This was my first time at the Natura Palace. Considering we were here in the height of the summer the hotel was only 60% full and very quiet.

Lovely, clean hotel. Nice spacious rooms, friendly staff. Excellent selection of food both at breakfast (not english sausages though) and dinner.

Two big pools, freezing when you first get in, but you warm up quickly.

Downside was the entertainment left a lot to be desired. I went for 1 week and saw one decent singing act.

The other thing I was disappointed with was the air conditioning. We complained that the reception area and evening entertainment area were too hot, no evidence of air con at all. There was air con in the rooms but again nowhere near cool enough.

All in all I had a nice relaxing week in lovely surroundings, but I wouldn't go back. I like to be entertained.

We have just returned home from our second visit within 6 months and have immediately booked to return next month.

The hotel is excellent value for money and it is difficult to find any faults. The rooms and public areas are kept very clean and are of a very good standard. The grounds including the pool areas are very impressive with plenty of space for everyone. One good point is that sunbeds can't be reserved before 9, so early mornings to get one are not an issue at all.

The food is very good and you can always find plenty to eat from what is a large choice on the buffets.

The staff are generally very good and obliging.

The entertainment is pretty good although not always professional and to every one's taste.

The hotel is located about half an hour's walk along the seafront prom from Playa Blanca. Taxis are a plenty and cost around 3.5 euros. There a a couple of local bars and restaurants outside the hotel. The nearest beach is about 15 mins walk away but you can get into the sea outside the hotel over the rocks ok if sand is not what you are looking for and you simply want to cool off in the sea.

Stayed for a week, overall couldn't fault the cleanliness, immaculate throughout... rooms good, only concern that we had twin beds pushed together which rather detracted from the romantic break that we were looking forward to ;-)

Good bathroom, hot water in plenty... maid service excellent throughout.

Only downside as per the room, is lack of kettle/tea/coffee making facilities - we bought a cheap kettle but later found out that you can rent them from reception...

Food - although we were on half board we only ate in three nights... the buffet was a bit "samey" and some of the food was tasteless... I would think that there wouldn't be much to interest picky teenagers. Breakfast was good though, plenty of variety and great coffee.

Hotel staff friendly enough, reception helpful.

Entertainment, well if you like lip-syncing and naff games then it's ok for you, but butlins style entertainment doesn't do it for us...animation team kept things happening during the day, but not at all pushy about things...

Pool bar/cafe was the worst bit, poor service, slow, orders forgotten/wrong drinks/staff seemed to be in permanent disarray...the hotel was about 50% occupied when we went, god knows what it'll be like at the height of the season..

On arriving at this hotel I was first impressed with the lobby. High vaulted entrance with full glass walls at both the front and the entrance to the pool area. Staff on the desk friendly and efficient and your luggage was taken to your room by the porter.

The rooms were spacious and comfortable the bed was enormous, perhaps some more pillows could have been provided. Towels changed if you left them on the floor and you also had bathrobes each, make sure you get the right size as it seems the smaller one is for the ladies :).

Meals were buffet style and always plenty of choice my only gripe was waiting for the majordomo to take you to a table and the fact that tables for four were only set for two, seemed strange to me! The waiting staff in the restaurant were always smiling and never seemed to stop bustling about the area.

The only downside was the entertainment which consisted of what I would call circus type acts. If they could only improve the entertainment it would be a great place to chill out as others have said.

The pool area was never too busy and you could always get sunbeds and the small snack bar had excellent cakes to eat.

This was my first time in Lanzarote but I would definately return to this hotel again.

This was our second visit to this hotel, having visited in October 2004. A stunning hotel, with a lobby larger than many hotels.

We were welcomed in a friendly, professional manner, with our cases taken to our room by the porter. We were upgraded free of charge to a junior suite which was lovely.

The hotel is quiet, and if you are looking for a lively, entertainment packed young persons hotel, go elsewhere. for what we wanted, a very comfortable hotel, with nice food, good service and good weather, it fitted the bill.

Don't bother with excursions, except for the Timanfaya one, which we did 2 years ago and that is great, but others, like the venture north etc were overpriced and not really worthwhile.

