| said: I would not reccomend this hotel to anyone, the hotel is supposed to have been refurbished 2 years ago but is grotty, the carpets are badly stained, the hotel staff are rude, the bedding & towelsonly get changed once a week. the food at breakfast is scarce and only one drink per person, the air conditioning and safe are more expensive than advertised, all they want is to get as much money as possible. There is a karaoke bar next door which does not go quiet until around 4.30am even though it is supposed to go quiet at 1am. we left after a few days and moved to a much nicer hotel.
I do not feel this hotel is worthy of 3*

| said: This has to be one of the worst Hotels in marmaris, The breakfast is very limited, eggs, cheese, meat, bread, jam. No cereal or fruit.you need to get to breakfast early as they only put out a certain amount of food, once its gone they do not restock. You have to ask for a drink and it can take upto 20 mins for your drink to arrive.
The airconditioning and safe are very expensive.
The staff are ignorant, the only time they want to speak to you is when they are taking money from you for either the expensive air con, safe, fridge or tv, be warned if you want all 4 of these items it will cost an extra £100 per week. The cleaners are lazy and dont change the linen very often.
We will not be visiting this Hotel again.

| said: We arrived at the Hotel in at 3.30 in the morning we were given the rooms keys by the night porter and told to go to the first floor, no one helped with our luggage or showed us to our rooms.
My parents room was on the front with a lovely sea view, our room was on the side with a view of the karaoke bar next door, despite the fact that it was by now 3.45am the music and singing was still very loud, this went on until around 4.30.
At 6am we were woken by the cleaner hoovering the landing. At 9am I visited the reception and asked to be moved to the front of the hotel away from all the noise, the receptionist said he had no rooms available until the next day which I agreed to. I then asked about air conditioning and was told it would be £35 per week and £25 per week for a safe.
The next day I went back to the reception to ask about a room move and was told by the same receptionist that he was not allowed to move peoples rooms and I would have to see the manager, I had to wait until 7.30pm to see the manager I asked him if I could move rooms due to the noise and he replied dont speak to me now I'm busy, see me tomorrow, I tried to explain that I had already been waiting 2 days to see him to which he replied I am the only person who can change rooms see me tomorrow.
The next day he agreed to move us to a room on the front,There was a large fridge in the new room and the manager informed us that if we wanted it we would have to pay £35 per week for it we declined and asked for it to be removed, by the following day they had still not moved it so we had to move it ourselves as it was old and smelly.
We had to take the towels from our old room with us as there were no towels in the new room and the cleaner had gone home.
Three days later we had still not had any clean towels, I went to reception and was told that they had aproblem as they did not have enough towels for the hotel.
On returning that evening we had no towels at all in the room, I went to reception to ask for towels and was told that they had put clean in there, I explained that we had no towels at all.
I went back to the room and 5 mins later the receptioninst and cleaner burst into the room and started searching it looking for towels, when they couldnt find any they gave me 2 towels and left, 5 mins later I found out that after leaving the room they then went into my parents room and searched there room looking for towels, the cleaner even went into the bathroom were my elderly fsther was taking a shower. On finding out what they had done I telephoned hotels 4u to ask to be moved, as they had nothing else available they agreed to refund our money and we checked out and moved to a much better hotel.
This hotel is advertised as a 3 star however it is more like a poor 2 star, I have been to marmaris 8 times and this is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in.It says on the website that you get a tv and fridge in your room you only get these if you pay extra.
Also the breakfast is very basic bread jam eggs cheese, breakfast is supposed to be 8-10, however if you get there after 9.15 and thye have run out of anything they do not make anymore and you have to have whatever is left, you also only get one drink with breakfast if you want more you have to pay extra.

| said: Well...where to begin! Me and my fiancee travelled to marmaris for the first time, and it was our first holiday abroad without parents! we were extremely nervous because i'd heard a lot of bad press about turkey. holiday got off to a bit of a bad start, we had booked own taxi through hays travel, and we ended up at the wrong hotel. i was very scared that we were going to get lost, but we soon braved the taxis and got a one for v cheap price. walked into hotel and we could not believe our luck! the reception area was fantastic, marbled floors leather sofas, v friendly receptionist! got to our room and we were on a side facing balcony, which we didnt mind because we could still see the ocean! rooms were v clean and neat. fantastic food was offered at natalies! great value too! i personally liked to have a drink on the beach during the day, and found that the cocktails were amazing! the beach itself was v small, but we got free sunbeds all week, so were werent complaining! a larger beach is available, just down the road! no sunbeds though! weather was brilliant, we did have one afternoon where a storm brewed and the winds got really high, was still fantastic though, as the waves were crashing around and was very exciting!
overall we had the best holiday! and i feel the marmaris beach hotel should be rated higher than a 3* as it's the best along the seafront!! we had a great holiday and will be back next may 2009!

| said: Gone to Turkey for years and this is the worst hotel I ever stayed in, the staff were horrible to the children very unwelcoming to us, ripped us off for three hundred pounds for something that wasn't our doing.
The breakfast was Turkish and awful the only good thing I can say is that the beach front view from the balcony was lovely.

