We booked this holiday with receommendations from several friends. We were not disappointed. The place was very clean, staff lovely and the sun shone everyday - what more could a girl ask for! Buffet restaurant was great and had something for everyone. We also ate at the Italian, Spanish, Asian and Spanish restaurants and were all first class.

The location is quite remote but you don't actually have to leave the hotel as everything you need is there (including newspapers and nappies available in the hotel shop). The poolside can get very slippy when wet so I would recommend crocs/flip flops for all kids (and grown ups). The beach is small, but not suited to prams as you have a bit of a hike to get down to it and then very stoney getting into the sea.

Kids clubs were good especially the Junior Club (10 - 15 years) Anna who is 10 loved playing waterpolo with team leader Greta.

Entertainment is ok but quite late if you have little children with you.

Would definately go back to this hotel.

On arrival at the hotel you are greeted in a very professional manner by reception staff and cases collected by bell boys and delivered directly to your room within about 1/2 hour [obviously this will depend on the time of year].

The hotel was spotless and the staff were continually cleaning throughout the day and night, infact when we ate in the restuarant on our 1st evening our table was cleared before we had even finished our meal!!

The food was delicious, something for everyone in the buffet style restuarant, you would need to be overally fussy not to find something to eat. Drinks included in the restuarant are wine, beer and soft drinks. There is a choice of 3 a la carte restuarants available on this site, however, we believe there are two others in the other site. We found no problem booking but since we were only there for one week we happy enough to stay in the buffet restuarant.

There is notices around the restuarants informing gentlemen that they must were long trousers for dinner, however, we did notice a few men with short trousers, not sure if this is because it was off season, but we were not told this.

Hotel is located well away from the main resorts of Tenerife, however, we found this to be a plus rather then a negative!! A taxi to Las Americas is approx €17 each way depending on the time of day. You can easily walk to Playa Paraiso but there is not much to do there and the walk back to the hotel in the dark could be a bit hairy as you need to come down some steep sandy steps and cross a cobbly beach. The hotel also runs a courtesy bus but we are unsure of the times. On this holiday we searched the internet and hired a car for one week at a really great price.

The staff were all really nice and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble for them no matter what time of day or night.

We found the entertainment to be very bland in the Lobby bar [jazz singers / musicians every night]. The animiation team were on hand for all other entertainment which again suits some people but was not for us, they mimed a lot and it's a bit corny and out dated.

We would definately return to this hotel, however, we would have some reservations about returning in the height of the season as we could see that it could be very busy experience. We had no problem getting sunbeds each day no matter what time of the day we went to the pool, we don't think this would be the case in the summer months.

This was our 3rd visit to this hotel. we stayed in a "villa" room right next to the pool and it was superb. The hotel is kept spotless by friendly, efficient staff. The food was good quality and plentiful, while the themed restaurants (Asian, Mexican, Italian, Spanish and Seafood)were excellent with friendly staff and superb food. All of the staff made a fuss of the kids who were more than happy to stay within the hotel & square, although families with older kids who may find them getting a bit stir crazy due to the "remote" location of the hotel. The kids also loved the entertainment again may not appeal to teenagers looking for a bit more sophistication. personally if the kids are happy we're happy so no complaints from us!! The tour reps weren't particularily efficient or friendly (a total contrast to last year). we would love to go back but unfortunately UK tour operators insist that we will need 2 rooms whilst the german tour operators are happy to put 5 into a villa room - bit bizarre. If we can somehow overcome this we will be back in 2009.

If this hotel had an accessible beach or one near by it would maybe the best hotel I have visted. However, no matter how clean and gorgeous the hotel is it lacks being within reach of other things. eg shops, bars and especially beaches.
It is a real shame that the hotel owners have not got things just right with this hotel. You cannot fault the service or the food (but the al a carte resteraunts are nothing really to be raved about, quite basic really, but a change). The hotel appears to strive to present itself as a top notch hotel, no matter how hot and sticky the weather, men have to wear long trousers in the evening. This obviously causes an issue for the well travelled of us, when we buy tailored and designer 3/4 trousers for our male partners, espcially when we see others (males) wearing the same trousers every night for 7 to 14 nights (looking not too presentable really).
The bahia Principe is a lovely hotel, but not one that I would go back to. It felt a bit like a first class Butlins with sunshine the daily animation and music was so repetative, the shows were very basic and if you wanted to escape expect to pay £25.00 (return trip) if you require some civilisation. This hotel/ resort is not within walking distance to Las Americas or Adeje. The only way to get there is by taxi or bus and there is only 1 free bus a day into Las Americas from the hotel.
If you are going here hire a car and do this in advance as NIZA hire have not got many cars available betrween now and September 2008. FInal words are good luck and try and make the best out of you experience. If you like a pool holiday and isolation I am sure you will love this hotel, or if like me you like to have the choice to roam after your meal and shop at your leisure - hire a car during your stay.

It's excellent if you hire a car but probably a bit far out of the main resort if you dont. There are frequent buses though into town and taxis pull up outside. In a nutshell I have stayed in lots of holiday hotels over the years some excellent and one or two not so good. Travel the world if you like and this one I feel will stay in your memories for years to come for all the right reasons.
Go on book it you will not be disapointed (but i do recommend you also hire a car!
Muchas Gracias Bahia Principe "We loved You"!

Just returned from a weeks stay at this hotel so I try and give a very honest opinion and hope this will help you you if your thinking about booking here.
On arrival we were booked in very efficiently by very friendly staff and were soon in our room. First call was the balcony to check the view and I wasn't disappointed overlooking the pool with a sea view. The room itself was neat spacious and tidy with ceiling fan and air con. Mini bar had 2 bottles of water, 2 beers, 2 cola and a fanta which was topped up every day frfee of charge.Bathroom had two sinks, bath, shower, toilet and bidet. Toilet rolls even had bows tied at the end! The hotel overall was kept immaculatley clean. The gardens are superb and the pool area immaculate! The room maid even folded our towel in the shape of a swan and placed it on one of our beds. The hotel also offers a towel service for 10 euros which is refundable at the end of your holiday and also free use of the gym, squash court, jacuzzi and sauna.

