Just back from holiday and had a wonderful time! The age ranges of people who went were myself (19), my parents (40-45), My parents friends (40-45) and also their daughter(20).

We arrived at hotel around 4 on sunday morning, man at reception wasn't very nice, also secuirty guard quite rude as well. Got to room and although we had booked half board we got a kitchen and living area, which was very clean and had everything you needed.

During the day the pool, which was cleaned every night, was great, espically for children as there was a small pool at the back designed for children. They had a pool bar serving snacks and drinks, and entertainment from the animation team who were very lively and enthusiastic and really kept the holiday spirit going. Plenty of sunloungers as well so you were never stuck without one.

I wouldn't advise anyone to go on halfboard in this hotel as there wasn't very much choice the first time we were in, and the second night we went, the meat from the previous night was put out again with sauce over it. Also, my father had a tummy upset after eating out of there.

At night there was a bar which had live entertainment in it with a disco for kids. Wide selction of cocktails and bottled beers, very nice staff there, although bar closes at 1 so if you want more partying the nightlife is around a mile away.

The location was very good as you weren't in the centre of things but you were within walking distance of the beach and the centre, which also gauranteed a good nights sleep as you didn't hear any drunks or music.

Overall, good holiday had by all, difentely thumbs up for fmailies with young children as the resort is family orrientated!

We are just back from Costa Encantada aparthotel, lloret de mar, Costa Brava.
We arrived late Sunday morning around 4.30am to be greeted by a very friendly man at reception. We got to our room within minutes and were very pleased with what we saw. It was a 2 bedroom apt., very clean and plenty of room for all 5 of us.
The room was on the fourth floor overlooking the front entrance.
Our 2 daughters aged 9 and 12 had a bedroom to themselves. Our son aged 14 had the living room pull out bed right in front of the tv which had english speaking programmes.
We had a twin bedroom with patio doors, out onto the balcony. The air conditioner worked very well.
The cleaners came in every other day. Our towels were changed every other day. We had to bring out our own bin bags to an area at the back of the hotel.
We had lunch in the apt which had a small kitchen but had all you needed. including a new tall fridge freezer, new hob and cooker and a toaster. We got the food down in Caprabo super market which was very cheap and less than 100 metres from the hotel. The bread was lovely and just freshly baked.
We never ate in the aparthotel but we did speak to people who did and they highly recommended the food.
Our 9 year old daughter had great fun in the Sharks kids Club with Jemma and Malcolm from 2pm - 4pm.
There were lots of sunbeds and even when we wandered down at 11am there were still plenty available. Music by the pool was very good. The refs entertained us by water excerise, water polo and football etc.Over all we would highly recommend this aparthotel and would go back ourselves.

The Hotel shop was pretty well stocked and had most essentials if required although slightly over priced.

Hotel food in Pool side snack Bar and Restaurant was basic and not much variaty. For a small fee you could use the half board restaurant and that was quite nice.

Hotel Location on a hill and we could hear Ambulances passing by. Also quite a walk from main town centre with busy main roads.

Hotel staff not very friendly but Entertainment staff made up for this. Excellent shows but you need to be sitting near the stage area as concrete Columbs are in your way.

First time in this resort and apartments! We found the apartment we stayed in was okay, kitchen was a bit small but apart from that it was fine. The staff in the hotel were lovely and happy to help. The pool area was always clean and there is plently of sunbeds. Only fault would have to be the maid service, as apartments were only cleaned four times a week. You also have to empty your own bin in your apartment. Where our apartments were situated you mostly heard ambluances passing by which got annoying after a while. You also have to pay for the air conditioning in the apartments.

Fantastic hotel - spotlessly clean in all areas - rooms and the hotel and pool. Beer very poor quality in the hotel and bar staff were particularly slow and seemed unhappy in their job. Excellent entertainment for the kids, although ours were older teenagers so not interested in the Kids Clubs (although I have heard that My Travel are not selling this as a SunCentre in 2008, so there won't be all the same level of entertainment then). Rooms were a nice size - suitable for all you needed and were cleaned regularly.

Costa Encantada was better than expected. it was spotless and spacious.

We arrived in early hours of the morning and check in was very quick and stress free. Staff were great.

The only downside to the hotel is that there is a hill coming into it and when you come up the pub it can take you a while to stagger up but it was fine.

Reps were great, pool area fantastic.

