| said: Decided to stay at these apartments after reading all the fab reviews. Glad we did, excellent apartments, staff very friendly and helpful. Room very clean. Had small problem with the front door lock, sticking, after reporting it someone came within 2 hours to fix. We had a balcony overlooking the back, gave us a bit of privacy from the crowd around the pool. Could also see the sea.
Two pools, Lower one is the deepest at 2mts and the top one 1.6mts. Also small childrens pool. Snack bar open all day with English staff. Small shop on site (24 hr) with large Netto obver the road.
Short down hill (not too steep) walk to main resort and beach. If hiring a car, parking no problem out front.

| said: Brilliant apartments in a near perfect location.
Up a hill but downhill to the bars etc and you don't notice on the way back. Can't think why!!!
We had a great time here and I hope to come back in September. Apartments have everything you need from kettle to hairdryer, even a fridge freezer, juice maker, coffee maker, everything. Near the bars and restauraunts but you don't hear them as the balconies and bedrooms are out the back. The sun streamed on to our balcony from mid-day until around eight in the evening, great for sun and privacy.

| said: We chose these apartments after reading good reviews on this website and were not disappointed. The apartments are ideally located in the centre of Puerto Del Carmen yet slightly off the main road up a small hill.
We were travelling with an infant and so the apartment facilities were very important to us - toaster, kettle, microwave, modern travel cot and own highchair in apartment which made our stay so much easier. We did not see any evening entertainment at the complex whilst we were there but this suited us as we knew it would be peaceful on a night for sleeping.
The apartments were cleaned regularly as was the complex - every morning the maintenance team were out cleaning the bottom of the pool and all around the sunbeds etc. All staff very friendly and helpful - there is a minimarket on site but we didn't use this as just over the road was a large Netto supermarket selling everything we needed (including all named brands)
Would be happy to recommend these apartments.

| said: We stayed at this apartment for two weeks and it was excellent. The location was central, set just off the main road up a small hill. The beach, bars and restaurants are only a couple of minutes away.
The apartments have two swimming pools, which are both kept very clean. We found there was a lack of sun beds for the amont of people staying there. You had to be up for eight or you wouldn't have got one. The pool bar has friendly staff and good food.
The room was kept very clean as the cleaners come round 5 times a week.
The rooms had everything you needed, fridge freezer, microwave, kettle, toaster, coffee maker etc. The rooms could do with air con.
The entertainment was`poor, the bar shut between seven and nine every night. There are so many bars close by that it wasn't a issue for us.
Overall the apartments were excellent and I would definately go back there.

| said: Travelled out in July 2005 with 3 of my mates for a bit of a lads holiday, not quite knowing to expect from the resort or the apts.
However, we got to the apts around 6pm local time, went straight to the pool bar where we were greeted by Tony the barman. Absolutely Top Bloke for a Manchester lad! Tony, John and Frida were all great bar staff. You can't really complain when you're sitting at the pool bar nursing a hangover and the inform you that the time is 'Shot-o'clock' and present you all with a tray of 'Tia Jacks' - Jack Daniels and Tia Maria on the house. Great pool bar with very good value food and drink though it could have done with being open a bit later on a night, fantastic staff, nice clean apts (only lacking air conditioning so I'd recommend buying a fan as soon as you get there).
Very handy for all the nightlife and restaurants, also with a huge Netto 30 seconds from reception which proved handy. Very poor entertainment in the hotel other than the pool table and table tennis and the craic with the bar staff.
Overall we all agreed that we had an excellent holiday and the Parque Tropical couldn't have been any better! Great people in the complex, mostly British aswell.
Puerto del Carmen was certainly lively enough without all the druggies and idiots you tend to find in certain other places. Perfect for a group of decent fun-loving, booze-loving mates, male or female!
I will certainly be going back!!

| said: All in all excellent - visited in mid July for 10 days - booked with Thomson - paid around £1000 (for two)for 10 days
We asked for a quiet apartment which was ideal. We could have gone out to the pool area (which was always busy). Our first floor apartment had a balcony (quiet) which was in the opposite direction of the pool and was ideal for sunbathing between 1 - 4. We also occasionally ate lunch out there too.
Facilities within the apartment was ideal - the only criticism I have is lack of air con - I did hire a fan from reception (15 euros + 5 euro deposit) but air con would have been better -
Reception was manned 24 hours a day and there is a mini market on site which is also open 24 hours a day - Netto across the road, and a slightly cheaper supermarket at the bottom of the hill.
Loads and loads of different eating places - most nights we turned left at the bottom of the hill - would also recommend turning right and walking all the way to the harbour for a good walk / shopping centre (small) and more bars and excellent restaurants.
Researched loads before booking and Parque Tropical appeared to be spot on - I wouldn't hesitate in going back.

