| said: We loved this hotel. Fantastic for a relaxing holiday with peace and quiet although it is also suitable for children to play in the pool.
The pool area was lovely. The pool was a good size and very clean and well maintained. The sunbeds were comfortable and as it was nearly the end of the season we had a choice of where to sit. There is plenty of space so imagine the summer should be OK. We turned the beds to look out over the garden and countryside towards the sea to enjoy the wonderful view and benefit from the sea breeze. The poolside bar served drinks all day and had a good range of snacks at lunch time. All were very reasonably priced.
The rooms were pleasantly furnished with the usual wooden furniture and was sufficiently clean upon arrival. The cleaning during the week was a bit erratic but not a problem. We did however have to request clean towels which were then provided. I have read report elsewhere saying this was a problem because Olympic are on a fairly basic cleaning contract but don’t know if this is the case. The staff were helpful and friendly.
We had booked room only but upgraded to B&B as this only cost 2.50 Cyprus pounds for adults and 1.25 for children. Can also pay on daily rate of £3cy. Breakfast had cold buffet, English hot buffet, cereals, pancakes, toast, cake, Tea, coffee, juices so very good value indeed. Dinner is available in the restaurant for just £6.50cy but we preferred to go out but other guests were regularly using the restaurant.
There is a good tennis court, a volleyball court and a pool table. Internet access available in the lounge area with satellite TV with English Channels in the lounge also.
Location; Although the hotel is not in Latchi or Polis we liked the location. The hotel is situated among fields and olive groves with quiet country roads with not much traffic. You notice the quiet location and can just hear the crickets and birds! The walk into Polis is not great as along the main road, but there is a partial footpath so fairly safe. Takes about half an hour. We used taxis to come back in the evenings and this costs £3cy.
The walk to Latchi is much more pleasant. The quick way via the main road is about 20 Min's. Although this is along the main road there is a wide footpath and this is separated from the traffic by a flower bed!
The much more pleasant alternative even though it’s a bit longer is to go down country lane, cut through some villas and reach the sea (about 5 Min's) and then walk along a pavement that has been built along the beach. This takes you to Latchi harbour.