Due to the Glasgow terrorist attack we were stuck in Spain for 2 more days and the hotel were excellent, they gave us back the same room we were in and provided meals. they couldnt have handled it any better.

Excellent hotel. Rooms were spotless, great size, kitchen fairly small, but was well equipped.

Pool area kept clean, and always plenty of sunbeds. Staff all pleasant. Weather was amazing as it was the end of October.

Entertainment not as good as I'd hoped, but a good attempt, and they were winding down as hotel closed on the day we were leaving, football and quizzes/ bingo for kids during the day. Didn't eat in hotel as there was so much choice outside. El Rancho always busy, food excellent.

Hungry Horse good food, lovely welcome but much more pricier than the surrounding bars. Caprabo supermarket 2 minutes walk really cheap for drinks etc. Beach (5 min walk)was shingle, but lovely scenery, with a very steep drop into deep water, the large boats used to just pull up and lower plank to get on, didn't need a harbour!

Karaoeke bar called Robin Hood very friendly and a good night, for a cheap drink go to where the locals do, El Cid, on main street.

Would definatly go again.

The grounds got cleaned every night the staff are like little ants always there and always cleaning it was incredible I as I have high standards of cleanness to start off with.

IF YOU HAVE A FAMILY THIS IS THE ONE FOR YOU! The view we had was fab the parks which there is two for the younger ones is also very nice for kids to play....There is five pools indoor pool three large ones outside and a indoor one very clean..

This was the second time we've been here (the kids wanted to go back after a two year gap)

Staff were excellent, clean and tidy appartments though my missus said the cleaners mopped the floors with unclean water??!! Woman thing!

Pool was nice again, still a problem with reserved sunbeds and towels (are we turning into Germans?!)
They were removed by Reps for a time but not everyday.

My gripe was the location of the entertainment. Two years previously it was done on a big outdoor stage, plenty of space easier to get to the bar and find a table, and the smaller enclosed hall showed telly, dvd's on the screen.

This time (we were told because of residents complaints) all entertainment was to be held in the small room, far too small to hold everyone or to get a table, we ended up sitting outside (with many others) trying to peer in through the windows. It's summer I don't want to be sat indoors!!
The main stage area was now the kids unofficial football pitch.
If we had know this we wouldn't have booked, spoilt it bit for us.

Last time we also had room facing the back, not much to look at but quiet. This time we had a room over the pub with kids and adults screaming and shouting 'til 2 in the morning, not nice if you have young ones.

Where was the noise control in this area?

Location, I think is excellent, just a steep hill to get up, but it's set back from the main road all enclosed, for peace of mind. Shop is a bit pricey but convenience always comes at a price. There's a Carabo supermarket on corner to do your shopping and plenty of restaurants across the road from that towards the beach.

Lloret is 15 mins walk away, hotel is situated in Fenels, less riff raff about.

Nice place/staff but we won't be going back because of the entertainment

Well when I got back from Encantada I only had a little tan as there was thunderstorms and was raining most days.
We used to sit on our sunbeds with our towels as blankets to keep us warm but when I went in 2004 it was lovely.

The cleanliness was quite good but it could have been better. The food was nice but I am glad I was self catering as the food would have got a bit boring so we ate out most nights. Apart from that the location is brilliant and the staff are lovely.

I would recommend this hotel to most people.

Our hotel itself was generally pleasing. The property was spacious with three large conjoined pools, though I was disappointed with the room we were allocated. We had initially requested pool view at front, overlooking all the activity.

However, on arrival we found ourselves situated around the back with nothing only a wall to look at. Several times I counted the stones in it whilst relaxing with a beer on the balcony.

There was plenty of entertainment, mainly orientated towards children, of whom I feel there were too many of.
This hotel was average in terms of location.

Although it was close to beaches and Lloret de Mar, I disliked the quality of the local shops, bars, and restaurants so going into the resort centre was an everyday necessity.

The staff were unfriendly but the reps were excellent in aiding us in any inquiries. In particular they were able to supply us tickets to see two FC Barcelona matches, hence my ambition for coming here.

For this reason I would come back again.

Costa Encantada was a friendly family orientated feel about it. Our rooms were big enough for what we needed.

The kitchen was as good as mine at home and the bathroom immaculate. We had a roof terrace so we sat up on the roof in the mornings drinking tea before adventuring out to the pool.

The food around the pool was good. Food in the restaurant was plentiful and well cooked always lots of choice, am sure we all went home heavier.