Now on to the food, unreal to say the least. First you have the main buffet restaurant El mirador where the variety and quality of food is second to none. Steak, pork chops, dover sole, haddock, massive selection of salads pasta fruit cakes and even caviar and champagne for breakfast if you wanted it! Not a day went by when there was not something I wanted. However you can use the Italian, Spanish or Seafood a la carte during your stay which can be pre booked on the day. All of which were very good!
The location is not the best as there is nothing around the hotel only a few shops in the sqare which were quite expensive as they had no competition and were probably owned by the hotel! One shop wanted 23 euros for a stick of lip sun block!
The entertainment was none stop from morning til night with Nino, Daniele, Botolo, Raphael and the girls all doing a fantastic job.
If I had to be critical there are only a couple of things that would have made our stay more enjoyable... Firstly gents have to wear ankle length trousers for the evening meal as 3/4 length are not allowed. I only had a couple of pairs with me so I had to return to the room to get changed after my meal which was a bit inconvenient. secondly the evening entertainment was held in Pueblo square opposite the hotel reception. There is no All Inc bar here for drinks so you had to go to the lobby bar in the hotel which was accessed by a couple flights of stairs or a lift. Too much hassel for me so we opted to pay for our drinks in the sports bar which is located in the square and conveniently owned by the hotel. Apart from that we had a cracking holiday and will definitely be returning soon. Hope this helps. Happy holidays!!

Just come back from a fantastic two week holiday in the Bahia Principe Costa Adeje. Still singing the song and my 4 year old is doing the dance.

There were a few minuses during the two weeks but would go back tomorrow if i had the chance. One of the best all inclusives i have stayed in. The majority of drinks were help yourself, with plenty of access to drinks - a snack/pool side bar, main bar, mini bar in room stocked daily. Drinks is restaurants were served however if you want wine you get a bottle not a glass and beer/soft drinks are served by the jug. The food for adults was fantastic. Ate in the main restaurant every day and there was a choice of almost 10 different meals each night - steak, pork, chicken cooked fresh by a chef while you wait. The downside of the food was the kids meals - i thought it was a very poor selection. There were burgers and something every night, but my daughter ate pasta for lunch and dinner for two weeks. She didn't like the american fries, or chicken/fish bits that were offered. She didn't like the garlic/onion flavoured chicken nuggets either. THere were other restaurants which were apparently very good, but we stuck to the main one.

There is plenty of pool and sunbed space. Big tip - go to the middle pool. The bottom and very top pools, and the jacuzzi are absolutley freezing. After 30 mins my daughter was blue. Such a shame really. The middle one was ok though and right in the centre for the entertainment. Pools pretty clean and well maintained too. Places i've stayed before have variour bits of trees floating in it, but not these.

The location was the only other thing to mention on the poor side - the hotel is in the middle of no where. If you want a week or two by the pool its perfect. Just do not expected a walk - unless you're keen on mountain climbing through barran land! However there is a bus 3 times during the morning to Las Americas if you get desperate!

I thought the entertainment was fantastic. The animation team were really really good. One or two in particular stood out. The shows weren't really anything new and there was a lot of miming, but it always had a fun element to it. No one works as hard as the entertainment staff - 10am till midnight and still happy to sit an chat. Lots of activities during the day too if you wanted to join in, but no pressure.

A great holiday.

First impressions of this hotel were good. The reception and lobby area were immaculately presented and the greeting staff friendly and helpful.

Our room (Junior Suite) was possibly as far from reception as anything could have been. Felt like a half-mile walk every time, but it was worth it for the excellent sea views and the fact that we were right next to one of the pool areas.

The hotel is somewhat secluded. We always hire a car when we go away, so it wasn't too bad, with Costa Adeje, Playa de las Americas and Los Cristianos all within a 10-minute drive. There is also a footpath to Costa Adeje, which is about a 35 minute walk.

The best part about the holiday was jointly the food and the entertainment team. The food was of high-quality restaurant standard every single day. None of us could find fault with anything in the restaurant, and the staff were brilliantly friendly and helpful. The entertainment staff were excellent, and I can't praise them enough. They work a ridiculous amount of hours (sometimes from 9am until 2am) and they are always full of energy. The shows in the evening were done either by the entertainment team (purely amusing) or outside entertainers (sometimes spectacular). Look out for Rafael's singing and most of the guys' enjoyment of putting on dresses! Our daughter, who is 4, took an instant shine to one of the entertainers, Daniele from Italy. He was brilliant with her and made sure everyone felt welcome and had a good time.

I wouldn't hesitate to go back to this hotel. The staff, food, entertainment and facilities were excellent for my situation of 2 adults and one child. Top notch. :)

We have a relaxing week at this hotel, food excellant, clean everywhere, staff very helpful and polite.

The only trouble was there is no where to walk out to outside this hotel at night, ie. no bars or shops to wander to and walk off that evening meal.

Never know a hotel where everyone plays card games where they are so bored at night with nothing to do and the entertainment crap.

Just returned from a wonderful holiday, the only fault was the evening entertainment. The rest of the holiday was first class... Rooms had king size double bed and were cleaned every day. Mini bar also stocked up every day.

Food was fantastic. Pool areas were beautiful all landscaped absolutely stuning.loads to do sauna massage whirlpool. Staff at hotel were brilliant.

This hotel is just right if you want a relaxing stress free holiday.

We thought we had finished with All Inclusive holidays but after a few weekends in italy this year sightseeing we decided we needed a weeks relaxing holiday doing nothing. A couple of work collegues recommended it and they got it spot on.

We booked a junior suite (contrary to a previous review this hotel does have junior suites) which turned out be everything we hoped for. It had a king size bed and views over the ocean, the pool and the mountains. The hotel has a main buffet restaurant and 3 a la carte (Spanish, Italian and Seafood) which were all very good. I am not usually a fan of buffet but this was certainly the best I have encountered in Europe. You also have the option of eating once a week in each of the a la carte restaurants.

You can also eat breakfast in the Italian restaurant and lunch in the Spanish restaurant.

In the Restaurants there is waiter service for drinks.

There is also a pool side snack bar which will serve you the usual fare of burger, hot dog etc which was also good.

Outside the restaurants the drinks are mainly help yourself although there are other local spirits and cocktails, and tea or coffees which the barmen will serve you with.

All the staff were very good at there jobs and always had a ready smile.

The main entertainment area is shared between the Bahia principe coste adeje and the Bahia principe tenerife (which is close by) and it is certainly an attractive area. However the Bahia principe coste adeje also had entertainment outside the bar area and we tended to go there where the entertainment was a bit more low key (jazz band, singer etc.) and quieter which we like. The hotel is very attractive and the grounds look stunning at night when the lighting shows the trees and water features at there best.

The location of the hotel is not great for those who wish to find other things to do in the evening but then why would you when you are in a great all inclusive hotel.

My wife and I, 2 sons and my mother in law are going back to the Bahia principe coste adeje in April and we can't wait.

Thanks Bhia principe costa adeje for a great holiday.

