| said: The rooms were quite clean and we had 6 people in our room including a baby. One of us was on the sofa which was very comfortable, more so than the beds. We go to Grancanaria every year and usually eat out every night. This year however we ate at the hotel restaurant every evening, the food was delicious and the waiters were very nice. The hotel was very near to the europa centre where there is a fantastic bar called extremez with dj Russ. Cheryl is great and the other entertainment staff are good too especially gaza. There is entertainment every night and fun and games for kids and adults. There are 3 games of bingo every day at 4:00, i won 112 euros.
I would definetely go to the eden again and so would the other 31 members of the group i went away with.

| said: Apartments are in need of some repairs, ie, floor tiles cracked or broken, bath enamel chipped. There seems to be a rolling programme of maintenance, must be hard to keep it repaired as it must be used for the fifty two weeks! Very attractive gardens were well kept. Pool was maintained to a good standard and kept clean and sparkling. Food in the restaurant was presented well and quite a good selection available. Hotel staff were excellent; Miquel, Santiago, Chirra, Kate and Cheryl also the Thomson reps, Hayley, Bex and Lucy made our stay here a pleasure.
Apartments are located on top of the steep hillside so a taxi will be required, unless you want the exercise! Fare is about three euros 30 cents to either Amadores beach or the beach in Puerto Rico.
Entertainment was the usual mix of singers, comedians, animal shows and a hypnotist. Bingo and karioke before and after the shows also a kid's disco.
Others we spoke to have been back to these apartments five or six years running, so that must say something.

| said: Eden appartments make an effort to give a quality holiday experience. The appartmnt was clean on arrival and regularly cleaned during our weeks stay by polite, friendly staff. OK there's cockroaches but it is like 74 miles from the coast of Affrica - they were here first! (and we only saw 3 indoors in a week)
Entertainment was good - happy hour was a good family event. The service from bar staff was excellent, friendly - nothing was too much trouble.
Great pool and poolside facilities. Location - on top of a hill. Bad points - you need one of the plentiful, cheap taxis to avoid a tiring walk. Good point - sun all day!!!!
Thompson rep was friendly but unobtrousive making sure we were sorted for all our excursions etc.
Sections of the complex were undergoing major renovation during our stay - not a complaint, a plus for our planned future visit to this friendly, safe centre. We'll be back!

| said: I gave this one star out of five only because there is no zero. The Thomson brochure recommended this as a 3 star apartment complex, but I would say 1 star would be a more realistic rating. The room we were in (room 52) did not appear to have been cleaned or decorated in a long time and was in need of major refurbishment. The bath was chipped and the tiles throughout the entire apartment were filthy, with the grouting being in an appalling condition.
Our room was plagued by cockroaches throughout our stay and the second bedroom was so small that the wardrobe for the childrens' clothes had to be situated in the main living area. Every time we tried to use the toaster the entire electric supply to the room would trip out.
Our balcony was situated right next to a high external wall, with the floor above also projecting out to completely block any sunlight we may have been able to get. We had originally requested a pool view when booking our holiday, but when we arrived we were given one of the furthest away rooms and were infromed that only returning guests would be allocated rooms nearest the pool.
On the whole I felt that our accommodation was so bad that I considered buying a timeshare at the newly opened Anfi Del Mar complex just to get out of our apartment. Thomson Holidays should be ashamed of themselves for trying to pass this complex off as 3 star rated accommodation. Upon complaining to them on my return, I eventually received a letter stating that they felt my complaints were harsh and that they had never had any complaints about these apartments before (which I find very difficult to believe).
This experience has made me determined never to book with Thomson Holidays again as I feel that they have have basically swept aside my complaints and fobbed me off with their standard customer services responses.