We would go back to this hotel for a thrird time without question

We usually reside at the Timanfaya Palace for our annual retreat, which is about half a mile nearer the town of Playa Blanca.

The Natura Palace was recommended by other members of our family, and so we booked three rooms.

The hotel is very clean and generally quiet. We prefer a laid back relaxing holiday, without the prizing from the sunbeds to take part in activities by sqawking reps. No bother here, if you want to do golf, darts etc, then the animation team quietly walk round the pool area without waking you from your semi-concious state.

Nighttime entertainment is limited, but again, that suits us. (A few gee and tee's in the piano bar will suffice.)

The food at breakfast and dinner was very good with plenty of choice. The waiters are efficient and polite.

A quiet hotel to chill out for a week or two.
If you are after all day activities, and evening entertainment and wild drinking sessions, go elsewhere, Playa Blanca is not for you.

We will be returning when it is time to chill again.

We went as a couple to the Natura Palace, and I must admit I was worried about how far out the hotel seemed to be from the Centre of Playa Blanca, but once we got in the hotel, we were both very very impressed.

The Reception staff were very friendly and spoke fantastic English, and a porter took our cases to our room for us, which was a nice touch after an early morning flight.

Our room was very nice, very spacious, with a very comfortable bed, the bathroom was clean and had bathrobes etc waiting for us. But the best was the balcony. We had a sea/pool view balcony, our view was just like the one from the Thomson brochure, picture perfect, it was a good size and had a table and chairs on it, and it was angled so that the people either side couldn't peer over.

The food was lovely, personally I am a very fussy eater and I managed to find something to eat every night, the seafood night went down especailly well with my partner. The pool bar was also very nice, the staff could sometimes be a little abrupt, but noting to complain about. If you tried to eat in there between 12 and 1 then obviously this is their most busy time so they will be rushed and maybe abrupt and maybe a little slow at getting to you, but we went a little later and they were fine, no problems at all.

The evening entertainment could maybe have been a little better. We ventured into the main bar one night and decided not to bother again, we would have a jug of Sangria in the Piano Bar most evenings then take another jug up to our room where we sat on our balcony enjoying the view and the peace (and the tribute act music from the bar).I think maybe the piano bar could have done with a little music, other than the violinist and the guy on the organ.

The pool area was lovely, you couldn't fault it. There are 2 pools, one is sea water, the other is normal pool water. They are a little cold, but once the midday sun is out, the cool water is very welcome!! Also, the jacuzzi was lovely and generally you could always get in it. We found that maybe if they played a little music around the pool it might have been nice, but most people have ipods etc now anyway.

Whilst reading various other reviews about the hotel, we did notice that it was a Naturist resort, which we were a little concerned about, and obviously the first thing we did when we got there was to go and see if we could find the Naturist Area, but its right around the back of the hotel and to be fair nobody seemed to use it, it is definitely not and "in you face" naturist resort. If I hadn't have read it in a review, then I woudn't have even known about it.

I would def recommend this hotel to couples of any age as long as its a chill out holiday you are looking for. Fantastic!!

Just came back from 2 weeks at the The Natura Palace, and what a beautiful place. Room looking right over the bay to Fuerteventura, beautiful!!

Hotel was luxury, rooms cleaned every day, towels changed every day. Food great, staff great. Reps good.

If anyone wants a change of scenery & food just turn right at the front gate & there are a few little restaurants and bars highly recommended.

Couldn't really fault the whole holiday apart from the odd dodgy hotel act!!!!

We had some concerns after reading some of the reviews, but there was no need to worry we found the hotel to be really lovely.

Our room wasn't quite ready when we arrived, but usual check in over here is 2pm - so we just had a wander and a bite to eat in the pool bar.

Service wasn't bad at all- and the sandwiches when they came were fine (they came toasted, which we were not expecting-but still good).

We had a Junior suite as we went with our thirteen year old daughter, we had a bedroom with the bathroom off( with a spa bath, slippers and a bath robe each) it and there was a sofa bed in the lounge area -which was really a proper bed and much better than we thought. The balcony was huge with a patio set and three sun beds! The view was fantastic, the sea was right in front of us - with a view of the pools as well.