Ate out in couple of restaurants as well. Hungry horse great value for money my 2 14 yr olds even enjoyed this place.

Loads of shops and many bars to visit.. the beach was close enough and Lloret itself was only 10 minute walk up the road..

The motorists however make British drivers look slow. Not sure if they understand a red light...! Brilliant on the whole we going back next year. Hooray!

The apartment was clean, and large enough for a family of 4, also a well equipped kitchen are.

Even though we were self catering we tried the restaraunt, the food was varied and very nice.

Located up a hill which was a killer after a day on the beach and in that heat.

The entertainment was great for the kids.

The only reason I wouldn't go back to these apartments is because I wasn't to keen on the resort itself.

The room was cleaned regularly very spacious and the encantada was the best I have stayed in we have been there twice before.

The reps were great with us all especially Phill he was fit and the best rep by far.

The entertainment was brilliant for us young people met loads of friends and are looking to book again next year. I liked the disco bar it was fun to hang around.

I liked going on the computer in the reception area to tell my friends in England what a good time I was having.

My little brother age 4 loved the pool as it was big enough for is blow up dinghi and couldnt keep him away from the arcade.

Excellent reception area open 24 hours all English speaking and very friendly.

We had a one bedroom apartment which was lovely and clean maid service about 5 times a week and clean towels.

The apartment had a pool view on the third floor but was an end one so the corner was on the side of the reception so you got a bit of noise from the pub and when people returned home but not a real problem.

Reps available most of the time and very friendly and helpful.

We took the boys on a trip to the camp nou stadium which also included a trip to the dancing fountains the trip was good but you only get 2 hours in the nou camp which isn't long enough if you love football.

Drinks quite dear around the pool cheaper from the supermarket about 5 min walk away called caprabo.

The hotel is situated just off of a busy main road.

The hotel reception is very spacious and clean, with a shop on the left hand side which sells almost anything from food to papers, also in the reception are internet facilities and a cashpoint.

We were alocated a room on the ground floor overlooking the pool(we paid 20 pounds extra for this but it was well worth it). The room was very spacious and clean, we had 1 seperate bedroom, and a fold out bed in the lounge, a fridge, and cooking facilities(hob, toaster, kettle).Air conditioning is available, at a cost of 27 euros a week.

The pool area was very clean, with lots and lots of sun loungers, no towles were alowed to be put on the loungers to save them, if they were, they were removed by the hotel staff, so you never had to get up early to grab one.The pool area was cleaned every night.

We stayed on a self catering bases, but was allowed to use the hotel restaurants. The main restaurant is an all you can eat buffet 12euros for adults, and 6euros for children, this was very nice, and clean, and the food was really nice, but the food can get a bit repetitive.

The second restaurant was downstairs, this was also really nice, they sold steaks, pies, roast chicken, pizza, and an all day breakfast, a meal for 4 cost us with drinks around 45euros.We were really lucky though, and found a small restaurant in the main Town called "Snack Bar Dani".The food here was amazing and really good value for money.

The entertainment was your usual standard hotel entertainment.During the day you can join in the water gym, play water polo, football, Or if you have children they can join one of the clubs they run.In the evenings, its the kids disco, Bingo, open the box, and a main show, this all goes on till about 1.00 a.m.

I would definately visit this hotel again it was very clean, the staff all vey friendly, and the reps were superb, always there if you needed one.

this hotel was possibly the cleanest we have ever stayed in, everywhere sparkled.

the staff were very helpful especially reception staff.

the food was lovely, lots of choice. prawns in shell, salmon steaks, smoked salmon, steak, porkchops, lambchops etc,but we had two vegetarians with us and they had a limited choice, unless you eat fish.

we felt that the entertainment was well below the standard we have had on previous holidays. they have a lovely outside stage area yet all the entertainment was in the disco bar, which was dark and gloomy and had no atmosphere. (you cant smoke in disco bar).they had a cd on before mini disco then cd again then bingo then cd again then "open the box" then same cd then the show. this was the same cd all evening every evening. we like a bit of music but the volume was so loud that you could not have a conversation, so just sat there looking at each other, i think that this is why there was no atmosphere, you couldn't have a laugh with each other as you could not communicate.

the hotel is only a ten minute walk to lloret de mar, in fact it was quicker to walk than to take the bus. quite a few bars and restaurant opposite to hotel, really cheap to eat out.