This was our seventh trip to the Bahia and we cannot recommend it enough! Food is excellent, we ate in the main buffet and also the italian, spanish, seafood & asian a la cartes, the asian being our favourite. Plenty of choice and also a childrens menu. Plenty of alcohol, the set up in the lobby bar had changed since our last vist and beer is now serve yourself as are spirits, soft drinks, wines etc. This meant no queues!
If you want a cocktail or something different the bar staff will serve you. There is a self service bar in the square for while you are watching the entertainment, but only does beer, sangria, wine & soft drinks. Also they have craftily changed the time of the main 'show' to 10.15 until 11.15 so the main lobby bar is closed when it finishes! Not really a problem, just get a round in before 11!
Pools all clean, you cannot reserve sunbeds until 8am now which is much better than having to go down at 7am!
We never had any trouble with sunbeds or parasols, in fact we sat on the same beds for a fortnight!
Poolside entertainment is good, aqua splash at 11.30 is highly amusing every day (& very loud!), the chap that does it must be shattered afterwards!!! There's also darts, archery, bahia superstar etc but the animation team don't pester you if you're not interested.
Evening entertainment was ok, the Freddie Mercury/Robbie Williams tribute show done by the reps was very good but after having seen Grease every holiday for the past eight years it was starting to wear a bit thin!
Rooms still immaculate,no complaints at all there. Email the hotel beforehand & request a pool view as that is the nicest side of the hotel.
The small rocky hotel beach now has sunbeds & a little hut where you can get beer etc. You can also walk across it to get to playa paraiso which is full of gift shops(much cheaper than at the hotel!)
Staff all friendly & helpful, most of them speak good English & you always get a 'ola' from the maids.
All in all we had another great holiday there, if you just want to relax in beautiful surroundings with good food & drink it will suit you down to the ground. We are going again for a week in October so what better recommendation could you have!

No problems with the cleanliness of the hotel everything kept immaculate. We had one of the junior suite the rooms are very spacious. The two lower rooms have a fantastic big veranda. With the hotel having the choice of 5 a la carte restaurants and a main one if you plan round the a la carte which you can visit 3 per week it gives you a fantastic variety. They are asian mexican italian spanish and fish, Highly recommend the mexican and asian food and service was fantastic.Staff are very polite and cant do enough for you.entertainment was not bad some good singers and a few jazz bands for the adults and the usual team for the kids at night bust must say some of the shows done at night by the team were ok.hotel a bit out of the way but you expect that with a all inclusive. How ever if you wish to go to Las Americas a bus leaves at 12.00 and pick you up at 5.00 free. Just one thing forgot to mention bottles of wine you can have one with breakfast lunch and dinner there is loads of it.

There were 3 family's that stayed in this hotel together. We arrived at 2pm only to be told that our rooms were not ready, very frustrating as after 12 hours of travelling we just wanted to get out bikinis on and hit the pool as it was so hot.

We went for some lunch in the restaurant and sampled their wine, which was delicious 10/10. After we had finished dining we went back to reception and our rooms were ready.

The rooms are lovely and clean and large too. The weather was cloudy during our stay and the pools (even the heated one) were at times too cold for my little girl to go in.

The speciality restaurants were fab, as were the normal everyday restaurant - could not fault the food. The only downfall of the hotel that there are 24 steps that there is no lift to take you up and with a pram it was very annoying having to carry it up several times a day.

The children enjoyed the evening entertainment and even though the bar was downstairs, you could order as many drinks as you like each, there was no limit and take them back upstairs.

There is a small pebbly beach nearby, which was being renovated whilst we were there. Overall we had a good holiday, wouldn't stay there again, but we never go back to any hotel twice as I think there are too many places to try and not enough time to do it!!

Just returned for a weeks all inclusive and had a great time. The hotel was spotlessly clean with maid service everyday. I would go back but overall I impression is that the hotel caters more for couples than families but for a week is great.

From the hotel to the pool there is a steep incline which may be unsuitable for the elderly, however, there are ramps and lifts everywhere.

The food was plentyful, however, I felt there was little choice for my 7yr old. The restuarants are open from early to late which was great.

The entertainment team work hard involving adults and children with the kids club on twice a day. The night time entertainment was held outwith the hotel in a square adjoining the hotel. I found this inconvenient as you had to give up your seat if you needed to go back to the hotel to get a drink. There is a bar within the square but this is not free to all inclusive users and is a bit pricy. The main lobby bar is lovely and it is a help yourself to drink and I have to say I never once seen anyone drunk during my stay.

The pools are great and there is even one slightly heated - but be careful we found some sharp broken tiles within the pool which caused minor cuts on our feet.

On arrival at the hotel, we were very impressed. The reception area was very elegant and very clean! We had booked a villa type room to give us more space with the children. The room was spotless, spacious and about 20 steps away from the childrens pool - excellent! The room was spotless all the time as the maid came everyday.

The food was out of this world, so much to try. There are a few speciality restaurants to give you abit of variety, but to be honest, the main restaurant served up different dishes every night. Book early for the speciality restaurants if you want specific times as they do get booked up quickly. A couple of the bars were self serve which was great - no queues, no restrictions.

The location of the hotel is abit out but this is nothing we didn't know as it did state it in the brochure. But with it being all inclusive we didn't have to leave the hotel anyway, although we did miss our nightly walks that we usually have when we go away.

Hotel staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough for you.

Entertainment is on throughout the day and the reps do try and get you involved, but they are quite happy to leave you alone if it isn't your thing. Didn't see alot of the night entertainment as it started abit late for us - with 2 young children they were exhausted by 9pm!

All the pools were immaculate. The only annoying thing was the reserving of sunbeds. It does state this isn't allowed but of course it does happen and no one does anything about it. Luckily with our two children we were always up early so got a great spot by the childrens pool. I would imagine that in school holidays they get reserved pretty quick.

I would definitely go back to this accommodation but would wait until my children are a little older. Would recommend to anyone - fantastic time had by all!!

Spent 10 days at this fab hotel. We have been to Tenerife quite a few times and this is by far the best hotel we have stayed in.

We had a junior suite which was very spacious and had plenty of room for us all.

Food was very very good in the main restaurant with lots of choice and of a very good standard. There are other restaurants but we didn't get to go as we did not want to be tied down to times with the children. These restaurants have to booked in advance and do get booked up quickly. The main restaurant met our needs.

Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Pools very clean and nice with the usual towels on sunbed thing!

There is not much to do around the hotel but we did not feel the need to leave as it had everything we needed. All in all a very relaxing holiday and would def do All Inclusive again.

We travelled to this holiday fully armed with information both from this site and our friends who we were going with. This was thier second visit to this hotel and upon arrival I can see why!

The entrance/ reception is massive and grand, full of marble and balconies and murials on the walls with a very high roof. The result is very impressive for your first impressions. Our friends and us have very high standards and I can say without any fear of contradiction that the whole hotel complex is first class.