| said: Hotel was great, it is up a small hill but opposite recepion was a supermarket (netto), which had everything you could possibly need at a very good price.
All apts are situated around the pool and they are cleaned 5 times a week. The pool bar is brilliant, we spent all our time their!! The pool bar serves snacks through the day and their is also a restaurant at the hotel.
The hotel has a little bit entertainment on but you were a 2 minute walk from all the pubs and restaurants anyway.
The hotel is excellent and I will definatly be going back.

| said: We had 2 weeks self catering and couldn't have asked for a better appartment! We were right beside the pool area which was lovely and clean.
There are 2 pools which was great for swimmers and a shallower pool for those who just like to cool off!! appatments were nice and clean with maid service 5 times a week. microwave coffee maker juicer and plenty crockery and utensils.
Apartments are in an ideal location for the beach and nightlife. Complex did have entertainment which we didnt go to but everyone else who went seemed to enjoy!
Can recomend Pinnochios excellent food, resonable prices, Chinese at bottom of the road also excellent.
We wouldnt hesitate to book these appartments again.

| said: We found the apartments very clean and spacious. Ours had recently been painted/modernised. Lots of extras i.e. toaster, kettle, microwave, coffee maker, hairdryer.
The location was excellent - just approx 100 yards up a slight slope from the main bars/restaurants etc. There was a cheap Netto supermarket across the road which stocked everything you could possibly need.
We found the staff to be pleasant & helpful.
No rush for sunbeds in the morning as there was plenty and had the extra comfort of mattresses.
Being self catering we left the apartments at approx 7.30pm each evening so did not see any entertainment but there was none advertised in reception either.
Good poolside bar which was English run and very friendly - did nice snacks.
Pools kept excellently clean and particularly liked the green non-slip covering around the pool area.
Would definitely rate these apartments more than 2 keys.

The complex is spotless, the bar area is perfect for mingling with fellow holidaymakers.
The apartments are perfectly equipped for the self catering types. They are spacious and clean.
The staff are very helpful. You can get extra cleaning services for a very small charge.
We would recommend this complex to anyone, we'll be back for New Years' Eve.

| said: Our stay at the Parque Tropical was great.
Lovely grounds very clean, liked the astro turf round the pool. The two pools were very good for sun bathing with plenty of sunbeds and mattreses for extra comfort
The apartments had all you could need, kettle toaster
coffee maker and microwave. Only down side was these are the only apartments we've stayed in where the maids don't make your beds except when they change them which was twice in two weeks. Towels were changed every two days.
The reception staff were excellent very friendly and helpful. We would recommend these apartments to anyone.
The location is great just down a short hill to the strip this is a good job as the entertainment at the pool bar is nil. Did do nice toasted sandwiches though.
Can't wait to go back again.

| said: We stayed for 2 weeks at the Parque Tropical, at Puerto del Carmen, Lanzarote. What can we say the apartments were exellent. The location was just off the main seafront, there is a gentle slope going too and from the Hotel so not really for the unsteady on foot.
The pool area was clean and well maintained and the staff very friendly. With my suntan still with me I can"t wait to go back next year. Did not try the food at the hotel but everywhere else was exellent.
One restaurant we did enjoy was Ponchos, and revisited it many times during our stay. Keep up your high standards Parque Tropical.

| said: To say I was surprised when I arrived at the apartments is a complete understatement. The complex, room, swimming pool and grounds totally amazed me...
This is by far the best self catering complex I have ever stayed in and I had a perfect week of relaxing around the pool listening to the pool bars music and having the odd drink now and then.
I will be returning to Lanzarote hopefully very soon but only if I can stay at the Parque Tropical.
BRILLIANT ALL ROUND A+

| said: stayed in the parque tropical apartments in pueto del carmen 1/8/04 for 2 weeks and must say i thoroughly enjoyed it. we were right in the heart of the nitelife. just at the bottom of the road. the apartments themselves were very clean and spacious and were well equiped with kettle microwave coffee maker plenty of pots & pans cutlery etc. we were lucky to have a pool overlooking the pool which made all the difference. the only down side is it was so hot in the rooms @ nite and there is no air conditioning. you can hire a fan for about 30/40 euros. the restaurant serves a great menu and @ the poolside bar you can get chips pizzas burgers which are really luvly. the waiters especially Phil from Birmingham are really nice and nothing's too much bother for him. the rooms are cleaned every day expect sat & sun & towels are changed quite often although it would have been nice to have had clean ones every day, but everything else made up for it. There is a mini market @ reception which opens 24hrs a day. this is handy if you run out of milk water etc late @ nite. There is no entertainment @ the bar closes any time between 6;30 to 8:00 which is a bit of a downer if you come back early and fancy sitting for a while getting to know other guests.
all in all i would stay @ these apartments again.