The buffet style meals were lovely with so much to choose from! And bucks fizz for those that wanted it for breakfast.

Some of the staff did not speak much english-but enough to understand what you required, and was not a problem.

Entertainment in the evenings was alright, the tribute bands were probably the best.

We could not fault the cleanliness of the whole hotel.

Location wise, it took us about half an hour to walk to Playa Blanca from the hotel-this was a gentle walk along the promanade which is the quickest way to go.

If you catch a Taxi it will cost about 3 euros, make sure that you order it fairly early in the morning we tried to get one about 12ish and the hotel staff could not get through to the Taxi company.

Stayed in the Natura Palace for 2 weeks. We are in our early 40s and had our 14 year old son with us and 2 elderly parents in their 70s.

Hotel was excellent. Rooms superb with a big sofa bed for our son. Superb sea views. Location is quiet BUT a pleasant walk to the nearest beach and town. Taxi to town approx 3 euros.

Food was buffet style and was superb, plenty of selection, however staff seemed overworked. Dinner anytime between 7 and 9-30.

Entertainment was good on the nights where it was a musical show ie tribute bands etc however every second night was a variety acts ie jugglers acrobats etc, not our scene.

Upstairs bar was very quiet and really is just a piano bar to chill with a drink or 3.

Decor is of a very high standard

Cleanliness superb, maid service every day, clean towels etc, bedding changed twice weekly.

Plenty of sunbeds which were good quality, not the white plastic type. You did not need to go down at crack of sparrow fart to leave your towels there.

Kids activities were varied. The animation team do their best and young kids are well catered for. Teenagers probably less so although there is a football pitch, table tennis, rifle shooting, gym etc

Only criticism is that they seem understaffed, especially in the poolside bar at lunch where service was poor.

Better to go across the road at lunch and down the steps to the little bar which serves a nice pint and good food.

You must visit the Rubicon marina which is at the other end of Playa Blanca. Absolutely superb and costs 5 euros in a taxi.

We have stayed in many hotels over the years and this is one of the best.
I cannot understand why people are negative about it so dont worry!

We have been regular visitors to Princess Hotels in various of the Canary Islands for some years and felt that the standards have dropped in the lasy year so, we thought we would try a change. Read a glowing review of the Natura Palace on Holiday-Truth and went for it.

Standards are similar to the Princess but not really fully attained. Very comfortable, nice rooms, clean and good food standards but, attention to detail not what it should be. Finish in the room bathrooms not really up to scratch. Shower head broken, tiles not properly finished, bit of a musty smell, nothing really serious but not to the standards we would have expected.

Within the hotel in general, not enough staff on the bars in the evening. Suprisingly very little English or German spoken by any of the staff. We witnessed quite fraught staff relations at times. Again nothing serious but certainly things that we have never experienced at Princess Hotels.

Our biggest disappointment, mentioned by other guests as well was a complete lack of atmosphere in the bars and entertainment area's in the evening. No great 'Buzz' about the place. However, a relaxing week away and at least we were reminded of the great standards we had perhaps taken for granted at the Princess Hotels.

This was our fist stay here having stayed at both the Timanfaya and Rubicon before. At this level both your expectations and concerns are escalated but it is only what should be expected from a 4 star hotel.

Negative first.

Frequently no pool towel and the staff in the pool bar were very poor. They often charged incorrectly and delivered incorrect items in often long periods of time.

Sunbeds always a problem as there were 246 when counted which is just 1 per room which can take up to 4 persons and when requested the duty man refused to enforce the no reserve rule as displayed around the pool.

Good bits.

No problems getting in the resturant with plenty of varied choice. Staff levels at a minimum.

Room service was fine and to a good level.

In summary a fine building with some irritating concerns which don't spoil your holiday but take the edge off it. My advice is stay at the Timanfaya.

This stay at the Natura Palace was our forth time and what a shock we got with how the service etc., had deteriorated.