My husband and I have just arrvied home from a weeks stay at this hotel what a wonderful hotel it is.
The location is perfect one beach is a five minute walk down a road opposite, there is another which is a ten minute stroll to loret, and a bus stop ouside the hotel that will take you to blanes where the beach goes for miles!!
The pool area is big and there are plenty of sunbeds any towels found on sunbeds before 8.30 am will be removed so you don't have to put your alarm clock on to get a sunbed for the day!!

The staff were all friendly and were there with a smile 24 hours a day.

The apartments were vey spacious and cleaned 3 times during a one week stay.

My holiday was one of the best I have been on and would go back tomorrow if I didn't have to go to work!!

The food provided in the buffet restaurant which you can pay to eat in if you are self catering was excellent-the best meals we had on our trip and we ate there 3 nights. A three course dinner cost 12 euro which we thought was good value for money.

We wish we had payed the extra for half board! My only advise would be to make sure you get there early enough as the food isnt really hot enough if you dine late. We also had dinner in the pizzeria downstairs which was awful-the well done steak was oozing with blood and fat and the chicken breast I ordered was minus chicken meat! The breakfasts and snacks served in the pizzeria were tasty enough though.

The hotel is clean and well maintained. The pool area was washed every evening and all bathroom facilities were first class.

The hotel is located a 10mins walk from Lloret which we thought was a nice stroll ,however other guests complained about the uphill walk home and got a bus instead which departs every 30 mins.

The entertainment in this hotel is very family orientated with a little bit of naughtiness and the best we have ever seen-fantastic!

We have just returned from a wonderful week at this hotel.

We stayed in the main block,in a one bedroomed apartment which was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed.Maids came three times during the week, changed the towels and the bed linen, and cleaned the floors and bathroom.

Everything about this hotel shouts cleanliness, all areas are kept spotless, even outside.

The staff are all very friendly and helpful;there is a small shop on site which sells anything you may have forgotten, and also English newspapers.

There are computers in reception to use at a very cheap price if you need them.

Just down on the main road from the hotel are two brilliant restaurants.El Rancho does a T-bone steak with extras for €7.50 (about £5.00) and just a little further up the road is The Hungry Horse. This place is great-- it does so many different meals,Spanish and English,at very reasonable prices. The staff here make you feel so welcome and are very good with children.

Fenals is a lovely resort, with a nice beach and plenty of cafes and shops, also very clean, but if you want more action a twenty minute stroll will take you to Lloret. This is a much bigger place, but also more noisy with lots of traffic, but it does have a wider selection of shops and cafes.

We really enjoyed our week here and would recommend the hotel and resort of Fenals to anyone.

The apartment we stayed in was a good size with a small but fully equipped kitchen. The rooms were kept very clean with fresh towels provided upon request.

The beds were not changed during our stay (but how many people change their bed at home more than opnce weekly?) but were made every day. The balcony was a good size, also spotless and with 2 racks for drying towels etc.

The food in the restaurant was great with plenty of choice and we never had to wait for a table or drinks service.
The pool area was a good size with plenty of sunbeds although the pools themselves were absolutely freezing! There was however a heated indoor pool for softies like me.

The entertainment staff were fantastic with the children at the mini-disco. We never stayed for the entertainment later at night as our two-year-old was worn out with all the dancing and had to go to bed.

The hotel's location is OK. There is a good supermarket just around the corner that stocks everything you could need - except fresh milk. The main road that you have to cross to get to the beach/shops is the only negative thing I can mention although the hotel is set far enough back to eliminate most of the noise.

We would not hesitate to return to this hotel and have recommended it to other members of our family.

Stayed on half board basis and food was fine-nothing special but there was plenty of it.

Hotel was kept spotless apartments were a good size with a brilliant first floor balcony but were a little dated-especially the bathroom. The staff were fine some more friendly than others only needed to call reception twice once for more blankets and again when bathroom bulb went both were sorted out as soon as.

The airtours reps mostly worked their socks off but you could tell just one or two of them didnt have their heart in it which was a shame. Shazza g phil and terri were the best reps by far the other reps should watch and learn.

Location was fine but the hill to the hotel got us all out of breath. Loads of shops and fantastic beaches.

Went on trip to Barcelona zoo and the city it was brilliant value for money. I'd reccomend this hotel.

Hotel Reception areas and pool areas were spotless.
Rooms were acceptable but basic. Towels were changed
5 times during the week but sheets were never changed
and we knew this because of the cigarette burns in them
because neither of us smoke.

