed by the hotel We never had problems finding beds but it could be a problem for larger parties or families with young children wanting the most suitable spots.
We found the food excellent loads of variety it could be a problem for those who consider sausage egg and chips an evening meal. We ate breakfast alfresco every morning at La Choza Restaurant that overlooks the beach they serve late breakfast from 9 but the Germans are out in force claiming the best tables well before 8.30 The bacon served here was better than a lot of hotels I Have stayed in in England.
We find the location ideal but for those who like to be straight out to bars and shops it will be a disappointment.
The hotel staff were very professional but because of the size of the it can be difficult to establish a close friendly relationship as some people like to do.
We rated the entertainment low as we did not participate Drinks and snacks can either be paid for in cash or credited to your room account.
The Rep was a big improvement on our previous visit, we didnt go on any excursions this time and didnt attend the welcome meeting.
The Hotel and resort are predominantly German
but we find this an advantage rather than disadvantage.
There was one problem, my wife is a mosquito magnet,we have been to Fuerteventura several times and the only place she has ever been bitten is this hotel. This could possibly be due to having ground floor rooms on both occasions. If we do return which is likely I would ask for an upper floor room.

| said: Having been on many times to the Princess Chain of hotels, this occasion was a different to the other visits. Our last visit to this hotel was just under 12 months ago things have changed for the worst.
Firstly the food, if you can call it that! Each evening seems to be a concoption of the previous day’s food, presented in a different way, lack of variety, cold and bland to say the least. Using yesterdays left overs on today’s menu it seems. Even the one thing us Brits had is now gone, HP sauce.
The hotel is kept clean and on this visit the cleaners were the most polite and respectful people by a considerable margin. All other staff didn't really want to make an effort to our nation buy jumped through hoops to a certain European nation.
The hotel is geared up for the German population but that comes along with being close to the resort of Jandia. If you want a hotel with a few more formalities of home than this is not the hotel for you.

The hotel and staff are first class.
It is a little away from Jandia but a bus stops outside evey half hour for 1 euro.
Please make sure that you have no problem with mobility as this will not be the place for you.
The main problem I have is with the food, especially with the hot food, we found the meat from bacon to what could have been anything unedable. The veg. was rock hard and it was difficult to find anything to eat. There were many people walking around with plates of salad and I even saw some coming to the table with plates of chips only and they were cold. I took a straw pole of the Brits at the hotel and the general concensous was the same. The problem being that all the Jandia area has a 95% German clientel, which is no prob. but they are catered for much more than the Brits. and what they seem to like is not what I care to eat.
Another point is that there is no coffee making facilities in the rooms so if you like your morning cuppa don't forget your travel kettle or it is a hike to the restaurant.

I was expecting great things from this hotel from reading the reviews, but everything was average.
Food - average. Reception staff - average. Entertainment - cheesy or appalling.
Hotel is stuck out on it's own. You need to catch a bus or hire a car to get to any shops/restaurants. They want you to stay within the complex for your whole stay.
OK for old people I guess who want to do nothing all day long, and GREAT if you love miserable old people who do nothing but complain and flash their appalling old bodies to the world.
Not for the feint hearted - a lot of nudists at this location.
I would not visit again.

| said: Well, all I can say is we are due to depart for our THIRD visit to this hotel in a few weeks. We are reformed globe trotters - previously thinking the world is too big to go back to the same place!. Previous reviews will tell you in depth how good this hotel is, the rooms, the service, the staff and the food are all first class - my advice is go and see for yourself! - you will fall in love with the place!.
My only other comment is, please, don't be so quick to point the finger and laugh at the naturists, on the beach, or by the specially reserved pool area. EVERYONE knows that this region of FVT is well liked by naturists - if you are offended by them - please stay away. If you only go to laugh and poke fun at those of us with less than perfect figures (but hey - no tan lines!) - kindly grow up!.