The restaurant was in our view totally understaffed because at every meal time there were queue's at the entrance and when you did manage to get inside all you could see was empty tables with dirty pots on them. Even whilst we were eating our meal the dirty plates from the previous course's were still on the table. Also in the restaurant the meal portions have been reduced so far that we doubt that they would satisfy a young child. We also found that quite a lot of the food on display and being served was cold.

The Bars in the hotel are supposed to operate so that there is at least one open all day until 1am. But we found that if you were out for the evening and arrived back after around 11-30pm you will most probably miss out on a nightcap because the bar staff will have locked up and gone home.

The Hotel is in a beautiful place and was a top class Hotel but whatever has happened to the staff is effecting the running of the hotel and at what we saw you cannot call this a Platinum Hotel or even a 4* Hotel. As I said to start with this was our forth visit to the Natura Place Hotel and each other visit we have been full of praise for every thing to do with the Hotel. So something must be going on and someone on the management side must know about these things.

After the week we had we have decided that no way can we return again to the Natura Palace Hotel unless we hear that things have changed for the better.

I loved this hotel. Breakfasts, Dinner and staff all excellent. But I like buffet style eating, some may not.

The room wasn't cleaned to clinical spotless standard, but we are fussy and it was fine. Room itself had everything we wanted. Bring your own kettle, iron though - but there is a hairdrier.

Hotel pools brilliant

They lend you towels and robes for the sunbeds, and you get fined if you lose them. A good side effect, was that people didn't hog the beds if they weren't really going to use them. We had not trouble getting beds when we wanted them, and the hotel was full

I gave 5 for hotel location, as it was in a quiet area, where we could chill out. However if you wanted a beach, then you would probably only give it a 2 as there isn't one. The nearest is 5-10 mins away, but its quite small.

As someone else said, it seemed to be occupied by couples whose children have left home, or those with infants.

We walked the length of Playa Blanca most days, and we agreed that anyone booking into the Natura was in with a better chance of getting a good sea view than any of the other hotels, as every room as has one. We also thought it looked the nicest, and the gardens were great.

The lounge areas of the hotel are massive, with loads of space to go and relax.

The SPA treatment my wife had at the adjoining building was excellent.

My only real complaint, is that the evening entertainment shows were held in a room where they left the main lights on, which hardly lent itself to a "show" atmosphere. But all in all , highly recommended

We specifically chose a Thomson Platinum hotel as we had heard so much about the luxurious conditions, the excellent customer service and the overall pampering that would be provided. We were severely disappointed.

The restaurant was run as a fast food cafe with plenty of choice for vegetarian and fish lovers but little to choose from for meat lovers. The meat that was provided was often over-cooked and dry. The bar service was often hit and miss and relied heavily on the new bar manager to get things organised. Often we just got a bottle of wine from the shop across the road and took it to our room, it was easier.

One of the pools was in a disgusting state, all brown and dirty, when we arrived. It was not cleaned out for a couple of days so needless to say, we gave swimming in it a miss. We had to pay 9 euros a day for the tennis court and raquets. This was extortionate compared to other hotels that we use and they were not in a very good condition.

We had looked forward to being suitcase free on our final day as the holiday was advertised as hotel check in for the airport. This service did not exist and was no different to any other hotel that we have used in the past.

It is a shame that our experience in this hotel means that we are unlikely to go "Thomson Platinum" again.

We visited the Natura palace for two weeks. The hotel is wonderful as are all the staff.

The room was large and very clean. On arrival our room already had a travel cot, which was in excellent condition, all made up with mini sheets and blankets. The sheets were changed every other day. The bathroom was spotlessly clean and there was always hot water available. We were on the third floor and the view over to Fuerteventura was spectacular.

We ate in the hotel every night apart from one and we didn't tire of the food. It was always fresh, well cooked and tasty. You would be hard pushed to have not liked something. The salads are wonderful as are the desserts. They even cater for people on diets with low calorie desserts (the ones on the glass dishes) and low calorie yoghuts etc at breakfast. Chips are available every night if that is what you like (in a metal container on the left hand side opposite the chef cooking food). But for everyone else there is a big choice of all sorts of food.