The food was excellent and plentifull in all area's and is very hard to control yourself at the buffet style servings, something I must say I failed to do !!

There is a good mixture of European foodstuffs and is as good a time as any to try any new specialty foods you have not tried before. If you are after some typical English pub grub then this is not for you, if you have a more refined pallet then you will enjoy the food emensley.

The hotel was spotlessly clean and every single day the staff could be seen cleaning all public area's and the maid service was brilliant, changing the towels and cleaning our room. The staff were always cheerful and polite and would always help you if asked.

The hotel is situated on a hill. That is to say you have a semi-steep hill to walk from the very bottom (infinity pool) to the top ( reception). There are lifts to help but this might not suit the more elderly traveller.

There is a small sandy beach beside the hotel but is very rocky.

The swimming pools (three of them , 1x heated, 1x normal and 1x infinity pool ) were large enough for anyone although are only chest-deep at the deepest end in all three.

The entertainment was the only thing to let this holiday down as the evening could have been better with a bit more variety (one entertainer was on three times in the week , day on day off )but that said the entertainment staff did put on a few good shows and the snake lady was fun for all !!They did have a kids club everyday and other stuff going on at poolside for the adults, you could join in or not, no pressure.

We would definately go there again and we are also looking at the other locations for Bahia-Principe.com . If these are thier standards, they will continue to have my business.

In short, you will be hard pushed to find a better quality holiday for the price you have paid....enjoy!!

we found the hotel to be very nice, the all inclusive to our family is very much the same as other hotels we have stayed in on this board.

There was always something for everyone, but people do get fed up with the same sort of food, but we find that's the same at home.

You can't please everyone we had no complaints.

The staff at this hotel work very hard and are always cleaning up and were very nice to our family.

There was games for people to join in raffle shooting, darts, pool etc with Ben the entertainer who was good with everyone. There could of been a bit more choice of evening entertainment bingo, man playing piano, flamingo dancers, mini disco, not that much to keep you occupied all week.

They have also got a nice roof top for adults but there was'nt a pool up there or a bar you had to go down stairs.

When the games were on during the day they were held mostly on the roof top, the pool was very cold it was like a block of ice even though the weather was really hot it could do with a bit of heat in it.

The bedroom had 2 single beds 2 bedside draws and one double sided mirror warddrobe which we found plenty for all needs then you had sofa bed sleeps 2 not very comfy plus a tele one English channel but you don't go away to watch the tele not us anyway.

There was a fridge in the room which was empty wall cupboard and cupboard which the tele was on which you could use.

Clean towels everyday sheets change once, we only stayed for one week beds maid everyday bathroom cleaned toilet rolls replaced, the snack bar is by the pool serving drinks hot & cold beer ice cream you need to ask what's on the all inclusive from the snack bar when we arrived friday about 3pm our son wanted a burger but was not on the all inclusive so we paid for that we did ask before hand, when we asked what the snacks were we were told small swiss roll, ham&cheese sandwhich made into small triangle, we have been to a lot of all inclusive hotels but the snack here were a complete was of time.

We hired a safe I think it was 25 euro you got 10 back at the end.

We always got a sunbed you were not allowed to put towels on the sunbeds to keep them the staff would remove them after a time which I think is only fare. I have been to hotels and people have put towels on the beds and gone of to the beach for the day.

There were German, Spanish, Scottish etc staying at this hotel and everyone would nod to you, we found that the British children were left to run around there was'nt a great deal of them, but when the ones who used to run around went home it was better.

Wow! What a fantastic time we've just had. This hotel was great can't believe that some people have been moaning about this place, suppose you just can't please some people.

On arrival our cases were taken from us and taken to our rooms by the bell boys check in was smooth and fast. On departure we called to say our cases were ready again the bell boys came and dealt with them.

Requested extra pillows and they arrived within 10 minutes, maid came in everyday and there's also a mini bar in the room which is stocked with water, tins of coke, fanta, beer etc. daily.

We had a problem with our bathroom sewage smell it was dealt within 20 minutes of reporting it and the maintenance men kept coming back to check with us to see if everything was OK.

Great choice of food, snack bar was equally good. My husband loved the fact that the bar was self service so he could go and pull himself a pint!

My daughter loved the kids club twice a day for 2 hours each session plus shows and mini disco. Gave us a chance to relax and sunbathe, no problem with getting sunbeds no matter what time we went to the pool including after lunch. Towels were available to hire wish we had left ours at home and used this system.

The location is a bit out of the way but the hotel runs shuttle buses and has a taxi rank and there's also the public bus to use, we went to Las Americas a few time by taxi and it cost about 15 euros for 5 of us so I don't think that's to bad.

The one thing I must say is that I don't think i'd like to go to this hotel in summer season, it was just right when we went but I can imagine the pools getting rather busy.

This was our 3rd visit to this Hotel.

I think the Hotel is fine for couples but for families with children not so good due to the lack of a decent beach and the continual climbing of steps to get anywhere and I am thinking pushchairs etc.
The Adult entertainment is not so good and doesn't start till late and is mostly amateurish homegrown stuff.
On the plus side the food is excellent.
The staff are excellent.
The rooms are excellent with good cleaning staff.
The pools are great.
I would say this place is really suitable for adults looking to get away for 1 or 2 weeks and to chill out from a work environment.

This is the first time we have been all inclusive & were abit apprehensive with reports we had heard about all inclusive hotels but this all inclusive hotel was fantastic as regards the food, it could not be faulted, there was always plenty with plenty of choice & of good quality with any type of drink you required, i've never drunk so much champagne.

The cleanliness could not be faulted in any area of the hotel especially our room. as regards the hotel staff, the dining room & the maids were wonderful but the reception were offish & the first choice rep team were rubbish, I find this hard to say as our daughter is a rep but we had a problem with having to pay extra for our room on arrival & they just did not want to know as we had to pay 140euros on arrival for a junior suite which we had not booked.

The room was fantastic but it took the joy out of it costing us an extra 140euros when the holiday hadn't been cheap in the first place & especially since we hadn't asked for it.

The location was rubbish & for this reason alone we would not go back to this hotel.

The evening entertainment was awful & didn't start till 10pm. So if as we liked, you had your evening meal early then there was nothing to do till 10pm, had this hotel been in a better location we could have gone out for a lovely evening walk but there was nowhere to go & nothing to do.

We've never had so many early nights on holiday. To sum it all up, fantastic hotel can't be faulted we just wish we could pick it up & put it in the middle of Costa Adeje.

I think when we booked this hotel we were misled being told it was in Costa Adeje as we have stayed in Costa Adeje before which we know has plenty to do day & night if wanted, with a lovely beach.

Just returned and must say we had a great time. The hotel was beautiful, all public areas and gardens were clean and well maintained.