| said: I was dissapointed on arrival. The reception area was messy and cluttered, check in was quick but I was told our apartment was over the other side of the complex. With two cases, a buggy and a two year old, I hiked up two steep hills and seemed to walk for ages before I found our place. On entering the apartment I hated it. Badly decorated, dusty, horrid old bed linen which felt damp. At least there was a kettle, I quickly put it on and thought a coffee would make me feel better. Wrong...the coffee tasted of lemon washing up liquid, I washed it out twice and couldn't get rid of the taste! My little boy was very excited about our "holiday house!" so this made everything seem better. We left the room to find somewhere to get a lemon-free drink. I was pleased to see lots of kiddies enjoying the entertainment in the pool bar and was told entertainment went on until midnight. The entertainment was excellent as long as you were under the age of nine! I found two out of the three waiters very abrupt and sometimes rude, even though i went out of my way to tip them and be polite. The two waitresses were lovely and always polite and sweet. I found the Thompson rep to be helpful and friendly.
The food served in the bar was adequate and good value. I thought the complex and the walk-ways were quite pretty and it seemed that there was always someone cleaning or gardenning outside. We had four cockroach incidents in the room but luckily I sprayed the room every day so all of them were dead.
The location wasn't a problem for us, as we planned to swim and relax in the pool. When we did venture out it cost just 3 euros down to the main resort.

| said: The apartment complex has the reception, laundry and shop at low level and all the low rise rooms (only two storeys) above on almost a flat area. We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment here.
The apartment consisted of lounge /kitchen, bathroom, 2 twin bed bedrooms. The kitchen was equipped with large fridge/freezer, 2 ring hob, microwave, toaster and kettle. The rooms are serviced by maids daily with clean towels, bed making, and cleaning.
The provision of a cot was no problem (even though Thomson had forgotten to tell them we needed one).
The large heated pool (yes it is I found the inlet) with sunbathing area adjacent to the bar/restaurant, there was a second adults only sunbathing area on one of the rooftops, and (the other rooftops are covered by solar panels).
There are two play areas - one for small kiddies.
Although not on Thomson Super Family, Thomson still ran daily children’s activities through the day.
The restaurant served a good variety of freshly cooked food and was reasonably priced, the Sunday BBQ at 9€00 for adults and 6€00 for kids is great.
Entertainment was exceptionally good for a self catering complex (compared to our recent visits to AI hotels in Egypt and the Caribbean) and the crew were professional but friendly (Big Gazza and Cheryl, helped by Gary and Tracy) and down to earth. Even though it sounded very strange hearing Christmas songs whilst staring into a cloudless blue sky, and the temperature 28°C.
There is a "happy hour" from 4-5pm every day with all drinks (except hot drinks )buy one get one free, spirit measures are generous and ice is safe. The bar staff Michel (pronounced Mitch-ell, Santiago, Ben, Kiros and Naira are quick and efficient.
Eden Apartments are on the hill behind the Europa centre, there is a short direct path to the complex of shops (the Netto is there) and restaurants / bars.
Personal recommendations are El Brasero for really great T bones steaks and Tapas. Little Italy for pastas and Pizza. Extreemz bar for cheap beer 12 noon - 6:30pm (Dec 07 it was 0€95c a pint). The Cocktail Shaker for breakfasts.
Once you have walked down to the harbours (Puerto Escala or Puerto Base) or Amadores beach, the main Commercial Centre you will find the easiest way back is by taxi for the grand sum of 3€00c y u can be whisked up the hill in one of the many White and Green Mercedes taxis.
The overall impression is of a clean family based vacation where kids are a priority at Eden. We met other guests who return to the apartments each year one family returned for 7 years as they felt that for a November/December holiday it was cheap and the weather is always good.
A note on insects, there are no mosquitoes even by the lakes there are ants and cockroaches (Gran Canaria's national insect). We only saw 3 (2 were dead) in two weeks whilst here and none in the rooms.