As before everywhere is spotlessly clean and continually being maintained. All the surrounding gardens were absolutely immaculate. Nothing was to much trouble for the hotel staff. All the meals were excellent.
Never any worry of food running low as even within half an hour of the dining area closing food was still being prepared/cooked. We particularly enjoyed the late breakfasts at at the smaller dining area down by the pool.
Evening entertainment was ok although we never went until after 9pm.Overall though I felt this hotel was excellent and I am looking forward to a return visit.
Highly recommended for those seeking a quiet and lazy laid back holiday.

| said: We spent our week-long honeymoon in the Fuerteventura Princess near Jandia and had a fabulous time.
A year previously we had what we'd thought was an unbeatable week at the Hilton Sharm in Sharm-el-Sheikh, Egypt, and were intrigued to see whether this would beat it. The answer was not quite, but it was close.
A lot of other reviewers have covered the basic good points of the hotel - cleanliness, friendly staff, great pools, wonderful bountiful breakfasts etc, so we needn't repeat them. We would agree with all of those comments.
One minor nit-pick with the hotel was that the evening meals were a bit repetitive but when they tasted so good we didn't mind too much!
We did yoga by the pool every morning after the late breakfast, which was a fantastic way to start each day. There are loads of activities to get stuck into, including archery, aqua aerobics and tennis. Don't just lie on those loungers all day!
The nudist pool in the hotel was a frequent amusement. Jandia beach as a whole seemed to be a mecca for rotund naturists, who seem only too proud to display their apparatus. Very funny, but it did put me off the mini sausages at the evening buffet though!
The evening entertainment alternated between hilarious (often unintentionally!) and bizarre. We had Chinese contortionists, transvestites, a boy band and a resident group who gave karaoke a bad name. All well worth watching, if mostly for the comedy factor.
The weather (late Jan) was very changeable. It poured down the days we arrived and left but was bikini/trunks temperature most of the time.
Our rep was very helpful if very very slightly over-keen to promote the more expensive excursions (it's their job I suppose).
One highly pedantic comment would be that the hotel's internet is ridiculously slow, which is very cheeky when they charge you by the second, and it's not that cheap. Broadband needed, we think!
Don't let these trifling criticisms put you off coming to a top class hotel. We had a splendid, luxurious, totally relaxing week, we ate like kings every morning and evening and were extremely well looked after. You'll have a great time.

Last minute deal through travel agents. We are normally independant travellers and this was a shot in the dark.
We could not fault the hotel, it was up there with the very best.
I agree with all the positive comments posted, and would add that the hotel manager was seen walking round the hotel and grounds checking everything for himself three times in the week we were there.
There are 4 tennis courts in good condition with resident professional coaches and a shop. There are tournaments every week, mainly doubles.
There is also an adequate gym.
The staff are superb.
I would recommend this hotel without hesitation and will return next winter.

As many others have mentioned the level of cleanliness and service recieved from the hotel staff was excellent in every way. we wouldn´t change anything.
We would like to comment on the reps in the hotels. A lot of the reviews we read before we came advised that they were pretty useless and only interested in making money so we were prepared to ignore them! However I must say both the girls were exremely helpful, always available and would give the best advice possible. We attended their welcome meeting and were pleased that it was not all sales but gave some good recommendations for "freebie" trips and other things around the area too.
On the whole I have to recommend this hotel it is abosultely gorgeous and you won´t regret it

My only "complaint" is that there is not enough for teenagers to do in the evenings.

