We came upon The Triton Hotel by chance when visiting Kos Town for the day and decided to stay - eventually staying for 2 comfortable nights – this enabled us to explore the town at our leisure and sample it's cosmopolitan nightlife; we enjoyed two lovely meals within the old town without needing to worry about returning to our resort each night.

This 3–star hotel is conveniently located directly across the road from the main beach in the centre of Kos town, next door to a peaceful park.

There are plenty of local shops nearby: supermarkets, newsagents, a couple of bars and a patisserie selling fabulous cakes is right opposite. It's the ideal place to base yourself when visiting Kos town as the main old town within the city walls, and harbour is merely minutes away by foot.

Parking is free ‘on street’ around the hotel vicinity.
The hotel has been recently renovated to a high standard, and is decorated in cool neutral shades having laminate flooring, modern furniture and furnishings throughout.

It has 45 rooms, most of which have balconies and we were lucky enough to get a corner room with a sea and park view.

The rooms are good sized with en-suite facilities comprising of wc, hand-basin and half bath with very efficient shower. In criticism I would say that the bathroom needed a extractor fan is it did become quite steamy when the shower/bath was used and also the wc was a little cramped in behind the door. Soap, shower cap and a mini sewing kit was available as was a plentiful supply of toilet paper and tissues.

The bed was very comfortable and extra pillows and blankets were available if needed. The room also had a safe deposit box, efficient air conditioning and a mini-bar and useful triple glazing which succeeded in keeping out the local road noise. This was noticeable at peak times only.

Breakfast was continental style buffet : breads, ham, cheese, jams , cereals , fruit , and yoghurt ; with addition of scrambled or boiled eggs and frankfurter sausages. Staff were very pleasant with excellent command of spoken English.

The room was thoroughly cleaned each day and linens changed.

The hotel was excellent value and we enjoyed our stay , we would recommend it and would happily return there again.