Our room was lovely, I had e mailed the hotel the week prior to arriving and requested a king size bed and thats what we got on arrival.

Found the staff to be really friendly and helpful, phoned reception to ask for extra pillows and they were sent to the room right away.

We ate in the buffet restaurant every night of our 7 night stay and it was very good, there was plenty of choice for all meals and the food was replenished frequently so never looked picked over.

The only hitch with this hotel, I think , is the location, some people may find it a little isolated, it wasnt a problem for us as we had a hire car, in fact I quite liked that it wasnt in the middle of the ' action '.

Would definitely return to this hotel.

Our first time at this hotel which turned out to be the best yet in Tenerife.

The location may not suit everyone, but if you want a quiet relaxing holiday free from loud bars and endless souvenir shops then this could be the place for you.

No need to wake at 7pm to reserve your sunbed as has been the case in most other hotels.
The food was very good, especially in the themed restaurants with plenty of choice, although a couple of evening meals in the main restaurant were perhaps not quite up to scratch.

Only one pool was heated but it wasn’t too much of a problem as the day warmed up!

The daytime activities were fine and evening entertainment OK and took place inside the hotel, not in the square outside – maybe this was due to the slightly chilly evenings.

The waterfall and fountains were running practically all day and we were given a questionnaire to complete.

The hotel is set in beautifully kept grounds, and cleanliness is second to none. We will definitely return.

Hotel-beautiful, with stunning outdoor garden and pool areas.

Rooms - we had a junior suite which was just a bigger room really, not worth £100 extra and shouldn't be called a suite

Food - big selection, but couldn't put my finger on it, just not 4 1/2* eg carvery meat overdone stews etc underdone

cleanliness - excellent

There were a few things that bothered me about this hotel. our patio door wouldn't lock so I phoned reception as our room was on the ground floor. I also asked for extra pillows. The reception said that the 2 rooms next to ours had the same problem, so he would sort it out. Nothing happened so we were left with an unlocked room for the week -not ideal!

Also there is a lovely waterfall running through the gardens but we only seen it working on the first afternoon. I asked why but no one seemed to know why, also 90% of the balcony lights were never lit, but the hotel was very busy. I just got the impression there was a penny pinching operation going on.at the snack bar wine and beer were only served.

If you wanted spirits you had to walk to the pool bar, where oddly there were no tables or chairs, and if you wanted a cocktail you had to walk up to the lobby bar, it just seemed like all these measures were put in place to save money.

Listen, we had a great time and the place was lovely but when you pay good money, these niggles just bug me. Also there was no questionnaire to fill in, to me that just proves the management are not really interested.

We stayed in the Costa Adeje side of the Hotels and found this to be great. We booked flights and Hotel separate and saved quite a bit off the brochure price.

The Hotel itself is clean and the food was excellent lots of choice. Its location is a bit away from anything but if you go all inclusive you don't want to be paying for things outside of the Hotel.

All in all a great Hotel and would definitley recommend.

We stayed in the Adeja part of the hotel and it was fantastic, food was great, the rooms were very large and luxurious.

We had a junior suite, the all inclusive drinks include cocktails and and everything else you can think of that is local brand ,we went to the dunas paraiso the year before and thought that was good but this place is far superior in every way.

We have booked to go next year, the location is a bit out of the way but you can get a bus or a taxi to most places, the entertainment is usual hotal entertainment not really our cup of tea, but all in all a fantastic holiday.

First impressions with this hotel were very good. The reception area was very nice and because We arrived late at night we were given a packed lunch. We went to our rooms and then waited for the porters to bring our luggage to our rooms.

The rooms were very clean and spacious.

The pool area and gardens were lovely and well kept and clean. Getting pool loungers was never a problem as there were plenty to go at.

Food wasn't too bad but found it to be pretty much the same each day in the main restaurant although there are themed restraunts like a Mexican and Italian that you can eat at but you need to book these.

The location of the hotel is dire. It's in the middle of nowhere. They do run a service bus from the hotel which cost 4 euros but it goes at 10am and you have to be back by 1pm (3 hours). They do run a free bus that goes to town at 12 midday and brings you back at 5pm but this is when siesta is on. They won't allow you to go on the 10am bus and return on the 5pm bus. You can catch a taxi but these cost 15 euros each way.

Entertainment is poor as far as adult entertainment is concerned. To see the entertainment you have to leave the main hotel and cross over to a square which is decked with chairs and has a few trinket shop around it. Early evening it's geared towards the kids then at 10pm the adult entertainment starts but only lasts for about an hour.

Drinks (inclusive package) are plentyful throughout the day but they do stop serving at 11pm on the dot. If you go to the square for entertainment you have to take a drink from the hotel with you as they don't have free drinks on offer until 10pm, Then this little self service bar opens up for about three quaters of an hour. The guy on the door normally shuts it earlier than he should but to be honest the beer in this place is dire. There is another alternative to get a drink and thats to get a drink from the Sportsmans bar (Sportsmans bar that doesn't have SKY) but you do have to pay from here which does brass you off when all inclusive.

All in all we were not too impressed with the place, It was too isolated and because of the isolation you rely on a good bus service and good entertainment which was poor so we definatly wont be going back.

This was the first time I had travelled to an all inclusive hotel....and yes, we were very impressed from the off. From the grand reception hall (with huge domed ceiling) down to the infinity pool and outside jacuzzi...this was the best hotel we've ever stayed in.

The standard of cleanliness is second to none, even the outside lamps along the paths were cleaned every morning.Ok, so the location isn't ideal, but you are on such an enormous complex, you dont need to venture outside the two hotels (you can use standard facilities at sister hotel also, next door) between the the two hotels there are 5 restaurants, although be sure to book speciality restaurants as soon as you arrive as these get booked up very quickly.

The Italian Restaurant (Portofino's) is a better choice for breakfast than the main buffet restaurant as there is more choice...in fact, there is everything you could possibly ask for at breakfast time.... Lunch is better in the main buffet, we changed our minds about going to snack bar as 'the pigeons' were still resident. But the variety and quality of food in buffet restaurant is outstanding.

The all inclusive drinks are fine, and if you find the soft drinks a little flat, you can ask for them at the bar itself (the lobby bar - all incl). The entertainment in all based in The Pueblo Principe (the saquare) across the way from reception, you dont need to go down stairs for all incl drinks as the snack bar in the square supplies them also...same selection...local shorts (which are absolutely fine) wine, lager and soft drinks etc. This also finishes at 11pm unfortunately but you can always pour a few out just before and sit in square chatting with your new friends, and if you want to carry on drinking, the 'nightclub' La Fiesta is open till 3am and drinks are not that expensive 1.50 Euro for a bottle of lager.