The thoughtful layout worked wonderfully, with plenty nooks and crannies for whatever you want to do. Quite superb. Others before me have given detail so I won't repeat. Simply wonderful, and we will be returning year after year providing they can keep up this standard.

| said: When we arrived at the hotel we were amazed as it was not as it appeared in the brochure. It was outstandingly better and the pictures in the brochure did not do it justice. The reception area is remarkable in its design and the reception staff who all spoke very good english were always helpful and courteous.
The food was excellent and varied enough to allow you to try different things on different nights. There were some themed nights which gave us the chance to sample local dishes and many other.
The location suited us as we were looking for a quiet relaxing getaway. This was my partners first holiday abroad and and we both would most definately stay there again. We hired a car to explore the island and would recomend that this is something that You should try as it is an experience and great fun. We drove all the way round the island in one day and saw many wonderful sights.
We did not partake of the entertainment at the hotel as during the day we were out and about and in the evening we chose to relax and chill in the bar in the middle of the largest pool which was open to midnight every night. Quiet secluded where we could talk and enjoy the evening.
If you are looking for excitement and non stop entertainment then try somewhere else. If your looking to enjoy a holiday away from the hussle and bussle of normal life then this is your place.
Excllent!!!!..

| said: I really can't fault this hotel in any way... from the moment I checked in to the moment I left, everything was perfect. It's located about 4 miles outside Jandia, in an area called Esquinzo... there are no shops or bars anywhere nearby (car hire would be beneficial if you wanted to go out and about - driving in Fuerteventura is an absolute doddle), but it's an absolutely perfect place for chilling out.
After getting on the transfer coach, I was given an envelope containing a pen, questionnaire to be filled in and a letter about the hotel and what it offers - this is done in order to speed things up when you get to the hotel, which was a brilliant idea seeing as most of the people on my coach were going there. As a result, check-in was efficient and hassle-free - you don't even have to worry about carting your suitcase everywhere - it's delivered to your room by a porter on a motorised golf-buggy (watch out though - they drive like maniacs)! I was particularly impressd that they'd kept the restaurant open for us when we arrived - we had a 3pm flight and didn't get checked in until nearly 10pm. I was expecting just a cold buffet, but there was still a full selection on offer.
Finding your room can be quite daunting at night because the complex is absolutely MASSIVE and accommodation is in 8 separate blocks, almost like a little luxury village... you are given a map when you check in and there are numerous signposts (not all are lit though), so do take time to plan which way you're going to go otherwise you could end up walking around in circles...! A tip I found out is that the higher the block number, the further away from reception it will be.
The rooms are absolutely beautiful, and spotlessly clean - mine was in in block 6 (room 6106) which overlooks the swimming pools and ocean. Rooms are lavishly furnished with twin beds, 2-seater sofa, coffee table, extra chair, satellite TV, very good air-conditioning, FREE fridge, safe (in wardrobe), MASSES of storage space and well-furnished bathroom. Be careful when opening the patio doors though - there are actually two doors, one behind the other... the second one is a mosquito door with net as opposed to glass. Some balconies are bigger than others as well - just pot luck as to whether you get a big balcony or not. One little touch I loved was that at about 7:30 every night, a housekeeper comes to your room and presents you with a chocolate - if you're out, it will be left on your pillow and the bed turned down for you.
Food is of a high standard and choice is quite plentiful... breakfast and dinner are both equally well presented. I usually ate in the main restaurant, but a late breakfast is also offered in another restaurant at the far end of the complex on the clifftop. Lunch can be either taken at a pizzeria grill (recommended... lovely pizzas!) or at the clifftop restaurant... can't comment on that one though as I only used the pizzeria.
The public areas of the hotel are all absolutely beautiful... the reception area will literally take your breath away! The pools are quite large and well laid-out - the heated one (the first one you come to as you head downhill) was lovely and warm every day, and is perfect for less confident swimmers like myself as it's only 1m50 at its deepest point. Can't say a lot about the other one as I only used the heated one, but it did look lovely...! Both are "walk-in" as well, so you don't have to worry about getting out of your depth. There are masses of sunbeds near the pools as well, or if you prefer, a terraced solarium area overlooking the sea also contains a large number of beds - I never had any trouble finding a free one, even at lunchtime.
In addition, there are also multi-sport courts located near to reception with a tennis school also based there, a games room underneath the waterfall, and a gymnasium, sauna and massage area... be aware though, these latter three are located in the naturist area... it's well signposted, but brace yourself before going in...!
There's also a gate at the back of the complex which leads onto a sandy area with a slope leading directly down to what must be one of Fuerteventura's best beaches... absolutely breathatking!! It's apparently possible to walk to Jandia along the beach, but it'd be a good idea to look at the times of the tides first (they're on a laminated sheet attached to the gate) as it looked quite rocky in places. Keep a lookout for the chipmunk/squirrel things as well... they're very cute and so tame that you can actually take some food down and they'll take it from you!
There are two poolside bars (one on an island in the middle of the large pool, the other just inside the naturist area) and a further three bars in the main building - a large piano-bar on the reception floor, and two on the bottom floor - the entertainment bar, and a sports/games bar which extends into an outside seating area - the latter is open until 2am every morning.
Entertainment at the hotel is exceptionally well-organised without being overly "in-your-face"... there are hotel-run daytime and evening childrens clubs, and lots laid on for adults during the daytime ranging from water-polo, beach volleyball and aerobic-style activities to more sedate stuff like darts, archery and petanque (better for people like me - although they did get me playing water polo once as well)!! If enough people from both hotels attend, the beach volleyball is held as a competition between the Fuerteventura Princess and Club Jandia Princess.
For evening entertainment, you have the option of the piano bar, or live music 6 nights a week (very good resident band - the guitarist is exceptional!), with disco music on the 7th in the main entertainment bar - there's also a show on every night in there. I found most to be very good, but there were exceptions... avoid the Bee Gees if possible - my ears are still trying to recover...!! The entertainers also wander around the room when the band are playing introducing themselves and asking random guests to dance with them, which is a nice way to meet them - they're all very friendly and not aggressive in any way.
Staff in general really can't do enough to help you... some can't speak a lot of English, but if you make the effort with a few words of Spanish, they'll absolutely love you for it... I lost count of how many waiters/waitresses I got chatting to during the course of my holiday - they're all so friendly, and all seem extremely proud to work there - for those reasons, I'd have to say that despite its size, this is probably the friendliest hotel I've ever stayed at.
Security/safety at the hotel is extremely good as well... guards patrol the grounds regularly, and I noticed a lot of CCTV cameras dotted around the pathways between blocks and around the perimeter fencing - one is also focused on the gate leading down to the beach.
In conclusion, this hotel just screams quality at you from the moment you walk through the door. If you're looking for a place to chill out and relax in luxurious surroundings, I really don't think you could do much better than to pick this hotel - HIGHLY recommended, and I can't WAIT to go back!!!

