| said: Got an amazing deal of £15 per night, so booked 3 nights.
Again as below we called ahead and requested a quiet room at the back of the hotel, staff were plesant and helpful on the phone.
Arrived around 12 noon and able to check in immediately, room was clean and everything as it should be. We always book a family room for a wee bit more room and the sofa is handy.
Requested extra pillows and a hairdryer, no problems.
Breakfast isn't included and is not £7.50 for all you can eat and kids eat free, we lay in each morning so missed breakfast anyhow! Ate at a local cafe.
We would return to this travelodge as its clean and in a perfect location.

| said: Stayed here for 4 nights, 9th - 12th July 2006.
Arrived early, around 11am so we did not expect to be able to check in (check in is at 3pm), but luckily there was a room ready! I had booked a family room for a wee bit more room. The room was fine for us, a few niggles but nothing major...
After reading reviews I called ahead and requested a quiet room at the back of the hotel and on one of the upper non smoking floors. (Floors 1-3 are non smoking and 4-5 smoking). The receptionist was helpful when I called and the room request was given when we arrived.
Check in was quick and the staff courteous. The bar/eating area was packed though with people getting breakfast.
We went up to the room and were pleasantly surprised. It was quite large, comfortable King size bed with a duvet. Separate sofa bed which was quite large and looked like it folded out. TV (channels 1-5 & pay per view movies), tea/coffee making facilities (refilled daily).
Bathroom was basic, but perfectly adequate. Only niggle in the bathroom, was that the lever for switching from shower to bath was broke so water squirted up from the lever when you were getting a shower but in all honesty it was no major problem. (we have reported it though)
Only other niggle in the room was the peephole on our door was missing and covered over with Duck tape.
We only ate breakfast on one morning in the hotel, as we were up early to catch a train. It was £6.50 and you could eat as much as you like, cereals, hot food, croissants etc. It wasn’t busy, but it was at the weekend when we arrived. The hotel was quiet enough when we were there during the week but from what we seen when checking in, it looks like a stag and hen weekend hotel, so could be very noisy at the weekends.
They charge £3 per bag if you need to leave bags there once checked out if you have a late flight.
The hotel is in a fantastic location, just off the middle of the Royal Mile at the top of Cannongate, only a 5 min walk from the airport bus at Waverley Bridge. Very convenient to all sights and amenities.
So all in all, would we return and recommend….YES! (try and request a quiet room though as the front is facing a busy street and always take a print out of your confirmation booking with you incase of any problems)