| said: This was my first trip to Gran Canaria, and was pleasantly surprised by how scenic it was, compared to Tenerife.
We arrived at the Eden apartments pretty late, about 9pm, as we were virtually the last to be dropped off, so after a 4 hour flight we were pretty tired.
Also we were at the far end of the complex (room 55) which was up an incline - so by the time we got to our room my girlfriend was a bit grouchy. However, I made her have a walk down to the pool area to grab something to eat and drink.
She soon cheered up after seeing how nice the pool was and there was load of sunbeds so no problems in that department.
Next morning we went for a walk to see where we were and was pleased to see we had some great views - being at the very top of the hill means you actually overlook Andores beach not Puerto Rico.
The apartments themselves are pretty basic on the inside and I would imagine would feel pretty cramped for a family but with just the two of
us we had plenty of room. They are well kept with nice arched walkways between with hanging flowers etc.
The bar meals are fine, but we mostly ate out. Entertainment is OK with the usual bingo in the afternoon and a few different shows at night like the Bird Man or snake woman - kids seemed to like it.
The Euro centre is only 100 yards away with loads of variety - Lord Byron does great food like steaks etc. Yates fun pub and Mary D's have good 2 for 1 drinks if you fancy that. There's also a nice Chinese.
Word of warning - there's a so called English chippy on the corner which always seems like a good idea when you're on the wa yback to the apartment - don't bother! We tried pizza, kebab and burger from there and they were all awful! If you want take away there's a nice place in the middle of the complex called Mambo's I think which also does great breakfasts.
We didn't bother with the Puerto Rico beach, we walked down to the Andores beach every day. It's lovely white sand and blue sea and only take 15 mins to walk. Some nice places to eat while down there too - try London Pride if you want English food especially the roast dinner. it's about in the middle of the beach. I tried a variety of places and never had a bad meal.
The Reps tried to sell us the usual trips - including a new one to a meal and a show for only 20 euro. We didn't book any with the reps, and on our first day found the place just at the bottom of the Euro centre where the show takes place! and you can just walk in free entry.
I can't believe the reps tried to sell us that show - although she did say we'd be the last to be picked up and the first to be dropped off - not surprising when it's only down the road!!!
Also the ticket office is right there too so you might as well book your own trips.
ALl in all we had a great holiday - the sun never stopped shining and the Andores beach is lovely. I am definitely going back next November maybe for 2 weeks.

| said: I was very apprehensive about visiting this hotel after reading some of the write ups about it.....But when we arived there we were made to feel very welcome by the staff, reps and all the other guests.
We stayed in t 2 bedroom apartment which had a lot of storage space and also a decent sized kitchen area to prepare food, although there was only 2 chairs and a breakfast bar to eat at. Putting this aside the pool area was clean and staff were very very friendly, the thomson rep was always somewhere to be seen and if not easily contacted.
The Europa centre was just 2 minutes (if that) walk away where you would find may souvenier shops, amusment arcades, mini golf, electrical shops, bars, activities and lovely restaurants, which were very cheap indeed. If you prefered to cook at the apartment then there were to Netto supermarkets there too.
Travelling with two boys aged 12 and 9 they were kept occupied the whole time.
We were made to feel safe at the apartments as security are on patrol all night.
The weather was beautiful although i do like it hot, so it could become uncomefortable for those who do not like it that way. We will definately be going back again it was very reasonable in price for 10nights.
Just remember the proof of the Pudding is in the Tasting!! Happy Holidays

| said: We arrived late on the monday night, disappointed with first impression, however rooms were spacious and clean with all the facilities you require, apart from air conditioning, we arrived during an abnormal heat wave! We were very pleased in the morning though with the presentation and facilities for a family hotel.
Hotel was located up a very steep hill with great views, but a taxi is a must to the beach only 3 euros, beaches are well worth the visit. Most apartments overlooked the pool area or gardens which were very nice and colourful. Balcony's were excellent, room for patio table, four chairs and two sunbeds. Entertainment was a little monotonous with Bingo everday at 4pm, my husband and daughter loved it though! Kids club excellent, pool area nice and clean, a bit of a scramble for the sunbeds in the morning though. Food at the hotel was excellent value, but we opted to go to the Europa centre every other night for a change and found some great restaurants in the lower area across from the Europa. All in all holiday was good value for money. I must stress though this is a family hotel so expect lots of children!

| said: Arrived in Gran Canaria on 11 June 2007, this was our first time in the Canaries. Island very windy and appears mostly mountainous and bare. Long trip to resort (40 mins) after which time the Eden Apartments was the first stop. Not happy when arriving. I had specifically booked the Eden because I was under the impression that it was at approx halfway up a hill and I had turned down a cheaper hotel that I thought was further up the hill. Not so, the Eden is at the top of the hill and is a good distance from 'anything' of interest.
When we arrived I was taken by the general untidiness of the place, leaves, dust swirling/lying around and when I got to our apartment I wasn't happy; small apartment, faded decor, and everything just wasn't clean enough. There was a pay TV (1E/hr, which is a ripoff) and no oven, only a microwave that had not been cleaned in an age, and was probably passed the cleaning stage.
The complex has a good pool, with an OK bar that serves snacks and food with excellent staff. The entertainment was variable from very poor to excellent (the magician). Stayed at the Eden for 14 days. The first 10 days we hardly spoke to anyone as the complex seemed to be dominated by shaven headed gorillas with tatoos and football shirts who just growled at you if you made a pleasantry (and that was just the women). The last few days we found some families who were pleasant.