The hotel was spotless as was the rooms clean towels every day if required there was a fridge which we could use at no extra charge.
The view from our room was wonderful there were about 5 pools one which was heated, no shortage of sunbeds either.
There were a lot of Germans at the hotel but every one tried to communicate with each other so there were no problems there.
The food was excellent there was something for everyone, two mornings a week they served champagne with your breakfast. There was a section for smokers non-smokers family's and also a section outside, this was lovely and we had our meals in this section whenever we could, but you had to get there early or towards the end as it was very popular.
The location of the hotel was fine if you were on holiday to chill out which we were, you could walk to Janida along the beach, which a lot of people did including us. Jandia is just a small town with a verity of tourist shops, i.e swimsuits clothes etc. but not much else. The walk was nice though it took about one and a half hours there and back.
The hotel staff could not do enough for you and were very friendly and I might add very hard workers.
The entertainment catered for everyone, there was a piano bar if you just wanted to chat and have a queit drink, plus an entertainment bar where there was something different going on every night, you could dance or watch the shows, most were very professional.
We would definitely go to this hotel again, we booked premium with Thompson's and our cases were collected from the hotel the day we left, and we were also given our boarding cards which enabled us to go to the departure lounge when we got to the airport. This saved a lot of queuing.

| said: Fuerteventura Princess Hotel, Jandia, Fuerteventura, Thomson, March 2005
We spent a long weekend at this hotel at the beginning of March 2005. Neither of us had been to Fuerteventura before, but we had been to Tenerife, so we were hoping for similar weather, but less tourist over-development. Before we went, we were a bit apprehensive about the weather, as the Canaries were experiencing the worst winter for a very long time. Luckily for us, when we arrived the situation was starting to improve and we had a couple of reasonably hot days, along with some of the ‘fuerte venturas’ (strong winds) that the island is famous for. It was about 20 degrees everyday, which was about 15 degrees warmer than the UK at that time.
The flight from Manchester was early and only slightly spoiled by the TVs not working in our section of the plane. When we arrived at the airport in Fuerteventura, we were quickly put on a coach for the transfer to Jandia. For some reason, there was no rep on the coach and nobody told us how long the journey was going to be. The journey actually took about 1 ½ hrs, and was a bit boring as it was pitch black outside and there was nothing to see. We soon perked up when we arrived at the hotel though.
The Fuerteventura Princess is the second drop off, after its sister hotel the Jandia Princess. The reception area is just stunning – a huge room with a ceiling as high as you might expect in a church with trees growing in the middle. We had to fill out a form at reception with guest and passport details before being given our room keys and a map. We were also asked if we wanted to use the room safe or not (approx. 2 euros per day), and this was charged to our room account. If you want, you can leave your luggage at reception and the porters will bring it to your room for you (you can see them driving like maniacs round the grounds on golf carts at all hours of the day). We didn’t want to wait so took our cases ourselves. Our room was in block 4 – about 5 mins walk from the main building. I can see people get lost in the grounds, because they are quite large. There are signposts to help you at each junction.
As we had arrived after dinner (about 9:30pm), the restaurant was re-opened at 10pm with a buffet of salad, cold meats, cheeses and bread. We ordered our drinks from the waiter, and they were charged to our room account. We were on half board so ate in the main restaurant at breakfast at dinner every night. We thought that the variety and quality of the food was really good and so was the service. It was about 11 euros for a bottle of wine and 2 euros for 500ml water. As other people have said, it is better to go for dinner after 8 when the main rush has died down. There were some outside tables, but it wasn’t really warm enough for us to want to use them. We also ate in the pizzeria one lunchtime and found that the food arrived quickly and was good value.