The entertainment, which also finishes at 11pm is not too good, in fact, its the only thing wrong with this hotel. The so-called adults entertainment is from 10 - 11pm every night, but its more suitable for the kids really, watching shows and reps dancing, no real live music or dancing in the aisles, could benefit from bands who get you dancing and singing along!!!

We even treated ourselves to a body massage in the hotels spa which lasted 30min and only cost 25 Euros...followed by inside jacuzzi and sauna (all incl) I aslo believe there was squash courts as well.

Would we go there again....already looking at brochure!

The best holiday ever!

We arrived at the Bahia Principe at 9.30 pm. Check-in was quick and easy. We had emailed prior to going and requested a sea view and high floor in a double room, we got all 3! We also requested an upgrade to the Tenerife section of the hotel wich we could have got the day after but as we were only there a week our original room was excellent so we never bothered.

Pool towels are provided and can be changed every day but you do have to leave 10euros deposit which is returned on check-out.
Safety deposit boxes cost 2 euros per day.

The food in the hotel was OK, not brilliant, but you could always find something to eat. We went into 2 of the a-la-carte restaurants (Chinese and Italian)both were excellent - you got a full half of crispy duck in the chinese one! I read on some reviews that you had to swap 2 for 1 if you wanted to eat in an a la carte which wasn't in your hotel, I don't think this applies anymore as when we booked our two the PR lady asked if we wanted to book another so we used our three up, we could have gone in any we wanted.
You can have breakfast either in the main restaurant or the Italian - we chose the Italian as the food seemed hotter and it was a bit quieter - you could eat outside in either if you wished.
Lunch was in either the main restaurant or the spanish one or the snack bar all were OK.

The pools are great. In the Costa Adeje there are 3 huge pools, the middle one is used for all the games, aerobics etc the other two are quieter. The Tenerife has two pools.

Drinks are a bit sad! The help yourself tables are OK but the soft drinks were always flat! You had to pay for all premium drinks but if you do want these buy them in the hotel, not the bar in the Pueblo Principe entertainment area as a Jack Daniels and coke in the hotel was 2.30 euros compared to 7.50 in the outside bar!

The bars do close dead on 11pm for alcoholic drinks but soft drinks are on 24hrs as are snacks but after midnight you have to go back over to the Pueblo Principe, which if you are staying in blocks 3,4,5 or 6 is a long walk!!

The entertainment was OK not the best but the animation team worked hard day and night.

In the Puebloe Principe square where all the entertainmet was there was a few shops and a bouncy castle for the kids also a sweet stall.

The rooms were huge! All with big balconies and were kept spotlessly clean by the maids. The toilet is seperated off by swing doors and there are his n her sinks which was pretty cool!!

I think a week or ten days is long enough to stay in the Bahia Principe as everything starts getting a bit repetitive as there is literally nowhere to go in the evening but for a chilled out week it was great.

All in all we had a nice time and would go back.

Hotel was fantastic. Was here in April with some friends and booked straight away when I got home to come with the family. Hotel was spotless. There was always maids cleaning everywhere you went.

Food was brilliant. Mexican and Fish restaurants were great. Recommend to book speciality restaurants as soon as you arrive because they get booked very quickly in high seaon.

Hotel staff were always very polite and friendly.

Entertainment was fine for young children up to about 12. Only complaint was that you had to go down two flights of stairs to get your drinks.

Would definitely visit again.

Bahia Principe Adeje, We arrived late at night at were greeted by friendly check-in staff and were given a small packed lunch as we had missed out on the evening meal.

It took us only about 30 mins transfer from the Airport and on first impressions we were impressed with what we saw. The rooms are large and clean and when we asked for extra pillows they were delivered as soon as possible.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner menu's were ok and there is a lot of choice. The hotel is miles from anywhere though and a taxi ride into Fanabe will cost you about 15 Euros (£10.00). Beware some taxi drivers will turn off their meters when you arrive and ask you just to pay what you think. I only had a 50 Euro note and he thought he was going to get that. Wrong. After a row he ended up with 10 Euro's which was two cheaper than than the real cost of the journey. Luckily my wife had some other notes.

The evening entertainment is ok but very disappointing when it all finishes at 11.00pm. Lights off thanks and goodnight. There is virtually nothing for teenagers to do other that roam about. They are too old for the kids club and too young for any other activities, even volleyball.

Make your way down two storeys to the patio bar and you find thats closed at 11.00pm also. There is a disco until 3.00am but you need to pay for any drinks after 11.00pm.

Unfair when you have paid £1000.00 each to get there all-inclusive in the first place. The pool bar during the day will supply hambugers, nuggets etc but after seing pidgeons regularly sitting in the salad and eating the food off the serving plates we decided to give it a miss.

The themed restaurants however are excellent, particularly the mexican, and the food and staff are second to none.

You WILL be given tequila by the bucket load. We tried to get a late check-out and were constantly told to try on the departure morning, we were however offered a late check-out if we paid the fella 130 Euros. We didn,t. Your cases are put in a locked room, the key of which is given to anyone thats asks for it so not really too secure.

Would we visit this hotel again. Definately not.

Having recently returned from our second visit to the Bahia Principe, I thought I would post a review on a hotel that we think is fabulous and to assist anybody considering a holiday here, or anybody wishing to return.

If you are looking for a hotel with a typical British booze fuelled party atmosphere then I'm sorry, this is not the place for you!

If you are looking for a high quality hotel with an excellent choice of food and drink in a very relaxing atmosphere, then this is the place for you!

Since our last visit in July 2004, we think the evening entertainment, although not brilliant, has improved dramatically. The live music on the Lobby Bar Terrace now has different acts as opposed to the same duo all of the time and the Pueblo Principe entertainment is also more varied. Another improvement we noticed during our second week was the addition of a self-service all-inclusive bar for beer, soft drinks and spirits in the Pueblo Principe during the evening entertainment, this means no going to the lobby bar for drinks and also cutting the queues at the lobby bar.

Having read other reviews on this hotel we find it hard to agree with some of the negative points mentioned. All I can say is that we have returned to this hotel after a 2 year gap and once again had an excellent time. There are also many other repeat guests who feel exactly the same. If anything, I feel the standards in this hotel have improved!!!

We will definitely be returning!!

We arrived at midnight and were greeted by friendly reception staff and told where we could get a snack.

Next day we were amazed by the cleanliness of the hotel and the range of food on offer for breakfast. Our good impressions lasted throughout the holiday and we loved everything about this hotel.

With 2 teenagers we think this is an ideal type of holiday, our only criticism being there could have been something organised for evening entertainment for the 13 - 16 year olds who weren't allowed in the disco.

The Animation team were friendly and helpful but not at all pushy if you didn't want to join in!