It is right at the top of a very steep hill but everything you need is within walking distance. Its only a short 3 euro taxi to town or beach.
Rooms were kept clean and serviced just about every day. The grounds were clean and tidy, shop at the hotel was cheaper than the supermarket at the Europa centre.
Entertainment was....well typical English club/Butlins style. The acts that came in were not what we called top class but some were very entertaining. But what do you expect for the price!!!
Food in the bar/pool area was quite acceptable, we ate there many times in our 2 week stay as it seemed so pointless to go elsewhere.
Europa centre has heaps of places to eat, top floor on the corner. Cant remember the name but I do remember the food. Great!!
Cockroach count - 8 in 10 days and when we mentioned it to reception, they cleaned up and treated the room and we saw no more for the other 4 days we were there.
All in all a good family holiday at a great price and would reccomend to anyone.

The security was fantastic and had a guard on through the night, plenty of things to do for children. The Europa is only 5 mins walk away with some great bars too especially the extreemze bar where Russ and the staff give you a great welcome.

The location was good. We were a little while away from the beach, but there was easy transport to and from further away places. The hotel staff were fabulous!! They were really friendly and great to get along with! Especially Santiago, he made a lovely birthday cake for us. We visited the hotel for the first time in 2005 and then again in 2006 and all the staff recognized us straight away which was really nice!
The entertainment was great, especially happy hour and bingo! There is children’s club every day and karaoke every night. Which Gary was very good at!!
We have visited this hotel twice already and are booked to go back in January 2008! We didn’t have any complaints about the hotel in any way, and we want to thank every member of staff for making our holiday the best holiday ever!
We will be seeing you all soon! The Jones family xx

The first floor 1 bedroom apartment had enough space for all four of us, two adults and a 15 and 12 year old. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Gary and Vicky were brilliant.
Lots happening during the day but you didnt have to take part if you preferred not to. Didnt see much of the evening entertainment because we went out to the Europa centre to eat.
Would definately return to the Eden Apartments!

Satetelite tv 1 euro per hour, cartoon network, sky movies 1, sky sports 1,2 or 3 depending on what sporting event they are showing at the bar, be careful after 12pm with kids as free xxx tv comes on.
The location is directly behind the europa centre which has small ammount of bars and restaurants, for 3 euro you can get a taxi to the main resort centre, be prepared to queueup to 20mins, for a taxi on the homeward journey if are out from midnight onwards.

| said: The equipment provided for self catering was just right had a microwave 2 rings fridge/freezer and most importantly a kettle. We did eat out most of the time so didnt really use them.
Apartments very clean with daily maid service we had a couple of problems but they were put right within minutes of them being reported nice clean pool and restaurant.
Outside toilet not very clean though and when busy in bar can be quicker to go back to room to use the loo. We did eat there on a few occasions and food was lovely and plenty of it definately got your monies worth.
Hotel is at the top of the hill but a taxi down to main centre is only 3 euros so cant really complain and not only that you have everything that you need on site with the europa centre just round the corner with plenty of bars, restaurants and shops.
Hotel staff were the same as 18 months ago when we were last there they are absolutely brilliant especially the bar staff as for Gary and Vicky the entertainers they were brilliant gave us all a good laugh. As for Becky who was training to be an entertainer she was fantastic my little girls wouldnt leave her alone and she took good care of them and played with them.
I would definately visit again.

Cleanliness non existent as bed linen was grey not white, towels only changed once whole week so smelled of damp(we used our own)which blended in with the general smell of the room anyway.
Pool area ok but sunbeds crammed together like sardines in a tin if you dont mind lying on a complete stranger then this is for you.Food however is cheap but burgers and chips usually are.
The only good thing about these apts are that we went low season and not high as is probably horrendous July/August.
Thank god we are never going back.