We had decided not to pay extra for a pool view room or a high floor room, and on initially seeing the view from our ground-floor balcony (another block of the hotel and a path), we rather wished that we had paid the extra, as we felt that there wasn’t enough privacy. However, we later discovered that the hedge in front of the patio was tall enough for us to sit outside without being in full view of everyone. It was great to sit out there when it got too windy to sit by the pool, as it was sheltered enough to make it a real suntrap.
The room itself was spacious and well furnished, and we were particularly pleased that it had an empty fridge, rather than a mini bar. The shower in the bathroom was probably one of the best I’ve ever used – hot and powerful. The only gripe we had was that it was cold in the room at night and there was no heating and only one blanket each. We managed to get an extra blanket each by leaving a note in Spanish for the maid, but I’m sure that a telephone call to reception would achieve the same effect. There was also a bit of noise from the room above, as the tiled floors meant that noise travelled quite easily – but unlike a lot of hotels we’ve been to, the maids didn’t start until 9am so it wasn’t too bad. The maids also come in while you are out at dinner and turn down the beds and leave a chocolate on the pillow.
The main reason for our holiday was to chill out in the sun, so we were pleased that we had no trouble getting sun-beds by the pools each day. It was very hot when the sun came out, so it was nice that there were wooden canopies to hide your sun-bed under if you didn’t want to get too burned. We didn’t use the pools, as it wasn’t warm enough – but there were plenty of people that did.
The hotel runs an entertainment programme everyday – details are on the board by the pizzeria. This was run in a non-intrusive way – just an announcement a few mins beforehand, not members of the team coming round in person to try and force you to join in. Chris had a go at the archery and really enjoyed it. There were loads of other activities available including a scuba taster, tennis and a children’s club (but there weren’t that many children around when we were there).
The evening entertainment is based in the main bar on the bottom floor. It seemed to involve a kids disco, followed by the house band performing various cover-versions of songs and then some sort of dance act. To be honest, this type of entertainment isn’t really our sort of thing, so we couldn’t really comment on how good or bad it was, but the room seemed to be more than half full each night. There is also a games room bar, and the piano bar, just off the main reception. We were quite happy to sit in the piano bar each night and talk whilst sipping cocktails etc. You can either sign for your drinks or pay in cash if you want to. A couple of times we took the wine that we had been drinking at dinner to the bar and no one seemed to mind.
We hadn’t intended to do any trips while we were there, and having seen the prices charged for trips by Thomson, we were glad that we didn’t! It’s worth noting that there are buses that go past the hotel direct to Oasis Park – there was a leaflet in the Platinum service lounge about this.
The reps were at the hotel for quite a few hours each day and there were ‘Welcome’ and ‘Departure’ meetings every couple of days. We were a bit confused about how the Platinum check in would work on the way back – but this was actually quite straightforward. You take your luggage to the ‘Platinum Check In’ desk which will have been set up next to reception at the stated times and then you are given your boarding cards. The transfer coach then picks you up at a later time – all the info is on the boards in the Platinum service lounge. If you wanted a specific seat on the plane, then I think that you would have to speak to the rep about it a few days before, as the seats were all allocated before check in. The transfer coach on the way back was a double decker, and we managed to get seats at the front on the top deck, which gave us a great view. We arrived at the airport with barely enough time to get a sandwich before getting the flight back home – which also arrived early.
In summary, this is a great hotel and was perfect for a short break from the gloom of an English winter. I don’t think that we would have wanted to go there for a week or more, unless we were going to hire a car, as there really isn’t much in the immediate area apart from Jandia/Morro Jable town and Oasis Park. But we certainly wouldn’t rule out going there for a short break again.

