| said: Good 4* hotel. Fast check in. Room very good with separate sitting area, kitchenette, nice clean bathroom with good shower, smallish balcony with table & 2 chairs.
Beautiful pool area, although sun only until 5.00pm. Plenty of sun beds, if a little close together. Well equiped gym. Used it the second day, intending to use it everyday; don't know what happened the rest of the two weeks.
Pretty laid back entertainment, good jazz trio one night. Only ate in the Adega restaurant at the hotel on one night. Good meal, typical Madeiran fare. Bar was a bit pricey, as are most hotels.
Didn't know if a fortnight was going to be too long, when we got there, but really enjoyed it. Really chilled out. Nice complimentary cocktail party one evening where we had a few very nice glasses of wine to set us up for the evening.
Would certainly think of retuning to the Miramar if we return to Madeira.

| said: Stayed in the Village Hotel. Although the pool was closed for renovations we were happy to use the pool and changing rooms in the Miramar, connected via a covered walkway.
The mini kitchenette in the room was a life saver with an 18 month old to look after.
The town centre is about 20 minutes walk down a long hill, the hotel zone is the other direction.
Hotel staff very friendly, they love youngsters. Did not bother with hotel entertainment, so low score there.

| said: I thought that the Pestana Miramar Village Hotel was an excellent hotel, with many excellent qualities.
The staff were friendly and helpful, the food was excellent and varied and the rooms were kept in an excellent condition (having a televisions in the rooms was a big bonus as well!)
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay there, and after staying there twice already, I am positive that I will visit there again.
The pool area was a great place to relax in and the health club had a lushious jaccuzzi, sauna, steam-room and power shower which I enjoyed using.
Overall I thought that this was an excellent hotel, and I would really recommend people staying there.
It is suitable for couples, families and people of all ages, so visit there and have a holiday of a lifetime!

| said: Post New Year festivites makes January a quiet time of year,however the facilities at the hotel,the friendly staff and cleanliness were all excellent.The outside BBQ near the Village poolside has a delicious range of lunchtime grilled foods & salads,recomends are grilled sardines and in the evenings,the Adega Restaurant with their Espada and skewered beef(espetada).Also they have a good Italian Restaurant outside their front gates ideal for takeaways. These are ideally informal & not atall expensive for the quality served,where young children are made very welcome.The entertainment was somewhat sedate however,you can visit other Pestana themed entertainment evenings at reasonable cost.(Try their dine-around tickets for a good deal).All within easy walking distance. Location is ideally central and easy for visiting all attractions.