There is low key entertainment available during the day, the "animation team", who are all really nice, discreetly come around and ask if you would like to participate (no loud speakers or anything to disturb your peace). They do lots of different things ie. table tennis, boule, archery, rifle shooting, football, aquarobics and many more.

The evening entertainment was good (my sixth month old liked the Bee Gee's - say no more!).

The hotel is made up of about an equal mix of English (all travelling with Thomson or Portland) and Germans. The clientel are mostly of an older age group but we found they were wonderful with our daughter and very good company.

In conclusion, this hotel is wonderful but don't go there if you want an action packed clubbing type holiday. It is the perfect place for a relaxing holiday.

The Thomson reps Hannah and Katie were brill and always happy to help.

Hope this review helps I could tell you so much more and all of it would be good, I hope you enjoy your stay as much as we enjoyed ours.

One last thing the hotel is a little way out of the resort centre and even though it is an easy walk (straight along the promenade) it may not be suitable if you wish to be in the heart of things.

Very hard to find fault with this hotel. Exceptionally clean and well maintained, inside and outside.

The food deseves the 4 star rating although like most buffets, it can be a bit of a dogfight.

Staff courteous and efficient.

Only 'complaint' is that the hotel is situated a good half hours walk from the centre of Playa Blanca.

Tip - take a day trip on the ferry to Fuerteventura 30 euros return but worth it for the extra dimension it gives to your holiday.

We stayed in this hotel in October 2004, a family including a 17 & 14 Year old as well as us old fogies.

The hotel was excellent, very clean & tidy, with a lovely seafront setting.

Entertainment was not important to us.

The facilities were lovely. Yes, it was quite a walk into Playa Blanca, but we did it a few times 1 way, taxi the other which was very reasonable.

We had very good weather, and perhaps in bad weather there may be a limited amount to do, if you need outside entertainment. We chilled out, read in the sun, ate lovely food and enjoyed ourselves.

We'd definitely go back again.

The Platinum check-in etc was worthwhile as well, a no hassle journey.

This is a beautiful hotel, with lovely spacious rooms and public areas.

It seemed to be occupied mainly by older couples looking for a relaxing break.

There isn't much to do in the immediate vicinity - the nearest shops and beach are 15 minutes walk away and Playa Blanca itself is another 15 minute walk. But a taxi costs only 3 euros.

Rooms are well equipped with TV, mini-bar (reasonably priced), hairdryer and toiletries, and ours had the biggest king-sized bed I've seen! Bathrobes and beach towels are provided.

Food was excellent, with a large buffet selection of high quality. There's even sparkling wine at breakfast!

Entertainment was OK, with tribute bands, acrobats etc. Daytime activities weren't that great though.

Staff were friendly and cleanliness was superb.

I would certainly go back if I was looking just to relax for a week.

Our stay in the Natura Place was amazing.

It was the first time me and my boyfriend went on holiday together. We payed a lot of money(as we are only young(17,18) and it was well worth it.

We stayed for only a week, I wish it was longer. The first sights of the hotel was wow! and it just got better. To me it was a high 4 star, as I work in a 4 star, it was a lot cleaner than the hotel I work in.

It looked all clean in hotel, when we got there they said a 20min wait for our room, but we went after 5mins and got our room, it was great, nice and clean.

The hotel was cleaned well. The maintenance guys were good, a light was broke in the pool, he actually got in the pool in his clothes and fixed it.

Location was a bit far out, but it was a lovely walk.

Food was good, especially desserts. Yook quite a while to get our drinks 1 night but no big worries.

Restuarant manager was amazing.

Entertainment was good too( beach boys tribute, backstreet boys and others) were great.

The hotel itself is situated with fantastic views out to sea and nearly all rooms have this.

On this visit the hotel didn't live up to expectations built on previous visits. On this occasion it seemed severely understaffed and was not up to the standard I would expect of a 4*+ hotel.

The pool area was dirty reception was chronically undermanned.

The maid service was average (they tidied but did not clean).