| said: Our second visit to this hotel and must say, still as good. The standard of service and cleanliness is second to none.
The remote location is one drawback but if all you want to do is relax under then sun then this place is perfect. More Jable and Jandia are just a short cab ride away for an escape every now and then.
Food is very repetitive but you certainly won't starve.
The entertainment is a bit hit and miss. Those of you who ever saw the Beetles tribute band would probably agree they were great but avoid going to the Disco bar early on as the resident band play then. A bit like a Sunday lunchtime at your local working mens club !!

| said: The hotel, advertised in Thompsons Platinum brochure, was rated 4*/5T.
Having stayed in similar category hotels in Spain I felt this was over rated, a good 3* would have been nearer the mark.
The hotel is laid out in accommodation blocks, three storeys and anything from two to ten units per floor. The sound insulation was very poor, normal everyday noises from neighbours were very clear.
The rooms were adequately furnished without being luxurious. The bathroom did not have a bidet and the extractor fan did not work. The cleanliness was exceptional and the staff, by and large, friendly, polite and helpful.
The dining room was buffet service, the food being of good quality and varied to reflect the diversity of nations it catered for.
Whilst we were there the largest pool was closed for maintenance for nearly a fortnight. The access to the pools and the beach arew not suitable for the less mobile, being built on a hill even the trip for meals in the main complex area was a drag.
There was also a fair complement of naturists, they had their own area screened from the main sunbathing areas, who had a monopoly on the two saunas and steam room. That is you were advised entry to the rooms was allowd in the altogether!
Whilst the hotel was the basis of a good holiday, it fell short of our expectations.

| said: Have just returned from an excellent relaxing get away from it all holiday.
Hotel is situated next to a superb very long beach. This is not the place to go if you want a lively night life.
The food was good, plenty for everybody. However, the evening meals were a bit repetitive. We stayed for just one week and found them getting boring, so maybe a problem here for those staying two weeks.
Possibly due to the design of the hotel, we suffered very little from the strong winds that the island is renowned for.
The pools are well designed, activities available for those that desire - but check the activity board - the tanoy system announcing the activities is hopeless.
Finally there are a couple of excellent large saunas for late afternoon / evening.
However, be prepared, the saunas are by the nudist pool.

