Hotel Palma Nova, as its name suggests, is situated in the popular tourist area of Palmanova, a beautiful beach just 15 minutes from Palma de Mallorca, where you can spend a very pleasant holiday by the sea, soaking up the sun and practising your favourite water sports. The hotel puts on a wide variety of activities and services for all ages. It has two swimming pools, one for adults and another for children, a large garden, a playground and, like all our hotels, an excellent entertainments team who will organise lots of games, competitions, dances and shows.

we stayed here a couple of weeks ago and it was brilliant, the food was excellent, plenty of choice for breakfast, lunch and dinner, the daytime snacks were good as well, the only downfall was the nighttime snacks, it was bread with no spread and cheese or ham and some kind of pizza?? but plenty to drink of course, you can get up to 3 drinks a time which saves everyone going to the bar, each time. the entertainment staff work very very hard and do put on good shows, they are all very friendly, but some of the bar and reception staff let them down, some of them are very abrubt and not friendly, but i suppose we are in their country. other than that, clean towels every day, as long as you leave them on the floor in bathroom, room not cleaned but who cares about that? would defiently stay here again.

Hotel Palma Nova
Agree with the other reviewers who complained about the noise. This was our second year there - last year (possibly because we went a bit earlier in the season) it was 18-30ers making a racket in the corridors at 3 and 4AM returning from Magaluf - we thought it would be quieter if we went later and there would be more families. Big mistake! Believe me, the Mums and Dads and Grandparents make a lot more noise ALL the way through the night - give me the youngsters any day. Nice hotel, well located, decent food, but no way will we return. 3 times in 2 years my wife and I had hols over in Playa de Palma/Can Pastilla amongst the Germans and Spanish and never had a disturbed nights sleep. If you like most of your fellow guests (mostly Brits) to display the breeding and manners of the average pigsty, this hotel is for you. If you prefer politeness and a bit of peace and quiet to sleep, check the Travel Companies' brochures and then book somewhere they don't go.........

First time to Palma Nova. Always wanted to go. As the saying goes' been there done that and would not go back'. Sold as a family holiday but certainly was not. Too many groups of young male and females who caused a lot of noise and disturbance when returning from Magaluf night clubs. Food was cold if I must say, as I have read reports about this hotel before I wnet and thought these people was just nit picking but I am afraid they were not. Entertainment was the worst I have experienced abroad but the kids enjoyed themselves, which made the holiday. This is a beautiful hotel but would be even better if the staff would learn to speak and smile a little.

I have just returned from the Palma Nova Hotel. I visited this hotel last year and it was a lovely family hotel. Not this year since being taken over by Thomas Cook the hotel was over run with young and old drunken yobs who ran riot all over the hotel at all hours of the day and night. Thomas cook do not advertise this hotel as young and lively but believe me it was terrible. The hotel it's self is very nice the food is very good and the location is great. The entertainment was average just typical holiday entertainment. But the hotel was badly let down by Thomas Cook. I met a lot of people who were there last year as well and we all agreed we would not go back. So if you are aged 18 - 25 tops then this hotel is great over that age and with families avoid this hotel at all costs.

Recently returned from a lovely holiday at the Palma Nova Hotel. The hotel was clean, and our room was cleaned 6/7 days we were there.

The hotel is situated a little way out of the main resort but this was not a problem for my partner and myself as we enjoy walking during the evening.

First time we had been all inclusive and it was well worth it! There was plenty of choice of food, definitely something to suit everyone. Also had a choice of snacks available in the restaurant between meal times.

There was always entertainment during the day which you could join in with if you wished, but the staff didnt harass you to take part which was good. Good entertainment during the evening with bands, acts and caberets.

An excellent holiday, great weather, nice hotel and lovely food/drink always available - couldn't fault it at all!!

We have just returned after spending one week in the Hotel Palma Nova. The location of the hotel is great, just a couple of minutes walk and you are at the beach and resort centre. Buses are very easily accessible into Palma and cost 2.75 euros. The hotel is spotlessly clean, rooms are cleaned everyday with towel changes. Food was good and plentiful, although, on occasions it was cold so you had to warm it up in the microwave. The entertainment was the worst we have ever seen and really lets the hotel down. We will not be returning to this hotel simply because of the entertainment.

The hotel is ideally situated close to the beach and the Golf Fantasia. the food was always very good and had plenty of choice.

All inclusive meant that you had no excuse for being hungry.

The rooms were kept very clean and the public areas likewise. 2 pools and always plenty of sunbeds.

The staff were very friendly and always helpful. the only drawback was the lifts that were very slow, also the internet access was always occupied by children and more control should be exercised over this.the keyboards could di with being changed as the were unreadable.

A good hotel amd worth a visit.

