| said: This hotel has all the qualities to be a first class resort but is let down by the entertainment and food.
The room we had was a family room it consisted of 2 big bedrooms each having a television, there was a shared bathroom fridge safe and much needed air con, we had a balcony looking directly onto the fantastic beach (we took a travel kettle and coffee powder milk and sugar and believe me it was needed)
The rooms where very clean and the cleaning staff friendly and helpful.
The beach there are plenty of beds and shades and the staff on the beach are great just ask and they set your beds up every morning in your favourite spot.
Paddling off the beach is good but you cannot snorkel direct off the beach, there is a pier that takes you out to the reef. we found the sea a bit choppy.
Now the downside
The entertainment during the day and night caters solely for Italians and makes no concession for anybody else, the Italians are all there on all inclusive and only use the pool bar as the other bars are pay bars, this is good during the day as the beach bar was empty most of the time so getting drinks was easy, but in the evenings none of the other bars got used so unless you wanted to listen to the Italian entertainment around the pool bar you found yourself with a whole bar to yourself.
The food is the usual buffet style and virtually the same every day, it was always at best luke warm and most of the time just stone cold, we lived on the pasta which lucky for us was cooked fresh outside the restaurant every night.
just to add insult at breakfast on the last day they ran out of butter.
A WARNING
There are no taxis at Marsa Alam airport so you have to book a transfer in advance, we did this by emailing the hotel, they were very helpful and sent a car at a cost of euro 50. We spoke to another couple who did not book a transfer but managed to get a lift at a cost of £80 for the same journey.
This review is only the opinion of 1 family, we hope you find it useful

| said: This is a really lovely hotel. The room was clean and comfortable (especially the hard bed!). It was advertised as 'sea view' - which was true if you stood at the edge of the terrace and turned your head! What I saw outside my twin room was a well kept and attractive garden so I am not complaining.
The majority of guests were staying on am all inclusive basis (I was half board) and I'm afraid this showed in the food available. Breakfast and dinner were buffets; there was not a huge variety but each day I found enough to eat!
The fresh cooked dishes (mostly pasta) were very tasty. However I suspect that some of the salads were last nights vegetables re hashed. I avoided eating meat (unless it was cooked in front of me!)
The hotel is situated on a lovely beach, the wind made the heat bearable, but there is very little outside the hotel -a few shops and other hotels (which we are not allowed into!)
The staff were attentive, helpful and friendly.
I took this holiday on my own as I wanted to rest, relax & read so I was not interested in any evening entertainment -which was a good thing as it was all geared towards the Italians who made up the majority of guests.
I found the music blasting from the pool area too loud at times and especially didn't appreciate that all announcements, information and posters were in Italian. So I was a bit confused when, on my last night, all the tables and chairs had been relocated from the restaurant to the pool area! (apparently, I discovered, it was an Italian festival day.)
By the end of the week I was glad to have found an English family to talk English to (thanks D & T!).
All in all, I did enjoy my week here; I rested, relaxed & read lots of books!
However, I am glad I didn't take my children as they would have been bored.