Main Resturant was good value at 12 Euros per adult and 6 Euros for a child up to the age of 12 years. Pizza Resturant was also good value to sit in or take away but was a bit limited in variety as was the pool bar. Hotel location was in a quite part of Lloret but had a variety of Resturants nearby.

Staff were friendly and efficent having to deal with quite a lot of rowdy behaviour from adults and children alike.

Entertainment was not great and was the usual mini disco then bingo and Rep style show, which is ok if you like that sort of thing but you would never be able to hear or see it for children running riot.

Good hotel but we would not visit it again as we were put off by the rude and rowdy behaviour it appears to attract.

Cleanliness - The hotel was immaculate. The pool was cleaned every night. The room was serviced every 1 to 2 days with fresh towels and the floor was always mopped and clean.

Food - We did go half board which included breakfast and dinner but we never ate there. There are loads of bars and restaurants in the area and they are all so cheap so we ending up dining out. The hotel restaurant looked really nice and it was never busy or crowded. There is a bar and pub on the hotel site as well for a nice quiet drink.

Location - The hotel is located near to bars and restaurants so you never have too far to travel. It is located within a 10 minute walk from one beach and about a 20 minute walk from the centre where more bars and restaurants are and also the main beach. The centre is more lively and has mainly English restaurants whereas where the hotel is located it is very European which we loved.

Staff - They all speak English and are very friendly and offer a great service. No complaints.

Entertainment - We never went to the hotel entertainment but what we heard sounded ok, apart from the same CD being played each night. Very family orientated.

The entertainment here is excellent, and forgot to say SHAZA G is soooo fit.

Would come back next week if I could.

I will be recommending these apartments to everyone.

WOW the best holiday ever! was so unhappy on leaving day.
We instantly liked the look of this hotel before we booked and I was never disappointed.

The hotel was constantly being cleaned and was spotless.

It is situated in Fenals and was a 10/15 min walk from Lloret itself which we liked.

Both the Fenals and Lloret beeches were shingle but still great fun! Lloret had a great night life which I was very happy with as most places closed at 5am!

The restaurant was always spotless and service was excellent with different food everyday.

The reps and hotel staff were excellent, the reps were always smiling and doing their best to keep everyone entertained and provide them with their perfect holiday.

The hotel had loads of facilities, 2 games/arcade rooms, a pub, a bar/reception seating area, 2 snack bars, pool/table tennis tables, a large sun lounging area with a large pool. and a gym (which I couldn't find)! and an indoor pool which isn't open peak time. The pool had a lifeguard at the busier times of the day.

We could get a sun bed no matter what time we got up! You weren't allowed to put towels on bed until after 8.30 which was brilliant.

I plan on going here again, whether in a group of friends again, with my family or with children, it's perfect for everyone.

Thanks for giving me a wonderful holiday.

We could not believe our luck, after booking a late deal and arriving tired at such a late hour, seeing the appt/hotel was a boost the begining of a fantastic week.

Reception: air conditioned pleny of tables and chairs to get away fron the blistering heat and still be comfortable and relaxed. computers for kids to chat to pals at home, my 13 year old loved it 1 euro for about 30 mins.

Room: spotless, well maintained, fully equiped kitchen large fride freezer.

Bathroom: spotless clean towels every day and fresh loo roll every day...didnt have to go on a loo roll hunt like other hols we have had !!!

Bedrooms : bedding spotless plenty of room double wardrobe with lots of hangers bedside tables for your personal bis n peices and a large safe. Also when we requested more pillows they arrived without hesitation.

We did not use the restraunt but it looked lovely and we heard good reports, the only negative was that it closed at 8- 8.30pm and we liked to eat late, the pool was open until seven, so closing the restraunt so early didn't do them any favours.

Location we thought was good because we were out of the hustle and bustle but still near to a supermarket and bus stop and a walk away form the water park just 20/30 mins round the back of the apt/hotel. Ambulances regular due to hospital near by but certainly not a problem, busy road not a problem safe level/pelican crossings.

Staff so friendly and very very helpful and security guards, not that we had any worries it seemed to be just an added bonus.

We didn't use the bar we prefer eating out and finding more traditional evenings, but it seemed packed and posters were put up every day to keep you informed of that nights enertainment, ideal for families with little ones.
Only one reservation and advice to the apt/hotl, get some more sun loungers there was plenty of space for more and not enough to go around, or stop people reserving them, we had loungers twice and on other occasions used lilos, annoying when the beds next to you are unoccupied for 2 hours!