All our meals were good and the restaurant staff all very efficient. We were in the Tenerife hotel which is smaller and quieter than the Costa Adeje.

We would definately recommend this holiday to families - the holiday is what you make it!

Well, where do you start? On arriving at the Bahia Principe we were told that we had to check in at the other hotel, this being the Bahia Principe Tenerife. We waited for the golf cart to pick us and our luggage up. 5 minutes later our Bell Boy delivered us to the other reception minus our luggage (he wouldn't let us touch it). After checking in and getting the necessary wrist bands, safety deposit box and towel chitty we were then shown to our room again minus our luggage, this was brought up to us 5 minutes later.

On entering our room we were slightly dumbstruck. The size was huge. We had decided to upgrade to a Junior Suite and this was well worth it. And the view was something. We overlooked the pool and the ocean. We thought that we had made the right choice.

As it was late when we arrived, we just went down to the buffet restaurant. What a choice - just too much to mention here. Yes, I tend to agree with some reports on this site about the food been slightly cold, however this did improve over the week.

We had a choice of 3 al a carte restaurants and we picked the Italian, Asian and Mexican. Out of the 3, we found the Asian the best and only because we were stuffed afterwards!!! The food in all 3 were very good and the service second to none. In the Asian and Mexican, the Head Chef made a point of coming out and talking to the guests.

The drinks situation was very good. During the day around the pool you just helped yourself which I found worked very well. Tip, make sure you pack a Thermos Cup with you. This will keep your drinks much cooler than the plastic ones on offer. Also you can get more in hence less trips to the bar. The lobby bar was bar service until around 8pm. Afterwards, they put out a selection of Spirits and fizzy pop for you to help yourself - the hotel Costa Adeje had this from 10am - 11pm. On most evenings there was live music on the terrace ranging from jazz to keyboards to saxophonist.

We found that the cheapest way to get into Playa de Las Americas was by bus - bus stop just up the road. Cost 1.60 euros each way. The bus timings were something else. Just have to sit and wait. A taxi one way cost 16 euros and the hotel courtesy bus was 4 euros per person.

The location of the hotel is somewhat desolate. It took a good 20 minutes to walk into Playa Paraiso. It mainly consisted of a few bars, a supermarket and a couple of banks. The hotel has a bit of a beach mostly rocky and with imported sand. Also there is a little beach bar where you can still get your inclusive drinks from.

All in all we enjoyed our stay at the Bahia Principe, favouring the Tenerife Hotel to the Costa Adeje. It was more relaxed and slightly more sophisticated. Do bear in mind that the Costa Adeje is a 4 star hotel, the Tenerife displayed 5 stars.

Would we go again, yes we would. A week is just long enough. Two weeks I would probably find very hard as there isn't much to do other than relax. Also, we wouldn't go in the school holidays as we would except the complex to be very busy.

We had an excellent week here staying at the Costa Adeje site. We didn't manage to walk the 50 yards to the sister site (Tenerife) but wish we had made the effort to go to the Chinese Restaurant.

The Hotel is spotless and the staff are all really friendly and polite. The poolside activities are varied and very noisy, but not really our thing!

The all-inclusive aspect is outstanding, with self service tables fully stocked in the lobby bar so there are not queues and you can knock up your own cocktails if you wish! (Long Martini: Tall glass, Lots of ice, equal measures of vodka, vermouth and sprite)

The main buffet restaurant was good, with plenty of choice. We also ate in the Spanish, Seafood and Italian Restaurant's. The Seafood was not particularly good, with quite poor service. The other 2 were very good.

We asked for and got a quite room, overlooking the beach. The rooms are large, with nice clean facilities.

All in all a very good holiday, at an excellent hotel. Its so good that we are going to the sister resort in Mexico for 2 weeks in 07! We will definitely be coming back to Bahia in Tenerife too!

We have read all of the reviews regarding the hotels, so here goes ours.

On our arrival we were told that our junior suite was not available, and had been given to a Canarian party. We stayed in a double room. This appears to be a common problem as we found 14 others families in the same position, the worse being a nice family (I hope they review) who had two small children and were crammed into a double. The hotel tried to make amend by upgrading our wristband from (blue Costa Adeje, red Tenerife)to yellow which allowed access to the nightclub and the bar in the the main square without payment, and gave us an afternoon at a spa in town, which was great, also fruit and sparkling wine in the room.

With all the add on, we are being reimbursed the difference between a suite and a double back at home, but it still wasn't what we wanted. Of the families we found who were downgraded 12 were English and 2 were Spanish so beware if you book. We spoke to a travel agent who was holidaying there, who informed us that the Tenerife side was given over exclusively to Germans and Scandinavians, unless you book through First Choice who have a block booking.

One big problem is sunbeds, more to the point sunshades,(very limited) which are fully booked by 8am with
people getting up as early as 3am YES 3am to reserve sunshades( although allegedly not allowed.)

Food. The main restaurant was okay, but not better that an average 3 star, what saved it was the Al a cartes. The Spanish restaurant was by far the best, we ate there twice because of our yellow wrist bands. The Asian, Mexican and Italian were all better than the main restaurant.

The worse part,I made the mistake of not putting some money into the safe on day and on return to the room found 50 euros missing from my pocket. I reported this to the hotel, but I think they didn't believe me, and as compensation gave us 2 t shirts(great). The lesson is have a safe and use it.

This may make me sound like a huge whinger, but I'm not, I'm an average bloke wanting to take his wife away for a deserved break, and expects to get what I pay for. Our travel company were great however the hotel did give the impression that they would smile to your face(not everyone)but didn't care because you were English.

I am sorry to ramble on and sorry to say these things, butI tell the truth, book, and find out for yourself.

This hotel is the worst hotel we have ever stayed in, more like a 2* than 4* superior, if you want a good top class hotel go to the Torviscas Playa or Bahia Princess and compare.

All plates and glasses in the restaurant were dirty and the drinks service no existant, unless you are Spanish!

The least said about the cold slop that they class as food, my husband had to ask for his dinner to be microwaved several times, and if you like rice pudding and mousse for dessert your ok as thats all you will get for two weeks.

On arrival we were told our junior suite was not available as they had had trouble with the water, this was a complete lie, the hotel was over booked and families were using these, this says it all about the management at this hotel, several english customers were without junior suites as they were full of spanish and french families.

The hotel is in the middle of nowhere, Praia Paraiso is a supermarket and two bars and the other side of the hotel is used by new age travelers and campers (be careful if you walk in this area its used as a toilet by the above)
all in all our worst holiday ever!!!!!