| said: Before I mention the hotel, I have to say I'd heard some real bad reports about Goldtrail and was very dubious about booking, however, as we'd been to Marmaris 7 times before we thought if we didn't like the hotel, we knew other hotels we'd stayed in would be able to accommodate us. But we didn't need to worry, the hotel was fantastic.
We booked a taxi transfer through John at www.icmeleronline.com and when we arrived the taxi driver took our cases and showed us to a minibus. He left the airport, and after about 10mins he stopped and bought us a bottle of water and some crisps for our journey to Marmaris.
As it was about 3am there was very little traffic on the road and we made it to the hotel in just over 1hr. He parked on the main road near McDonald's and asked us to follow him down towards the hotel which was on beachfront. It was approx 3min walk to hotel, and the hotel security guard was waiting at the door to see us to reception. even though it was approx 5am, the marina area across the bay was still very much alive.
The hotel itself in the dark looked pretty normal, as you'd expect for 3* hotel in Marmaris - but as we stepped into reception area....wow, it was beautiful. It had a dark marble floor, leather sofas, decorative fire place and nicely polished wooden reception area. The guy on reception took our passports, and said we would get them the next day when the manager had photocopied them. He then gave us the key to our room 503. He put our cases in the lift, my husband and I also got in lift, when we got to the top - he was waiting for us (he'd ran up 5 flights at 5am). He opened the door to the room and you could smell the cleanliness.
The room had a sloping roof which was the only downfall. The bathroom was luxurious - more than 3* standards. We collapsed on the beds, and woke after a few hours sleep to the heat of the sun beaming in through the balcony doors. We stepped onto the balcony and couldn't believe the breathtaking view we had to look out to for the next 7 days. We paid £25 for A/C and couldn't have done without it. We never actually made it for breakfast (any of the 7 mornings...lol) but the food at Natalie's Steakhouse 2 at the front of hotel was excellent.
ALI the manager who we'd known for over 9yrs from visiting Natalie's other restaurant came over to welcome us straight away and introduced us to the waiters that worked there. We took a real shine to HASSAN the young lad who served you drinks on the beach all day, then served in restaurant on a night also. We also got on really well with George the bar manager, Lynsey (from Barnsley) also worked at the bar and helped out translating.
The cleaner was really nice, she often made swans and hearts out of the towels, leaving petals on my bed. On my wedding anniversary she left me small bunch of flowers in bathroom.
The pool was very small, and same depth throughout. No childrens section either. The pool was also at the back of the hotel and didn't get much sun so the water was icy cold, and you could only sunbathe for about 2hrs around pool because of other hotels around blocking the sun.
The hotel entertainment was okay, nothing to write home about, but the restaurant was open till 11pm, and by then most people would be in the bars along the front or in BAR STREET.
We didn't hear any noise from the local bars and fun pubs close by eg: turtle bar, Salt n pepa, BARAN.

Excellent location on the beach. The views we had were spectacular looking right over the sea. You would normally pay an extra £50 for views like that.
The breakfast was nice, lovely fresh bread, cheese etc a proper turkish breakfast. The staff were very nice and helpful the meals in Natalies steak house were excellent I would recommend this hotel to anyone the rooms are lovely and clean.
I cant find one fault with this hotel we would stay there again without a doubt.

| said: First of all were do we start we visited Marmaris Beach hotel in September 2006, first of all travelling through Marmaris to get to the hotel. We were all a bit dubious and reluctant yet once arriving at the hotel we were amazed.
We booked last minuet for £150 each for a week so we thought we would have been put in something like a sweat box but up for a good time and a laugh we decided to go!
We arrived at the Marmaris Beach Hotel to find it being one of the best on the beach front. It was spotlessly clean and very nicely decorated(it has recently been refurbished)the staff were exceptional and anyone who says different are just fussy snobs as the staff can not do enough for you.
The rooms we were given were on the very top floor and the views were exceptional. The cleaners recently visited and were pleasant.
The hotel is adjacent to the Natalie's steak house and words cannot explain how delicious the food was(we are all usually reluctant to eat abroad)but honestly the best along the beach front definitely try it.
The staff were friendly kind and above all funny!Tahir, Hassan and Eser were all fabulous people we still keep in touch. We have travelled most of the world yet everyone in the group agrees this holiday particularly stands out. we loved it. o and can i just mention whilst visiting the owner of pirelli tyres was visiting the hotel so we were rubbing noses with the high life. A must stay hotel honestly if you are considering staying book it it was fab 5 star all round we love marmaris beach. going back September 2007 for definite.

| said: Me and my friend stayed at the Marmaris Beach hotel in July, the hotel itself was lovely, clean and in an excellent location. However we did experience a problem with some of the staff, waking up in the middle of the night to find that they let themselves into your room and undressing was not exactly a pleasant experience. I'd just warn groups of young girls travelling to be careful.

| said: Marmaris Beach Hotel is a small hotel which is adjacent to Natalie's Steak House. It is owned by the same group. You get 10% off your meals at Alexandra's and Natalie's Steak House when you stay at this hotel.
The staff are very friendly and go out of their way to stop and talk to you. Kemal is brilliant, waiter by day, security guard/waiter by night, what a treasure. I forget the name of the guy on the reception desk on night shift, but again, he is wonderful, stops to have a drink and socialise with you at any hour. The Management always had a cheery hello for you and enjoyed socialising with the guests.
The rooms are immaculate and cleaned on a daily basis. The bed linen was changed about 4 times over 1 week. It seemed when the sheets were creased they got changed.
Plenty of hot water day and night.
This hotel was recently modernised and it was spotlessly clean. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

| said: The breakfast typical Turkish or you could have a huge British. I never had British so I wouldn't know if there was extra charge. We ate mostly at the hotel steak house no complaints. My brother in law tells everyone about his 32 oz steak my sister never once left her food that is unusual.
The waiters are really good. Would change the menu like take out the chicken and replace with king prawns nothing. Was too much for them.
Fantastic service on and off the beach there was a karaoke bar next door with dancing. There was a lot of entertainment going on everywhere none at the hotel which was good. It was quieter. That way have a cappachino and up to bed. I shared a room with my 80 year old mother who loved it. We shut our patio doors put on aircon and slept late every morning breakfast 8 till 10 we had breakfast 10 to 10 everyday maids marvellous too!