We would not hesitate to return, we had a fantastic time.

These apartments were excellent.

Very roomy with a large balcony. Getting sunbeds can be a problem if you dont get up early, but you cant blame the germans because there isnt any here ( as far as I could tell the hotel is only used by british tour operators) the food at the poolside bar was quite nice and the staff were friendly enough .

The hotel is not actually in LLoret but is in the smaller suburb of fenals .

This was our 4th visit to the Costa Encantada and we have already booked for next year!!!!!

I do not understand how some people do not like the food it is plentiful and varied enough to please 3 adults and 2 children. For breakfast you have a choice of cereals, toast, croissants, buns, fresh fruit, tea, coffee, fruit juice and a full english breakfast. For dinner you have a full salad bar, 3 meat dishes and 3 fish dishes to choose from plus your veg and potatoes and fresh fruit and cakes and ice cream. For the children you have pizza, nuggets and chips etc.

The location is good except for bit of a hill on the way up to the hotel.

We did not stay for the entertainment at the hotel as we prefered to explore, but families with young children should enjoy it.

Just wanted a fun and chilled out holiday.

Good transfer with friendly and helpful reps - always on-site to ask questions.

Hotel staff friendly and English speaking.

Good place to relax during the day - clean hotel and rooms.

Room had everything we needed including a hairdryer - but only had one mirror in bathroom (which is not good for 2 girls - but we survived!!) Bedroom and apartment was very 'snug' so make sure you go with a friend you really like! Despite this we didn't want for anything. Maid service was great - clean and friendly. The handle broke off the bedroom door so my friend had to phone reception to let her out - they said 'call back at 8am' cause there was no one to cover reception, mate said 'no - I need a wee' so they eventually came up to let her out. Maid arranged for worker to fix door - it was fixed promptly - no further problems so we just put it down to one of those holiday moments.

Swimming Pool was excellent (big but cold) -just enough space to avoid all the kids (and lads) dive-bombing each other. Lots of sun loungers - but these do fill so go and find your spot early.

Shop on site - so no need to lug big bottles of water back to your hotel.

The welcome meeting was informative - as long as you ignore the cheesy presentation style.

I'd say this place is a good base to rest ready for a night out for the lively groups, and a good choice for families with children who may want to stay close to the hotel to enjoy the 'family-aimed entertainment'. So a good all-rounder.

My advice is take pegs for the washing line and cards if you get a late flight home - as check-out was at 10am and its a LONG day.

Lockers for suitcases are 2euros (every time you open them) so don't keep forgetting things you need only to pay another 2 euros.

It rained for a couple of days - but still got a suntan - left happy with the holiday as a whole and I'd recommend the hotel to young and old alike.

Good things about the holiday - Only half an hour from Gerona airport. Very clean hotel. Able to see the sea from apartment.

Large pool which was cleaned daily. 5 minute walk to the beach in Fennals.

10 minute walk into Lloret de mar centre.

The super market is just across the road and very cheap.

A free bus outside hotel which takes you to Water world (I would recommend this for a day out.)

The hotel does run arranged trips to Barcelona, however you can only spend 5 hours there if you take part. We found our own way there from the bus station in Lloret de mar, it cost 14 euros each.

I would reccomend the arranged trip, because we were lost for 2 hours! Also when visiting Barcelona take extra care of your belongings. My friend almost had her bag stolen while we were eating.

Every Sunday night the hotel arranges a bar crawl. You pay 6Euros before you leave. The reps meet you in the reception and take you in to Lloret de mar. The are usually around 80 people taking part each week. They take you to 4 bars and 1 club. The Queen Vic, Piccadilly pub, Texas bar, Mobys and Tropics. Entrance is free all night and you are given a free shot in each bar.

Bad things about the holiday - Just outside the hotel is a very busy road and roundabout. It was very loud and was the main road for ambulances which passed every 15 minutes. This got very annoying, especially at night.

Although they tried hard the entertainment team were really cheesy. Little kids seemed to enjoy it but there was nothing for our age group (18.) The snack bar by the pool was ok but there was not much choice. Mainly burger and chips.

The shops in Fennals all sold the same things and I felt the shopkeepers tried to presurise people to buy things.

Fennals only had one bar which wasn't very lively so we had to walk into Lloret. In Lloret most of the bars are free entrance. Tropics was 10euros but then they give you a card which is a free pass for a week.