On the downside rooms were small and very basic and although cleaned regularly linen seemed very dirty.
Pool area also on small side with sunbeds crammed together ok in april but in July /August probably be a nightmare.
Will go again but too small for high season.

| said: Well, what can I say, chavtastic!!!Generally quite attractive complex with whitewashed buildings and shrubbery but, stained blankets, corroded light fittings, thin walls.
Butlins, very British,no cockroaches seen. Security man at night but no reception, public phone for use in emergency, good corner plot with nice verandah, can hear all babies cry and couples rowing.
Generally clean. No escape from PA system and piped music, bingo (when playing). Birds follow cats and cheep incessantly. No smoking not in force in restaurants except local chinese!!
Damp and mould visible in one of our rooms. Recommend dolphin watching trip and palmitos park. Drinks and food extortionate in park. No pretensions, nothing for teenagers. Huge shopping eating centre in PR, horrible plastic fantastic.
However, people friendly and cheery, sun shone all day too hot to sit out by mid afternoon.A bit cool by evening.
Entertainment not our cup of tea but seemed well attended. Hotel on top of cliff so unless you use taxis need to be fit to go into PR. Local shopping centre has most things except taste.

I travelled with a baby and they made a really small portion of chips for him.
The location was great, although it was about a half hour walk to the main resort of puerto rico there was a centre just round the corner which provided everything you needed and the taxis was so cheap you could get into the centre for 3 euros.
Although the scenery down to the centre was excellent.
The staff couldnt do enough to help. they was so helpful and friendly. and they always had entertainment on whether it be Bingo or professional singers.

The food here was lovely especially the breakfasts which I miss as they were so tasty.
The maids cleaned out room about 5 times while we were there which wasn't to bad, but all round the hotel was NOT dirty or smelly.
The staff were great 'Santiago' and the woman who worker behind the bar with curly hair, they were great.
The Entertainment wasn't that bad but could have been a bit better. OMG I loved to play bingo here and I won 5 TIMES which was great as I got some more money.
I would definitely visit here again and I have booked for September 2006 for this very place!!!

Staff very good and friendly.
Only the one bar on site which is fine as a pool bar, but not up to much in evenings.
Not recommended if your not 100% fit as situated on top of cliff and many stairs in complex.

| said: I was concerned about some reports on this hotel -especially regarding dirty sheets and the reported break-ins. However, I was presently surprised on arriving. Check-in was quick; the only drawback is trying to find your apartment, whilst carrying luggage and 2 sleepy kids.
Apartment was clean, and the maid came in every day except Sunday, even did the washing up as we had not washing up liquid on the first day. The only thing is that the sheets were definitely past their sell by date - tatty and stained, however you could tell they had been freshly washed. Quick point - if you want your towels changed, leave them on the floor !!! I made the mistake of going round picking them up, but the made changed them when asked. Thompson Reps helpful and there was always someone around.
Plenty going on all the time and the kids club is great - my daughter loved it, there is a playroom you can take younger kids too with drawing and making things. Entertainment a but cheesy - but what the hell - your on holiday. Good laundry room, internet PC's and small kids play area all off the reception area. Luggage & shower room available, for those travelling after checkout. Overall the Eden is clean and well presented, staff helpful, food OK & and the pool is lovely, but deep, no shallow end so watch young children.
For a 2* you could not do much better. Left my mobile in my room on leaving (hidden by my 2 year old) & the maid came rushing down to find us before we left!
Whilst the kids are young, we would go back.

| said: My wife and I, together with our 2 sons aged 10 and 8 travelled to the Eden Apartments on 28 November 2005 for a 2 week stay on a self catering basis. Quite frankly, i wish we hadn't.
The room was only cleaned once and that is because we did it! and the bed linen was changed twice in a fortnight and the ants..arh!.
The food was OK but we mainly ate out.
The Eden is high up and not suitable for the elderly.
The Staff at the apartments were friendly enough while we were there but the 'entertainment'was very, very poor.
Gary the DJ tried his best but looked like a fish out of water at times. He maybe new at it, i don't know. The supporting acts were terrible. There was one female 'singer' on and if she sang and acted in the way she did over here in England she would be pelted with rotten veg!.
The other act was parrott man, who was just some bloke showing off his collection of Parrotts!and they expected us to get showered, changed and put on our best toggs to watch him whilst drinking their flat lager!
In the first week we had a potentially violent domestic which took place next door and the reps had to get involved and we had rowdy youths on the other side of us who used to slam doors between 2-4 in the morning and run up and down verander singing at the top of their voices until we had to knock on them because they we waking up our children, they had no consideration.
If you like 'Chavs' or you are a 'Chav',then the Eden Apartments are for you! We will never ever set foot in them again!

