| said: We asked for a first floor balcony room, however, we were given a ground floor room. It appears that Olympic did not pass on our requests!! Due to this we had to pay 20 euros to change the room to what we requested!!!
The room 117 we got was fantastic and we really enjoyed the balcony. The views were amazing. We were impressed with the facilities with the modern kettle/toaster/iron and board. The aspect that really lets the hotel down is the maid service.
Our bins were not emptied on one day and considering you have to put your toilet paper in them that is awful!!The bed was not always made and the floors never cleaned.
The swimming pool is tiny and there is hardly any room around it to put sun loungers on!! However, it was really clean and lovely for a relaxing dip at the end of the day, but not to spend all day around. The setting was fantastic.
The air con cost 7 euros a day which is expensive. DO not book Monarch airlines if you can help it, they gave us a double shafting! Four hours late on the way out and changed our flight to a later one on the way back (0450!).
Overall, a good hotel. However, the 3.5 star rating is too high. Also this report was for September 2006.
