| said: We went to this hotel on a time share exchange.
It is part Hotel part time share as a lot of the 5* hotels in Madeira are.
The Hotel was clean but old and tired looking.
We were told it is due next year for a re fit.
We ate at the hotel bar and resturants the food was good but expensive.
Location I thought it was about the best in the area apart from all the building work going on.
Both sides there is major building going on. 2 new hotels.
Not finished untill Dec 08 at the earliest
The builders work 12 hour days 7 till 7 . 6 days a week.
Can't fault the staff, the best I have ever met.
Entertaintent.
Poor only saw a man on the piano in the bar and a couple singing by the pool. We went out most nights.
When the buliding work is finished and the place as been refitted I would stay there again if I got a good price.
Mostly for the indoor pool the spa and the location.

| said: We had a Terrace Suite, which was excellent. The difference between Tower and Terrace suites is that The Towers have a fully fitted kitchen. Staff excellent, response to any problem was swift and positive. Spa facilities (Turkish bath & sauna) excellent and free of charge. Hotel restaurant, whilst more expensive than most outside produced excellent food. Building work on both sides was intrusive but all in all an excellent choice.

| said: All I can say is that my family and myself had a wonderful time in this hotel. The staff were polite and helpful at all times. We were half board, and both breakfast and evening meals were well presented and appetising.
The rooms were clean and well equipped and the view from balcony overlooked the sea and pool as did most rooms. The pool area was clean and tidy and towels were provided as well as sunbeds and umbrellas free of charge.
The location of the hotel was just outside of Funchal but a courtesy bus was provided on the hour for the short trip into Town Centre. I would recommend this hotel to families with children as well as couples.

| said: Spotless hotel with large rooms.
Food good if you like fish, but a rather poor selection for a 5 star.
Entertainment was the same for our second week as the first which we thought was poor.
The free bus to Funchal was excellent, always punctual.
Staff were really good throughout the hotel, nothing was ever too much trouble.
Overall, a lovely hotel, but found Madeira a bit too hilly, and we're quite fit!
Would only re-visit if a real bargin came up.

| said: I stayed here with my mother and we had a lovely time. The staff were very friendly and helpful and spoke excellent English. Our room was great, we had a beautiful terrace overlooking the sea and pool with sunbeds and a table and chairs. Everything was very clean and there was a television with a wide choice of channels (including the hotels own) and a mini bar.
The hotel itself was brilliant. It has a sauna, steam room and jacuzzi as well as an indoor and outdoor pool. There are also a wide range of treatments available. If you like to keep fit on holiday there is a full gym as well as a squash court and regular aerobics classes. I did have good intentions but somehow never made it to the gym!
The breakfast was wonderful with such a great choice.
There is a bar with evening piano music which was very pleasant and a nightclub which is open until 1am. The entertainment was different every night and very good. They also have a disco and are happy to play requests! The drinks menu was excellent and reasonably priced.
There is a regular courtesy bus from the hotel into Funchal which we found to be very useful indeed. Also the hotel has free internet access.
All in all we had a great time and would definitely return to Funchal and stay in this hotel.

| said: As a special treat we booked a suite. It was worth the extra. We had a beautiful living room with dining area, a very spacious bedroom and the bathroom had a lovely walk in shower and a jacuzzi. The balcony was the largest I have ever had, about 25 x 25 ft with table and 4 chairs,2 sun loungers with mattresses and large sun brolly. Towels and bed linen changed daily. Mini bar stocked daily.
Breakfast was nothing less than a feast with plenty of choice to suit every taste.
All the staff were very friendly and very helpful.
The pool area was very clean with plenty of sun beds.
All in all a wonderful relaxing holiday.
Can't wait to go back next year.

| said: From the moment we arrived this hotel lived up to its 5* rating. All of the staff were very helpful over any queries we had and all of them we encountered spoke excellent English. Due to its design virtually every room has a full or partial sea-view. The rooms were cleaned evry day with new towels and bed linen and each had the usual mini-bar, hairdryer, cable TV etc. The bathroom had a large separate shower cubicle as well as a bath and was finished with marble tiling.
There was not too much in the way of entertainment, although there was a pianist each night and there was a magician for one night whilst we were there. Being on a B&B basis we only sampled breakfasts which were plentiful. There was an offer of 3 meals in any of the restaurants for 82.5 Euros, however this did not seem such a great deal when you consider that it would cost 30 Euros just to turn up and eat at any of the themed evening meals. A saving of only 7.5 Euros for this meal plan. a great pool area overlooking the sea with free towels and sun loungers.