| said: A brilliant couple of weeks. However; apartment smaller than I would have liked. We had a first floor, one bed apartment with limited storage space.
The balcony was very close to neighbours with no privacy at all. The cleaners came regularly, but we had the same tea towel all fortnight and sheets were only changed once. That said, the staff were excellent and location wasn't a problem for us as we hardly left the complex.
We went to the Commercial Centre once, but got so fed up of restaurant touts we didn't return. We also took a 13 euro taxi ride to Puerto Mogan (would recommend that) and a trip on Spirit of the Sea, but dolphins day off! We also, regretfully, went on a trip to Anfi only to be bored stiff for 4 hours.
Kids were catered for by brilliant kids reps and we enjoyed the quizzes and waterpolo! Although we went self catering we ate in the pool bar most of the time, food was good and reasonable (and also meant avoiding persistant restaurant touts in Europa Centre)On site shop was mailny cheaper than the Netto in Europa Centre.
I would definitely go back again.

| said: It was my first time to Puerto Rico, although my 3 daughters had been several times but never stayed at the Eden. The Eden was more than comfortable and the accomodation excellent.
We had 2 x 2 bedroomed apartments and we all thought they were more than adequate. Staff were extremely friendly and maid service was very good. Although we were self catering we did eat quite often at the Eden and the food was excellent. Didn't find the entertainment very - how can I put it - entertaining?!
My grandson thoroughly enjoyed the swimming pool area - one downside was a pool table by the swimming pool. This became rather conjested with older guests driking whilst playing pool. Unfortunately several times glasses were broken which was extremely dangerous as children were running around barefoot. The pool table needs to be moved away from the swimming pool. Another thing to watch is both the bridge over the pool leading to the 'club' area and also the hump type ramp leading to the toilets at the swimming pool. Both areas are very very slippy and my daughter fell badly at the toilet 'crossing'. We saw several people, adults and children slip and fall on the wooden bridge.
On the whole the Eden was lovely and should I ever return to Puerto Rico (which I doubt because I didn't like all the hills ) I would stay at the Eden.

My Dad broke his Achilles tendon 4 months before we went and when he was there he did it again he was gutted!
He couldn't believe it! The reps were a big help!
But even one of the reps said she was disgusted with the emergency contact line because none of the people on the other end of the phone could speak English which meant that it took half an hour 4 the rep to say that we needed an ambulance!
Apart from that it was fine, my dad said that the hospital treatment was excellent! Better than it was in England! He had his op there you see!
If you are up for a good time and enjoy a laugh it is the best place to go!
It is also very very good if you are going with your family, it is great for kids!!
Thank you very much Eden Apartments it was the best!
I cried when I left all day!!

| said: The Eden has basic rooms which are a bit small and not brilliantly clean but as you are only really there to sleep, they are adequate.
The poolside bar serves a good variety of food which is quite nice and very reasonable compared to outside bars/restaurnts. I would definately recommend the breakfast.
Location wise, the Eden is at the top of Puerto Rico which isn't the best part of the resort but it does have a shopping centre very nearby where there are plenty of bars and supermarkerts. A taxi to the bottom complex where it is about four times bigger and better will only cost you 3 euros each way and is definately worth doing.
The hotel staff are pleasant and helpfull.
Entertainment at the Eden cant be faulted, there is something for everyone from a very good hypnotist( which I took part in) to an Abba tribute group and an excellent DJ( Thank you Mark for making my holiday!). Make sure you visit the BBQ on Sunday night which is definately worth the money.
Be wary of some of the trips they offer you to gon though such as Sioux City which we found to be a real dissapointment ecspecailly the free food, the free beer however was good but the show wasn't brilliant and it seemed expensive for what you get.
There is a pool which is clean and spacious but no seperate pool for children as stated in brochure which was a shame but my kids went in anyway so it did't really spoil it.
We were warned to be aware of mosquitos but I hardly saw any. I did see a few cockroaches in the room though they were quickly sprayed and died. (Dont stamp on them or they will release eggs and breed!)
Overall I would recommend the Eden - if you have kids they will love it and even if you dont it has something for everyone!