When you walk through Lloret at night expect to be given up to 20 leaflets from people working for bars. They stop you and ask you wher you're from and practicly pull you in to the bar/club.

If you want a sun bed get up early and put your towl down! There was'nt enough beds for the whole hotel.

In my opinion this holiday is not for families, as the resort was mainly full of young people. However the hotel was excelent for young children and provided lots of activities. I would reccomend this holiday to groups of friends aged 18-30, and Iam looking forward to going back in the next few years.

You are only allowwed to take 30 k... on in your suitcases. Some of the bar staff were not very help full thats why we put a 4 not a 5!!.

We stayed in the main block in a large one bedroomed apartment and I cannot fault the accommodation at all. The apartment was large bright and airy linen and everything spotless.

The reception staff were friendly and went out of their way to help us when we decided to visit Nou camp stadium by ourselves instead of the organized trip. Wrote directions, bus no's trains etc all down for us and with smiles!

We were self catering but ate one night in the restaurant which had a varied excellent buffet at the time we ate.

Entertainment wise we prefer to do out own thing and go out walking into Lloret and down Fenals drink in the bars and have a game of minigolf with the kids but the one night we did stay at the hotel was very good. Something different every evening and even when we returned from out evening out, we would sit outside the separate "English type" pub have a drink and the kids would play in the playground. Two outdoor playgrounds very good quality and bang outside the pub where we would sit at a bench and watch them play. FAMILIES with kids this was heaven!

Pool was superb and bar food quite good.

I cannot fault this place at all and give it five stars and for the price it was an absolute bargain. The only drawback is Fenals and Lloret beach which is shingle! but that was the only fault I could find!

Our kids and we parents had a super time and we would go back.

Costa Encantada, Lloret (Fenals area)

Didn't try the food / drink in the hotel as there are several places to eat within a short walk and the walk back up a slight hill to the hotel after a good meal was frequently needed ! There is a very large supermarket within 2 minutes walk (unusually it is a supermarket that doesn't stock fresh milk, but loads of longlife stuff) - fresh milk was purchased from the hotel shop.

The hotel is very clean and apartments maintained to a good standard - a problem with our phone was fixed within an hour. The poolside bins frequently over flowed with rubbish so larger bins would resolve the problem. For the first time in Spain (in 30 years of going) we did not see one cockroach, alive or squashed either in the hotel or anywhere in the Fenals area.

The hotel is located in the Fenals district and is a 20 minute walk from LLoret centre. One of the local bus routes includes a LLoret - Fenals - Lloret run, although we didn't use the bus I'm told its 90c each way.

The hotel staff are excellent with good local knowledge especially helpful was a lady called Gail.

Problems with a family with young kids who were disruptive IE slamming apartment doors, waking everyone with their arguing and swearing for hours (normally from 0100-0400) and finally fighting with each other were resolved when the hotel staff became involved.

Entertainment - acts were of varying quality. Lots to do during the days for the kids (and boy were there loads of kids!)

We would visit the hotel again but would first check all of the UK school holiday arrangements, as we found out this week, we are currently into the Scottish / Irish school summer holiday period - the rest of the UK starts later in July.

3 young ladies and a young boy (8) travelled this year just for a week on a last minute holiday, wish it had been for longer.

The room we had was on the 1st floor above the pool providing an excellent view of Lloret and the complex. Very spacious and clean, balcony was big enough for about 6 of us as well as the room.

We were self catering but from other peoples comments the food was excellent. We could buy breakfast and dinner if we wanted - €12 for dinner as much as you like, €4 for breakfast.

All or most staff spoke English and were very helpful at all times nothing too much trouble. The entertainment staff, what can I say? Fantastic hard working staff.

All Mytravel reps at this hotel should have a job for life.

I have just come back from my holiday at the Costa Encantada and I had a fantastic time. I went with two friends and from the minute we got there we had a brilliant time. We arrived in the very early hours of the morning yet the hotel staff were still very polite and very helpful.

The pool and facilities around it were excellent and the entertainers made sure that there was always lots of different activities going on throughout the day for people to join in with.

The hotel rooms were spotless and we had a maid visit the room four days out of the seven we were there.

We loved the location of the hotel as it was out of the way of the main road so there was no noise from traffic but it was still an easy walk to the resort centre.
The entertainment that was provided everynight was brilliant.

There was something different to watch everynight and the entertainers did a very good job in making sure that everyone was involved and having a good time.