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel because overall it was a great hotel. We were all inclusive and the meal were great with lots of choice every meal time. Hotel was always kept spotless and the room was cleaned every day. The rooms in this hotel have lots of room in them which was good. The hotel location is great because it is just a two minute walk away from the shops and beach and the hotel was right next door to a fifty four hole crazy golf course which was great for all the family so I would recommend it. The staff were good but some of them nead to learn how to smile but others were a great help. The hotel entertainment was ok with bingo, quiz and mini disco for kids. There was also some shows which were good but look out for xerox which was great and very funny. We had a great holiday and would come back again.

We stayed at the palma nova hotel in june 3 couples went and it was brilliant!! Definatley returning next year!
The hotel is very clean and modern, maid service daily.
Food is very good plenty of choice and tasty. Drinks very good too sanmiguel on tap nice!!! Bar staff quite grumpy though.
Entertainment excellent bingo nightly with big prizes. Plenty going on through the day water polo, darts, killer pool, crossbow etc. Hotel entertainer really nice he gets every one involved but leaves you alone if you just want to chill.
Excellent location minutes from the beach and right next to the big golf fantasia which is good fun we went several times.
Only a few down falls the lifts are really slow even though theres only five floors and we arrived at the hotel early morning to find our rooms wernt going to be ready until mid afternoon which was a bit of a pain. But all round a great hotel, highly recommended!!

When we first arrived at the hotel we only had 3 beds in the room and not 4.

I went to reception to report this and before I got back up to my room the bed had been delivered. We were on the 6th floor and our room overlooked the pool and the bay, the room was cleaned daily and clean towels left, the beds were made. The only complaint I had was the maid kept turning the air con off.

The food was plentiful but basic and we did eat out a couple of times because we were fed up with chips. The staff in the restaurant and bars are very friendly and all talk very good English.

The main pool is large and there are plenty of sun loungers(but you have to be up early to get one) but the hotel was trying to stop people reserving sun beds by removing towels that had been left on beds with no sign of any users, there is a smaller kids pool and a sand pit and kids play area.

The hotel entertainment team keep you busy in and around the pool if you want to join in (good fun).

Entertainment on the night is ok, some nights they have acts in and other nights the hotel entertainment team put on a show, there is bingo and quizes and kids disco every night.

The hotel is only a short walk from a big sandy beach (9e for 2 sunbeds and a parasol)

We would recomend this hotel to friends and family and we are going back.

We have just returned from the Hotel Palma Nova and had a fantastic time.

The hotel is in an excellent location with the golden sandy beach only a 2 minute walk away.

On arrival to the hotel we couldn't believe our luck, we were on the top floor and overlooked the pool with fantastic views of the bay, the rooms are a bit on the small side with 4 single beds but as this is an all inc. hotel this didn't prove to be a problem. The rooms were made up every day with fresh towels and sheets.

The drinks in the hotel were very generous with large spirit measures and although the queues for the bar sometimes look large it doesn't take too long at all to get served, I also found the staff to be friendly. (When people aren't shouting at them 2 big beers and waving fingers in their faces!!)

The food was good with plenty of fresh salads and fruit every day, the only criticism I have is that there seemed to be a lot of chicken nuggets and chips etc when I would have preferred to see less of this and more mediteranean cuisine (Tuesday seems to be the best day for this with fresh shell fish and paella on the menu). However, there was always a fresh roast joint so the nuggets can be avoided if these aren't your cup of tea.

There was loads of activities to keep both adults and children entertained both day and night and the entertainment team work very hard to ensure you have fun.

The main problems were, the slow lifts, the fact that people reserve sunbeds at stupid o'clock and never arrive by the pool until later afternoon!!! There were some unruly children staying at the hotel and we often watched from our balcony at night as these hooligans destroyed pool furniture and trashed the kids pool while their parents were getting plastered at the bar, why let your kids do this, what's the point?? So of the 3 problems 2 were of tourists own making, no wonder we get such a bad name.

All in all I would stay here again and would recommend this hotel to families but not groups looking to party as it's not that sort of hotel.

Stayed here in June so the weather was fantastic. Arrived in the early hours and booked in fairly quickly even though i think they struggled to understand English which is unusual for a Spanish hotel.

The hotel itself was OK. It was clean and tidy and in a great location. And the men in our group loved the fact it was right across the road from fantasia golf. Which was a great laugh and i'd recommend this to any age.

The food again was average but we all got sick of eating the same thing. The best meal was breakfast which we all enjoyed. The food at dinner and tea time just seemed to taste the same which resulted in us going out for meals alot more which was a shame because we had paid AI.

The swimming pool seemed very small for the size of the hotel and they didn't seem many sun loungers so you had to be lucky to get them. Again isn't very good when u've paid to go AI but have to go to the beach for the day because you can't get around the pool which means more expense with buying food, drinks and loungers there.

The bar itself near the pool didn't seem very well run. Only one person there most of the time so sometimes there was big queues and you just got fed up with waiting all the time.

I wouldn't visit this hotel again or if I did I certainly wouldn't opt for AI because it isn't worth the money. If I was to come I would come again on BB.