The pool was big and people still reserved sunbeds with towels but the reps soon removed them!
Hotel food was good and cheap and also quick service for those who were starving.

The kids club was brilliant, the reps were fantastic and Vicky the entertainer who had the hardest job of all was fab. She was there all hours of the day playing games in the pool and doing the kids disco at night.
The rooms are cleaned five times a week, you have a huge balcony with 2 sun loungers on every balcony plus your usual table and chairs.
The TV's are run on Euros (1 euro per hour)and has channels for everyone. The onsite supermarket has pretty much everything you would need and there is also a Netto's just around the corner. There is also an on site launderette with iron and board.
I personally loved this place I only got back yesterday and am already looking at re-booking for July. There is also a lady who does nails, pedicures, massages and hair braiding by the poolside.
The food on-site is very good and very cheap happy hour every day (4-5). Drinks are buy one get one free.
Different entertainment every night.

The only other concern we had was the security as there was numerous break ins in apartments while we were there. The staff in the bar/resturant (santiago, eric, ben, and mitchell) couldn't do enough for you and the food was really good as well.
Entertainment staff Mark, Vicki and Streach were really good as well, they kept you entertained every day, and the turns they had on the evening were good as well.
The only other problem we had was the Eden is situated on top of a mountain so if you are super fit then great if not be prepared to spend money on taxis and buses.

Had a great holiday, staff excellent and friendly from the waiters to the reception, rooms of good size and clean although can be quite chilly in the evening in Feb.
Food very good and well priced as with the drinks.
Pool was great and heated to 25oc. Entertainment around the pool was good fun with a DJ as well (Gazza well done)
Overall a great place if you have kids. 5 out of 7 days sunny and hot, great.
Also a great crowd of people were staying at the time we went (21-28 Feb.) had a good laugh.
Will be booking soon to go again in Sept or April, pity the rooms will not accommodate 2 adults + 5 children.

Its location will give you none of these without leaving the complex. We were also unfortuanate to have a ground level apartment next to the pool which was less than attractive.
Bed linen was clean but old and soiled and towels smelt musty.
Staff at the apartments were very friendly and helpful and the poolside bar gave excellent value for money. We did get a little fed up with the incessant entertainment, particularly the afternoon bingo but each to their own.
I thought the pool temperature (as it was winter) could have been a bit warmer but it was certainly more pleasurable heated than not!
Overall, if you get a nice room location this isn't that bad and it offers great entertainment value for families who just want to stay at the complex and want this type of holiday. But we won't return in a hurry!

The staff were all very friendly & extremely helpful. They were all really helpful when my parents came to suprise me for my 21st birthday - They hid them until they saw me coming in and then kept me talking so my parents could rush to my apartment before I got there. I then had every member or the Eden wishing me happy birthday all day after that.
The Food at the pool side bar is really cheap but very good quality!
The rooms were lovely - 2 huge sofas, brand new kitchen & ceiling fans in lounge/bedroom! The only thing I would have improved on is the bathroom.... it was ok but a little bit dated.
The only problem we had was noise from the path leading from the Europa centre at night but that wasn't very often.

| said: I stayed there with a friend in November 04. It was ok but with some problems. But maybe its changed since then. For some reason nobody seems to mention that there is a huge hike up if you are located near the top. Its a very high slope and easy to trip therefore would not recomend for families. Otherwise rooms are adequete and kitchen area as well. Bathroom smelt disgusting strong smells of sewerage. Needed a good clean in my opinion. And maybe drains needed to be looked at.
Pool and bar ok no problems. Weather was ok. I didn t like the big mall at peurto rico. Full of hagglers. Even in the shops when I tried to bargain I was called a liar for trying to haggle using a price I was given in another shop in order to try and make them lower their price. Excuse me but I though that was the point of haggling.
Me and friend were shouted at for not going in certain clubs that owners were trying to make us go into. Its pretty tacky and I would not return to this resort.

