| said: The Bologna is very much a business type of hotel and is part of the MinHotels chain.
The reception area is smart and the staff quickly dealt with us and gave us our keycard. Went up to our 3rd floor room and was pleasantly surprised as the lights came on automatically as we walked into our corridor. It was the same when we opened our door and the room lights and (remote controlled) air con came on automatically.
The room was clean with the window looking out onto the street. We had a kingsize bed and Sky tv + all other things that you would expect in a modern hotel.
The room was noisy at night with the traffic outside but with the shutters/windows closed and the air con controlled from the bed it was easy to find a good balance.
Breakfast was typically continental but slightly un-inspiring. Dining room staff were very efficient and helpful.
Overall we were happy with this hotel. The desk staff were slightly impersonal and rarely spoke when we returned (I didn't get a single 'buona noche' all weekend). The room was clean, comfortable and not too far from the river but it was quite a way from the Leaning Tower etc.
This hotel is recommended.