Food was adequate but again the hotel was full to capacity and the staff could not keep the buffet filled quickly enough.

On the plus side the entertainment was good, especially for kids. But go to the bar for drinks, if you wait for the waiter service you'll go dry first.

The Thompson service is exceptional, especially platinum check in, and the service from the Reps is second to none.

Me and my girlfriend were undecided about where to stay in Playa blanca a choice between the Rubicon and Timanfaya was quickly void as they were both filled. The travel agent came up with the Natura Palace, which funny enough sits right in the middle of the two. The hotel is a hotel ie not spread out over miles of grounds (Like the Rubicon). 80% of the rooms face the pools and sea with great views so you likely to get a good room. The pools that don't look to large are excellent never crowded. Bed reserving is apparent but your don't have to get up mega early to get a couple. Food was brilliant, still i don't think the spainish chefs understand we us English say well done we mean "Cook the dam thin properly", i never heard of medium cooked Pork and chicken! But no problems. The snack bar is limited and would be one of our grips, lots of fly's and not very good food. Found ourselves eating at Flamingo Snack bars. The hotel is keep extremely clean, our maid was a little lazy she didn't change the sheets for 4 days at one point, but on a moan it was done. Entertainment was excellent not one night did we leave the hotel i felt like i should have paid extra, (Bee Gees Tribute, Temptations, Chinese Circus)

The location is a little isolated which is perfect if you want a quiet relaxing break no main roads go infront of the hotel, just a walkway that runs the entire length to Playa Blanca, then the sea so really nice. The walk to Playa Flamingo Beach (The man made one) is 16 minute walk. The beach is excellent white sand and clear water. There are peddalos and a jet ski and a bannana boat. With also some resturants to eat at.

The hotel staff were nice, but the resturant staff were spainish and not Canerian so they are a little rude sometimes and don't do everything to please. It took 20 minutes to get a teaspoon at breakfast for example. But nothing major.

Overall and excellent holiday i highly recommend Thomson the Platinam check in at the hotel was brilliant and the camel hump excursion is out of this world. Also the water park had been refurbished and is a must.

Hope this helps

Brilliant hotel- better than other 5T hotels in the Platinum brochure. The rooms were very good, with a view of the pools and the island of Fuerteventura. Even the single room was bigger than most twin rooms elsewhere! Bedding was changed every other day.

Food was excellent both in choice and standard.

The location was a little secluded but there is a nice promenade right into Playa Blanca and the walk, at holiday pace, took about 20 mins or so.

The only drawback for us was the safety deposit boxes which were behind reception. We prefer to have a safe in the room.

Kids thought it was the best holiday ever!

Working our way through the platinum brochure and this is the best, by far-so far!

My husband and I visited this Platinum Thomson hotel in April/May this year. The hotel is outstanding. The public areas/bedrooms/restaurant/bars and night club were all excellent. There is a spa at the hotel and 2 pools as well as a jacuzzi. The pool area is beautiful with plenty of beds to go round. No need to bring bath robes or pool towels as these are complimentary. This hotel is ideal if you want a relaxing quiet holiday (no kids) with good quality nightly entertainment. The ferry to go to Fuerteventura is only a 20 minute walk away (3 euros in a taxi from hotel) and is worth going to see.

This was our 1st trip to Lanzarote and we would definately go back again to this hotel.

We all enjoyed our week in this hotel and would have liked to stay for two. It was clean, comfortable and spacious. The staff were very polite and helpful without being pushy. The drinks and meals that we paid for whilst there were at very reasonable prices - not like some hotels we have stayed in of the same category. We hired a car and particularly enjoyed visiting the fire mountains and Manrique's house. The weaher was good for most of our week and several of us loved the snorkeling from the little beach just outside the hotel - loads of fish! We are probably going to go back to the hotel again this year as we enjoyed the holiday so much.

Lovely hotel with beautifully furnished rooms.
Good choices in the restaurant. Beautiful beach location and poolside areas were first class.
Long walk into town with no bars or restaurants nearby.
so this location is for people wanting a quiet relaxing holiday without the nightlife. Entertainment in hotel was very good.