Overall we had a fantastic time and we are definately booking to go back next year but for two weeks instead of one!

Went on a late deal which was booked the night before and left at 4 in the morning so only had the booking reps review over the phone.

The hotel was kept very clean although the room had only one change of bed linen during our week stay.

Location was good, it was close to a main road but didn't hear that much noise,(apart from the ambulances on a regular basis.)

Pool, Staff and facilities were great (helped by the good weather,) considering it was close to the end of season.

We would go back at the right price for a late deal, but not for the brochure price.

Me and my mate both thought the hotel was brilliant. The only thing was that the cutlery wasn't very clean but it was self catering so a bottle of washing up liquid did the job.

The hotel has a mini mart on the complex so you can get everything from there, food, toiletries the lot.
There was also a pub/bar attached to the hotel complex. We found this quite cheap and had lots of fun.

The hotel entertainment didn't appear that good but then again, there was so much fun to be had in the main centre that we didn't even consider stopping in the hotel. The main centre is only 5 mins or so away. Left at the same round a bout and it's just straight down the road.

Beach is very near too!!!

I will really miss this place. Wicked holiday!!!! :-)

The pool was fantastic the biggest i've seen in a long time 1 pool 3 different sections plus a smaller pool for the toddlers, the sun loungers were free and there was plenty of them. I would love to stay in a hotel like this where every i went but sadly that doesn't happen. 4 stars for me.

We stayed in the hotel costa encantada. The hotel was spotlessly clean and the apartments very spacious and well equipped.

The hotel facilities and the pool were first class, all in all a great hotel. One or two little niggles but nothing major, we used the in hotel internet facility which cost 1euro per 15mins, but they fail to tell you that the internet goes off at 12 midnight and we had just put money in and the night receptionist was unwilling to give us our money back.

On the day we were leaving we had to pay for a locker for our cases and if you opened them during the day you had to pay again, most hotels have free courtesy rooms for their guests. Also if you require the air conditioning on you have to pay for it about 18 euros a week.

When going for your evening meal, make sure you don't go in late as we found the food cold, but if you went in early everything ok. Staff very friendly and helpful but if you require a hire car find your own as airtours quote very expensive. Jimmy and Ann

The kitchen utensils were disgusting scratched with all food stuck to them which was mildew and personally I don't think they'd cleaned the hotel before we arrived

We stayed at the Condado apartments and they were dirty.

Facilities were rubbish there was no entertainment and on sign out day when we asked for our €60.00 back we struggled to get them the staff on were saying "me no understand then some one who knew a little Spanish asked her in half English half Spanish and she could not still under stand and then a totally Spanish speaking person said it to her so she checked our room. When she came back she said half of the utensils were missing and there were fist marks in the wall’s. We told her they were there when we arrived and she checked the room log book for our room (106) and it said that they were, but, clearly you could see that they did not want to give us our euros back.

I will never visit this dirty hotel ever again

Staying at the Costa encontada it was a large hotel complex with lots of facilities. Very clean. swimming pool was excellent. I was a single dad with three kids and this was my first time abroad with them on my own. The important thing therefore was that the kids loved it. and they did!! Entertainment good and all staff very helpful. Food and drink at poolside was also very good and reasonably priced. Only drawback was getting to pool by ten thirty to see rows and rows of towels on sunloungers and yet only about four people in pool!!

We stayed a the Costa Encantada in August this year for 2 weeks. The hotel was extremely clean and there was maid service four times a week. We did go self catering but did use the restaurant a couple of times for our evening meal and it was very reasonable and very nice. The hotel is quite close to Lloret itself about a 15 minute walk. We had fantastic weather for the two weeks ideal for soaking up the sun by the large excellent pool. The pool bar was very good and reasonable and served fod and drinks. The entertainment staff were very good also the resident duo BMW, very entertaining and very hard working. There really was something for everone on this holiday and we have already booked to go back next year.

We stayed in the Costa Encantada for one week and my only regret was not staying longer. The staff were first class with all of them speaking fluent english. The pool was fantastic with more than enough sun loungers for every one. We were also told that the pool was the biggest freeform pool on the costa brava. The hotel also offers two arcades with the latest video games plus a five-a-side football pitch and a full basketball court. The childrens entertainment was second to none, with the reps giving the kids lots of activities to keep them busy all day. The hotel is situated at the back of fenels and is a five minute walk away from the centre of lloret de mar. Overall i cant reccomend this hotel enough, and would go back in an instant.