The so called kids pool was an unused Jacuzzi, and it always looked murky. No shallow ends in the main pool for kids and non swimmers.
The rooms could do with cleaning a bit more like clean towels, as they get filthy every day with the beach, pool and showers, and they never dried properly.
Little bugs all over the place. But didn’t see many cockroaches as I said the staff did try very hard.
The bridge across the pool is dangerous as well I don’t know how many times kids slipped and banged their heads.

| said: This hotel is exactly as stated in the Thomson brochure. EXCELLENT!!!!
We travelled with 2 children aged 9 and 12, and 2 friends and their son who is 6.
We could not have asked for better accomodation, 2 bedrooms both with ceiling fans, a spacious lounge cum kitchen diner. The kitchen area had a large fridge/freezer (Brand New), microwave, kettle, toaster and cooking rings. The apartments were kept spotlessly clean and the only time the maids did not come in was on changeover day.
The kids club was great, and all the kids loved going. They also enjoyed the entertainment of an evening, in the hotel bar.
The hotel is directly opposite the Europa shopping centre, however, the small on site shop is a lot cheaper than the large Netto supermarket, which is in the centre, and the on site shop is suprisingly well stocked.
The food at the hotel is excellent (TRY THE CHATTAUBRIAND @ £15 for 2 people) there are lots of other meals to choose from and we were never disappointed. On the other hand we thought the drinks were quite expensive, particularly if you have kids like ours who drink glass after glass of pop without quenching their thirst.
The Europa centre doesn't offer much in the way of choice as far as entertainment goes, but if you get a taxi down to the bottom centre (£2) there are loads of pubs, clubs and restraunts. Also for some reason the drinks are unbelivably cheap we found bars on the top floor selling Carlsberg for 65 cents a pint, WKD for 2 euros, vodka & red bull 3 euros a pint and other shorts with mixer for 1 1/2 euros. Loads of good deals in the restraunts too, you can get a 3 course meal for 6 euros or a chinese banquet for the same price (£4.20), but do beware if you walk along the 2nd or 3rd floor you will be stopped outside every restraunt by staff trying to tempt you in (its better to have a look during the day when the restraunts are closed, but the menus are outside).
If you get a chance, go on the dolphin trip, its FANTASTIC!!!!! All of us thought it was great...

| said: I stayed in the Eden with my family for 2 weeks and what two fantastic weeks they were.
Right from the start we were hit by the superfamily atmosphere with two kids aged 5 and 8 it was ideal.
The first day we put them into the kids club run by 6 fab girls they were then kept amused for the rest off the two weeks.
We were entertained by the pool day and night and the best part of a evening has to be the rep show.
My god how hard those reps work I couldn't fault anything.
It's near the top centre for meals etc and then you can go to the bottom for nights out.
I would recommend these apartments to anyone thanks a lot girls you were excellent !!!!!

| said: This was our first visit to Gran Canaria, and it certainly will not be our last.
This was the best holiday we have had by far. Everyone was so friendly and nice.
The apartments were very clean. The apartment block outside was also very clean and the pool was cleaned daily very thoroughly.
All three children enjoyed all the games organised by the reps.
We enjoyed this holiday so much, we have already booked again for next year.
So watch out Neil, RADAR will BE BACK !!!!.

| said: Just got back from the Eden hotel on the 13/08/2004, and what a great 2 weeks.
First time there but not the last, we are hopefully going to book up again for next year.
The Entertainment was brilliant (not to sure about the Madonna tribute to loud and not very good)Neil and Vicky are both excellent, Loved all the water games. The happy hour and the bingo are a must the prizes are very hight my newphew won 135.00 Euros about 90 quid, you must buy the cd,s the mix one and the kids one good to listen to when you get home.
The Reps are wonderful (I have been to other Thomson hotels where you do not see or hear from there reps.
Definetly a place for the family everyone is catered for. The bar staff are brilliant very friendly. The only problem I had and a few others is an ear infection which we think come from the pool.

The kids reps seem to have all the time in the world for the kids, and nothing was ever too much for them.Vicky and Neil were stars and our youngest eddie(MONKEYBOY) would not leave their side, both lovely people who made our holiday the fun time that it was. Our two older children loved karaoke and the kids disco, and dare we miss it or even mention going out somewhere else!!!!Amarillo is now what we sleep and breath! We recommend any family looking for just the best of everything to visit the eden.Thankyou stretch,Vicky and Neil for eveything x x x x