This is the second time I have been here in the last 6 months (see previous review) this time however, I travelled with my Mum and 6 year old sister.
Hotel was excellent as usual, no complaints whatsoever, however the rule of not being allowed to reserve sunbeds appears to be never adhered to. All beds in the vicinity of the heated pool were gone by the time the average holidaymaker gets up!
Still this didn't spoil it for us, if you cant beat them join them!

Unfortunately, the breakfasts have not improved any since our last stay, previously we stayed across the road at the Tenerife and endured barely luke warm breakfasts on almost every day of our stay.
It is sadly the same case at the Costa Adeje, the cooked breakfasts (sausage, scrambled eggs, beans etc) were all almost inedible, on our 3rd day we decided we couldnt bare it any longer and opted for cooked to order omelettes so at least we would have something hot.
It is a real shame and I find it hard to believe there are not others who think the same, we reported this to the rep who said he would have to try it for himself to find out, obviously our word wasn't good enough.

One thing which I have established having stayed at both hotels now, the Tenerife is more suited to people travelling without children, it has a more mature and relaxing atmosphere whereas the hustle and bustle and sheer size of the Costa Adeje makes it far better for families.
Entertainment, less said the better, a real let down.

Overall, another enjoyable stay at the Bahia Principe with only minor complaints and not enough to stop us going back again some time in the future.

My husband and I have just returned from a 4 night stay at this hotel. We booked online a couple of weeks beforehand having checked out the First Choice brochure and read the reviews on Tripadvisor, which in general seemed good. There were reviews which said this hotel wasn't for the discerning traveller and that the tattooed football shirt-wearing Sun reader was in healthy supply but I focused more on the reviews which said the hotel was excellent. Bad move. These negative reviews were very accurate.

We found the hotel building itself to be very good and the views from the hotel are wonderful. Our room was sea-facing and well maintained and clean, with the exception of the bathroom floor which needed a good wash with disinfectant rather than the casual sweep with a broom that the cleaning staff performed. The location of the hotel is at the far end of the resort in quite a remote spot but we had hired a car from the airport so this wasn't a problem for us. The worst aspects of the hotel for us were the food and the service. The food in the buffet restaurants was lacking in variety and choice. We take 3 or 4 all-inclusive holidays each year, usually in Mexico and Turkey and have never before found such poor food in a supposedly 4 star hotel. To be fair, we ate at the Italian and Spanish a la carte restaurants and these were a great improvement, though hardly a la carte. In both restaurants though, we were were served the wrong meals. The poolside snack bar was poor. It offered nuggets, dried up pizza, fries and nachos which were okay once but this was the daily menu. The AI drinks were limited (though there was of course the option to pay for decent drinks), I'm normally quite happy with most red wine but the wine here was disgusting. I tried the rose in the hope that this would be better but alas not. The other main failing of this property was the staff. In fairness, most were friendly enough but there just weren't enough waiting staff employed here. We sat on many occasions and watched people arrive at empty tables and remove the empty glasses to another table where they stayed for hours. In the buffet restaurants, plates were not cleared between courses, simply because there just weren't enough staff. At breakfast we waited ages for coffee (no facilities for getting your own) and watched as people queued outside for tables which were unoccupied, just littered with empty plates.

In summary, I can't say that this hotel is excellent, just okay. What I can say is that I wished I had taken more notice of the negative comments I read before booking. This hotel is definitely NOT for the discerning traveller and based on our experience here (thankfully only a short stay!) I would not stay at another Bahia Principe hotel, let alone this one.

We are quite fussy about the cleanliness of any accommodation we stay at and were more than happy with the Bahia Principe.

The rooms were spacious and the mini bar(included in the price)was a nice touch, although we would have liked wine which strangely wasn't provided.

The food was something else, a wonderful selection. It was more difficult deciding what not to have than what to have. We ate at 3 of the a la carte restaurants again included in the price, we weren't impressed with the Asian restaurant, but the Italian and especially the Mexican were of a very high standard.

The staff were really friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them.

It's a beautiful hotel with very high standards, probably 1 of the best we've ever stayed at, but the entertainment, oh dear it was woeful, but never mind, once we'd had a couple of beers it didn't matter

I had read several reports on this hotel prior to our visit and was hopeful that it would meet our high expectations.

I am pleased to say the hotel itself most definitely did,it is immaculate and very well maintained.

We stayed at the Tenerife section which was the one we opted for when booking, in hindsight this was definitely the right choice as the Adeje section seemed very busy, lots of hustle and bustle and most importantly, lots of children. We had hoped that travelling so far outwith the school holidays would mean there wouldn't be many children there but unfortunately we were wrong.

The pool area was excellent, although the hotel rules stated no sunbeds were to be reserved this was ignored but we were still able to get beds in a decent area despite this.

It wasnt until a few days into our holiday that we realised that one of the pools was actually heated which was a welcome change to the ice cold one I had been shying away from.

The pool bar food is a bit bland really but it does the job if you just fancy a quick bite.

The rooms were really spacious and well maintained and the maid service was excellent. CNN and Sky News did get a bit tedious after a while though, its a pity there werent any more British Channels.

Moving on to the restaurants, I am quite a fussy eater generally and tend to stick to vegetarian options wherever possible. Having been all inclusive in Mexico last year in a 5 star hotel and had endless options available, I expected something along the same lines here.

Sadly this wasn't to be. Vegetarian choices are very limited, mainly to salads and pasta. On occasion there were other vegetables available but in the first few days of our stay these were kept barely luke warm and I tend to like my food hot at least.

My husband enjoyed the food most nights but he also did not enjoy eating cold food.

Also the restaurant could be very busy, we went at all different times to try and see if the food would be any hotter but quite often if we were later there would be no tables made up and it looked as though we were inconveniencing the staff by showing up at 9pm (even though it was open until 10.30pm)

On the 4th night of our stay the hotel manager was giving out questionnaires in the restaurant and I can only think that the biggest comment on these must have been the food temperature as the next night the food was very hot indeed which was a welcome change.

The only a la carte restaurant we visited was the Italian as none of the others offered any vegetarian dishes. This was a nice change and the freshly prepared pasta was the nicest I have tasted.

One major thing I feel should be mentioned about this hotel, the area in which the entertainment is staged, Pueblo Principe, you are not able to get all inclusive drinks at the bar.

You have to go inside and down the stairs into the hotel bar then carry your drinks back up and over into the square. However, if you wish you can purchase drinks here if you want. Now when you are on an all inclusive holiday you expect to be able to drink whilst watching the nightly entertainment and lets face it, the entertainment here was so poor you needed a drink just to endure it!
This is something we have complained about to the holiday company.

Overall, we would definitely recommend this hotel and would go there again without a doubt but only for one week, two weeks would be a bit boring really, it was very relaxing and was the kind of holiday we had hoped for we just hope the entertainment has improved by the next time we visit.
