| said: The accomodation was better than basic. The poolarea,bar area and dining area was clean and well kept. The food was prepared daily by the chef. Dinner was served in a buffet style with the selection varied,traditional greek food. It was amazing value at 12.50 euros per person. Dimitri treated us to lunch one day . The entertainment was the traditional Greek dancing evening and again Dimitri provided a free drink for guests. He and his wife were very generous hosts. They were also very helpful with resolving a difficulty we had and did not charge for the phone calls.We felt very much at home here ,having been to Crete 6 times and several other islands.

The owners and staff were always friendly and helpful,the food was amazing.
It was the beat holiday we`ve had,looking forward to going back sometime.

| said: The Astrid Apartments are located about 10km to the east of Rethymno, which is easily accessable by public transport or taxi.
The apartments were clean and basic - much what you would expect for a Self Catering holiday.
The food was excellent, and me and my wife ate there on every night but one. The prices were fair and we just about tried everything on the menu between us
The main reception area is nice and bright and acted as the focal point for any world cup matches that people wanted to watch.
We were Greeted by Dimitris and Eva (the Owners) on our arrival and were promptly givin our Cretian names :-)
The owner and his staff could not have done more to make us feel welcome, including going out of thier way to give us ideas and directions to interesting places to visit.
Not for those who are looking to go raving and misbehaving, and would probably be too quiet for families with teenage children.
There was entertainment provided 3 nights a week. One Greek dancing night, one music night and one magic night(for the kids)
I loved this place and would go back tomorrow.
