| said: Arrived at this hotel in the early hours of the morning and were pleasantly surprised when porter took our bags to our rooms in golf-type buggy. Rooms set up a very steep hill.
The rooms themselves were spacious and well laid out. The hotel looks like it has been recently upgraded and the rooms were very modern and clean.
The food was absolutely excellent and there wasn't any mealtime when anyone in our party couldn't find something delicious to eat. The choice of dishes was excellent and the desserts in the evenings particularly good.
As our visit was 2 weeks before the end of the season the entertainment left a lot to be desired. The Thomas Cook entertainments team were on a count-down to going home and were only interested in filling in their days. The evening entertainment was dismal for english-speaking guests but the German guests, who make up a large percentage, seemed to like the shows put on by their entertainment team.
All in all we had a lovely holiday. We were lucky in that the weather was beautiful for October (we had one cloudy day and one night of rain). The hotel is nice but is definately more geared towards service for the German guests.

| said: The Meltemi Village is a fantastic hotel, and it's just a shame that the weather let us down. We travelled at the end of the summer, and unfortunatly it rained every day.
The hotel was clean and the staff friendly. The entertainment great and charlie the rep was so helpful.
I'll be back next year, when its sunny forcast.
Thank you Thomas Cook

| said: This was our first try at All Inclusive, but I don't think its a very good advert.
The food was excellent for the adults, lots of choice and variety, and no need to eat early as everything was replenished regularly, even seen them replenish items 15 mins before the dining room closed. The food for kids is not so good, you can book on a daily basis to have a children's menu, but they have to dine at 6.00pm. It would be better if this was available with the general food.
My biggest gripe is with the bar, very very poor selection of spirits, only ones included in the all inclusive part, were Ouzo and Metaxa, no local Gin,Vodka etc. Beer was ok, but only served in small glasses, and the self serve tap regularly ran out, especially around the closing time of the bar.
The accommodation is very clean, the rooms are spacious, and the maid service is excellent. As it built in to a hillside, get a low room if possible.
The hotel mainly occupied by Germans, so expect to be in the minority.
The entertainment team are the best,Big up to Dan, Amy Jo etc, so talented, and always went out of there way to make time for a chat, a very welcome chat, when there are so many German folk.

| said: Hi, We have just returned from the Meltemi hotel and having stayed in 5 all inclusive hotels before, we thought we knew what to expect. This is by far the worst.
I will start off by telling you that the hotel is very clean and the rooms are large. The entertainment team are FANTASTIC they made our holiday. That is the only good bits!!This is the first year us English have been to this hotel and it doesnt cater very well for us.
In the brochure it advertises a snack bar...theres not one just a table with left overs from night befores dinner. In the previous all inclusives we have stayed at in Greece,Spain, and Turkey we have had a seperate snack bar, serving chips burgers etc, well not here.
We also thought all alcoholic drinks were included, obviously not your smirnoff etc but all local gin vodka etc, well not here only raki, ouzo, brandy and lager, which of course doesnt suit many people. There was a lot of people sitting with their own bottles of alcohol and using hotels mixers!! Shocking when you havn't budgeted for this. The food in the restaurant is good for us adults, but very poor for kids not much to choose from.
Going back to the brochure inaccuracy it states the rooms have a TV, well they do but all channels are in German! This does of course suit the majority of guests 95% are German!
The hotel is not in the centre of Hersonissos but approx 20 mins walk away. The hotel is also on a very steep incline so def not suited for people with walking problems.

| said: The standards of accommodation at this holiday village are exellent. With two bedrooms both with air con individually controlled large bathroom plenty of room for up to 4 adults or even 2 and 3 children also cots available for infants at no charge.
The only problem on a steep hill no good if you have walking problems.
Hotel food very good but very busy restaurant best to go early to get a table.
Location a good 20 minutes walk to town and quite a walk to the beach but hotel puts on free transport.
Hotel staff not over friendly except for the cleaners who work very hard. You will be lucky to get a smile from bar staff.
Beer ok but very poor choice of spirits also poor snacks the entertainment team are excellent for families and always find time for you regards to dan and his team .
I would say 75 percet guests are German and not to friendly I think they resent us being there.but overall not a bad place.
