| said: This hotel is much better than many 3 stars I have seen and I think should be a 4 star. It is built on a steep hill and there are lots of steps throughout so not suitable for elderly.
On arrival at the hotel we were greeted with a lovely fruit cocktail by the very friendly staff.
The lobby is an open sala style. All the rooms are individual bungalows we were in room 209 and were very pleased with it , it was spacious and cool and very well appointed, decorated in a contemperary thai style, the bed was lovely and a nice touch were the beautiful cushions at the bottom of the bed and the mosquito net above it.
The bathroom was lovely and spacious in a semi outdoor tropical style ( along with a visiting lizard)
there are 3 lovely pools, the one at the bottom being a little busier and larger than the top 2 which are lovely and quiet.
The food - we did not eat at the hotel in the evening as we like to go out but the breakfast was beautiful and buffet style.
At lunch we ate at the reef cafe down near the beach - I can honestly say all the lunches we had were beautiful and I usually had a baguette sandwich, fruit platter and soft drink for 240 baht - very reasonable.
There is a centara spa at the hotel and I did not use it but it looked very good, on the beach just next to the hotel was a massage place where they offered a few different treatments, a thai massage was 400 baht, this place seemed to attract a lot of the hotel guests.
Location, very far from anything but a good courtesy bus to Lamai and Chaweng saved the day, we used it every night and had no problem reserving it - we got our own taxi back as the last bus back is 09.45 - way too early for us.
I would probably only recommend to people looking to relax in quiet surroundings as it is quite far from the action.
A lovely hotel - would definately stay again.
