| Small and friendly are probably the best words to describe the Nur Hotel and Apartments. This well run complex appeals to everyone from couples and families to groups of friends, with its central location in the pretty town of Kalkan making it a great base for any holiday. The emphasis is definitely on socialising at this family-run hotel, with the comfy TV lounge and pleasant pool bar designed to make you feel at home and mix with other guests.
With a mountainous backdrop in one direction and a view out across the sea in the other, the Nur Hotel and Apartments enjoys a beautiful setting which is just right for its relaxed atmosphere. For quality accommodation in an almost idyllic part of Turkey, this is a good place to start.
Due to hotel's location in the hilly resort of Kalkan, the Nur Hotel and Apartments may be unsuitable for the less mobile.

| said: Since my last report, Barish and Bobbie have had a lot of work done on the Hotel and all I might add to the good. Painting the fascade a different colour, redecorated the rooms and knocking two rooms into one to make a superb suite. The breakfast this time was only slightly different to last time, gone was the meat but there was still plenty of variation to fill up on to give you a good start to the day. The rooms as ever are kept immaculately clean as is the rest of the Hotel and its surroundings.
Most lunchtimes we ate in the Cafe Nur and the food was excellent, not one bad meal. We did have a meal one night in the Barbaros, again, the food was of a very high standard. As to the location of the Hotel, that is perfect for both town and the weekly market.
The Staff were as friendly as ever and Bayram, he is such a comical person, never a dull moment when he is around. I am in the belief that an extra cleaner is in employ, as is a male who doubles as chef. Such is the popularity of this Hotel that people return here time and time again. An additional piece of information is that the Hotel is now open all year round. For further information visit their website at www.nur-hotel.com
Entertainment, Barish was still doing his boat trip around the bay which proved very popular with guests. There was also a Bar-B-Q on a sunday night, this too proved very popular. With the Hotel preparing the food themselves you are on to an instant winner.

| said: A warm welcome awaits arrivals at this Hotel from Bobbie, Barosh and their Staff. We were Bed & Breakfast. The Breakfast was Turkish and consisted of Olives(Black and Green), tomatoes, cucumber, feta and cheddar cheeses, meat and on daily rotation, scrambled egg, boiled egg, egg bread and a potato dish. Cereal and other items come at extra cost. There was also jam and plenty of delicious bread plus tea and coffee. On the subject of food, there is a comprehensive snack menu available during the day, the quality of which is excellent. The Hotel has a rooftop Restaurant called Barbaros which has a fabulous view over Kalkan Bay. Again, food served here is excellent in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere.
The rooms are cleaned on a daily basis by two ladies who do a brilliant job. The whole Hotel is kept to a very high standard of cleanliness. Air Conditioning is available at £4 per day. Keeping your Room on for extra time is £15. As for the location of the Hotel, it is about 450 yards from the centre but it is down hill all the way, not suitable for people with walking difficulties. There are Restaurants and Supermarkets close by and new for this year is a Hamam Turkish Bath which is located 75 yards away.
Whilst there is no entertainment as such in the Hotel. Barosh has a boat, of which he likes to invite guests(minimum of 12) out for the day at 30 Ytl, approx £12 per head, this takes place at weekends. People who did this trip whilst we were here, came back declaring it was money well spent, with Barosh being the perfect Host.
Would we visit this Hotel again? Yes, we most certainly would. Everything about this place dictates an air of relaxation, nobody hassles you. The Staff can't do enough to be of service to you and are friendly, respectful and polite to all guests.