| said: Although the buffet evening meal was good with plenty of choice, the Hotel offers an A-La-Carte Menu at the Pizzeria for no extra cost. The food there was amazing and the staff friendly. You had to book a table between 9 and 12 at reception on the day that you wanted to eat there. It was a set 4 course meal consisting of soup, small fish or pasta dish, main course and desert. The staff were more than happy to make up a mixed salad if there was a course that you didn't like. For me it was when the second course was fishy.
In the brochure it states that long trousers must be worn for evening meals - this does include jeans!
The hotel was very clean as were the rooms which were very spacious and comfortable.
Jandia town centre was an hours walk form the Hotel but you could get a taxi for about 5 euros or a bus for 1 euro. The bus stop and taxi rank are just outside the Hotel. Thomson offer an excursion to the market which is about 14 euros. Find out when market day is and get a taxi or a bus. It's loads cheaper.
The market was very small and a lot of the stalls sold the same items - fake sunglasses, watches and handbags. There were a couple of stalls selling individual, more unique pieces.
As the Hotel is built on the side of a mountain it is very steep in most places, therefore unsuitable for the elderly and disabled.
Entertainment during the day and night was there for those that wanted it. From speaking to others the evening entertainment was quite average.
There are several bars in the Hotel where you can go for a quiet drink which are very relaxing. The drink prices were very simliar to England. Maybe slighlty cheaper.
Overall, the Hotel was amazing and the staff were great. I would definately go back again.

| said: We have just returned from a really relaxing holiday at the Fuerteventura Princess. The hotel is really impressive as soon as you walk into the reception you can tell that it's a Platinum. The hotel was always clean and the rooms were spacious and comfortable. The pools were great and for saying it was peak season they were never too busy. The hotel says that sun beds cannot be reserved but this is rubbish. Shade is very limited therefore we found ourselves getting up at 6.45am to make sure that we got a sunbed under the terrace. I would say that this was the only real gripe we had. The food was amazing there was lots of choice everything was fresh you couldn't ask for more. Some of the drinks were a bit on the expensive side but because there is nothing around the hotel you have to put up with it. The hotel is quite a remote location there is a hotel to each side but that is it. You can get a bus to Jandia that cost 1 euro from outside the hotel. Jandia has all the normal kind of shops and bars you would expect. The market that is advertised as a thomson trip is rubbish do not waste your money. The market is small and full of fake sunglasses and bags etc. Thomson wanted around £10ish to take you there when it's 1 euro on the bus!
The entertainment in the hotel was just ok, it was varied but mostly quite poor apart from one night when the "Backstreet Boys" were on and they were great. All the staff worked really hard and were polite.

| said: The quality of the food was excellent and there was plenty of choice even for fussy eaters like me!
The staff were very efficient and helpful - most spoke far better English than we did Spanish.
Our room was tastefully decorated with all the amenities you would expect from a 4* Hotel. It was cleaned thoroughly every day and the beds turned down every night.
If it is peace and quiet you are looking this is the place to go. There are no other shops, bars etc., in the immediate vicinity of the hotel only those on site.
The evening entertainment was good - very international.
Day time entertainment was low key but available for those who were interested.
Not very suitable for people with mobility problems. The hotel sits on the side of a cliff and the pathways are steep from the rooms to the main hotel building

Complaints directed to management and Thomson reps were ignored. Staff were generally not particularly helpful and the entertainment was poor.

| said: We arrived on February 8th 2005 and left on the 15th. The hotel was very clean although the sparrows flying round the dining room at breakfast were an unusual sight. We found the food to be excellent for all meals. The staff were friendly and cheerful.
We had to ask twice at reception though for extra blankets(because of particularly cold nights) before they appeared.
The entertainment was of excellent quality catering for all tastes.
Watch out for the excursion programmes which, although good, are a bit pricey.
